Mel B cancelled plans to have a crucial eye operation yesterday (20.12.14).
The former Spice Girl, who recently split from her husband of seven years Stephen Belafonte, was left blind in one eye when laser surgery she had 15 years ago to correct her vision went wrong and after waiting years to have the problem corrected, she opted to cancel the appointment at the last moment.
The 39-year-old star - who appeared as a judge during the 2014 series of 'The X Factor' - was required to undergo tests to check the transplant would work and book the specific eye surgeon at a Los Angeles hospital, the Mail on Sunday newspaper reports.
Mel spoke about the seriousness of the issue in an interview with Hello! Magazine.
She said: "I can't see at all out of my left eye. The lasering went wrong so this (operation) will be totally life-changing.
"I had laser treatment done to correct (my eyes), but it started to reverse in one eye. It's scary.
"I'm going blind again. I had a bit of a nightmare. I was reading the autocue and then suddenly I realised that I couldn't see properly."
Meanwhile, Mel's publicist said: "She was due to have it (the operation) in LA this week.
"Mel talked about it in the Hello! interview and said she would have the operation as soon as she got back.
"But she hasn't returned to LA, she's still in the UK and she's had to postpone the surgery for now."

Mel B wants Stephen Belafonte out of her life.
The 'X Factor' judge walked out on her husband of seven years shortly before she was taken to hospital suffering with severe stomach pains just over a week ago and sources close to the couple say Mel, 39, is tired of their furious arguments.
The friend explained: "At the moment she is discussing divorce.
"She knows this isn't the easiest option. It's going to be tough. But she knows her marriage is over."
The insider added that Mel was particularly annoyed that her husband decided to fly to California with their three-year-old daughter Madison and her nanny while she was still recovering from her illness.
The source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Mel is raging that Stephen thought it OK to go off with Madison like he has.
"She's in bits about this. It's the final nail in the coffin as far as her ­relationship with Stephen is concerned."

Nicki Minaj has told her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels to "jump".
The 'Anaconda' hitmaker recently split from her boyfriend of 12 years and in an extensive Twitter rant, Nicki has described her ex as an "ungrateful evil soul".
The 32-year-old beauty wrote: "Anything you don't appreciate will be taken. God sees your ungrateful evil soul. I gave and gave and gave. Threatening me? Blackmail? Jump.
"Let me be happy now. God.
"I'm sorry. My fans know this isn't me.
"Hate this. But I'm human. I do so much. Too much. No man would have stayed loyal in this game like me. (sic)"
Nicki's mom Carol also entered the argument, saying: "Safaree when you take on Nicki you take on me and the host of heaven.. Stop while you can SB!"
However, Safaree hit back at the pair, insisting he's been busy promoting his music instead of blasting his ex-girlfriend.
He wrote: "im doing interviews about my s**t and s**t im promoting.. not 1 thing said im doing interviews about nicki. yall sound ridiculous (sic).
"and speaking to some1 about pub and splits isnt blackmail. stop looking for pitty.. u handle your buisness why cant i ? and its not Bout fame its about respect and youve had 0 for me the pass few years.the 0 respect u had for me at home had nothing 2do w/music.
"im dissapointed too.. ur doin something to me publicly that the public doesnt know your doing but your the victim cuz ur famous.. smh."

Simon Cowell sent messages of support to Caroline Flack while she competed on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 35-year-old presenter won the reality TV show on Saturday night (20.12.14) and although she and Simon - the creator of 'The X Factor' - were appearing on rival programmes, the music mogul found time to tell Caroline just how proud he is of her.
Caroline - who used to present 'The Xtra Factor' on ITV - said: "He sent me a lovely text actually saying how well I've been doing and he was really proud of me, and so that was nice."
Caroline, who's previously dated One Direction star Harry Styles, says her success on the dancefloor has caused her to reconsider her career options, suggesting she hopes to appear in a stage production.
She shared: "My life has changed a lot. I believe in myself a lot more, I feel a lot more confident ... [professional partner] Pasha Kovalev has changed me more than Strictly.
"I'm such a worrier about everything - I worry and panic about a lot of things. And he's the opposite. So he rationalises a lot of things I think about and worry about and he's changed the way I think about things because he levels out my thoughts for me.
"And that's been really nice. It's really healthy, it's really positive. After doing Strictly - even three or four weeks in - I was thinking, 'I'd love to do something like be in a musical or something like that' - completely change the path. I don't know - 2015 will be an exciting year, I think."

