Gwyneth Paltrow ‘hit a wall’ before split from Chris Martin

Gwyneth Paltrow has insisted that there was nothing "dramatic" about her split from Chris Martin.
The 'Iron Man 3' actress - who "consciously uncoupled" from the Coldplay frontman in March 2014 after ten years of marriage - admitted she "hit a wall" in her personal life before the pair parted.
Asked what led to the pair separating, she shared: "There was nothing dramatic.
"I had built my life on trying to be all things to all people, and I just couldn't do it anymore, and I really had the sense that I wasn't allowed to have needs, and I had to prove my specialness or self-worth by doing all this stuff and taking care of everybody else, and I just sort of hit a wall."
The 42-year-old actress - who has Apple, 10 and Moses, eight, with the 'A Sky Full Of Stars' hitmaker - revealed that the pair have worked "really hard" on their friendship and hopes the way they handled the split made things "more whole and happier" for their two children.
She said: "We've worked really f***ing hard to get to [this] point. But we're very, very close, and it's so nice.
"I feel like it's, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have."
Meanwhile, Gwyneth revealed that she can be "misunderstood" but went on to admit that she has said some "stupid things" in the past.
She told the February issue of Marie Claire magazine: "Look, one of the disadvantages of having been famous for so long is I've said some stupid things.
"But when words are put into my mouth, those are the situations I feel aren't quite fair."

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s dieting days

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley used to be a big dieter before she started exercising.
The 27-year-old model admits she used to be very careful about what she ate but realised she was getting "bad advice" from several different people so ditched her cautious calorie-counting approach in favour of some exercise.
She said: "I tried to diet, and it never really worked out for me. And I was getting bad advice from all over and in the end I picked up exercise, and I started to enjoy that."
The blonde stunner - who has been dating Hollywood action man Jason Statham since 2010 - admitted she finds it tough to turn down work because she wants to make someone of herself rather than settle for marrying a rich man.
Speaking about her response to a young model who asked why she did not yet have a rich husband, she told ELLE UK magazine: "That's never been it for me. I'm an ambitious girl. I love to work, and it makes me feel good.
"I like to make something of my own. It's a huge opportunity, so it's like, 'What can I build from this for when I don't want the limelight anymore?'
"I'm not very good at turning down work. You've got to make hay while the sun shines. Work is a massive priority in my life right now, because I know that, someday, it won't be."

Katherine Jenkins’ quiz show success

Katherine Jenkins realised she had made it when she was a question on 'University Challenge'.
The 34-year-old mezzo-soprano knew she had become a successful singer when her mother Susan rang the blonde beauty to tell her a question about her fourth studio album had been on the notoriously tough British quiz show.
When asked when she knew she had really made it, she said: "My Mum rang me up and said I was a question on 'University Challenge'. It was something like, 'What was the name of my fourth album'."
Katherine admits she has been "very lucky" to have tasted so much success in her career and puts it partly down to her parents not pressurising her when she first shot to fame.
She said: "I am so grateful for those opportunities. And I was lucky that my parents were not pushy parents, so I could develop without pressure.
"I've been very lucky that along the way it has snowballed. That gave me the opportunity to get my head around everything.
"I look at the 'X Factor' contestants and they go straight from normal life to stardom. I don't think I could cope with that."
The Welsh star achieved further success in her personal life last September when she married filmmaker Andrew Levitas, and she has promised to take him for a traditional fish and chips meal in her home nation after assuring him they are the best in the world.
Speaking to the Daily Post newspaper, she added: "It's beautiful, it's so gorgeous. My husband is American and I have told him how gorgeous it is and we are looking forward to it. And it has got the best fish and chips."

Jennifer Lopez reveals divorce heartache

Jennifer Lopez broke down while admitting she felt like she was "going to die" when her marriage to Marc Anthony broke up.
The 45-year-old singer - who was married to the singer/songwriter for 10 years until their divorce last year - insists she tried her very best to make their relationship work but it wasn't to be and she experienced more pain than she ever had before when the former couple went through a divorce.
Speaking on HBO documentary 'Jennifer Lopez: Dance Again', the emotional star said: "I remember being on the set and being in my dressing room and not feeling like I could get up in the morning and there's just no pain like that. There's no pain or failure like going through a divorce.
"That hope, that dream, that fairytale, with that first time that dream gets blown to pieces, you feel like you're going to die.
"You feel like you failed. You feel like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make it work."
Jennifer admitted her and 46-year-old Marc's divorce was particularly agonising because she knew their children, six-year-old twins Max and Emme, would be devastated.
She said: "That wasn't my dream. My dream was for us to always be together.
"You never want to break up family."
The show saw Jennifer on tour with her twins and captured some of the heartache her children feel when they are not with their father.
While holding a heart-shaped necklace, Emme said: "This is so I can always remember my daddy.
"I'm going to be with him. I want to remember him so I bought this heart."

