Billy Crystal broke down at Robin Williams' memorial service.
The 66-year-old actor - who previously paid tribute to the star at this year's Emmy Awards in Los Angeles - hosted the touching ceremony at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco on saturday(27.09.14) and was left "in tears" as he paid his last respects to his late friend during the "beautiful" service.
An insider told US Weekly: "He was in tears."
While a close friend of his family told People.com: "The ceremony was such a beautiful tribute and celebration of Robin's life. There was so much joy as well as tears. He touched so many, many people's lives and brought so much happiness and light."
According to the site, guests - including Bette Midler, Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Stiller, George Lucas, Penny Marshall, Danny DeVito as well as Robin's children Zak, 31, Zelda, 25, and Cody, 22 and his widow Susan Schneider - received heartfelt souvenir ribbon wristbands from the memorial that read: "Love the stillness of life."
During the ceremony, Susan opened up about her relationship with her late husband and in a "moving" speech shared details about the day she met the 'Good Will Hunting' star.
The source explained: "One of the most moving parts was when Susan recounted the day they met at the Apple store.
"They smiled at each other from across the room, which turned into a conversation and them becoming best friends from that moment on."
The 63-year-old actor was found hanged at his home in August amid reports he had been struggling to overcome his alcohol addiction.
Susan later revealed in a statement that the star had been showing "the early stages of Parkinson's Disease, which he was not yet ready to share publicly."

Kourtney Kardashian's son is helping her decorate their nursery for his unborn sibling.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star and her boyfriend Scott Disick are due to welcome their third child - reportedly a girl - into the world in December and have been preparing their son, Mason, four, and daughter, Penelope, two, for their new arrival by getting them to help organise a special room in their $8.5 million home in Calabasas, California.
A source said: "Mason loves spending time in the nursery with his mom and is helping decorate. It's almost finished."
The 35-year-old beauty felt sick for much of her first trimester, but "she's pretty much back to normal" now.
The insider added: "Kourt takes a nap every afternoon." Meanwhile, Scott, 31, is equally excited for their third child to arrive and is trying his best to support his girlfriend.
The source told Us Weekly magazine: "Scott isn't travelling so much so he can be by her side. He's just being there for Kourtney."
The reality TV star recently admitted she kept her third pregnancy a secret from Scott initially, as she was worried about how he would react.

Kelly Brook has reportedly sent foul-mouthed text messages to her fiance's ex.
The 34-year-old model - who announced her split from former 'Gladiator' David McIntosh earlier this week - has sent "vile" messages to his ex-girlfriend Sarah Harper amidst allegations that he was texting the glamour model.
Sarah told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "This has gone on for months and I have never said a word. David originally cheated on me with Kelly and I've kept my mouth shut.
"But some of the things she has said to me are just disgusting. I have never heard these words come out of a woman's mouth, let alone that of a so-called English lady."
She added: "David begs and begs to see me. At the same time I get the most vile abuse from Kelly.
"Their relationship was an absolute mess and I want nothing to do with either of them.
"She paints herself as an English Rose - but she is actually a venomous thorn."
Kelly - who had been engaged to David for six months - sent a number of "vile" messages to Sarah.
One sent on September 16th reportedly read: "Just go the f**k away you annoying desperate woman. Leave us alone. (sic)"
She is also believed to have sent Sarah a text that read: "Your like a bad lingering smell. Just a stench. That needs to go. So hopefully. It's gone now. It's gone on long enough. Draw a line. (sic)"
Another read: "I don't care if I look mental. But I have your address. And if you ever try it with him. I will come to you. Ok. (sic)"

Rihanna is reportedly making a cameo in the new Bond film.
The 'We Found Love' hitmaker is believed to have been approached by the film's producers and is "really excited" to appear on the big screen.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Rihanna is a big fan of the Bond films and has always loved the idea of appearing in one.
"She didn't even need to think about it, she knows she wants to do it. She's really excited."
The pop star will certainly have got Daniel Craig's seal of approval after he previously said Rihanna would be his dream Bond girl.
The 46-year-old actor - who has played James Bond since 2006's 'Casino Royale' - admitted he chose the beauty over Beyonce, because Rihanna is "dirtier".
His comment prompted the 26-year-old to say: "This makes me happy".
Rihanna is not a new face to acting, after starring in 2012 sci-fi film 'Battleship'. She is also due to lend her vocal talents to an animation by Dreamworks titled 'Home'.
Filming for the new Bond film, which is codenamed 'Bond 24', is expected to start later this year with director Sam Mendes at the helm.
The film is due for release in November 2015.

