The 'Bad Teacher' actress - who previously dated stars including Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez - and the 35-year-old rocker are said to be planning to marry after just seven months of dating, multiple sources told Us Weekly magazine.
One source said: "Everyone thinks it's wild but are so happy for them. Benji always tends to fall in love easily, but this time it's for real and he landed a great girl. They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there's nothing better than that."
It was previously claimed that "traditional" Benji was keen to tie the knot with Cameron, 42, but she wasn't as bothered about marriage.
A source said: "He is more traditional then her. She really doesn't care about getting married but wants babies. He wants to get engaged and married first."
The 'Sex Tape' actress' mother Billie is likely to be thrilled by the news as she is said to be a big fan of the Good Charlotte singer.
A source said previously: "Billie has been gushing about Cameron's new relationship. She absolutely loves Benji and she hopes this is the man her daughter will finally settle down with."

Avicii has split from his girlfriend.
The 'Wake Me Up' hitmaker - whose real name is Tim Berling - has separated from Raquel Bettencourt after over a year of dating and she has moved out of his Los Angeles home.
A source told Us Weekly magazine the 25-year-old DJ "went to Mexico" on vacation immediately after the break-up and this week he has been sharing pictures on Instagram of his holiday in Cancun.
Avicii - who previously credited Raquel for helping him through a health scare earlier this year when he needed surgery for a blocked gallbladder and a burst appendix - recently had to splurge $350,000 to deal with a termite infestation in his $15.5 million Los Angeles mansion.
The DJ -and-producer forked out the huge sum after several hundred thousand insects caused some serious damage to his plush pad, and he also requires new roofing, walls and decking in his pricey property due to water damage.
The Swedish star splashed out on the five-bedroom abode last year and the home is the ideal place for the star to relax as it contains a water feature which runs the length of the house and ends in an infinity pool and a home theatre.

Eddie Redmayne is colourblind.
The 32-year-old star has trouble differentiating between various hues especially when he is trying out outfits as his wife Hannah Bagshawe - who he wed on Monday (15.12.14) - recently found out at the December premiere of his latest movie 'Theory of Everything'.
According to weekly journal Mr Porter, Eddie tried on his teal suit ahead of the event but the brunette beauty was not quite as keen his attire as he was.
She is said to have told him: "You're not wearing that."
He replied: "I know. It's green."
She then said: "That's not green, Eddie ... it's f**king green."
Hannah's interjection didn't stop Eddie - who plays physicist Stephen Hawking in 'The Theory of Everything' - from wearing the suit to the event and he also wore one on Monday when he tied the knot to the 32-year-old stunner at Babington House in Somerset, south-west England.
His representative told PEOPLE.com in a statement: "I am happy to confirm that Hannah and Eddie married today.
"They celebrated with a small number of close family and friends."
Eddie announced the couple's engagement in The Times newspaper's Marriages, Births and Deaths column earlier this year.
The announcement read: "Mr E.J.D. Redmayne and Miss H.J. Bagshawe. The engagement is announced between Edward, son of Mr and Mrs Richard Redmayne of London, and Hannah, daughter of Mr Nicholas Bagshawe and Mrs Caryl Bagshawe, both of London."

Sting likes being "on top" when making love to his wife Trudie Styler.

Chris Martin claims Angelina Jolie had him kidnapped and forced him to write a song for 'Unbroken'.
The Coldplay frontman's track 'Miracles' plays over the end credits for her latest directorial effort and the 37-year-old singer joked the actress and her husband Brad Pitt went to extreme lengths to get the group to work on her soundtrack.
Asked how the project came about, he said: "I got a message that said, 'Meet in this undisclosed location. You'll be blindfolded and picked up by seven ex-Navy SEALs.'
"So they kidnapped me, hit me over the head, and sprayed me with Mace. When I woke up, I was in an office, and Brad Pitt was doing push-ups as Angelina Jolie was just sitting there with her crown on.
"There was also a guy holding a knife to my throat, and she said, 'Write me a song, or else.' And Brad Pitt said, 'Yeah. What she said.' "
However, after the tough introduction, Chris went on to claim he and his bandmates weren't even guaranteed a place on the soundtrack, joking they then had to pass reality show-style eliminations.
He added to Vulture: "We wrote a song and then she said, 'It's through to the final eight,' and then we had live eliminations at her house.
"We came in second, but the main guy chickened out."

