Rihanna to host Diamond Ball

Rihanna is "proud" to be hosting a special charity ball to raise funds for her foundation.
The 'Stay' hitmaker has announced the inaugural Diamond Ball will take place at The Vineyard in Beverly Hills, California on December 11 to benefit her Clara Lionel Foundation that promotes education and arts globally.
In a statement, the 25-year-old star said: "There is truly nothing I'm more proud of, and we've just gotten started. I'm excited to continue my work and thrilled to be able to host the Diamond Ball - a night that promises to be elegant and inspirational."
The Barbadian-born beauty founded her organisation, which she said is "one of the greatest benefits of my job," in 2012 and named it after her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.
The singer will perform with a live orchestra for approximately 600 guests at the event and a number of other celebrity guests will be announced at a later date.
Rihanna established the Clara Braithwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine in Bridgetown, Barbados, after donating $1.75 million to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital following the death of her grandmother from cancer in 2012.
She is also hoping to help raise $2.4 million to improve the centre and purchase additional radiotherapy equipment.

Azealia Banks put ‘blood, sweat and tears’ into album

Azealia Banks says she poured her "blood, sweat and tears" into her new album.
The 23-year-old star, who surprised fans by releasing her long-delayed debut, 'Broke With Expensive Taste,' directly to iTunes on Thursday (06.11.14), has revealed she created the 16-track record with "no help" after parting ways with her record label earlier this year.
Shortly after dropping the record, the 'Chasing Time' hitmaker wrote on Twitter: "Words cannot express the way I feel today.
"I know this is hella petty, but I need y'all to know that I a&r'd that record myself.. No help from polydor or interscope.
"I am the executive producer, everything.... ,my blood sweat and tears literally went into the making of this album (sic)."
The album was originally expected to be released in September 2012.
After numerous delays she begged Universal Interscope to release her from her contract and in July she tweeted: "Free at last."
Azealia released the album's second single, 'Heavy Metal and Reflective,' independently through her own Azealia Banks Records, but the album is also released through her imprint and Prospect Park, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The singer is set to attend the MTV European Music Awards in Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday (09.11.14).

Drew Barrymore wants to quit acting?

Drew Barrymore wants to take a break from Hollywood.
The 'Blended' actress, who has daughters, Olive, two, and Frankie, six months, with husband Will Kopelman, is planning to "act less and less" because she wants to focus on her family.
The 39-year-old star told the 'Today' show: "I think I will act less and less. It's hard to be present when you wake up before [the kids] and come home after they've gone to bed. That's just not the way I want to have this journey with my kids at this point in their life. But maybe when they're older, I will feel differently. At this point, I think that it has to be few and far between.
"[I'm a] very traditional [mother]. I'm not organised in my life, like, I lose everything and I'm a complete disaster. With my kids, I really don't accept that for myself because I think kids learn from example of the way you live your life."
Drew battled addiction when she was 13 and became legally emancipated from her mother, Jaid Barrymore, when she was 15, so is determined to create happy memories for her own children.
She said: "I had a very untraditional upbringing, so I looked at it from afar and just thought, 'Well that's the exact opposite of how I'd want to raise my kids.' But it doesn't make me bummed out that I didn't have parents. It's like, well thank god then that I didn't because maybe I wouldn't be this aggressively excited about traditions and values and Christmas cards or Halloween costumes... and being so present."

Joe Manganiello wants to work with Sofia Vergara

Joe Manganiello wants to star alongside Sofia Vergara on 'Modern Family'.
The 'Magic Mike' actor, who started dating the Colombian actress in July, says he would jump at the chance to make a cameo on her sitcom and was even in talks for a part on the show before they got together.
The 37-year-old star said: "There was talk a few years back, but my schedule conflicted so that was something that I guess predated my dating someone on the show.
"I went and hung out on the set with them all one night when they were filming the Halloween episode and they're great, they're amazing, so of course I would love to [appear on the show]."
Sofia, 42, was recently spotted visiting him on the set of 'Magic Mike XXL' in Atlanta, but he laughed off rumours she has a small part in the film.
He told E! News: "No she was just there, hanging out and being supportive. She does not want to be in it."
The former 'True Blood' hunk is looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with his family later this month.
He said: "We're going to have a big, big, big Thanksgiving. My brother just had a baby, his first baby, so it's my first niece."
Asked if it's made him broody, he added: "Well... I mean I'm not a spring chicken if that's what you're getting at."

Molly Sims is worried about her son

Molly Sims is worried about how her son will react to a sibling.
The 'Carrie Diaries' actress, who is five months pregnant with her second child with husband Scott Stuber, also admits she has "weird thoughts" about not being able to love her unborn baby as much as their two-year-old son, Brooks.
She said: "I've already started worrying like, 'Oh my God, what's he gonna do when I'm in the hospital?' It's weird. Then you're like, can I love him as much as I love him or her? Those weird thoughts come, when you didn't even think two years ago you could love something this much."
The 41-year-old star hasn't told Brooks that he is going to become a big brother yet.
She told PEOPLE.com: "We're really not there yet, but I'm excited, I think we're gonna start to get a baby doll and bring it home and name it."
Molly's says her husband was "very shocked" when they found out she was pregnant again.
She said: "So he came home that night and I surprised him -- he was very shocked. And then I think I almost threw up on him, like, 'Here's the proof!' "

