Jess Glynne rules out Strictly

Jess Glynne has ruled herself out of taking part in 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
Although the singer - who is currently enjoying her fifth UK number one single with 'Don't Be So Hard On Yourself' - will perform on the opening episode of the new series of the dance show, she insists she isn't good enough to compete.
When asked if she had any aspirations to join the line-up of the BBC programme, she told the Daily Express: "I'm not the most amazing dancer so I might not do that. I love watching it."
Meanwhile, Jess underwent an operation on her vocal cords earlier this year after suffering issues with her voice and previously admitted she found the procedure "one of the most terrifying things" ever.
She said: "I have to be honest with you, it's probably one of the most terrifying things I've gone through. It's pretty traumatic knowing that your instrument that's your career isn't working and you've got to have an operation.
"In every operation there's a risk, and you don't know whether it's gonna ... you know, obviously there's that 95 per cent chance, whatever they say, they can never say 100 per cent you're gonna be better. But the concern and the worry is the worst thing."
The 25-year-old star revealed she took advice from fellow singing sensation Sam Smith prior to her surgery as he had undergone a similar operation.

Laura Whitmore rocks out at V

Laura Whitmore unleashed her inner rock star at V Festival this weekend.
The 30-year-old presenter got to grips with the new 'Guitar Hero Live' game at the Virgin Media Louder Lounge backstage at the Chelmsford festival on Saturday (22.08.15), and impressed with her virtual musical talents.
And Laura - who was hosting the festival for MTV - wasn't the only famous face to give it a go as former 'Skins' star Kaya Scodelario and Ella Eyre were also seen rocking out and getting to grips with the new game, which is released nationwide on October 23.
However, Kaya admitted she wasn't very good and needed some assistance with her playing.
She tweeted: "Thank you kind man for teaching me how to play Guitar Hero... Sorry I wasn't very good at first! #guitarherolive (sic)"
Members of the public also had the chance to play the game - the first new edition to the franchise in five years - at this year's V Festival.
Fans can pre-order their copy of 'Guitar Hero Live' at select retailers worldwide.

Olly Murs: The Voice mistreated Tom Jones

Olly Murs thinks Sir Tom Jones "wasn't treated very nice" by 'The Voice' bosses.
The 31-year-old 'X Factor' presenter said he was "shocked" to hear that Sir Tom had been dropped from the BBC's rival talent show and only found out on the day that it was announced they had appointmented new judges Boy George and Paloma Faith.
He said: "I was shocked, and I do feel that the way that Tom has been treated wasn't very nice.
"Obviously he is really upset about it."
The "Heart Skips a Beat' singer - who found fame on the sixth series of 'The X Factor' in 2009 and will front the twelth series this year with Caroline Flack - added that the powers-at-be could have given the 'Sex Bomb' hitmaker more notice about the change in the judges line-up.
Speaking from Virgin Media V Festival on the weekend he told The Sun newspaper: "They clearly didn't do it the right way which is a shame because he's a really lovely guy and an iconic artist who I've always admired. I just hope Simon doesn't get rid of me like that!
"But it doesn't mean that Boy George isn't going to be good. I think it's a good signing for them."
Meanwhile the welsh crooner, 75, promised on that he will name those who wronged him in an upcoming memoir.
He said: "Somebody is going to pay for something."

Blackadder to return?

Tony Blackburn has revealed that 'Blackadder' could return.
The 69-year-old actor - who played Edmund Blackadder's servant and sidekick Baldrick in the British historical sitcom - admitted he has spoken to his former castmates about a reunion.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I do think a new series of 'Blackadder' is on the cards. I have spoken to virtually all the cast about this now.
"Expectations for a new series will be high because people not only remember the original; they remember who they were when it was on. It's a big danger."
However, Tony joked that the only problem would be trying to find the money to pay Hugh Laurie's wages as the actor is believed to have earned £250,000 an episode for his US TV show 'House' - which ran from 2004 to 2012.
He quipped: "The only problem is Hugh's fee. He's a huge star now - or so he'd like to think."
'Blackadder' starred Rowan Atkinson in the title role, along with other stars including Tim McInnerny, Stephen Fry and Miranda Richardson.
Richard Curtis and Atkinson co-wrote the first season of the show with Ben Elton joining Richard as co-writer for the subsequent episodes.

Davina McCall to host new ‘time travel’ show

Davina McCall will host a new show with a time travel twist.
The 47-year-old presenter has signed up for 'This Time Next Year' which will feature members of the public who want to make a huge change in their lives, such as losing weight or finding love.
According to Digital Spy, the participants will reveal to the studio audience what their plan is before coming back 'moments' later to reveal how they achieved it.
However, in reality, a full year will have passed.
Andrew Mackenzie, Chief Creative Officer of the Twofour Group, which is producing the new show, said: "This series breaks the form of the traditional makeover format in resisting the temptation to document the process of transformation.
"Instead we've chosen to ignore the typical production model and concentrate instead on delivering reveal after reveal."
The series will feature six hour-long episodes.
Meanwhile, Davina recently admitted to harbouring doubts about her presenting talents, despite enjoying a hugely successful career.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I remember presenting the BAFTAs and thinking it was ridiculous and I didn't know what I was doing.
"I wonder if, say, Graham Norton is also thinking, 'What am I doing?'"
However, Davina is also philosophical about her failings and said she's always keen to learn from them.
She reflected: "I'm not perfect, I am learning along the way from my mistakes.
"Nobody likes failing. It doesn't feel good.
"But if you learn from it and move on that's brilliant."