Niall Horan has reportedly been told to "dump" pal Chris Brown.
The 21-year-old singer partied with the 'Yeah 3X' hitmaker in Las Vegas and is believed to have been advised by his One Direction bandmates - Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson - to ditch the 25-year-old singer.
A band insider told the Star on Sunday newspaper: "The rest of the lads - especially Harry and Louis - are really unhappy about Niall's new friendship with Chris.
"Niall has been advised to dump Chris ASAP - but Chris is still texting him every day. It's causing real friction behind the scenes."
Chris was sentenced to five years of probation for assaulting his former girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009 and recently served a stint in jail for breaking the terms of his parole.
The insider added: "Niall and Chris are getting on really well and he thinks the other lads need to just let him do his thing.
"But the other lads don't see it that way at all. This is the guy who beat up Rihanna. He's not exactly got the kind of image One Direction want to be associated with."
But Niall may be forced to end his friendship with Chris after the band's boss, Simon Cowell, "freaked out" over the pictures.
The insider said: "Simon was freaked out by the photos of their escapades. They have to be careful what image they put out to their American female fans."

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin went for a white theme at their wedding.
The 53-year-old actor and his human rights lawyer bride, 36, said 'I do' at the luxury Aman Canal Grande resort in Venice last night (28.09.14) in front of around 100 guests.
E! News reports that the couple tied the knot on a podium that was placed in front of a large wall of white candles.
The venue had been decorated with white roses, lilies and carnations and there was a multitude of hand-crafted candles.
Guests reportedly sipped on numerous bottles of champagne and red wine and the party continued past midnight, with the couple and their guests celebrating to a background of disco and jazz music.
The guests were greeted at the venue by staff, who were wearing traditional venetian gondolier outfits, including straw boater hats and white shirts.
As the celebrities arrived, there were loud cheers from the crowds of fans waiting outside, especially for U2 frontman, Bono.
George and Amal were joined by host of celebrities including Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, Emily Blunt, Bill Murray, and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
The marriage between the happy couple was confirmed in a statement.
A representative for the actor wrote: "George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were married today in a private ceremony in Venice, Italy."

Donnie Wahlberg sends Jenny McCarthy flowers several times a week.
The former 'View' co-host and the New Kids on the Block singer, who tied the knot in August, have enjoyed every moment of married life so far and the blonde beauty feels lucky he is so romantic.
She said: "Two to three times a week, Donnie sends me a bouquet of flowers and it literally says, 'Just because I love you.' I am like, 'I can't believe you! Please don't ever stop that, please please.' "
The 41-year-old star - who has 12-year-old son Evan from her previous marriage - also claims their sex life is even more passionate these days.
She told Life & Style magazine: "Everything is better - from lovemaking to shopping to talking to cuddling. I feel so lucky."
Jenny recently admitted she has already lost her wedding ring while she and Donnie were staying in a hotel.

I removed it and put it on the room service table and they came and turned down the room and the ring was gone... But you know what though? Christina Aguilera wants her ex-husband to help her revive her music career.
The 'Your Body' hitmaker - who gave birth to daughter Summer Rain, her first child with fiancé Matthew Rutler, last month - has reportedly reached out to music executive Jordan Bratman, with whom she has son Max, six, for advice for her next album.
A source said: "Jordan is the only one she can trust to get a hit song on the radio. She's been calling him non-stop and even offered to pay for advice."
But the insider said her 37-year-old ex-husband isn't interested in having a professional relationship with the 33-year-old blonde beauty.
The source added to America's Star magazine: "Jordan has declined her attempts to set up business meetings.
"Co-parenting is as far as he will go."
Christina and Jordan split in 2010 after five years of marriage shortly after she returned from filming the movie, 'Burlesque,' on which Matthew was a production assistant.
After confirming their split, she explained: "When I finished filming, I didn't feel right in my own shoes [at home]. I had a lot of things stirring inside of me that I felt were being suppressed. We tried to work on the marriage and figure out a common ground. But the problems were obvious."

Courtney Love believes acting helps her stay in control of her life.
The 50-year-old rocker admits she her life is a lot calmer these days and has no plans to get back into the recording studio at present as she is enjoying the routine of playing a kindergarten teacher on the final season of 'Sons of Anarchy.'
She said: "I'll never outgrow it [music], but acting offers a better lifestyle at my age.
"I have to show up early, act responsible and can't be a brat."
Courtney is also currently working on her upcoming autobiography, but admits she has to make a lot of edits, as some of the contents are too shocking to publish.
Asked about the memoir, she told Us Weekly magazine: "Fixing it now to make it less salacious. It was too rock n' roll."
The rocker recently revealed she has lost "about $27 million" of "Nirvana money" during her career and life.
The wild rock chick - the widow of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994 - accepts it is a "lifetime of money" but she has no regrets about spending the cash.
She said: "I lost about $27 million - I know that's a lifetime of money to most people, but I'm a big girl, it's rock 'n' roll, it's Nirvana money, I had to let it go."
