Kathy Griffin pays tribute to Joan Rivers on Fashion Police debut

Kathy Griffin paid tribute to her late "friend" Joan Rivers on her 'Fashion Police' debut on Monday (12.01.14).
The 53-year-old comedienne-and-actress has replaced Joan on the style critique TV show following her passing last September at the age of 81 and she took the opportunity to remember her sharp-tongued pal on her first episode.
Kathy said: "Before I start making more enemies and burning new bridges, I want to thank my good friend. Joan, I know you are watching from heaven, but I am not afraid to bring the hammer down on anyone."
Joined on the panel by regulars Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and newcomer, stylist and former reality star Brad Goreski, Kathy added: "We have a new set, new faces, but our mission remains the same."
Once she had made her sentimental statement, the quick-witted redhead wasted no time in dissecting the best and the worst of the red carpet outfits from the Golden Globe Awards, which took place on Sunday night (11.01.14).
Kathy was impressed with Jennifer Lopez's pale beige Zuhair Murad gown which left little to the imagination.
She said: "My inner gay boy just loves. I love the danger. I almost saw cooch. Sparkles, razzle-dazzle. This is what I live for - she looks like she's in a gladiator movie and playing the girlfriend."
Continuing her critique of J.Lo's outfit, she added: "(We want) class for some people, and for some people we want to see a near-miss of your vagina."
However, she wasn't impressed by Amal Clooney's decision to wear white gloves with her black dress, and fiercely mocked them.
Kathy said: "She had those gloves that reminded me of a prom scene.
When she said she made them herself, I said, 'Yeah, no s**t.'
"She used those bovine insemination gloves, but nobody gets a pass because you are married to George Clooney."

Bill Murray planned Clooney prank at Golden Globes

Bill Murray had planned to rush on stage at the Golden Globes as George Clooney was picking up his lifetime achievement award.
The 64-year-old actor reportedly wanted to prank his good friend by storming the stage as the Hollywood actor was being honoured at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night (11.01.15) but decided not to because George ruled against it.
An insider told the New York Post's Page Six column: "I wish it had happened, it might have made the show more interesting."
George was handed the Cecil B. DeMille Award for outstanding contribution to entertainment at the star-studded ceremony and fortunately for him his 'Monuments Men' co-star didn't storm the stage as that may have affected his acceptance speech, in which he praised his wife Amal Alamuddin.
He said: "It's a humbling thing when you find someone to love - even better when you've been waiting your whole life. And when your whole life is 53 years, Amal, whatever alchemy it is that brought us together, I couldn't be more proud to be your husband."
George also paid tribute to the 3.7 million people who took to the streets in France for a public show of solidarity against the Paris terrorist attacks earlier in the day.
He said: "Today was an extraordinary day. Millions of people marched not just in Paris but all over the world. They were Christians and Jews and Muslims, they were leaders of countries all over the world. And they didn't march in protest, they marched in support of the idea we will not walk in fear. So, Je Suis Charlie. Thank you."
Hollywood insiders revealed Bill was keen to "pull a Kanye", in reference to Kanye West storming the stage at the VMAs in 2009 when Taylor Swift was being awarded Best Female Video for 'You Belong To Me'.
The rapper spoilt Taylor's big moment by snatching the microphone from her and launching into a rant insisting his pal Beyonce Knowles should've been given the accolade for her 'Single Ladies' video.
He told the blonde stunner: "Yo Taylor. I'm really happy for you, I'm going to let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time."

