Charlize Theron ‘enticed’ by darkness

Charlize Theron has become more enticed by "darkness" since becoming a mother.
The 39-year-old actress - who adopted her two-year-old son Jackson as a baby - admits that while motherhood causes many women to adopt a more optimistic view of the world, she has become more "aware" than ever before.
The South African explained: "People assume that once you have a child you will naturally veer away from the darkness, [but] I have found the opposite.
"Being a mother is the only thing I have experienced where the reality has surpassed my expectations of how great it would be, but the last thing I want to do now is to close my eyes to everything.
"My quest has always been to understand humanity in all its glory - its beauty and darkness - and I've become more enticed by that side of things since becoming a mother: I am very aware."
The 'Monster' actress - who is in a relationship with Sean Penn - also admitted the intense nature of many of her movies means he will not be able to enjoy her work until later in life.
She joked to You magazine: "Other than my J'adore campaign, my son won't be able to see any of my work until he's about 53! I've made my peace with that."

Steve Carell doesn’t want actor kids

Steve Carell doesn't want his children to act until they're older.
The 52-year-old actor has daughter Elizabeth, 13, and son John, 10, with wife Nancy, and though he would support them if they chose to follow in their parents' footsteps when they are older, for now he would rather they didn't "have jobs" and kept their interests at amateur level.
Asked if he would allow his kids to be actors, he said: "I would not as children, I don't want them to have jobs at this age, it's not for them, it's not in their DNA right now.
"I wouldn't discourage them from acting and I'd love them to do school plays and pursue it if they want it to. Vaguely interested, my daughter just got a part in the school play and is excited but in terms of a professional career, that's for later on. 18, if they want to be actors."
Steve and Jennifer Garner star with a number of children, including Ed Oxenbould, Dylan Minnette and Kerris Dorsey in their new movie 'Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day' and the 'Office' actor was relieved they weren't "weird robot actor kids" and were a joy to be around.
He told BBC Radio 2's Graham Norton: "The kids were great and not weird robot actor kids, they were very good, honest, natural, they were nice. Good people."

David Arquette and Christina McLarty ‘fine’ after row

David Arquette and Christina McLarty are "fine" following their row in Los Angeles on Friday (17.10.14).
The couple sparked rumours they had ended their engagement when their public argument was caught on camera at the weekend, but a representative for the pair insist they're still very much together.
The spokesperson told the Mirror Online: "Everything is fine ...they [David and Christina] are not split."
The duo, who have six-month-old son Charlie together, were spotted feuding following a romantic dinner at Craig's restaurant on Melrose Avenue.
In the footage, obtained by the MailOnline, David, 43, told his beau: "That's it, I can't take it any more. I'm done, I'm sorry. Just like the last guy. I'm just like him."
The 33-year-old stunner, who seemed to be in tears, later replied with: "Stop David ... Come here, please!"
The couple have been dating on and off since 2011 and two years later they announced they were expecting their son Charlie, before getting engaged three months after his birth in July this year.
Meanwhile, Christina was previously married to Joe Francis, but their relationship came to an abrupt end in 2010 when she moved to New York for her career.
David was married to 'Friends' actress Courteney Cox, with whom he has 10-year-old daughter Coco, for 11 years but the couple split up in 2010 and divorced two years later in June 2012.
However, David insists the split was amicable and they have remained friends for the sake of their daughter.

Matthew McConaughey is ‘vain’

Matthew McConaughey has admitted he's "vain."
The 'Dallas Buyers Club' hunk, 44, believes having a high opinion of his charming good looks, self worth and remarkable talent is a positive thing.
Speaking in the November issue of GQ magazine, he explained: "I am vain. I think vanity is a good thing. It's done more good things for me than it has not."
Meanwhile, the actor recently praised his wife Camila Alves and their children Levi, six, Vida, four, and Livingston, two, for supporting his career.
He said previously: "I try to give a lot to my life and the people in it, and I know they sure give back. I have a lot to be thankful for. My life outside my career is extremely enriching. So I am letting that feed my work, and letting my work feed my life."
Richard Linklater - who gave Matthew his breakout role in the 1993 film 'Dazed and Confused' - agrees that Camila's support has been a big factor in her husband's transitioning career in recent years.
He said: "[In Hollywood] you'll have people around you who want other things [for you], but she will approach it as, 'What does Matthew want?' That's the direction she pushes him."
Matthew and Camila have enjoyed a two-year marriage since tying the knot in 2012 after six years together.

