‘X Factor’ judges think group category is best ever

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Rita Ora think the groups on 'The X Factor' this year are "the best they have ever been".
After it was announced that viewers will now vote using Twitter hashtags to decide who the judges will mentor on the ITV talent show, the 'Poison' hitmaker and former Girls Aloud singer have shared how eager they are to work with the group category.
Cheryl said: "The groups this year are the best they have ever been. We have got three groups that I would take right now from their first audition straight through to the live shows."
Rita told the Daily Star newspaper: "For some reason the groups are so powerful, they are literally on fire."
'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell and the judging panel - Rita Ora, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw - will find out who the public have chosen for them to mentor during the six-chair challenge at London's Wembley Arena next week, and the music mogul said Cheryl is "terrified" about the new system.
Simon told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "She's terrified she's going to get stuck with one category and someone else is going to get a better one. She's so competitive, which doesn't work with me any more, by the way."
Meanwhile, the 55-year-old star believes there is "no weak category" this year and he can predict who will win from each.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "There's no weak category this year. I can see who the winner of each category could be."

Rita Ora: Nick Grimshaw convinced me to join ‘X Factor’

Rita Ora signed up to 'The X Factor' because of Nick Grimshaw.
The new judges on the ITV talent show are best friends and the 24-year-old singer has addmitted that she was convinced to jump ship from BBC rival show 'The Voice' because the Radio One DJ, 31, had already signed to Simon Cowell's new line-up.
She said: "It was a definite bump up in my decision because he's one of my best friends, so for me, having a best friend on the panel next to me definitely made me think.
Rita previously claimed she left 'The Voice' because it clashed with her music commitments and she said "yes" to 'The X Factor' offer because Simon gave her a job as a guest judge in 2012.
She said: "People forget that Simon Cowell was the reason why I got a TV job in the first place."
But the 'Poison' singer is happy to admit that Grimmy was the icing on the cake.
She told The Mirror: "Having Grimmy makes me feel that I can say things that I usually say in our private life, and Grimmy having me makes him feel like he can say the jokes he thinks other people might not get because he knows I'll get them. We balance each other out."
She added: "The one thing Grimmy and I said to each other is that we didn't want to change how we are normally with each other just because we're on TV. I was like, 'OK, great', because I didn't want it to get weird. And it didn't, it actually got even better."
The 'X Factor' returns August 29.

Rylan Clark’s furious fiance

Rylan Clark's fiancé is "furious" he made the 'Celebrity MasterChef' final.
The 'CBB Bit On the Side' host admitted he rarely every cooks at home because he is so busy and his partner Dan Neal doesn't understand why he never enters the kitchen if he is so talented.
He said: "I'm just a quick learner - just taste it. And I've not cooked since the show ended three months ago until I was on 'This Morning'.
"Dan has got the right hump. He's furious I got to the final because I never cook and he's f***ing hungry. I'm just always too busy."
And Rylan admitted he actually finds cooking very stressful.
Asked why he doesn't cook, he said: "No one is paying me. It's such a stress. I can't be bothered."
But the former 'X Factor' finalist would love to release a cook book of his own.
He told heat magazine: "I'd love to have a cook book. I'd call it something like, 'If I Can Do It, So The F**k Can You'."
Though Rylan and Dan are supposed to be planning their wedding, the 30-year-old star admits the plans are currently "on hold" as he has been so busy with work.
He said: "The planning is going really badly. When I've been working on 'Big Brother', everything has been on hold."

Mark Wright tips sister Jessica for I’m A Celeb

Mark Wright thinks it would be funny to see his sister Jessica in 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'
The brunette beauty recently revealed she would love to follow in her brother's footsteps and take part in the reality TV show and while Mark is all for it, he is looking forward to having a laugh at seeing her try to cope in the great outdoors.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I think she'll be good, she's probably a little bit less outdoorsy than me so it would be a bit funnier to see her do it. Although I wasn't exactly a brave cat was I?
"It would be quite funny she likes to do sports and challenges and stuff like that, so I think she would love it."
Mark's former 'The Only Way Is Essex' co-star Gemma Collins has been tipped for a return to the jungle after quitting during her first stint last year and Mark thinks she should.
He said: "Go give it another go! She didn't enjoy it last time, So if she wants to go, good on her for trying it again!"
Mark may have left 'TOWIE' behind for a presenting career, but the star admitted he still loves the show.
He said: "I like the show I think it's a great format. People say why do you watch it? If people watch soaps, they want to watch drama unfold, you're doing that, but you're watching it with real lives so it's even more edge of your seat stuff."
Meanwhile, Mark might be a celebrity but he has teamed up with luxurious Greek-style yogurt brand Oykos for a new competition which will give the winner the chance to be waited on hand and foot by Mark.
And he is hoping that the winner will allow him to have a nice and easy day.
Mark said: "I hope I'm going to get over there and we are going to sit down and have a cup of tea, watch a film, that's what I'm hoping basically. You know what it could be anything, the only thing I probably wouldn't want to do is pick up dog poo but I'm their butler so I got to do it if they ask me to do it."
To be in with a chance to win, find one of 10 lucky stickers inside your Mark Wright Oykos promotional pack and go to www.oykos.co.uk/winahunkyhelper.

