Anne Hathaway is "always nervous" she is going to mess up.
The 'Interstellar' star has admitted that she worries about embarrassing herself on set and in interviews.
She told The Telegraph newspaper: "I'm always nervous I'm going to mess up.
"One of the most important parts of my journey is that I have embarrassed myself again and again and I have failed again and again and eventually that gives you strength of character, so I feel a little bit more comfortable now."
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old has also spoken up about married life and how she copes with spending time away from her husband for work.
Anne - who dated actor and jewellery designer Adam Shulman for four years, before tying the knot with him in September 2013 - said: "I'm very fortunate that my husband has a job that allows him to travel and kind of make his own schedule, so he travels with me whenever possible.
"Sometimes that's not possible and whenever that happens, we have a rule that we aren't apart for more than two weeks."
She added: "When we got married I thought it was a great party, but I honestly thought we were doing it more for tradition and I wasn't prepared for the radical shift that my heart was going to have."

Selena Gomez has reportedly been urged to lock her doors by police.
The reminder comes following an incident last week where the 'Come And Get It' hitmaker allegedly called the police after she thought there was an intruder in her house.
Law enforcement sources revealed to gossip site TMZ that she raised the alarm after she returned home to find a door unlocked.
The police arrived quickly but found nobody inside.
This is reportedly the third time Selena has contacted the police over fears that her house had been broken into and for it to be a false alarm.
The 22-year-old had gates put up around the house earlier this year after a stalker allegedly showed up at her $3 million property.
Meanwhile, despite the false intruder alarms, Selena loves living alone because she can walk around the house naked.
She recently said: "I can, you know, walk around naked and stuff.
"I think that the best thing is being able to go into my own space and have it just be mine."
However, Selena's celebrity pal, Taylor Swift, has been asking her to leave Los Angeles and move closer to the 'Shake It Off' hitmaker, who lives in New York City.
Selena explained: "[Taylor's] been begging me every time we get on the phone to move to New York, because it's been a really good thing for her.
"You know, we've been friends for seven years, and she really feels like she kind of stepped into her own and became a woman there, and she's like, 'All right, your turn!'
"I feel like I might [move to New York], eventually, but not right now."

Halle Berry's split from her ex-partner continues to be bitter.
The 'Extant' star broke up with Gabriel Aubry - with whom she shares joint custody of six-year-old Nahla - in 2010 after four years together and documents obtained by gossip site TMZ show that their feud is continuing.
A document submitted to the court by Halle and her lawyer allegedly reads: "There is no case, no law, no logic that says a healthy, active man gets to simply live off child support that the wealthier mother earns."
Meanwhile, Halle has reportedly requested the child support she pays to Gabriel to be reduced from $16,000 a month to approximately $3,800.
However, her ex-partner is fighting the request because an altercation between Halle's current husband, Olivier Martinez and himself in 2012 is believed to have left the model with little work because of his alleged injuries.
The documents also reveal that Halle believes Gabriel is using most of his monthly income from her on his own needs.
She alleges that he spends over $700 on fitness, just short of $1000 on clothing and nearly $2,000 on car expenses amongst others.

Shailene Woodley has denied rumours that she is dating Ansel Elgort.
The 22-year-old actress - who starred opposite 20-year-old Ansel in 'The Fault In Our Stars' - has insisted that the pair have no intentions to start dating and their friendship is entirely platonic.
Speaking at a conference for Deadline's 'The Contenders' last night (01.11.14), she said: "We went from brother and sister to lovers and now we're back in the brother-sister game."
The pair - who played loved-up teenagers Hazel and Augustus in the romantic drama - won an award for the 'Best On-Screen Couple' at the Young Hollywood Awards earlier this year.
Shailene credits their chemistry to their long-time work relationship.
She recently said: "It definitely made things easier. I mean, we already knew each other; we were already comfortable around each other.
"And we already loved each other and had a deep sense of admiration for the other. Which I think translated into our performances."
Ansel added: "We are pretty tight. I like working with her a lot. She's really good. She's a really, really good actress. She's a really nice girl - really genuine."

