Justin Bieber is getting "back to work".
The 'Boyfriend hitmaker - who released his last studio album 'Believe' in 2012 - has revealed he is set to start working on "overdue" new music following a break with his on-off girlfriend Selena Gomez in St Martin.
He wrote on picture sharing site Instagram last night(27.09.14): "I've been on this break for too long. #newmusic #back2work #vacationtimesup #longoverdue."
The 20-year-old singer first hinted that he would be returning to the recording studio earlier this week when he perforated tissue in his ear after leaping off a cliff.
Justin broke the news of his painful injury to his 55.1 million followers on Twitter but quickly reassured fans it wouldn't have any long-term effects on his career.
He said: "Busted my ear drum cliff diving. Doc says might need surgery now. Sucks. (sic).
"My ear drum might back us up a little but I'm still bringing you this new music. Much love. Damn u cliff diving! (sic)."
Meanwhile, it appears the singer is keen to turn over a new leaf following a number of run ins with the law over the past year, and has even given up alcohol and ditched junk food in the hope of boosting his career.
A source said previously: "Justin has been boasting to his friends about his new healthy lifestyle.
"He no longer drinks and has stopped eating junk food, too. He's had a difficult few months and is hoping that this will give him a fresh start."

David McIntosh "only loves and wants" Kelly Brook.
The 28-year-old body builder has slammed claims he cheated on the model in a letter published on Twitter today (28.09.14) and confessed he was left "devastated" when the pair split earlier this week.
David also rubbished rumours that he had cheated on Kelly with his friend Sarah Harper during the relationship.
He wrote: "I did not cheat on Kelly what so ever. Kelly is my world and, other than my son, she's the only person I've ever truly cared about in my life.
"I'm incredibly hurt and sickened by Sarah's false accusations and believe she has done this out of jealousy and spite because she knows that I'm not interested in her romantically and I only love and want Kelly."
Although David gushed over the brunette beauty, 34, he added he was disappointed she had not stood by him in the wake of the allegations and promptly ended their engagement.
He explained: "Since being with kelly I've been so happy. I've been focused and working hard to become the best man I can be. I'm absolutely devastated that Sarah's lies have caused Kelly to end our engagement but am even more deeply upset that the woman I thought loved me and was literally my life my would not stand by me."
The former 'Gladiators' star later thanked friends and family for supporting him during the split.
He posted on the social media site: "I very much appreciate the support I have had from friends, family and the general public truly thankful for being heard out not judged."

Vanessa Hudgens has offered her support to Sarah Hyland after she successfully secured a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend Matthew Prokop.
The 'High School Musical' actress sent a text to the 'Modern Family' star - who recently ended her five-year romance with the actor amid claims he assaulted her and threatened her life - and believes that all Sarah needs to help her through this difficult time are her friends.
She told US Weekly: "I sent her a text earlier. I haven't heard back from her, but I love her. I adore her.
"All you need is your best friend. I feel like every girl feels that way.
"All you need is a couple of girls who are always there by your side, you can call no matter what time of the night it is and know that they'll be there for you. As long as you have that, you're doing pretty good in life."
Sarah, 23, who plays Haley Dunphy on the ABC comedy series, has accused Matthew, 24, of terrorising her both verbally and physically during the last four years of their relationship and was granted a protection order against him, requiring him to stay 100 yards away from her and her dog, Barkley Bixby, at all times.
According to court documents, obtained by gossip website TMZ.com, Matthew also allegedly pinned her against a car during an argument about her outfit in May before repeatedly calling her a "c**t" and choking her.
The Emmy Award-winner states: "His grip was so tight that I could not breathe or speak. I was scared and in fear for my life."
Sarah even asked her co-star Julie Bowen, who plays her mother, to come to her house to help her "peacefully end the relationship," but claims Matthew freaked out when he arrived home to an intervention.
After he threw a lighter at her, Sarah claims Julie stepped in and told her to leave the house, as she wasn't safe around the actor.
She also says Matthew threatened to set one of her homes on fire and told her she would never see her dog again.

