Amanda Bynes wants to be a bartender.
The troubled actress, who was recently released from a psychiatric hospital for the second time, has reportedly told friends she thinks working in a bar will help her feel like she has "a normal life."
A source said the 28-year-old actress is aware that it will difficult for her to serve drinks because of the amount of attention she attracts, but claims she really needs the money as she is unable to access her $5.7 million fortune because of her conservatorship.
The 'Easy A' star, whose mother Lynn Bynes has legal control to make decisions about her welfare and finances, is currently surviving on gift cards of between $50 and $100 a day, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
Amanda was caught sleeping on a sofa in a Beverly Hills shopping mall in California earlier this week and claimed on Twitter she couldn't afford a hotel because her parents wouldn't give her enough money.
Amanda's conservatorship attorney David Esquibias recently revealed her financial affairs are to be put in the charge of an unnamed private trust firm, in order to make them more accessible to the actress, amid rumours her mother wants to step down as her conservator so they can rebuild their relationship.

Chad Kroeger is very amused by rumours his marriage to Avril Lavigne is on the rocks.
The Nickelback frontman, who skipped the 'Hello Kitty' hitmaker's 30th birthday bash in September, insists they are still together, but admits even their families were worried about the status of their relationship.
The 39-year-old rocker said: "You know my dad calls me up and he's just like, 'I haven't slept in two days, what's going on?' I'm like, 'Dad you're not buying all this c**p are you?' You know, I get to hear all the rumour mill stuff. So it's, it's...I find it very amusing."
Chad, who married Avril in July 2013, also laughed off photographs of him not wearing his wedding ring in Los Angeles recently.
He said: "You know what? They come off. And they go back on and then come off and then go back on. What does that mean?"
He also told 'ET Canada' that being famous feels like being in high school.
He said: "All that stuff that people say behind each other's backs is minuscule, pales in comparison to the world of, you know, celebrity or being married to a celebrity. That's high school multiplied exponentially. It's ridiculous."
Chad's comments come just days after a source claimed "things still aren't good" between him and Avril, but they are being encouraged by friends to try to work things out.
The insider close to the Canadian beauty, who was previously married to Deryck Whibley, added: "Also, she and Chad haven't been married that long so her friends want her to make sure she's given it every chance before pulling the plug."

Cara Delevingne is dating Jack O'Connell.
The 22-year-old model, who split from 'Fast & Furious 7' actress Michelle Rodriguez in May after four months of dating, has reportedly been quietly hooking up with the 24-year-old actor for approximately a month.
A source said their romance isn't serious, but told E! News: "They're having fun."
The British beauty fuelled previous rumours she was romancing the 'Unbroken' star when she posted a photograph showcasing some "love bites" on his neck on Instagram recently.
Her ex-girlfriend is unlikely to be too happy that she has moved on, as a source recently claimed Michelle, 36, is eager to rekindle their relationship after seeing Cara at the LACMA Art and Film Gala in Los Angeles last Saturday (01.11.14).
The insider said: "Michelle was telling her friends that seeing Cara made her miss her and she desperately wants to sort things out.
"She has such great memories of their time together and would love to sit down with Cara and talk through everything.
"Michelle thought their relationship was great and wants to work things out."

Lindsay Lohan has "picked up the pace" of her community service in London.
The 28-year-old actress, who is currently starring in 'Speed-the-Plow' in the West End, has also been assisting an agency that works with neglected children and disabled people during her time in the city.
Superior Court Judge James R. Dabney praised the 'Mean Girls' star at a hearing in Los Angeles on Thursday (06.11.14) for completing 102 hours of her 240-hour court-ordered service, as part of a plea deal she struck after she was charged with reckless driving and lying to police about being behind the wheel during a crash near Santa Monica, California in June 2012.
The judge said she had received favourable reports from her counsellor and the London-based charity, and also formally ended her probation stemming from when she was found guilty of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a shop in July 2011.
Following the hearing, Lindsay's attorney Shawn Holley told E! News: "The judge was pleased, the prosecutors were pleased and of course I'm pleased that Lindsay's doing well on probation, with her career, and generally with her life."
Lindsay did not attend the hearing, as she was not required to do so, and another progress update has been set for January 28, 2015.
A source recently revealed that the actress, who has sought treatment in rehab six times, plans to move back to her native New York City after her play finishes in London on November 29.

