Nicole Richie spends $20,000 on underwear every year.
The ‘Candidly Nicole’ star – who has children Harlow, six, and Sparrow, four, with husband Joel Madden – works hard to keep a "spark" in her marriage, even when the Good Charlotte rocker is working on ‘The Voice’ in Australia.
A source told America’s OK! magazine: "Intimacy is a priority for them. Nicole likes to buy lingerie to spice things up. She spends a good $20,000 a year [on lingerie].
"Even with Joel shooting ‘The Voice’ in Australia for months at a time, they Skype and text daily to keep the spark alive."
Nicole recently admitted she and Joel – who both had parents that divorced when they were young – work hard to be a "team" to provide their kids with a "healthy family life".
She said: "We met and we were partners from day one.
"And from the second we found out we were going to parents together, we looked at each other and we said, ‘OK, both of our parents are divorced. We both have had ups and downs with our parents and we don’t really have a strong example of what a healthy family life is. But, we’re recognising that now, so let’s work at it and let’s go through this together as a team.’
"It’s been great. And I would say that’s the easiest and hardest part."
