Katherine Heigl doesn’t think she’s ‘rude’

Katherine Heigl doesn't think she is "rude".
The '27 Dresses' star - who has worked with big Hollywood names including Gerard Butler and Ashton Kutcher in the past - hit back at allegations that she is "difficult" to work with.
When asked about the rumours in a Q & A on her Facebook page, she wrote: "Yeah, I've heard those too ... honestly I don't think I am ... nothing makes me more uncomfortable than confrontation or hurting someone's feelings and I would never, ever, actively do so on purpose.
"Of course just like any human being, I've made mistakes and unwittingly or carelessly spoken or acted but I always try to make any wrong right."
She added: "That doesn't mean I won't stand up for myself by drawing boundaries and asking to be treated kindly and respectfully but I don't do that with any rude or unkind intentions, just with the same strength and honesty I think every one of us is entitled to."
Recently, 'Grey's Anatomy' creator, Shonda Rhimes, openly blasted Katherine, saying that she had inspired her to develop a "no a**holes" policy on set.
The pair worked together on the medical drama for five years until 2010 but their relationship soured after Katherine, who played Dr. Izzie Stevens on the show, withdrew her name from an Emmy Award category in 2008, citing that she hadn't been given enough material in the series to "warrant" a nomination.

Daniel Radcliffe bans glasses

Daniel Radcliffe has banned himself from ever wearing glasses.
The 25-year-old actor - who starred as the boy wizard in the 'Harry Potter' film series - has revealed he will insist on having contact lenses if his sight ever gets impaired because he doesn't want to be compared to the character he played for 10 years.
He told MTV: "It's gonna be contacts or like triangular glasses or something just to really put some distance."
Meanwhile, the 'Horns' star recently revealed that he is desperate for fans to stop comparing his recent work to his role in the fantasy series.
He explained: "There is no one film that fully separates me, in the eyes of everyone else, from Harry Potter - that isn't going to happen.
"It's about building up as diverse and interesting a body of work as I can."
He added: "I'm looking forward to the day where I can release a film and it not be talked about in [relation to 'Harry Potter']."
Daniel also admitted that he wants to show his future children the 'Harry Potter' films but will wait until they are old enough.
When asked if he thinks the movies will "stand the test of time", he said: "Well will they or won't they remake them before my kids are grown up? Will my kids be saying, 'My Dad was the original Harry Potter?'
"That's all a possibility! I have thought at what age would I let my kids see those films because it is such a weird thing - I think I'm going to try and not for a long time."

Lena Dunham denies sexual assault claims

Lena Dunham has reacted angrily to claims that she sexually assaulted her younger sister.
In an article published by right-wing blog Truth Revolt on Thursday (30.10.14) entitled "Lena Dunham Describes Sexually Abusing Her Little Sister", the writer cites a passage from the 28-year-old author's new book 'Not That Kind Of Girl' claiming that it describes the star conducting an inappropriate act at the age of seven, on her one-year-old sister, Grace Dunham.
The excerpt reads: "Grace was sitting up, babbling and smiling, and I leaned down between her legs and carefully spread open her vagina. She didn't resist and when I saw what was inside I shrieked.
"It quickly became apparent that Grace had stuffed six or seven pebbles in there."
However, the 'Girls' creator has furiously denied the accusations, branding them "disgusting".
Taking to her twitter account on Saturday (01.11.14) evening, she wrote: "The right wing news story that I molested my little sister isn't just LOL- it's really f**king upsetting and disgusting.
"And by the way, if you were a little kid and never looked at another little kid's vagina, well, congrats to you.
"Usually this is stuff I can ignore but don't demean sufferers, don't twist my words, back the f**k up bros.
"I told a story about being a weird 7 year old. I bet you have some too, old men, that I'd rather not hear. And yes, this is a rage spiral. (sic)"
She ended the series of messages by revealing that her sister, now aged 22, had found the whole situation to be hilarious.
She added: "Sometimes I get so mad I burn right up. Also I wish my sister wasn't laughing so hard. (sic)"

Jessica Lowndes: LA is full of phonies

Jessica Lowndes says Los Angeles is "filled with phonies."
The former '90210' actress, who previously dated former professional rugby player Thom Evans, admits she has struggled to stay true to herself in Hollywood in the past because she is surrounded by fake people in the City of Angels.
She said: "LA is an amazing place, but it's also filled with phonies - and the lifestyle can consume you if you don't stay true to yourself."
The brunette beauty stars alongside Bruce Willis and Jon Cusack in her new movie 'The Prince' and was anxious about meeting them for the first time because they are such big stars.
She added to US OK! magazine: "I was definitely nervous because these are legends I grew up watching, but they were so down-to-earth and sweet.
"'90210' was a great stepping-stone, my character experienced everything from drug addiction to pregnancy. So I think it prepared me for something as dramatic as 'The Prince' but [in the movie] there's a lot less screaming and crying."
Jessica also recently released her single, 'Silicone in Stereo', and would love to collaborate with Ellie Goulding or Sam Smith at some point.
She said: "I was actually pursuing it [a music career] way before I got into acting. My mom is a piano teacher, so I've been playing since I was five.
"I love Ellie Goulding and Sam Smith. I'm also a huge Drake fan. It would be sick to do a song with him, because he was also an actor who made the switch to music. Plus, he's a fellow Canadian!"