Katie Price says her husband Kieran Hayler's infidelity "paralyses her everyday".
While the 36-year-old star has reconciled with the former stripper - who she married last year - following revelations he had affairs with her two best friends, Jane Pountney and Chrissy Thomas, the businesswoman admits she is haunted by his cheating antics on a daily basis.
She said: "I never will get over it. It paralyses me everyday. But, you know, I try to be positive in life. He's getting help, he's had rehab."
Asked to clarify what her husband - the father of two of her five children, Jett, 15 months and three-month-old Bunny - is getting help for, she told ITV's 'This Morning': "It's like a sex addiction, it's like an adrenaline. The thing is, people always believe that someone is an alcoholic or a drug addict. But they need believe they've got a sex addiction of some sort.
"Lots of things happened to him when he was a kid, which I never knew until all of this happened. I'm not saying it's an excuse or anything ... but, you know, I'm still gobsmacked he's done it, because I was in shock myself.
"But my friends, I've now realised they're not my real friends. But he does have a problem and he's getting help for it."
Katie - who also has kids, Harvey, 12, from her past relationship with Dwight Yorke and Junior, nine, and Princess, seven, from her marriage to Peter Andre - explained she's stayed loyal to Kieran because she still loves her husband, not because it's best for their kids.
She said: "I don't think couples should be together just because of their kids. I want a happy home. I love him."
The mum-of-five also revealed she and Kieran joke about his infidelities, explaining: "Friday nights we always get a curry and he'll say, 'I'll go and pick it up.' And I'll say, 'Which car park are you going to pick your woman up in?' "

The Kills frontman - who married the blonde beauty in July 2011 - has insisted that while his wife is a supermodel, he doesn't feel the need to ask her for advice about what he is wearing .
When asked if the Burberry beauty chooses his outfits, Jamie replied: "She doesn't tell me what to wear or anything. Why? Do people think that? People think she tells me what to wear!"
While Kate doesn't pick out Jamie's garments, she has dressed her friend Nick Grimshaw on occasions, including for video 'Kate's Boys' as part of her guest editorial role on the December edition of UK Vogue magazine.
Dressed in a leopard-print outfit, the Radio 1 DJ said: "I've made Kate blush in my place of work before, I've made her come on the radio and talk and she went all red in that. Now she's turned me red today by dressing me like this."

She told the new issue of PEOPLE magazine: "I like lavender baths. It helps me to sleep. Keith and I have been known to take baths together, many times. It's so nice, we squeeze in!"
The Australian actress - who has two daughters, Sunday, six, and Faith, three, with the country singer - also ensures takes very good care of her skin and uses sun block everyday as she used to love having a tan when she was younger.
She said: "I wear full rashies [UV sun protection shirts], a hat, sunscreen. I do not let myself get burned because I have such fair skin, but I used to burn so badly that I'd blister."
The 47-year-old screen idol is currently filming 'Genius' with Colin Firth and Jude Law and admits she was very nervous on the first day of rehearsals.
Asked about the last time she felt embarrassed, she said: "I just did the first day of rehearsals for a new film, 'Genius,' with Colin Firth and Jude Law, and I had to get up and pretend I could act. I am always embarrassed on the first day and feel like I'm bushing from head to toe."

The 59-year-old reality TV star - who recently released her debut cookbook 'In The Kitchen With Kris' - admits her 30-year-old daughter is "the only one" of her children she can really rely on in the kitchen.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star said: "My kids say they'll participate but Khloé is the only one who I can really count on for help in the kitchen."
Kris is looking forward to preparing a Thanksgiving feast for her entire family later this month, as she really enjoys "the process, and cooking is how I relax".
She told the latest issue of PEOPLE magazine: "I can't wait to make my lemon chiffon and pies in these dishes.
"I set my table four days in advance. It takes me that long to get it just right, layering the different decorations, adding and taking away things until I can stand back and say, 'Yes, that's it.'
"I usually make three turkeys each year - two for the family and one for practice.
"I keep a Thanksgiving notebook of things I've made in the past and new recipes. I rotate dishes from year to year, but there are family favourites that always make the table."
Kris is hoping all her children and their partners and grandchildren will be able to make the dinner.
Her daughter Kim Kardashian West is married Kanye West and they have a daughter North, and Kourtney Kardashian has two children, Penelope, two, and Mason, four, with Scott Disick.
Kris' other children are Rob son Kardashian and daughters Kendall Jenner Kylie Jenner.

Daniel Radcliffe got "horrendously ill" when he drank antifreeze on the set of 'Horns'.
The 25-year-old actor was lucky to dodge death after consuming a cup of water which contained the chemical additive - which had been added to the water to ensure it wouldn't freeze - while shooting the movie in Canada, but he didn't realise the antifreeze had caused his illness until weeks afterwards.
He said: "It is very cold in Canada and as a solution to that, because they don't want the water to freeze in the pipes in the trailers overnight, they put antifreeze in it.
"So it's all non-potable water that comes out the tap. I did not know that, so I drank a full cup of non-potable water ... so I guess like half-antifreeze or whatever it would have been.
"I didn't realise, and then I got horrendously ill and didn't know why I had become so ill, and a couple of weeks later I went to drink a glass of water in hair and makeup and they were like, 'What are you doing? Don't do that, that's crazy you can't drink that water!' "
After realising the additive was the cause of Daniel's near-death experience, he raced back to his trailer on the set to discover it hadn't been fitted with signs telling him not to drink the water.
Speaking on chat show 'Conan', he added: "I just had never seen the signs. I went back and checked my trailer and there weren't signs in it that said, 'Don't drink this water,' but it was just, yeah, it was an accident."