The 'I Luh Ya Papi' hitmaker, 45, turned up at the the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas to support the 29-year-old singer during his concert on Saturday night (18.10.14).
However, the wild antics didn't stop there as the brunette beauty - who has six-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony - and her manager, Benny Medina, went back to Bruno's intimate after-party, held at the Marquee nightclub, and danced the early hours of the morning away with other stars.
A source told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "They were having a really great time dancing, while Bruno sang along to his tunes 'Locked Out of Heaven' and 'Bubble Butt' from the DJ booth."
Meanwhile, Jennifer, who split from backing dancer Casper Smart earlier this year following two-and-a-half years of dating, is determined to stay single for a while.
She said recently: "My friends are constantly trying to set me up but I'm just not there right now. It's not something that's a priority.
"I have gone from relationship to relationship but, at the end of the day, I am not ashamed of the path I have taken or the lessons I have learned.
"Right now it feels good to just be on my own and have some 'I love Jennifer' time, which I haven't done a lot in my life."

Chris O’Dowd’s baby to be born in US

Chris O'Dowd's baby will be born in the US.
The 35-year-old actor, who comes from Ireland, and his wife Dawn O'Porter are currently residing in Los Angeles for work commitments and are planning to welcome their first child into the world in California too.
Speaking to the Irish Evening Herald newspaper, Dawn, 35, said: "We're having our baby in America definitely, but I don't know where we're going to be living in five years. It's nice that we travel all the time and we love living in LA. That's totally home. But London or Ireland is also another opportunity."
The couple announced their baby news in August during a video clip of Chris' ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
Upon completing the challenge, which involves pouring a bucket of icy cold water over his head to raise awareness and funds for Lou Gehrig's disease, the hunk said: "I'd like to nominate Richard Ayoade, Graham Linehan and Baby O'Porter. So brave."
He then panned the camera over to TV presenter Dawn, who shrieked as she poured a small glass of ice cubes and water over her obvious baby bump.
The pair, who met through mutual friends at the brunette beauty's 30th birthday party in Los Angeles, tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in June 2012.

James Franco attacks paparazzo?

James Franco allegedly attacked a paparazzo at Lana Del Rey's concert in Los Angeles on Friday (17.10.14).
The 36-year-old actor reportedly tackled the camera man to the floor at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery following the 'Born to Die' hitmaker's performance.
The 'Spring Breakers' star was caught on camera running away from the snapper, who was left lying the grass, with a massive smile on his face.
A source told E! News: "Franco ran head first into the photographer and tackled him football style."
It is not known what the altercation was about but the paparazzo is allegedly looking for compensation as he filed a report with the Los Angeles Police Department office on Saturday morning (18.10.14).
The unidentified photographer has claimed his camera equipment was damaged in the scuffle and he is now suffering from a minor back injury, according to TMZ.
Meanwhile, James and Lana, 29, have sparked rumours they're dating after they were spotted attending a screening of his movie 'Child of God' in New York City in August, and then she joined him for an intimate after-party at the Tribeca Grand Hotel.
A source said at the time that James, who was previously linked to Ahna O'Reilly and Erin Johnson, thinks the singer is "fascinating" and their friendship is on the cusp of turning romantic.
The insider added: "They've been hanging out and talking a lot."

Daniel Radcliffe’s sex scene worries

Daniel Radcliffe would find it "horrible" if he had to do a sex scene with someone he didn't like.
The 25-year-old actor stars as Ignatius Perrish, who is accused of the rape and murder of his girlfriend Merrin Williams (Juno Temple), in the forthcoming thriller 'Horns', but he admits he would struggle to get up-close and personal with anyone in front of the camera if they weren't able to get along and have a "laugh."
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the film's premiere at the Odeon in Leicester Square in London tonight (20.10.14), Daniel said: "Sex scenes aren't really awkward. I think that people think that actors get more freaked out about sex scenes or nude scenes than we actually do. It doesn't take any skill to drop your trousers. It depends who you're doing the scene with.
"Me and Juno had a laugh - I suppose like in real life! I can't imagine doing that scene with someone you didn't like. That would be horrible."
However, Juno, 25, had slightly different views on filming naked scenes as she tends to find the intimate takes in movies "incredibly unsexy."
She explained: "It was funny filming the sex scenes. It was great. I mean, sex scenes are also the most awkward thing to do on the planet because they are incredibly unsexy. But we had a laugh."
'Horns' is set for release in the UK on October 31.