Katie Melua finds spider living in her ear

Katie Melua has found a spider living in her ear.
The 'Nine Million Bicycles' crooner has opened up about the terrifying situation, revealing that doctors told her that the arachnid had been there for a week.
Posting a picture of the spider on her Instagram account, she wrote: "So I had a rustling in my ear for a week and went to the doctor to have it checked out this morning. THIS little fella is what they found!"
The singer-songwriter - who has released six albums, including her hit 2003 debut 'Call Off the Search' - hypothesised over how the eight-legged creepy-crawly got into her ear, blaming it on an old pair of ear-pieces.
She explained: "Basically I used these old in-ear monitors to block out sound on a flight, little spider must have been in them and crawled inside my ear and stayed there for the week.
"It was no hassle at all, apart from the occasional shuffling noises..."
Despite the strange experience, the 30-year-old insists that both her and her spidery friend are now safe and well.
She said: "Though the thing looked TERRIFYING up-close on the doctor's camera, once he took him out ( using a micro Hoover ) it was pretty small, and now its in this little test tube, alive and seemingly fine."
A spokeswoman for the star added that there was a happy ending for the arthropod, revealing that it is now living in 'The Closest Thing to Crazy' singer's garden.
She concluded: "Katie kept it in the test tube and released it in her garden when she got home.
"Apart from shuffling and random noises in her ear, the spider was no bother for the entire week it lived there."

Anne Hathaway believes aliens exist

Anne Hathaway believes aliens exist.
The 'The Devil Wears Prada' star has admitted that she believes there are other life forms in the universe, but is unsure of what they would look like.
She told The Mail on Sunday newspaper: "I've never had any problem with the idea that there is other life in the universe.
"Does that life look exactly like us? Probably not. In fact, I couldn't even imagine what these other life forms might look like, or what set of values they might hold or knowledge they might understand."
She continued: "I've always thought it's highly unlikely there's nothing out there. I certainly don't struggle to believe that they exist."
The 31-year-old actress features in new science fiction film 'Interstellar' as one of four astronauts, and revealed that while she dreamed of exploring the solar system as a youngster, the stars have become more and more intriguing for her as she has matured.
She admitted: "I did want very much to go into space when I was little, but I was very bad at both maths and science when I was at school so I could never even dream about making that journey.
"Then, when I was older, I started to watch a lot of nature documentaries, which later led to documentaries about science, about physics, about the universe."
She added: "Astronomy has been a mini-passion of mine for some time now."

Rita Ora’s boyfriend Ricky Hilfiger branded ‘sex-obsessed’ by ex

Ricky Hilfiger's ex has branded him "sex-obsessed".
The son of fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, has been dating 'I Will Never Let You Down' hitmaker Rita Ora since August - following her split from superstar DJ Calvin Harris - but now an ex of the stud has warned the singer about him.
Celia Kay, who claims to have had a relationship with the American rapper earlier this year told The Sun newspaper: "Ricky is an odd character - quite reclusive and loves smoking weed and drinking beer.
"He's also sex-obsessed."
The revelation comes just days after the 24 year old is alleged to have thrown punches at another guest at Mario Testino's 60th birthday bash on Wednesday (29.10.14).
Ricky's ex has also slammed the green-haired lothario for only dating the 23-year-old singer in a bid to get his hands on her cash.
She continued: "Ricky is a player and bad news for Rita or any girl.
"He joked that he wanted a rich girlfriend so he could fly around in her private jet and not have to worry about working."
Celia added that she is sure the couple's relationship will end in tears, so warned Rita not to get too attached.
She said: "He's bad news. If anything, Rita is welcome to him - although I would warn her to be careful.
"He's no angel and I think he's more than capable of breaking her heart."

Keira Knightley hates shopping

Keira Knightley doesn't like shopping.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star isn't keen on browsing through stores but can't resist splashing out in online designer retail outlets.
She told Britain's Glamour magazine: "The truth is that I've never liked shopping that much.
"I'll do a bit of online shopping at Matches and Net-A-Porter, which is like crack."
However, the brunette beauty steers clear of web marketplace eBay for fear of getting addicted to bargain hunting on the site.
She said: "I've never bought anything on eBay because I feel like that could just start eating into everything."
Although the 29-year-old actress isn't a fan of retail therapy, she enjoys the constant supply of freebies she receives from Chanel, a perk of being the face of the brand, and is particularly enjoying carrying around a miniature quilted shoulder bag that was gifted to her by the French fashion house.
She said: "I do get some very good Chanel freebies. This [bag] is my particular favourite right now. It's perfect. Actually it's not perfect because it's not big enough to fit a passport in."
The brunette beauty even joked she should call the company's creative director Karl Lagerfeld to request he increase the bag's size.
Keira said: "I will call Karl, and say, 'A centimetre bigger please'. There should be a phone line, 'Call Karl' or at the very least, an app."

Amy Poehler to write book about pals

Amy Poehler would love to write a book about her famous friends.
The 'Parks & Recreation' star, who has just released her memoir, 'Yes Please,' doesn't think it's fair that female comediennes, including her pals Tina Fey, Mindy Kaling and Rachel Dratch, are "lumped together" because she insists they're all "unique and special" so would love to write about them.
The 43-year-old star said: "My dream would be to write a book about my talented and famous friends and just spend a chapter on each.
"It would be a dream not only because it'd be so easy to write about how much I love their hearts and their work, but also I wouldn't have to write about myself.
"When you're a 'woman in comedy,' you're all kind of lumped together in this weird soup, whereas if you go back and read the books of any of these women, you're reminded of how different and unique and special and interesting and specifically skilled everybody is."
Amy admits she is proud to be a feminist and thinks people are "much more alike" than different.
She added to Entertainment Weekly: "I love when women use that word because it's a beautiful word.
"I also think everyone's trying to figure out their place in all of it. At the end of the day, I think we are all much more alike than we are different."