Bono: I may never play guitar again

Bono has revealed he might never be able to play the guitar again following his horrific bicycle crash.
The U2 frontman insists he would "very much miss" playing the instrument but admitted he is fearing the worst after being fitted with a Titanium elbow following the November incident in New York's Central Park, in which he suffered a fractured face, hand, shoulder blade and broken elbow.
Writing in an 'A to Z of 2014', which he posted on U2's website, he explained: "Recovery has been more difficult than I thought... As I write this, it is not clear that I will ever play guitar again. The band have reminded me that neither they nor Western civilization are depending on this.
"I personally would very much miss fingering the frets of my green Irish falcon or my (RED) Gretsch. Just for the pleasure, aside from writing tunes. But then does the Edge, or Jimmy Page, or any guitarist you know have a titanium elbow, as I do now? I'm all elbows, I am. (sic)"
Bono also admitted he hasn't be able to move around for the last few weeks and has been on painkillers, joking that anyone who got to the end of his mammoth 6,197-word comment piece must be on the same medication as he is.
The 54-year-old star, who has been recovering at his home in Dublin, cannot remember what happened during the "freak accident" and insisted the website post will be his only communication for the first six months of the year as he desperately tries to recover in time for U2's 'iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE' tour, which is due to begin in Canada in May.
He added: "I can't blame on anyone but myself, mainly because I blanked out on impact and have no memory of how I ended up in New York Presbyterian with my humerus bone sticking through my leather jacket. Very punk rock as injuries go.
"The consequences of this freak accident are significant enough that I will have to concentrate hard to be ready for the U2 tour in fitness terms... as a result I have cancelled every public appearance and decided this missive is all the communication I can manage for the first half of 2015, beyond muttering and singing to myself of course."
Bono also admitted he is going to try to learn from his mistakes and realise his body is not an "armoured vehicle".
He wrote: "I have written words for new songs, but I have also had an opportunity to look back and review the year in a way I've never had time to do before... there have been more highs than lows, but perhaps the reason for this A TO Z endeavor is an attempt to learn from mistakes - the first of which is the discovery that I am not an armored vehicle. Edge says I look at my body as an inconvenience...The problem, as I see it, is that I think my head is harder than any other surface. (sic)"

Iggy Azalea diagnosed with TMJ

Iggy Azalea has been diagnosed with the jaw condition TMJ.
The 24-year-old rapper has revealed she is suffering with the painful ailment, also known as temporomandibular joint dysfunction, which can be caused by stress and restricts movement of the mouth and makes eating and talking more difficult.
Despite her diagnosis, Iggy is staying positive and is going to do everything in her own control to get better.
In a series of posts on Twitter, she revealed: "Last month I was diagnosed with TMJ which isn't the best ... I don't think western medicine all the way acknowledges what a huge toll mental stress takes on our bodies. But I do believe it is a factor. I'm gonna make more of an effort to take care of myself in 2015, stay away from all the drama & hopefully not have any flair ups. So that's my little update and message! Look after your body and mind in the new year. (sic)"
The 'Black Widow' hitmaker also assured her fans the condition won't affect her music career and she is set to start work on her next album - the follow-up to 2014's 'The New Classic' - next week.
Still referring to her TMJ, she tweeted: "Anyhow I don't think it will ever prevent me from doing anything I want to but it has made me realize it's important to look after yourself ... I'm back to work on my second album next week... Anxious to get going on it. The excited kind of anxious. (sic)"
In 2014, Iggy was involved in heated public feuds with Eminem - who threatened to rape her in his song 'Vegas' - and Snoop Dogg, who mocked her looks online but eventually backed down after her mentor T.I. stepped in and asked his friend Snoop to apologise to Iggy.