Liam Gallagher fined for missing court

Liam Gallagher has been fined $5,000 for missing a child support hearing.
The 'Wonderwall' singer was due to appear in a Manhattan court yesterday (12.01.15) for his case with journalist Liza Ghorbani - the mother of his 22-month-old daughter Gemma - but was absent from the meeting because he was "anxious and depressed".
Justice Laura Drager reportedly shook her head in disbelief when the 42-year-old rocker's lawyer, Raoul Felder, explained his client had been issued with a last-minute doctor's note.
She then slammed the excuse as completely "insufficient", while Liza's lawyer, Ira Garr, blasted it as "offensive".
The attorney told the courtroom he had a photo of Liam and girlfriend Debbie Gwyther walking arm-in-arm in London over the weekend and added: "I think it's offensive. My client came up from Virginia."
Liam's decision not to attend the hearing comes less than two months after he claimed he was too ill to fly to the US sit for a deposition with his former lover's lawyer - but was spotted in a pub a day later.
According to Mr. Garr, the 'Supersonic' rocker - who disbanded his group Beady Eye last year amid speculation his most successful band, Oasis, are planning to reform - has been given three settlement offers so far but his representatives haven't responded.
He added: "Gallagher has indicated that Oasis (sic) is disbanded and his earnings are down, which is why he is reported to be selling off his homes in London and on Central Park South."
It is believed Liam wants to finalise his divorce settlement with Nicole Appleton - the mother of his 13-year-old son Gene - before making an agreement with Liza.
And the US journalist is said to be particularly unhappy that the 'Supersonic' hitmaker - who also has daughter Molly, 16, and son Lennon, 15, from previous relationships - still hasn't met their daughter.
The lawyer said: "The fact that he hasn't even seen the child is a great source of disappointment to the mother."

Kim Kardashian West to visit Armenia

Kim Kardashian West and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are planning a trip to Armenia.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' stars are said to be "so excited" at the prospect of visiting their late father Robert Kardashian's ancestral homeland some time in April.
A source told E! News: "Visiting Armenia has been on Kim's bucket list forever.
"They are all so excited! They want to learn about their heritage."
Details of the trip are still being finalised, but the sisters are expected to be accompanied by some of their cousins and Kim, 34, is keen for her 17-month-old daughter North to join the group, while Kourtney plans to take her three kids, Mason, five, Penelope, two, and four-week-old Reign.
Kim's husband Kanye West also hopes to be there if his schedule allows, though it is not clear whether Kourtney's partner Scott Disick will make the trip.
Kim has previously admitted visiting Armenia is her "dream".
She has said: "People ask all the time if I am from there and unfortunately I have never been to Armenia, but it's my dream to go there for sure!"
And the brunette beauty has also admitted her father - who died of cancer in 2003 - would be very "proud" of how she and her sisters embrace their heritage.
She has said: "My great-grandfather was Armenian and my great-grandmother Turkish-Armenian. My mother is English, so I am half Armenian, but, I was raised with a huge Armenian influence, always hearing stories of Armenia, eating Armenian food and celebrating Armenian holidays.
"My father would be so proud that we talk about our Armenian heritage! My dad used to always tell us to never remove the -ian from our last name like some Armenians that came to the US.
"He was so proud to be Armenian and his biggest regret was not sending us to Armenian school! I am so proud to be Armenian and so happy that I can identify with my Armenian fans!"

Usher engaged to Grace Miguel

Usher has got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Grace Miguel.
The 36-year-old singer and the brunette beauty have been dating since 2009 and were spotted together at the Golden Globes Art of Elysium Heaven Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday (10.01.15), where Grace was seen sporting a large diamond on her ring finger.
A source told Us Weekly: "She's happy but they're trying to keep it quiet."
Usher recently paid tribute to Grace, who is also his business partner, admitting she had helped him through some tough times.
The 'OMG' hitmaker said: "I have an incredible partner and manager.
"She has helped me through some of the hardest times in my life and my career. She's someone who's been able to support and understand all of who I am. Not just as a dancer or as a performer or as a singer, but as a humanitarian and a business man and as a person."
There is no indication as to when the couple, who celebrated new year together at E11even nightclub in Miami, intend to tie the knot.
Usher has two sons, Usher 'Cinco' Raymond V, seven, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, six, with his ex-wife Tameka Foster, who he was married to from 2007 until 2009.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Rihanna party at Playboy Mansion

