The 41-year-old actor, whose wife Fergie gave birth to their first child, Axl, 13 months ago, says their tot is "defiant" and loves putting his fingers in holes.
The 'You're Not You' star told 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show': "They get to a certain age and they start to test you a little bit.
"He likes sticking his fingers in holes. So he'll stick his finger up my nose. I'll be like 'no you don't do that.' Then he'll stick it up his nose. And he thinks it's funny."
Josh enjoys being a very hands-on father, but admits Fergie changes most of Axl's diapers.
He said: "In the beginning it was me, but she has improved her diaper changing skills in the last year. It's very impressive. She's as good at it as I am now. I had two younger sisters, so I had a lot of practice growing up. She had never held a baby before we had our little guy. Now, she's a professional."
The 'Safe Haven' star previously confirmed he and Black Eyes Peas star Fergie, 39, hope to have another baby in the near future.
He said: "Yeah, I think we definitely want [more kids]. Especially after as well as this one has gone -- the pregnancy, and now that we have this beautiful little boy, we both definitely want to have another one."
But he added: "There's no rush. Whenever it happens, it happens."

Robert Downey Jr. admits he was heartbroken after his split from Sarah Jessica Parker.
The 'Iron Man 3' star, whose wife Susan Downey is currently expecting their second child, dated the 'Sex and the City' star for seven years after they met on the set of 'Firstborn' in 1984, but she dumped him in 1991 due to his severe drug addiction.
Asked if the blonde beauty broke his heart, the 'Judge' star told Howard Stern on his Sirius XM radio show: "I've never been the kind of person to acknowledge what's going on with me at the time, and I'd try to make light of it, but sure, when you're with someone for seven years, 18 to our mid-20s, it's kind of a big deal."
But the 49-year-old star insists there is no bad blood between him and Sarah, 49.
He said: "No, no. In fact, I'll make a point of trying to see her while I'm here [in New York City]. I'd like to."
But Robert, who credits Susan and his late mother for helping him to get sober, plans to check with Sarah's husband, Matthew Broderick, before reaching out to her.
He said: "I'll ask his permission. I just want to check in for a few minutes. I love Matthew Broderick.
"First of all, I respect both of them so much, and now we have to get past this conversation. For any situation like this, I think enough time has to pass. You don't have to make a big deal of it when the time is right."
He added: "I'd love to have him there. Maybe, I'll bring Susan."
Sarah previously admitted she feared Robert would die after they broke up.
She said: "The simple answer to why I stayed with him is that I loved him. I felt that if I left, he might die. I believed I was the person holding him together.
"You're not even in a romantic relationship any more. It's like a parent-child thing."

Kristen Stewart says the 'Twilight Saga' made her who she is.
The 24-year-old actress, who dated her former co-star Robert Pattinson for four years until mid-2013, admits the franchise has had a profound affect on her personal life and career even though the final movie was released in late 2012.
The brunette beauty said: "On an exceptionally obvious note, it's opened a lot of doors, but I've become who I am because of that. It was five years of my life."
She added: "I was able to work for years and years on something that took so much out of all of us and did not leave us empty, replaced every bit that it took. That's why I love to do my job, it was just a very elongated version of that.
"It was something that was really personal for a couple of years. It's a part of whom I am."
The 'Camp X-Ray' star plays a prison guard and soldier in the new movie and is now attracted to parts that ask "bigger questions."
She explained to E! News: "My initial motive to want to be a part of this is just that there was a really simple, intimate, interior story going on in a place that asks bigger questions. So I think the movie, while remaining entirely objective, is a reminder - it doesn't answer any questions but it asks them."
She added: "I don't think we're shedding any light on something that people didn't know about before, but I just think it's a little hypothetical shred of what might happened there once and maybe again soon."

Jennifer Lopez is still "great friends" with Casper Smart.
The 'Booty' hitmaker, who split from the choreographer earlier this year after two-and-a-half years together, was spotted having dinner with him at La Conversation in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Monday night (06.10.14).
But a source close to the 45-year-old beauty told E! News their reunion was strictly platonic and they arrived at the eatery separately.
The insider added: "They remain great friends."
The 'On The Floor' hitmaker, who has six-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, announced her split from Casper, 27, in June.
She has since been linked to former 'Dancing with the Stars' performer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 34, but recently insisted she is still single.
Asked if she is ready to be in a relationship again, she said: "I'm just being on my own. I feel like I need that right now.
"I've been in relationships kind of back to back my whole life and I just needed time."
She added: "I need time to just chill and just know me and enjoy my kids and actually make time for other friends instead of just the relationship thing."