David McIntosh insists there a "two sides" to his split from Kelly Brook.
The former 'Gladiator' - who split from the brunette beauty, 34, earlier this week amid claims he had remained close to his ex-girlfriend Sarah Harper throughout their engagement - has hit back at the rumours on Twitter, hinting that his version of events are somewhat different to his former fiancée's.
He wrote on the site earlier today(28.09.14): "There are two sides to every story. You are free to believe what you wish...it doesn't alter the facts."
News of the bitter break-up first emerged when Kelly shared their split on the social media website.
She wrote: "It's a sad Day but I wanted to share with you that David and I are no longer engaged (sic).
"I love and respect him and wish him all the best."
However things soon turned sour between the pair after it emerged the model has been sending "vile" messages to David's ex - claiming they had been texting while the couple had been together.
Sarah told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "This has gone on for months and I have never said a word. David originally cheated on me with Kelly and I've kept my mouth shut.
"But some of the things she has said to me are just disgusting. I have never heard these words come out of a woman's mouth, let alone that of a so-called English lady.
"David begs and begs to see me. At the same time I get the most vile abuse from Kelly.
"Their relationship was an absolute mess and I want nothing to do with either of them.
"She paints herself as an English Rose - but she is actually a venomous thorn."
News of the shock split came just days after Kelly was finalising plans for her big day with the 28-year-old body builder.
The couple were also planning to spend £300,000 on a luxury yacht for their Greek honeymoon.

Sir Roger Moore has given up alcohol.
The legendary 'James Bond' star - who portrayed 007 in seven films over 12-years - has confessed he will no longer be enjoying martinis as he suffers from type 2 diabetes and will be sticking to low-calorie soft drink Coke Zero mixed with non-alcoholic beer in the future, reports the Sunday People.
The 86 year old - whose illness requires him to limit his sugar and alcohol intake - said: "I am now slightly addicted to Coke Zero mixed with non-alcoholic beer. I look like a man drinking that."
The veteran actor - who was aged 45 when he took on his first role as the secret agent in 'Live and Let Die' in 1973 - joked that despite his age he was still able to get dressed promptly if he doesn't lose his balance.
He explained: "As long as I don't keep falling over when I'm trying to put on my socks, it takes me about 10 minutes to get ready."
Sir Roger also recently confessed he is pleased he will be "eternally" recognised as the literary character and insists there is "no downside" to people calling him 'Mr Bond'.
He said: "Being eternally known as Bond has no downside.
"People often call me Mr Bond when we're out and I don't mind a bit. Why would I?"
He added: "I still have some of Bond's suits in my wardrobe but they don't fit me now."

Lady Gaga has claimed $1.4 million in legal costs following a failed plagiarism lawsuit against her.
The 'Pokerface' hitmaker - who was sued by Chicago-based musician Rebecca Francescatti for allegedly copying her 1999 song 'Juda' in her 2011 track 'Judas' - has filed papers claiming back close to $1.4 million that she paid her lawyers over the course of the three year case.
In the papers obtained by TMZ.com, Gaga, 28, has requested Rebecca foot the staggering bill after a judge dismissed the case on the grounds that the two songs were "not substantially similar" earlier this year.
U.S. District Judge Marvin E. Aspen - who determined Rebecca failed to provide sufficient evidence of the alleged similarities between the tracks - said at the time: "We conclude as a matter of law that the two songs are not substantially similar. No reasonable trier of fact could find that defendants copied protected expression in Francescatti's song. The songs do not 'share enough unique features to give rise to a breach of the duty not to copy another's work.' Accordingly, we grant defendant's motion for summary judgement."
In the ruling, Judge Aspen further explained the lawsuit's objection to a similar title and similar musical notes "are not sufficient to give rise to a finding that the Gaga song has captured the total concept and feel of the Francescatti song".