Taylor Swift sends hand-picked Christmas gifts to fans

Taylor Swift melted the hearts of hundreds of her fans by giving them hand-picked Christmas presents.
The 25-year-old singer went out and bought loads of gifts for her supporters - known as Swifties - before wrapping them up herself and sending them over the festive period, and a newly-release behind-the-scenes YouTube video has shown the incredible effort the blonde beauty went to for her fans.
Before the footage of the great Swift gift giveaway began, a message appeared on the clip explaining that the 'Out of the Woods' hitmaker had trawled her supporters' social networking pages to find her most diehard fans and get an idea of what they would want as a gift.
It read: "Shortly after the massively successful release of '1989', fans on social media began to experience another phenomenon.
"After something that became known as Tay-lurking, whereupon every detail of a fan's likes, job, whereabouts was studied intently ... a single Santa emoji would appear on their socials.
"From one Taylor Swift.
"Large Fedex boxes began to appear on the doorsteps of certain fans in what became tenderly referred to as 'Swiftmas'.
"These are their stories."
The clip then begins with Taylor pointing her camera at the enormous stack of presents she purchased and is then seen wrapping the hundreds of gifts in wrapping paper before covering them in bubble wrap and placing them in delivery boxes.
In one scene she is aptly dressed in a Santa hat and her pyjamas and she starts singing: "It's Christmas, I'm Santa Claus ... this is actually a Hanukkah present. It's the second day of Hanukkah so I don't want to miss the whole thing."
The video also sees Taylor talking to her two pet cats, Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson, named after characters in 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' respectively, throughout as they help her with the wrapping.
She jokingly tells Olivia: "You're sitting on and biting the wrapping paper, it's really sped up the process. I'm sure Michelle will really appreciate having holes in her presents. Thanks, Olivia."
The clip then cuts to her fans' reactions at receiving the gifts and their genuine astonishment at getting a hand-written card from their heroine.
One girl could barely speak as she burst into tears while reading the words written from Taylor in her card, which said: "You are so devastatingly adorable."
Another fan turned her card around to the camera to reveal both sides completely covered in the blonde beauty's handwriting.
Taylor said: "There's this wonderful girl named Steph who I've met before. She has a tiny young son called Leyton who she posts videos of all the time but I've never got to meet him before.
"I guess we're just going to drive to Connecticut and bring Leyton some Christmas presents."
The next scene sees Taylor in her car and she says: "They have no idea we're coming. They should be in because they think they are getting a package from UPS but UPS is me."
She is then seen meeting Steph at her door and the super-fan bursts into tears before inviting Taylor in to give her presents to Leyton, who she bought a mini car.
The clip culminates with messages from her super-fans thanking her for the gifts and ends with a screenshot of Taylor giving little Leyton a cheeky kiss.

Emma Stone is a home girl

Emma Stone says her work stops her from having a busy social life.
The 26-year-old actress enjoyed a very successful 2014 starring as character Sally Bowles in the Broadway production of musical 'Cabaret' and having lead roles in films 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2', 'Magic in the Moonlight' and 'Birdman'.
But Emma - who is in a relationship with her 'The Amazing Spider-Man' co-star Andrew Garfield - admits her numerous acting roles don't leave her much time for herself, so she tends to just relax at home when she's not working.
When asked what she does in her spare time, she said: "I just stay at home. A few people come over and I watch movies and I read and that's pretty much all I've got outside of work ... All I've been doing is working (lately) so I haven't been able to do that much outside of work."
Emma believes she is a workaholic because of the struggles she experienced early on in her career when she wasn't in demand as an actress and had to fight for every job she got.
Speaking in the new issue of Loaded magazine, she said: "I think I have this kind of non-stop neurotic awareness that it won't always be this way, and it hasn't always been this way.
"There have been periods of time throughout it all where it felt like the nature of being an actor is that you finish something and then you feel like you're never going to get another job again, and that doesn't really ever go away. It doesn't really matter what it is you last did. It always feels like your fingers are crossed and you're just waiting to see what's going to happen next. So I have a healthy amount of not believing that anything will continue past the next six months or something. Maybe that sounds horribly negative."

Hayley Williams and Chad Gilbert engaged

Hayley Williams and Chad Gilbert have got engaged.
The New Found Glory guitarist popped the question to the Paramore frontwoman - who he started dating in 2008 - on Christmas Day (25.12.14) and the flame-haired beauty took to her Twitter account to share the news with her fans by posting a picture of their heads super-imposed on the bodies of a couple on their wedding day.
She added the caption: "Hey guess what?"
Chad - who married Indie rocker Sherri DuPree in February 2007, but divorced her later that year - also posted the same picture and revealed further details about his proposal, writing: "Popped the question on Christmas Day! #micdrop (sic)"
Hayley was inundated with messages from her followers and fellow singer Taylor Swift was one of the first stars to congratulate the couple on their happy news.
In a message featuring several heart emojis, she wrote: "CONGRATULATIONS YOU CRAZY KIDS!!!! (sic)"
Katy Perry was also delighted for the pair, tweeting: "YAS! Now this is truly punk rock! CONGRATS! (sic)"
Following the flurry of congratulatory messages Hayley admitted she couldn't wait for 2015.
She wrote: "Can't even keep up w/ the sweet texts, emails, tweets. Thx so much yall! We're so psyched! See yall in 2015 (sic)"
