Avicii has split from his girlfriend.
The ‘Wake Me Up’ hitmaker – whose real name is Tim Berling – has separated from Raquel Bettencourt after over a year of dating and she has moved out of his Los Angeles home.
A source told Us Weekly magazine the 25-year-old DJ "went to Mexico" on vacation immediately after the break-up and this week he has been sharing pictures on Instagram of his holiday in Cancun.
Avicii – who previously credited Raquel for helping him through a health scare earlier this year when he needed surgery for a blocked gallbladder and a burst appendix – recently had to splurge $350,000 to deal with a termite infestation in his $15.5 million Los Angeles mansion.
The DJ -and-producer forked out the huge sum after several hundred thousand insects caused some serious damage to his plush pad, and he also requires new roofing, walls and decking in his pricey property due to water damage.
The Swedish star splashed out on the five-bedroom abode last year and the home is the ideal place for the star to relax as it contains a water feature which runs the length of the house and ends in an infinity pool and a home theatre.