Iggy Azalea has stepped her feud with Azealia Banks up a notch by blasting her for being a "bigot", "poisonous" and a "miserable, angry human being".
The 24-year-old rapper took to her Twitter account to slam the 23-year-old star for "bullying others" after Azealia insisted yesterday (18.12.14) that Iggy's music was "not excellent" enough for Grammy recognition after she was nominated in the Record of the Year category for her hit 'Fancy'.
In a series of tweets, she wrote: "Special msg for banks: There are many black artists succeeding in all genres. The reason you haven't is because of your p**s poor attitude.
"Your inability to be responsible for your own mistakes, bullying others, the inability to be humble or have self control. It's YOU!
"you created your own unfortunate situation by being a bigot and don't have the mental capacity to realise yet. Probably never will.
"Now! rant, Make it racial! make it political! Make it whatever but I guarantee it won't make you likable & THATS why ur crying on the radio.
"Enjoy continuing to bang your head against that metaphoric brick wall & Savor this attention. I'm the only way you get ANY.
"You're poisonous and I feel genuinely sorry for you because it's obvious at this point you are a MISERABLE, angry human being. Regards! (sic)"
Iggy's comments come after Azealia opened up in a 45-minute interview on Hot 97's 'Ebro in the Morning' show about how she feels black artists do not get the credit they deserve.
She said: "I feel like, in this country, whenever it comes to our things, like black issues or black politics or black music or whatever, there's always this undercurrent of kinda like a 'F**k you.'
"There's always a 'F**k y'all n*****s. Y'all don't really own s**t. Y'all don't have s**t.
"That Macklemore album wasn't better than the Drake record. That Iggy Azalea s**t isn't better than any f***ing black girl that's rapping today.
"The Grammys are supposed to be accolades of artistic excellence. Iggy Azalea is not excellent.
"When they give these Grammys out, all it says to white kids is, 'Oh yeah, you're great, you're amazing, you can do whatever you put your mind to. And it says to black kids, 'You don't have s**t. You don't own s**t, not even the s**t you created for yourself, and it makes me upset."
Azealia also blasted Iggy earlier this month for staying silent on "black issues" such as the police killings of Eric Garner and Michael Brown.
She wrote: "its funny to see people Like Igloo Australia silent when these things happen... Black Culture is cool, but black issues sure aren't huh? (sic)"
But Iggy later hit back: "Theres more to sparking a change than trolling on social media. World issues shouldnt be used as a poor excuse to promote fan battles. (sic)"
This all comes just a few weeks after Azealia - who has also clashed with Eminem and T.I. in the past - insisted she was giving up on feuds because she is a "lady".
She said: "Am I hanging up my fighting gloves? Yeah. I'm a lady. I don't wanna be dealing with that."

Rita Ora has split from Ricky Hil.
The 24-year-old singer and the rapper, also 24, have gone their separate ways after six months of dating after "drifting apart" because of her busy schedule.
A source said: "Rita is so busy she is just flat out at the moment.
"She's recording 'The Voice' on BBC1, she has campaigns for make-up, clothing and a perfume coming out.
"Not to mention featuring in a Hollywood film, performing for the Obamas this week and recording her second album.
"Realistically, she doesn't have time for a steady relationship. It's not acrimonious - they just sort of drifted apart."
The 'Fifty Shades of Grey' actress has vowed to stay friends with Ricky - who is the son of designer Tommy Hilfiger - but her career is taking so much time, it isn't "practical" for them to continue their relationship.
The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "They had a great time in Marrakech last month for her birthday but since then she has been working non-stop in the States.
"As much as she liked Ricky, her career is her priority at the moment, while he's working on his own album.
"They do share a lot of mutual friends, though, so they're bound to stay in touch.
"However it's just not practical to be together right now."
The split is Rita's second of the year, as she separated from DJ Calvin Harris after over a year of dating in June.
And just like with Ricky, the 'I Will Never Let You Down' hitmaker blamed the break-up on her hectic schedule.
She recently said: "There's only so much you can do when you don't see each other. I really admire people who have long-distance relationships. It's an incredible achievement. I couldn't do it.
"It was the right guy at the wrong time. I was about to start a tour, and he was also all over the place."

Jay Z threw an ice skating party for his Roc Nation staff this week.
The rap mogul and the firm's founders Jay Brown and Tyran 'TyTy' Smith hosted a Christmas celebration for employees at the Celsius bar in New York's Bryant Park, and also reserved the adjacent ice rink for their guests only.
According to the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column, 45-year-old Jay was first to arrive at the party and sat at an outside table under a heat lamp before being joined shortly afterwards by his wife Beyonce.
Guests including Fabolous, Big Sean, Santigold, DJ Ross One, Haim and Wardell's Sasha and Theo Spielberg rapidly filled the two-level bar but despite the '99 Problems' hitmaker being in good spirits - clowning around and wearing a Santa hat in a photo booth - the fun didn't really start until he and his wife left around 10.
A source said: "Everyone hit the dance floor and let loose after the boss left."
The Roc Nation party was the second bash hosted by Jay Z this week.
On Tuesday (16.12.14), the '99 Problems' star and his wife - who have two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy together - held a private gathering in Brooklyn for guests including Rita Ora and Pharrell Williams.

Harper Beckham has made her family's Christmas decorations.
Victoria and David Beckham have gone all-out in decorating their London home for the festive season and have had a lot of help from their children Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and three-year-old Harper.
A source told LOOK magazine: "Harper has put her stamp all over the house. She's made a lot of paper chains with her grandmother which are dotted all over the house.
"And the whole family decorated the trees. There's one in the hallway, one in the master bedroom and one in the family living area."
Fashion designer Victoria, 40, is said to find 39-year-old David's determination to keep Christmas magical for Harper "hilarious" because he has done so much to ensure she believes in the magic of Santa Claus.
The source added: "Harper's still the only one who still believes in the magic and David wants to make the most of it.
"Victoria finds it hilarious - there's everything from ringing sleigh bells outside her door to sooty footprints by the fireplace. David gets so excited, never mind Harper!"
The Beckham family have been busy getting ready for the festive holiday and Victoria has bought David a special present - a neon heart artwork made by Tracey Emin.