Kourtney Kardashian has named her third child Reign Aston Disick.
The reality TV star gave birth to the latest member of her family on December 14 and there has been much speculation surrounding the name of her baby boy ever since.
But Kourtney, 35, has ended the rumours by confirming the baby's name on Instagram.
She wrote: "Madly in love with my little Reign Aston Disick."
Reign's name is English in origin and means sovereign or ruler, but it remains to be seen whether the decision of Kourtney and her partner Scott Disick leads to it becoming more popular among the US public, as was the case with their eldest son Mason, who was born exactly five years earlier.
The couple also have a two-year-old daughter, Penelope Scotland Disick.
In a recent interview, Kourtney admitted that she enjoys the feeling of being pregnant and is happy to embrace her fuller figure.
She explained: "I love being pregnant in general. This time I'm more tired than I was the other times.
"I think it's because I'm always running around and working on different things. But I feel comfortable with how I look and feel. I find a pregnant body to be beautiful and an incredible reminder of what a woman's body is made to do."

Sofia Vergara would apply cement around her eyes if it would help to halt the ageing process.
The 42-year-old actress is still considered to be among the most attractive women in Hollywood, but she freely admits to having worries about her appearance - and how she will age, in particular.
The Colombian beauty explained: "I don't want to age! If you said applying cement around my eyes would stop wrinkles, I would do it."
Sofia, who stars in 'Modern Family', says she longs for her 20s, when she felt at her most attractive and youthful.
She shared with the January issue of New Beauty magazine: "Youth makes everyone look good. I used to have to take care of fewer things."

Adam Sandler has been called an "a**hole" by a Sony executive.
The 'Anger Management' star was criticised by embattled Sony Pictures executive Amy Pascal after he demanded $200 million for a new film and a raise for a production buddy, leaked emails show.
Studio executives at Sony were angered by the 48-year-old actor's behaviour during the making of the animated film 'Hotel Transylvania 2'.
In a leaked email written by Pascal to Hannah Minghella, of Columbia Pictures, she said: "Adam is an asshile and this is more his fault than anyone's but what we did was not communicate with each other and make assumptions (sic).
"Maybe I didn't pay attention when you were telling me what I was walking into but it also comes from . . . no one taking responsibility and I mean myself as it is my responsibility to let you guys know what I want to breath life into."
In another email written by Doug Belgrad, president of Sony's motion-picture group, he claims Adam is angry that he no longer enjoys the success he achieved earlier in his career.
Doug wrote: "You said yourself that Adam was gonna be angry and . . . you couldn't fix what was really bothering him, that he isn't the guy he once was and nobody can make that better for him."

Elton John has got married to David Furnish.
The 'Rocket Man' singer officially tied the knot with with his partner at their estate in Windsor in south east England this afternoon (21.12.14), on the ninth anniversary of their civil partnership.
The couple - who met in 1993 - shared their special day on Twitter and Instagram, with Elton joining the image-sharing social network especially for the occasion.
Alongside an image of the couple signing the legal forms, Elton wrote: "That's the legal bit done. Now on to the ceremony! #ShareTheLove @DavidFurnish (sic)."
The 67-year-old and his 52-year-old partner have long been an advocate of gay marriage, and supported the decision for same-sex couples to marry when it became legal in March.
The decision to wed comes nine years after they committed themselves to each other in a lavish ceremony at the Windsor Guildhall which was attended by Victoria Beckham and Helena Bonham Carter among other stars, but it is believed this afternoon's ceremony will be a more low-key affair, with Elton saying earlier this year: "We'll do it very quietly. But we will do it and it will be a joyous occasion and we will have our children."
Posting an image online last night (20.12.14), David indicated their sons Zachary, three, and 23-month-old Elijah would be a key part of the celebrations, writing: "Our little ring bearers are fast asleep, and their shoes are polished and ready for tomorrow's celebration. @EltonJohn #ShareTheLove#DavidFurnish (sic)."

Olly Murs is worried about buying his girlfriend a Christmas present.
The 'Troublemaker' hitmaker has been in a relationship with Francesca Thomas for 18 months and is concerned about doing his gift shopping because he is "rubbish" at choosing things for other people.
He said: "When you have a girlfriend it's even harder because you've got to get extra presents and I'm rubbish at buying them. It's always going to be difficult."
After a busy year, Olly - who will embark on a huge arena tour in 2015 - is looking forward to returning to Essex to spend the festive season with Francesca and his family.
He told Britain's OK! magazine: "Essex is a great place for me. I love it there. It's very quiet and I know everyone there.
"It's a bid sad really but I kind of like being at home chilling out."
Olly recently admitted he pays himself a modest salary because he worries about losing everything in the future.
He said: "I've given myself a salary recently, because I think it's important. For the first two years I was like, 'Yeah I'll buy that and this. Mum, what do you want? I'll get it for you.'
"But then you watch shows like 'The Big Reunion' and it opens your eyes to realise that this can all go so quickly, and you've got to be wise with your money."
