Nicole Kidman is reportedly in talks to star in a Compare The Market advert.
The Hollywood actress is the latest high-profile celebrity to be approached by the insurance company and bosses think she’ll be "a great coup" for the brand, if she agrees to appear opposite the popular meerkat characters.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Nicole is one of Hollywood’s finest so it’ll be a great coup for the brand. Talks are ongoing, but if she does get the gig it’s sure to be a lot of fun. She will be up for having a laugh with meerkats."
The ‘Moulin Rouge’ actress would star along famous meerkats, Aleksandr and Sergei, who most recently starred opposite ‘The Terminator’ actor Arnold Schwarzenegger to promote the company’s Meerkat Movies 2-for-1 cinema offer.
Nicole last worked in Britain in children’s film ‘Paddington’, but she didn’t want her youngest kids Sunday and Faith to watch the movie because her role was "too viscous".
Nicole – who is married to Keith Urban – said: "I’m like ‘I’m not playing the bear’s mummy, no, I’m playing the person … and that’s when I realised they can’t go see this film, I’m playing the taxidermist who wants to hurt the bear. Oh, my daughter was mortified. It was a risk, a terrible risk. They can’t see it now.”