Anita Rani signs up for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’

Anita Rani is "so excited" to take part in this year's 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The TV presenter has been confirmed as the 11th celebrity to join the BBC One dancing competition and can't wait for rehearsals to start.
Announcing the news during the 'One Show' tonight (24.08.15), the 37-year-old star said: "So many elements of 'Strictly' terrify me but I shall try and think #BeyonceAlwaysOnBeat as I hit the dance floor.
"I'm so excited to indulge that fantasy and hopefully learn some mean moves in the process. Let's get our groove on!"
The brunette beauty has also appeared on 'Watchdog' and 'Countryfile' in the past, as well as being part of the team that presented the BBC's Royal Wedding coverage in 2011.
News that Anita will compete on the show comes just hours after it was revealed former The Wanted singer Jay McGuiness will also be taking part.
He previously said: "My family are such huge 'Strictly' fans, I know I've made them very happy by taking part - I can't wait to get started!
"I love to dance but this is going to be so different from anything I have done before, I'm up for it!"
Other contestants will include Peter Andre, Daniel O'Donnell, Katie Derham, Carol Kirkwood, Ainsley Harriott, Kellie Bright, Georgia May Foote, Jeremy Vine and Anthony Ogogo.
A number of other celebrities will be announced before the show kicks off on Saturday, September 5.

The Wanted’s Jay McGuiness for Strictly Come Dancing

The Wanted's Jay McGuiness will take part in 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'Glad You Came' hitmaker is the tenth celebrity confirmed for the BBC One dancing competition and says he has made his family "very happy" as they are big fans of the show.
Speaking on BBC Radio 1, he said: "My family are such huge 'Strictly' fans, I know I've made them very happy by taking part - I can't wait to get started!
"I love to dance but this is going to be so different from anything I have done before, I'm up for it!"
However, despite his boy band background, the 25-year-old singer has admitted his dancing skills are limited.
He said: "In the group we were about as coordinated as a sack of frogs, so they gave up and made us stand in different positions and walk around a bit, and we struggled with that."
And Jay - who is hoping he "gets past halfway" in the competition - is worried about the first steps he takes on the dance floor.
He added: "That I completely blank. I don't think I've ever seen someone just stand there for the entire duration of the song, and I really don't want to be the first."

Simon Cowell almost quit X Factor

Simon Cowell almost quit 'The X Factor' after his mother died.
The 55-year-old music mogul was left devastated when his beloved mother Julie died in July at the age of 89 and while Simon went back to work just a few days later, he admitted he considered leaving the show.
He told the Sunday Express newspaper: "I thought about it long and hard. I gave myself two or three days.
"I know it sounds like a cliché, but having such a strong bond with my mum meant I knew exactly what she'd have said. It would have been: 'This is your show, you love the show, go back and do your job.'"
Simon also revealed that returning to work so soon was quite difficult.
He said: "I'm not going to lie, there were times it was incredibly difficult. But then there were other times I was able to switch my mind off and concentrate on what was happening and the contestants.
"I know I'll miss her every day, but I also know I'm incredibly grateful to have had her. She was an optimist, my mum, and I think I've got that in me as well. I'm trying not to be the victim here."

Kimberley Walsh distracted by Sarah on Corrie

Kimberley Walsh can't watch Sarah Harding on 'Coronation Street'.
The singer made a guest appearance in the ITV soap as Joni Preston recently but her Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley admitted she found it distracting to see her pal on the famous cobbles.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's weird seeing Sarah in 'Corrie'. I don't think I can look at it like anyone else. It's like Sarah, 'What are you doing? Get out of the Street'.
"It doesn't seem right. I can't seem to put her in the character. It's just funny, I can't get my head around it. It's weird."
33-year-old Sarah's guest appearance was slated by fans and critics, but 'Corrie' actress Kym Marsh insisted Sarah had a tough job in appearing alongside such well-loved stars.
Kym said: "Sarah Harding has had a right slating for her performance as Joni Preston on 'Corrie'.
"I feel for her as it's hard for anyone to come into a long-running TV show with such well-loved characters.
"Sarah's first scene was with Rita in The Kabin and of course she's going to be compared with actors like that.
"Don't forget, she was probably nervous too. I know I was when I came into the show. She's come in as a guest artist and I think the way people have been so vocal has been a bit harsh."

Nathalie Emmanuel drops Game of Thrones hints

Nathalie Emmanuel has dropped some hints about season six of 'Game of Thrones'.
The former 'Hollyoaks' actress currently stars as Missandei on the HBO fantasy series and revealed that fans can look forward to some more of their favourite characters meeting after last year's interactions between Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage).
Speaking in V Festival's Virgin Media Louder Lounge over the weekend, she said: "I guess this season definitely has a lot of momentum, you feel that from the beginning.
"I think the fans are going to suddenly be seeing even more characters... interacting with characters they haven't seen them interact with before.
"We had a bit of that in the last season, but it kicks up a bit more this season so it's pretty exciting."
Nathalie also revealed that Dinklage is one of her favourite actors.
She told Digital Spy: "He is incredible and such a nice man, he's so, so sweet and so much fun. It's an absolute pleasure working with him.
"You have your favourites on the show - I was a fan from the beginning and it was definitely him and Daenerys as my favourite characters. So to bring those two people together, that's really exciting."
