More drama for Carla Connor

'Coronation Street's Carla Connor is set for even more drama.
The factory owner, played by actress Alison King, has already developed a gambling addiction after struggling to overcome the sense of guilt caused by the fire in her flat that led to the deaths of Kal Nazir and Maddie Heath but things are set to get even more dramatic.
Carla's problems will increase when her cousin Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) arrives in the street, swiftly followed by his father Johnny and sister Kate and they will bring big news for Carla.
Show producer Stuart Blackburn said: "The Connors are looking great. I think in Aidan, Johnny and Kate, we've really hit gold. One of those characters will deliver a bit of news to Carla that will change her sense of self and perception forever. It's going to be a real shocker.
"We've also got a lot more twists and turns for Tracy and Carla. They've been out on location filming some of the strongest two-hander scenes we've had this year."
Speaking previously about her character's addiction, Alison said: "She really believes she's responsible for the fire and their deaths and that's an awful thing to have to live with.
"[The gambling] all started when she was in LA. Michelle [Connor] found casino receipts in her bag. Like any addict, Carla's in total denial and gets angry if anyone suggests she might have a problem."

Marnie Simpson ‘axed from Geordie Shore’

Marnie Simpson is set to be axed from 'Geordie Shore'.
The 23-year-old reality TV star reportedly threw a tantrum after Ricky Rayment's marriage proposal was filmed for the show and as a result, producers have decided to look for a new cast member for the MTV programme.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "Marnie didn't want the biggest scene of her TV life filmed and threw a bit of a tantrum.
"After a talking to by producers the filming continued, but bosses now think her storyline has come to an end.
"Marnie was told the news earlier this week and is said to be devastated to have been dropped."
Ricky surprised Marnie with the proposal while she was shooting 'Geordie Shore' in Greece, even though he was originally planning to ask her to marry him when they went on holiday in Italy and his fiancee previously admitted she'd have preferred it if he had popped the question off camera.
She said: "The proposal itself was perfect, but I've always struggled to show emotion on camera, so I would have preferred them not to have been there. It will be nice to have the footage to look back on in years to come though."
Marnie's reported departure from 'Geordie Shore' comes after her fiance Ricky, 24, was ditched by 'The Only Way Is Essex' for being "too dull".
Ricky - who previously dated co-star Jessica Wright - has seen his airtime reduced considerably after he struck up a relationship with Marnie.

Nick Grimshaw brands Rita Ora clueless

Nick Grimshaw says his 'X Factor' co-star Rita Ora is clueless.
The DJ and the popstar have joined Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini on the panel of the ITV show this year and Nick admitted that he has been surprised by Rita's naivety, even comparing her to notoriously dim 'TOWIE' star Joey Essex.
He told The Sun: "She is like Joey with a good weave.
"She's so funny and doesn't even know when she's being funny. Her geography's unbelievable. Her naivety's quite charming. People will fall in love with her over it."
Nick admitted that he took advantage of Rita's cluelessness about geography to have a giggle at her expense after she asked him where Tenerife was when a contestant from the island started singing in Spanish.
He explained: "I told her it was in the Caribbean and he's singing in French.
"When he ended she was really serious and was like, 'You gave a good performance. When you started singing in French it became better'. Everyone in the arena lost it."
Nick's comments come after Simon branded Rita a "diva".
The music mogul finds the 'R.I.P.' singer "adorable" and thinks the fact she has an "ego" makes her a much more fascinating person.
He told heat magazine: "Rita is a diva, but adorable. I really do like her. I like people who have an ego and want to do well, it makes them more interesting.
"There is a side to Rita that I don't think people have seen yet, which is funny."

Kellie Bright signs up for Strictly Come Dancing

Kellie Bright will compete in the new series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'EastEnders' actress - who plays Linda Carter in the BBC soap - is the first female celebrity to be announced this year and said it was an opportunity she couldn't pass up.
She explained: "There are two main reasons I want to take part in this year's 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
"The first is that as I will be turning 40 next year, I think it is the perfect time for a new, exciting challenge. The second reason is because if I said 'no', Linda Carter would never forgive me!"
Kellie, 39, joins celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott and DJ Jeremy Vine who have previously been announced.
Celebrity chef Ainsley, 58, - who is best known as the host of cooking show 'Ready Steady Cook' - made a surprise appearance on 'The One Show' to reveal he will be taking part in the upcoming series of the BBC One dance contest.
He said: "I must admit that I do love to dance, but doing it in front of the nation is a whole different matter!
"In my day job the only type of salsa I know about is the one in my recipes so I am looking forward to rising to the challenge, bring it on!"
BBC Radio 2 and 'Eggheads' host Jeremy said: "They asked me and I just thought I just turned 50 this year I've got to start dancing properly. I can't go into the dad dancing.
"How could I say no to the biggest show in TV? Yes, yes, yes and yes again to the sequins and the Samba!"