Nicki Minaj admires Beyoncé

Nicki Minaj admires Beyoncé's work ethic.
The 31-year-old rapper says the 'Flawless' hitmaker, who has two-year-old daughter Blue with husband Jay Z, inspires her and makes her feel like she's "not allowed to complain" about her own busy schedule.
The 'Super Bass' hitmaker said: "There's something about her work ethic that always made me feel like no matter how hard stuff gets, I'm not allowed to complain. Some women give me the feeling that where there's a will, there's a way."
While she is a huge fan of the 32-year-old singer, Nicki says she is more involved in her career than most other pop stars.
She said: "People don't know how heavily involved I am in my own career. I'm on 15 to 25 conference calls every few days strategising with my team. I think a lot of artists sit back and have it done for them. Sometimes as women in the industry -- if you're sexy or like doing sexy things -- some people subconsciously negate your brain. They think you're stupid."
Nicki's latest music video 'Anaconda' features scantily clad dancers showing off their curves, but still considers herself as a "skinny girl."
She told Billboard magazine: "Everything we see that's labelled as beautiful is very skinny. In the song I kind of say, 'F**k them skinny girls.' But it's all love. I consider myself a skinny girl...I went overboard with the video to show that I'm not going to hide. And those big-booty dancers I have, they're not going to hide. Black girls should feel sexy, powerful and important, too."
Nicki will co-host and perform at the MTV European Music Awards in Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday (09.11.14).

Iggy Azalea buys Selena Gomez’s $3.45 million house

Selena Gomez has sold her old house to Iggy Azalea and Nick Young.
The 22-year-old 'Rudderless' star, who put her mansion in Tarzana, California on the market shortly after one of her stalkers was arrested "lurking outside" in January and moved into her new $3 million mansion in nearby Calabasas, has finally sold the six-bedroom property.
A source told Variety.com that the Australian rapper, 24, and her LA Lakers star beau paid $3.45 million for the lavish abode, which also includes a guesthouse with its own kitchen and balcony.
The main house boasts a formal living room, seven full bathrooms, a two-car garage, an open-plan kitchen, swimming pool, sports zone and a scenic backyard with a fire pit and barbecue area.
Selena decided to sell the house after a family member spotted Juan Garcia in her garden in January and called the police.
He was arrested after telling officers he was there "to see the singer in person" and was later sentenced to 120 days in Los Angeles County Jail for trespassing and ordered to stay at least 150 yards away from the 'Come & Get It' hitmaker for three years.
Professional basketball player Nick recently confirmed he and the 'Black Widow' had bought a new house and hinted they are close to getting engaged.
He said: "Me and Iggy just bought a house. We've been getting really close lately. I've never been with somebody like this."
Asked if they have talked about tying the knot, the 29-year-old star admitted: "It's come up a couple times."

Ariana Grande doesn’t take herself ‘too seriously’

Ariana Grande insists she doesn't take herself "too seriously."
The 'Break Free' hitmaker, who is dating rapper Big Sean, claims there are a lot of misconceptions about her and says rumours she's difficult to work with are "fictional."
The 21-year-old singer said: "I take my work seriously, but I don't take myself too seriously. I think that's the biggest misconception about me."
The brunette beauty is still adjusting to her success.
She told the December issue of InStyle magazine: "Some things are easier now, and others are harder. I never expected to be in a position where so many people are invested in every little thing I say and so."
Ariana was amused by a report she once said she hoped her fans would "f**king die."
She said: "That one had me laughing hysterically. Because anyone who knows me or has done any homework at all knows that I would literally give a limb for my fans.
"Part of me wants to say, 'Oh my god, that's so not me! Please don't believe that!' "
The 'Problem' hitmaker recently confessed Big Sean is "one of the most amazing men in the world, and that includes my grandfather and my brother," but plans to keep most of the details about their romance private.
She said: "On the one hand, I feel like I'm growing up and realise my life is my life and some things don't need to be shared. But I'm very spur-of-the-moment, very open with my fans. And if there's a cute pic I like that's a little personal and I want to share it, maybe I will."

Robin Williams was sober before death

Robin Williams was sober before he committed suicide.
The Marin County Sheriff's Office and Coroner have concluded their investigation into the 'Mrs. Doubtfire' star's death and ruled he did not consume illicit drugs or alcohol before he died from asphyxia due to hanging at his home in Tiburon, California in August.
An extensive toxicology evaluation confirmed the 63-year-old Oscar-winner, who checked into rehab in June to "maintain his sobriety," had taken prescription medications in "therapeutic concentrations," but there was no alcohol or no illicit drugs in his bloodstream.
The late star's wife Susan Schneider previously dismissed rumours the actor, who battled depression and addiction for much of his life, had fallen off the wagon before taking his life, but confirmed he had been struggling with a few private issues.
Shortly after his death, she said: "Robin's sobriety was intact and he was brave as he struggled with his own battles of depression, anxiety as well as early stages of Parkinson's Disease, which he was not yet ready to share publicly. It is our hope in the wake of Robin's tragic passing, that others will find the strength to seek the care and support they need to treat whatever battles they are facing so they may feel less afraid."
The 'Good Will Hunting' star is also survived by his three children from previous marriages, Zak Williams, 31, Zelda Williams, 25, and Cody Williams, 22.
