Lindsay Lohan allegedly couldn't afford to pay her personal assistant.
The 27-year-old actress has parted ways with Matt Harrell because she is reportedly strapped for cash after wrapping up production on her self-titled reality show for Oprah Winfrey's OWN network.
A source told gossip website RadarOnline.com: "Matt had moved from Los Angeles to New York City to work for Lindsay..... He is extremely professional and very good at his job. Previously Matt had worked for Prince and to say working for Lindsay was difficult and chaotic would be an understatement."
Matt continued working for the 'Mean Girls' star without pay for a few weeks, as he searched for a new job.
The insider said: "Matt still agreed to accompany Lindsay to do press for the show. He even went with her for her appearance on 'Ellen.' He is hoping to get another job with another celebrity by helping Lindsay out."
The source added: "Lindsay would love to have Matt back as her assistant, but she just can't afford him. He did a really good job for her."
The troubled actress - who has been to rehab six times - admitted on Sunday night's (30.03.14) episode of her reality series that she has "come very close" to relapsing.
She said: "I do love the nightlife and hearing loud music and laughing and having fun.
"I'm sober, but it has come very close. And it's really scary."
Her sober coach Michael Cormier also decided it was time to move on and later implied he was unsure whether she had relapsed.
Asked if she is still sober, he said: "I don't know. I'm not going to discuss whether or not Lindsay is still sober. That is between Lindsay and Lindsay. I have no hard evidence that she's not."

Robin Wright's first ex-husband has died.
Dane Witherspoon, who was married to the 'House of Cards' actress for two years until 1988, passed away on Saturday (29.03.14) at the age of 56.
The former couple met when they co-starred on the soap opera 'Santa Barbara' together in 1984.
Actor A Martinez, who also starred on the series, announced the news on his Facebook page, according to Soap Opera Digest.
He wrote: "Dane passed this morning. People who watched Santa Barbara in its earliest days will remember him as Joe Perkins, a character to which he brought a quiet grace and deep, bittersweet sense of soul."
Robin, who was also previously married to Sean Penn for 13 years until 2010, with whom she has daughter Dylan, 22, and son Hopper, 20, got engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Ben Foster, in November.
The blonde beauty, 47, recently admitted that she found her divorces "devastating."
Robin also said her 33-year-old partner has given her a new lease of life and made her feel young again.
She added: "I know I'm almost 48, but I feel like I'm 30. I feel like I've digressed and now I'm going to live my 30s again."

Pharrell Williams plans to have "fun" being a judge on 'The Voice' USA.
The 'Happy' hitmaker shared his excitement on Twitter after NBC confirmed that he is replacing CeeLo Green on the show's seventh season later this year.
The 40-year-old producer and singer retweeted a message from the show and wrote: "This is going to be so fun '@NBCTheVoice: Okay, we can OFFICIALLY say it! WE ARE SO #HAPPY to announce PHARRELL WILLIAMS = #NewVoiceCoach' "
Pharrell previously appeared on season four as a guest mentor alongside his good pal Usher, who is working on the current season and up until now has had a rotating spot with CeeLo as a full-time coach.
Country star Blake Shelton and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine are also on the judging panel, while Christina Aguilera and Shakira take turns every season.
'Forget You' singer CeeLo, 39, announced last month that he wouldn't be returning to the show again, as he is developing his own TV show.
He said: "I'm not coming back guys. I'm going to continue my relationship with NBC. I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year.
"But yeah, I'm going to miss 'The Voice' too. So I'm not coming back guys."

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin want a quick divorce.
The former couple, who announced their separation last Tuesday (25.03.14) after 10 years of marriage, reportedly want to legally dissolve their relationship as quickly as possible, as they are worried things could turn ugly between them.
A source told gossip website TMZ.com that the 41-year-old actress and 37-year-old Coldplay rocker, who have daughter Apple, nine, and son Moses, seven, are trying to come to an amicable custodial and financial agreement, as they have no interest in airing their dirty laundry in a trial.
One insider claimed the couple have both done things during their marriage that they don't want to be exposed in leaked legal documents and are eager to avoid any more cheating rumours.
The source added that they are determined to keep their split amicable so a judge will sign off on their divorce sooner rather than later.
But it seems the 'Iron Man 3' actress is unlikely to start dating again anytime soon, as she admitted during an interview in 2012 that she was glad her single days were behind her and had found her "sexuality" with Chris.
Speaking on celebrity interview series 'The Conversation with Amanda De Cadenet,' she said: "I personally think that only in a committed relationship where you trust the other person with everything and there's real intimacy there, that's where you find your sexuality. You don't find it on a one-night stand.
"It has to be a longer term situation where you're completely safe and that's where it starts to reveal itself."
She also joked that she had "s****ed everyone" when she was younger.

Mila Kunis flew to Iowa to show Ashton Kutcher's family her growing baby bump.

The insider said: "They are happy, healthy, and excited to start a family."
A friend recently claimed the couple are planning to get married in an LA registry office as early as next month.
But another source insisted: "There is no rush to get married. The wedding will be very intimate and private."
Ashton, 36, began dating the brunette beauty in 2012, following his split from his first wife Demi Moore, but they have known each other since Mila was 14.

The couple, who started dating in 2011 and got engaged last April, tied the knot in a low-key ceremony on Sunday (30.03.14).
A spokesperson for 'The Talk' co-host confirmed the news to PEOPLE.com.

She tweeted: "Dadda I'm on my way to you! Just waiting on mum.... I can't believe you sent a plane for me you really do spoil me rotten! I am the luckiest girl in the world to have a father like you!!!!! I love you soooooooo much Dadda #blacksabbath #madisonsquargardens (sic)"
Though Kelly was excited about making the trip, she admitted there was one aspect of the journey she wasn't looking forward to.

And the 29-year-old star has had quite a weekend of travel, as on Friday (28.03.14) she joined her mother Sharon Osbourne at Sir Elton John's 67th birthday celebrations in Las Vegas, before heading for an "adventure" in Palm Springs, California, with her friends on Saturday (29.03.14).

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will mark their marriage with matching tattoos.
The 'Moneyball' actor and his actress fiancee - who raise six children together - already each have multiple pieces of body art but want to commemorate their union with some "weird" new inkings.
A source said: "[They are deciding] with what and where they will ink themselves to mark their long-awaited marriage.
"Brad really wants to do something special, and frankly, a little weird to mark the occasion, and they want to get the exact same design, in the exact same spot in their bodies."
The couple are planning to have the designs etched somewhere that isn't always visible and Brad, 50, is particularly enjoying coming up with the right piece.
The source added to RadarOnline.com: "Brad is like a teenager again as he and Angelina decide on their matching tattoos. He's let Angelina help him pick out tatts in the past but this time it's a real collaboration.
"Don't expect it to be something that's visible when they're out day to day. They might just acknowledge to the press that they did it, but keep the actual content of the tattoos as their love secret."
Brad and 38-year-old Angelina - who got engaged in 2012 - are expected to marry later this year.