Anne Robinson turns down I’m A Celeb

Anne Robinson turned down a £500,000 offer for 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'
The 'Watchdog' presenter revealed she has been approached by bosses from the ITV reality show more than once, with the last offer reaching about half a million pounds, but she still wasn't tempted.
Anne, 70, told Radio Times: "I think the last offer from 'I'm a Celebrity' was about half a million. I just wouldn't do it."
Anne added that people who take part do so to "keep themselves on the screen, but I've never bothered with any of that".
Anne also hit out at the difference between men and women on TV saying that female hosts are the victims of ageism.
She said: "If Huw Edwards or Evan Davis had twin sisters they wouldn't be reading the news or hosting 'Newsnight'.
"I'm not saying they're ugly. It's just a fact, particularly in light entertainment, that it's about pretty girls in the front row."
However, Anne - who has been open about having a facelift and regular Botox treatments - insisted her looks never factored into getting hired and said she has remained on TV because she is clever and funny.
But the former 'Weakest Link' presenter did admit there is a pressure to be thin.
She said: "I never got hired because I had beautiful breasts. I got hired because I could write and be funny.
"The trick for women's longevity on television is that you've got to be clever, versatile, funny and thin. I'm working at it!
"I've always been clever at moving on. I've never been dragged out kicking and screaming."

Laura Carmichael: Downton Abbey felt like home

'Downton Abbey' star Laura Carmichael admitted it was "very strange" leaving the castle.
The 29-year-old actress who plays Lady Edith in the ITV period drama felt like she was leaving her home behind because after six years the set of Highclere Castle felt like "home" to her.
She said: "It was very strange saying goodbye to the castle.
"It felt like, in a split second, it wasn't our home anymore. And, of course, it was never our home. It was the Highclere Castle. But it felt like it for over six years."
The blonde beauty said her time on the show is full of "fond memories and that all of the cast had a "big cry" when the final cut was over.
She told the Mirror newspaper: "And as soon as they said 'cut', you realised it was just pretend. It's full of so many fond memories and it was very emotional. We had a big cry."
Meanwhile, Michelle Dockery - who plays Lady Mary hinted that her character's final moments are "very unexpected" and a "great arc storyline" will unfold.
She added: "Her journey in this series, it was very unexpected. She goes through a whole other ordeal.
"Just when I thought it was kind of coming to an end and wrapping up for Mary, Julian [Fellowes] kind of threw a cat among the pigeons.
"So there is a really great arc storyline in this series. It's something I wasn't expecting and it's really clever what he does."
The final episode will be a Christmas day special on ITV1.

Ainsley Harriet to spice up Strictly Come Dancing

Ainsley Harriet has been confirmed for 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'Ready Steady Cook' presenter is the latest contestant to join the BBC's celebrity dancing contest and while he admitted he loves dance, performing for the "whole nation" is on another level.
He said: "I must admit that I do love to dance, but doing it in front of the nation is a whole different matter.
"When it comes to dancing it is about the discipline and how much effort you put in.
"If you put the time in then you can be a bit more expressive."
The 58-year-old TV chef joked of how the only "Salsa" he knew in "his day" was the one you cook with.
However, he is excited and is eager for "rising to the challenge".
He told BBC's 'The One Show: "In my day job the only type of Salsa I know about is the one in my recipes so I am looking forward to rising More contestants will be announced for the 13th series, which will be aired on BBC1 in September over the next few weeks.
Ainsley joins recently confirmed Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine who was added to the lineup on Monday (10.08.15).
The series will still be presented by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.

Gemma Collins can’t wait for sex after vagina surgery

Gemma Collins "can't wait" to have sex after having her vagina tightened.
The 'Only Way is Essex' star spent £2,000 on an intimate laser procedure and having her labia trimmed but hasn't slept with anyone since undergoing the treatment in March.
She said: "Designer vaginas are all the rage in Essex and it's an important part of my rebranding. I've become a virgin again!
"Sometimes the flaps on your vag drop and they can be 3cm long. My surgeon showed me some before and after pictures and I was thinking, 'Bloody hell, I'll have one of those!'
"I can't wait to test it out on my perfect prince - I haven't had sex since I had it done."
And the 34-year-old blonde also feels like a "new woman" after having vagina 'facials'.
She told Closer magazine: "Your vagina gets steamed, scrubbed and exfoliated. It doesn't really hurt, but it's a weird sensation. You feel like a new woman."
But the outspoken reality star won't be rushing into sleeping with someone new.
She added: "My vagina needs to be perfect for the next man I meet. He's going to be the one I marry."
