Jedward want to go ‘head-to-head’ on Strictly Come Dancing

Jedward want to go "head-to-head" on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 23-year-old twins - John and Edward Grimes - have confessed they're "waiting" to be asked to compete in the BBC dance contest, but would compete against each other rather than as one contestant.
Edward said: "Seriously, every year we get asked if we're doing 'Strictly Come Dancing', and we're like, 'Hello! Still here waiting!'
"We'd be going up against each other. We'd be John Grimes from Jedward and Edward Grimes from Jedward. We'd be going head-to-head, like 'you're going down', 'no you're going down', and then John's voted out and I win the show!"
The former 'X Factor' contestants added they think they'd end up getting "married" to their professional dance partners if they took part in 'Strictly', but also have the capacity to "do all the shows".
Speaking to BT TV, John said: "I think we could do all the shows, like there's so much preparation to get ready for them, but I think we;d have to make sure we had the best dance partners, and then we'd go out and we'd end up getting married or something."
Edward added he thinks he'd win 'Strictly' because he already has "fan groups" for his hips.
He said: "I think onstage we move our hips a lot. I have fan groups for my hips, and I'm like, 'Yeah, good still shaking!'"

Paddy McGuinness nervous to meet William Roache

Paddy McGuinness was totally star-struck by William Roache on the set of 'Coronation Street'.
The 41-year-old comedian - who will be appearing on the ITV soap as Dougie Ryan from August - has revealed he had to refrain from calling the 83-year-old soap veteran by his character's name Ken Barlow, as that's how he thinks of the actor who has portrayed Ken since the very first episode of the soap in 1960.
Paddy said: "You're walking around and all of a sudden Ken Barlow walks around the corner.
"Obviously it's William Roache but you know so much of that character that I have to be careful in case I call him Ken."
The 'Take Me Out' presenter's character will be playing survival expert Dougie for just six episodes, and will clash with Tyrone Dobbs and Kirk Sutherland - played by Alan Halsall and Andrew Whyment - when they go on a camping trip with their other halves.
Paddy previously said: "Tyrone's trying to build a tent so Dougie takes over, Tyrone tries to build a fire and Dougie takes over that so what slowly happens is the girls start fancying Dougie and think he's fantastic, but the lads hate him.
"He's a really, really funny character. 'Coronation Street' has always had a rich vein of comedy running through it."

Danniella Westbrook offered £200k for Celebrity Big Brother

Danniella Westbrook has been offered £200,000 to appear on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
The 41-year-old actress has been approached by the Channel 5 reality show's bosses, as they think she'd be "a great housemate", and want to give her a lifeline, having recently been sacked from 'Hollyoaks' before she had even filmed any scenes and suffering from numerous personal problems.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, a 'Big Brother' insider said: "Drama seems to follow Danniella around so bosses think she will be a great housemate.
"The deal is also a massive financial boost after her recent spell of bad luck."
The former 'Eastenders' star - who walked out of the jungle in the second series of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' - was due to reprise her role in 'Hollyoaks' as Trudy Ryan, but bosses said she had breached her contract.
However, Danniella claimed she couldn't film at the soap's Liverpool set because she feared for her safety after her cage fighter ex-boyfriend Tom Richards - who she alleged assaulted her in April - moved nearby.
Danniella - who lost her septum to cocaine in the 1990s - previously said: "I couldn't get Tom out of my life and thought the easiest way out was killing myself. That's why I used cocaine. I was medicating myself. It has always been my drug of choice."
Danniella is rumoured to be joined by actor Paul Danan and former supermodel Janice Dickinson in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house when the series kicks off in August.

Vicky Pattison: I wish Geordie Shore bosses better advised me

Vicky Pattison wishes she'd been "better advised" by 'Geordie Shore' bosses.
The 27-year-old reality TV star quit the MTV show that made her famous last year after nine series, but has now admitted she wishes she'd taken "some time off" earlier on in her career, and been more like the character Issy in her new novel 'All That Glitters'.
Vicky said: "I have forged quite a successful career for myself out of 'Geordie Shore'. I feel very fortunate and I do work very hard, but there have been times when I wish I'd been better advised.
"I wish I'd taken some time off and taken time for myself or - if I'd realised what Issy realised towards the end - that all of those celeb parties, photo shoots and the glamorous lifestyle don't mean anything unless you've got your family and friends there supporting you."
The 'Judge Geordie' host - who was famous for being very outspoken - added she thinks Issy is a "better" person than she is, because she thinks before she speaks.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Vicky said: "Issy has a lot of traits but she's better than me, she's nicer than me because I made her that way. She thinks more before she speaks than I do. She's me if I could edit myself."

Nicole Kidman set for Compare The Market ad?