Harry Styles is too "embarrassed" to wear a disguise.
Whilst the 20-year-old singer - who is part of chart-topping boy band One Direction - agrees that he is regularly noticed whilst out and about, he revealed that he wouldn't like to hide under a wig to avoid being recognised.
He told Yahoo!: "I think the thing is about a disguise is that if you were to do that - which is embarrassing anyway - the amount of embarrassment you would feel after being discovered in disguise would be too much."
Bandmate Louis Tomlinson added: "It would just be uncomfortable if you got caught out, wouldn't it. 'Oh yeah, I have dressed up as someone else!'"
Meanwhile, the 'Steal My Girl' hitmakers have spoken out about the nude photographs that are currently plaguing the celebrity sphere, revealing that it could "never" happen to them because they don't upload their pictures to cloud systems.
Harry said: "There's no naughty pics on our phones, no."
Fellow band member, Niall Horan, added: 'Never, never!'
Louis also admitted that he was thankful he hadn't decided to sync his photos to his iCloud account.
He said: "I was thinking about the whole iCloud thing, I had iCloud set up, only for my calendars, so the only thing that could leak was my calendars, so I was safe on that front. Luckily, I didn't click photos."
Zayn Malik also revealed that there was no chance of any nude photos of him leaking because he had replaced his lost smartphone with an old Nokia device that didn't have the capabilities.

Chris Brown wants more discussions about drugs to take place.
The 'Forever' hitmaker revealed that he, himself, took medicine for anxiety, Xanax, and has issued a warning to young people about prescription drugs.
The singer thinks it should be a more widely discussed topic because he believes young people are turning to controlled substances more and more now.
He told Hot 97's radio show: "I was turnin' up. I was off the syrup, the Xanax, turning up. That's the hood cocktail right there.
"I'm not ashamed about talking about it because a lot of our youth is doing that now, thinking it's the cool thing to do. And I don't knock anybody's hustle or however they gotta do they thing, but, I just feel, for me, it wasn't conducive to me."
Chris also admitted that being intoxicated had begun to impact his work.
He explained: "I was falling asleep on video sets. I was cussing people out randomly. I was doing crazy stuff. I would wake up, ask my homies, 'Hey, man, so what time we gotta shoot this video?' And they'd be like, 'Dude, we shot it yesterday.'
"Not to say it's the best, but marijuana never messed me up, it always kind of relaxed me, I'm a hyper guy - but when I started doing the lean and all the other stuff, I'd be in the studio, and if I smoke, I go in there and write five, six songs, be done, boom. But if I go in there and do the lean, I'd be sitting in the booth asleep. And the music would just be playing."

The 'Dawson's Creek' star - who has eight-year-old, Suri, with ex-husband Tom Cruise - has revealed that she is excited to be a grandmother and wants to have the relationship with her daughter's children that she shared with her own grandma.
She told PEOPLE magazine: "The Holmes family is enormous. Because my dad was the youngest of five, and I'm the youngest of five, I was the youngest of all the grandchildren.
"[My grandma] used to give me her clip-on earrings, and I thought she was so glamorous. And she used to say to me, 'Katie, you have such pretty eyes ... they're just like mine.'"

Vin Diesel has paid tribute to the late Paul Walker, calling him a "special angel".
Alongside his co-stars of 'Fast and Furious 7', the 47-year-old actor thanked the film's fans for their touching words about his "brother", who died aged just 40 in a car crash in Los Angeles last year.
Speaking at the premiere of the film's trailer, Paul's co-star, Tyrese Gibson said: "Even when that moment happened, of us losing our family and Paul, we all have significant others ... or not, we all have our own immediate circle of family and friends and loved ones, but they didn't know Paul the way we knew Paul.
"So if it wasn't for us meeting up, talking, having those conversations...I mean, me and Michelle [Rodriguez] were hanging for like four or five days straight until I [saw] her smile again."
The 35-year-old singer and actor credited the film's "family" unit for helping them all get through the tragedy of losing a close friend.
He added: "I was at Vin's house, I did everything I could possibly do, you know, Jordana [Brewster] was out of town a lot [filming 'Dallas'] ... we did whatever we had to do as a family to, like, rebuild each other and have the conversation that only we could have, to help us to get through that very rough patch."
