Hugh Jackman has spent over £200,000 on scratchcards for his film crews.
The 'Wolverine' star has reportedly been splashing out on lottery cards for production staff working on his films for the past 14 years as he thinks the knowledge that they could be set to win huge cash prizes helps to boost their morale on set.
An insider revealed: "He loves that it helps keeps spirits up."
However, despite spending a huge sum on various scratchcards over the years, no-one is said to have won a substantial amount of money as of yet.
The 45-year-old actor's agent told The Sun newspaper: "There have been winners but no one's hit it big - yet."
Meanwhile, Hugh is said to have been doling out more of them than ever while filming his latest blockbuster 'Pan' - in which he stars as Blackbeard alongside Amanda Seyfried and Burberry model Cara Delevingne - in the UK.
And the Australian star's generosity doesn't end there as he recently helped his overweight pal - Australian radio and TV personality Gus Worland - get fit for the New York City Marathon.
Gus admitted earlier this year: "Jacko and I talk a lot and as expected he is very honest and passionate with his advice.
"He's proud of me but is not concerned that I'll take over [his role as] Wolverine."

The 49-year-old actor - who has previously been romantically linked to brunette beauty Kelly Brook, and popstar Alexandra Burke - recently opened up about his requirements for a partner, emphasising they should be "opinionated", "funny", and "incredibly beautiful".

Jackie Chan's son was arrested in a drugs bust.
Jaycee Chan, 32, and his actor friend Kai Ko, 23, were detained by police last Thursday (14.08.14) after more than 3.5oz of marijuana was discovered at Jaycee's home, according to a statement on Beijing police's official micro blog.
Jaycee's arrest comes as Beijing police are cracking down on drug use but Beijing Municipal Anti-Drug Office deputy director Jin Zhihai insists officials are not targeting celebrities as such.
He told the Beijing Times: "If there is an increased crackdown on drugs, the number of celebrity offenders will also rise."
Despite his comments, actor Gao Hu, 40, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and cannabis just last week.
Like his father, Jaycee is also an actor but his movies have not been as successful as the likes of some his dad's motion pictures including 'Rush Hour'.
Jackie has previously said he wished Jaycee had joined the army when he was younger to "temper his character" and revealed he wouldn't be leaving his son any of his millions made from his movie career when he passes away.
Speaking in 2011, he said: "If he is capable, he can make his own money. If he is not, then he will just be wasting my money."

The 'What If' actor suffers from cluster headaches, which means he takes blood pressure medication and also has to undergo electrocaridiograms (ECGs), but insists he is "perfectly fine".
He said: "You have to be on blood pressure medication and have an ECG every so often ... but don't worry, I'm perfectly fine."
The 25-year-old star was also left unimpressed when visiting the US embassy for a visa interview, only to be told by a member of staff he looked "tired".
He told The Guardian newspaper: "I was like, er, thanks random f***ing person who works at the embassy."
Daniel shot to fame playing the lead role in the 'Harry Potter' franchise and he admits he has always put himself under pressure to do well as he feared his career would be over when the film series came to an end.
He said: "I think I have to apply that amount of pressure to myself because I want to do well. Now, maybe that's not the healthiest way to function ... but also, frankly, since the age of 20, all of the interviews I've done have involved people asking about my impending failure, and how I felt about the possibility of that.
"And so, when you're confronted with that so often, you start to react to it. My own reaction was always to kick hard against it and think, f**k it, you might as well be bold now, make some interesting choices and see where that takes you."

The 38-year-old actress has announced she and her husband Paul W S Anderson are set to become parents again after finding out that she is pregnant.
Taking to her Facebook page last night (18.08.14), she wrote: "Happy Monday everyone!
"This was originally going to be a post to tell you how excited I am about flying to Cape Town, South Africa to begin working on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
"But... My husband Paul and I just discovered that we are expecting another baby!!! (sic)."
The brunette beauty also went on the explain that her pregnancy has meant that filming for 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter', which her husband produces, has been pushed back due to the physical constraints.
She added: "So after a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone's best interest to wait till the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle an RE movie.
"Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn't think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo! Lol! I imagine the only thing I'll be killing in the near future is an endless supply of cupcakes. Yikes...