Nicole Kidman is reportedly in talks to star in a Compare The Market advert.
The Hollywood actress is the latest high-profile celebrity to be approached by the insurance company and bosses think she'll be "a great coup" for the brand, if she agrees to appear opposite the popular meerkat characters.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Nicole is one of Hollywood's finest so it'll be a great coup for the brand. Talks are ongoing, but if she does get the gig it's sure to be a lot of fun. She will be up for having a laugh with meerkats."
The 'Moulin Rouge' actress would star along famous meerkats, Aleksandr and Sergei, who most recently starred opposite 'The Terminator' actor Arnold Schwarzenegger to promote the company's Meerkat Movies 2-for-1 cinema offer.
Nicole last worked in Britain in children's film 'Paddington', but she didn't want her youngest kids Sunday and Faith to watch the movie because her role was "too viscous".
Nicole - who is married to Keith Urban - said: "I'm like 'I'm not playing the bear's mummy, no, I'm playing the person ... and that's when I realised they can't go see this film, I'm playing the taxidermist who wants to hurt the bear. Oh, my daughter was mortified. It was a risk, a terrible risk. They can't see it now.''

Olly Murs and Caroline Flack not jetting off

Olly Murs and Caroline Flack will not be attending 'The X Factor's judges' houses round.
The ITV show's former host Dermot O'Leary jetted off to the likes of Australia, Las Vegas and Barbados during his eight years on the show but it has been revealed that for this series, judges' houses will be filmed simultaneously.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Olly and Caroline are gutted they won't get to join the judges in all of these locations.
"Being with the judges and contestants at this crucial stage is one of the best bits of the job. And it beats being stood in a cold studio in Wembley.
"But they are excited about the series. Of course there'll be banter with the judges about them missing out."
It has yet to be confirmed where the judging panel - Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw - will be taking their contestants but it is thought the judges will only be allowed to pick somewhere that has UK-friendly timezones.
Meanwhile, an insider previously claimed the hosts are working to follow in the footsteps of the show's former presenter and perfect their dance routine to open the live shows.
They said: "Caroline and Olly have great chemistry on camera because they are great mates backstage. They have been thinking about how they need a trademark move on the show and have been trying things out during auditions."

Eamonn Holmes praises Ruth Langsford’s talent

Eamonn Holmes has praised Ruth Langsford's "effortless" talent.
The 55-year-old presenter is thrilled his wife and 'This Morning' co-host has a number of new projects - including a rumoured turn on 'Strictly Come Dancing' - in the pipeline because he thinks she deserves it.
He said: "This is Ruth's moment! There's an amazing amount of work coming her way and I adore her talent because it's effortless."
While Eamonn is impressed by Ruth's work, he isn't so wowed by her organisational skills and gets particularly annoyed with her when they are heading off on holiday and has even considered boarding the plane without her on a number of occasions.
He told Closer magazine: "Ruth really annoys me at the airport, we're chalk and cheese when it comes to travelling.
"My biggest bugbear is that Ruth doesn't know anything about airports. She goes off in one direction, I say, 'Right' and go off in another.
"When they announce the flight over the tannoy, Ruth always says, 'Ah good, that's us.'
"But instead of running for the plane, she decides that's the time to redo her lip balm or go to the loo, so I say to her, 'You know what, you go to the loo and I'll get on the plane.' "

Alan Titchmarsh wants role in Coronation Street

Alan Titchmarsh wants a role in 'Coronation Street'.
The 66-year-old TV gardener got his first taste of acting last year and now has a "taste" for it and would love a part in his favourite soap.
He said "I wouldn't mind a cameo in 'Coronation Street'. Last year, I made my West End debut in 'The Wind in the Willows' as the narrator.
"It gave me a taste for the boards, so a small part would be nice."
Away from his TV and gardening commitments, the 'Love Your Garden' presenter is also a bell ringer, something he first did when he was just 10 years old, and admits it is often a "surprise" for brides and grooms when they see him at their weddings.
He told Woman magazine: "Once a month I ring the bells for the morning service at my local church.
"I ring for weddings sometimes too. It always surprises the bride and groom when they see me on the end of a rope.
"I started bell ringing at the age of 10. I had a gap where I didn't do it and now I've come full circle."

Declan Bennett axed from EastEnders

Declan Bennett has been axed from 'EastEnders'.
The 34-year-old actor - who has played Dot Branning's grandson Charlie Cotton since early 2014 - is set to leave the BBC One soap after bosses reportedly decided to write out his character.
An 'EastEnders' spokesperson told Digital Spy: "We can confirm that Declan Bennett will be leaving 'EastEnders'. We wish him all the best for the future."
Bennett is currently working on his final scenes and has been spotted shooting on-location at a train station.
Charlie is joined by Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) and his son Matthew as he prepares to make a fresh start but it's so far unclear whether Roxy will be leaving Walford with him.
Charlie's character was first introduced as the grandson Dot never knew she had and soon became involved in some of the past year's most dramatic storylines as it was revealed he'd been lying about being a policeman and had helped to fake the death of his father, "Nasty" Nick Cotton.
'EastEnders' will air Charlie's exit in early autumn.
News of Declan's departure comes after Lindsey Coulson - who has played Carol Jackson on and off since 1993 - announced she had decided to quit the soap.