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini gets X Factor promotion

Simon Cowell has promoted Cheryl Fernandez-Versini to executive producer on 'The X Factor'.
The music mogul welcomed his fellow judge back to the panel of the ITV show last year after a spectacular falling out when he fired her from the US version and, after putting their differences behind them, they are now a formidable creative team.
Cheryl told the Daily Star newspaper: "This year Simon wanted me more involved in the decision making. He wanted to know my ideas, what I thought, who I thought would be good. I get excited and blurt things out and then he'll say 'That's actually a really good idea.'
"We have creative moments together. We work really well off camera, just him and me in a meeting."
Simon added: "It's true. I naturally consult Cheryl more because she's been working with me for a long time.
"She's passionate about the show and isn't just in it for the cash. She's very involved and she's definitely happier than a year ago, much happier."
Simon previously revealed that he relied on Cheryl, 32, after his mother died recently.
The 55-year-old music mogul tragically lost his mother Julie last month after an illness and he has revealed his fellow 'X Factor' judge was a voice of reassurance for him as he dealt with the loss.
He said: "When you go through a tough time in your life you see who your real friends are. Cheryl was there, she was incredible - and that's the side that maybe she doesn't show to many people.
"But she is very compassionate and genuinely is a real friend. You don't get that very often in this business."
The new series of 'The X Factor' will launch on Saturday 29th August at 8pm on ITV.

Cilla Black to feature in new BBC drama

Cilla Black will appear in a new BBC drama just weeks after her sudden death.
The 72-year-old TV legend passed away at her holiday home in Spain earlier this month after suffering a traumatic head injury due to a fall but viewers will see her on screen in 'Cradle To Grave' in the coming weeks.
The TV adaptation of Danny Baker's autobiography 'Going to Sea in a Sieve' features a scene where a 12-year-old Danny dreams of marrying her and Cilla was reportedly happy that some old footage of herself would be used.
A source told The Sun: "Danny loved Cilla when he was a youngster and he really wanted this scene to be included.
"Cilla was consulted about it and said she was happy to feature."
The series has been co-written by Danny and Jeff Pope, a friend of Cilla's family and it is believed her son Robert Willis has a walk-on part.
The insider added: "Jeff knows the family and worked with them on the ITV Cilla programme so they trusted him to do a great job.
"Obviously this was all done prior to Cilla's death but it is even more poignant now."

Linda Robson ‘lucky’ her career is ‘full on’

Linda Robson feels "lucky" her career is so "full on".
The 'Birds of a Feather' actress is delighted to be busy, both filming the sit-com and working as a panelist on 'Loose Women', especially as her appearances on the daytime talk show are going to increase for the next series.
Speaking about 'Loose Women', she said: "I'm not back on it now until November but when I do go back I'll be doing twice a week instead of once. It's good for me.
"I had a quiet few years and it's all full-on at the moment. I'm lucky I love what I'm doing."
And Linda doesn't even mind the fact the panel is constantly rotating as it "stirs up" the show and keeps things fresh.
She added: "The show works with an ever-changing panel. It's nice for us as it stirs things up a bit."
The 57-year-old actress is delighted to be filming a new series of the show with Pauline Quirke and Lesley Joseph.
She told Woman's Own magazine: "We've started filming on location already. It took a while to get confirmation for the third series.
"I think they do all their research and find out what the audience wants. We have 10 days on location and then we're going into the studio. It's going to be eight episodes so we're all pleased."

Lauren Goodger wants reality show with boyfriend

Lauren Goodger wants a reality show with her boyfriend.
The former 'The Only Way is Essex' star is smitten with Jake McLean and would love for their relationship to be documented on camera.
She said: "We'd love to do a reality show and we'd like to move abroad, but we;re not sure where yet."
Lauren - who was previously engaged to her 'TOWIE' co-star Mark Wright - loves taking selfies and wants to cash in on her obsession with other new business ventures.
She said: "I know my selfies look vain and people think I must love myself. If I didn't know me, I'd say the same thing, but I'm nothing like that.
"Some girls need help taking selfies - I want to launch a selfie app and a selfie book like Kim Kardashian did."
However, the 28-year-old star insists she and Jake couldn't handle the level of fame experienced by Kim and her husband Kanye West.
She added to Closer magazine: "We could never be like Kim and Kanye - there's too much pressure on them and I'm just a normal girl. The attention and speculation would be 10 times worse than it is now."