Kendra Wilkinson's husband wants to renew their wedding vows.
Hank Baskett, who was accused of cheating on the reality TV star with a transexual model earlier this year, is reportedly eager to demonstrate his commitment to the blonde beauty so they can move forward with their relationship.
A source close to the retired NFL star told HollywoodLife.com: "Hank will do whatever he can to save his marriage to Kendra and one way of showing his commitment is by renewing his wedding vows."
The gym owner, 32, is planning to hold the celebration in December, as he wants them to have a fresh start for 2015.
The insider said: "He wants to have a ceremony and the whole thing. He wants to renew his marriage vows with Kendra and start fresh.
"Ideally it would be a holiday wedding or a New Year's Eve ceremony... a way to start 2015 with a fresh beginning."
The couple, who have son Hank IV, four, and daughter Alijah, four-months, are still living apart, but the 'Kendra On Top' star, 29, recently admitted they are on speaking terms.
She said: "I wouldn't say we're back together. We're still married, course we're not divorced.
"But, we're at a place where we can talk right now, not about everything, but we're talking and we're parenting."

The reality TV star sparked speculation she was referring to her younger sister when she complained about people posting too many inspirational quotes on the social networking site yesterday (06.10.14), but says she "would never throw shade" at her family online.
The 33-year-old beauty tweeted: "I'm not throwing shade at my sister's quotes. She doesn't over do it. Just speaking in general of people who post too many quotes"
She added: "I would never throw shade to my sissy on Twitter"
Khloé, 30, regularly shares her favourite quotes with her followers on Twitter and Instagram, especially when she is going through difficult times, such as her split from Lamar Odom.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star recently posted a picture of the words: "Remain humble, but still let these b***hes know."
Kim opted to defend herself after she originally wrote: "People who post lots of quotes have major issues lol. I can't take all the quotes in my feed. Twitter is ok but IG is for pics! (sic)"
Khloé previously blasted Kim for sharing too many pictures of herself on Instagram.

Miley Cyrus' homeless friend has been jailed for six months.
Jesse Helt, who accepted the singer's Video of the Year award at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in August, was led away in handcuffs by police officers following a court hearing in Oregon today (07.10.14) for violating the terms of his probation.
The 22-year-old aspiring model - who turned himself over to police shortly after the star-studded ceremony when it emerged there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest dating back to November 2011 - reportedly pleaded with Judge Monte Campbell for leniency and said he would "like to be viewed as a good person, not as a nuisance to society."
Jesse was arrested in 2010 for "criminal mischief," among other misdemeanour charges in his native Dallas, Oregon and was placed on probation after accepting he was at fault.
But he violated his probation in 2011 by failing to meet his probation officer or complete his community service, and also violated it by travelling to California for the VMAs with Miley, where he gave an emotional speech about homeless youth in America.
Following his arrest in August, the 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker, 21, insisted she was standing by Jesse.
She wrote on Twitter: "People who are homeless have lived very hard lives. Jesse included.
"I hope that this can be the start of a national conversation about youth homelessness and how to end it."
The duo became friends after meeting at a homeless shelter in Los Angeles.

Jennifer Lawrence says she felt sexually violated after her nude photographs were leaked online.
The 24-year-old actress, who is dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, admits she was very upset and angry after hackers stole dozens of private images from her iCloud account and posted them on websites in late August.
The Oscar winner told Vanity Fair magazine: "It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change."
The 'Hunger Games' star also hit back at critics for suggesting she shouldn't have taken or stored the intimate images in the first place, insisting they were only meant to be seen by her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult, whom she split from earlier this year.
She said: "I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years. It was long distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he's going to look at you."
The blonde beauty initially planned to apologise for the photographs because she was worried about her career.
But she said: "Every single thing that I tried to write made me cry or get angry. I started to write an apology, but I don't have anything to say I'm sorry for. Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody's mind is to make a profit from it. It's so beyond me."
She added: "Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this.
"It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It's my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can't believe that we even live in that kind of world."