Leonardo DiCaprio and Rihanna got "super steamy" as they partied together at the Playboy Mansion on Saturday night (10.01.15).
The 'Wolf of Wall Street' star - who is reported to have split from his girlfriend Toni Garrn last month - and the 'S&M' hitmaker were spotted getting "hot and heavy" at designer Nikki Erwin's 30th birthday party.
According to TMZ, a couple of eyewitnesses saw the pair share a sneaky smooch but a friend of Leonardo's has told the gossip website that was not the case.
The pair partied alongside several other stars including Paris Hilton, Tom Hardy, Naomi Campbell, Pamela Anderson, Hilary Duff and Tobey Maguire.
The 40-year-old actor is said to have been invited to the bash by Nikki's producer boyfriend Chuck Pacheco, and while it is not known whether or not he left with the 26-year-old stunner they are thought to have ended up at the same after-party along with rapper 50 Cent.
Leonardo looked to be having a good time at the after-party as he jokingly photobombed a picture of Naomi and the 39-year-old star, who uploaded the image on his Instagram account.
Last month, it was reported Leonardo had "officially split" from his girlfriend Toni, 22, after dating on and off for two years.

Angelina Jolie ‘hurt’ by Golden Globes snub

Angelina Jolie felt "hurt" by Golden Globes snub.
The 39-year-old actress was feeling "upset" on Sunday evening (11.01.15) as she missed the prestigious awards ceremony in Los Angeles, still reeling over 'Unbroken's exclusion from the extensive list of nominations.
A source revealed: "Angelina's hurt. She's been upset that the film was overlooked."
The film - directed by the former actress - tells the story of Olympic athlete Louis "Louie" Zamperini who was taken prisoner in Japan during World War II, and follows his struggle to endure the difficult conditions.
A member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association revealed the movie would have made the shortlist in previous years due to "star power alone" but added the film wasn't quite good enough to warrant a nomination this time.
The source told the New York Post's Page Six column: "A few years ago, she would have been in."
Despite being ignored by the awards - which crowned 'Boyhood' as Best Motion Picture (Drama) - the star is still hoping to receive praise at the Oscars, and was pleased to see the film's protagonist, Jack O'Connell nominated for the Bafta Rising Star award.
The young actor - who is up against the likes of Margot Robbie and Shailene Woodley - recently revealed he is keen to bring the award "home" to the UK.
He said: "It'll be a good night out, one way or the other, but I really want it. I want to really bring it home for us. Queen and country, and all of that."

Michelle Williams: Beyonce is not pregnant

Michelle Williams says Beyonce is not pregnant.
The 'Drunk In Love' hitmaker sparked rumours she is expecting her second child with husband Jay Z on Sunday (11.01.15) after posting an image of a baby bump sculpted out of sand, but her former Destiny's Child bandmate has played down the speculation saying it's a silly conclusion to jump to.
She said: "First of all, if you look at the picture, the baby bump is probably where her knees probably really are... Just stop it, stop it."
The 34-year-old singer also mentioned how the star is always secretive with her personal life, with rumours suggesting she wasn't pregnant circulating when she was expecting her first child with the '99 Problems' rapper, Blue Ivy, who was born three years ago.
Speaking on 'The View', she added: "You know, when she was pregnant, people said that she wasn't pregnant. There's just no truth to it. Sorry!"
However, mass speculation has surrounded the image which suggests a burgeoning belly, although neither Jay Z or his 33-year-old wife - who are holidaying in Asia - have commented.
In September, the 45-year-old rapper seemed to confirm the singer was expecting another child during a performance in Paris where he altered song lyrics to allegedly sing, "cause she pregnant with another one," although those claims were later dismissed with no further information being revealed.

Maisie Williams had bad online experience

Maisie Williams blamed the Internet for the "worst year of her life".
The 'Game of Thrones' actress admits she engaged in an anonymous war of words with someone she didn't get along with via Formspring - a question-and-answer-based social networking service - and looking back now, she knows she was "bullying" the other girl, even though she was also receiving "horrible" messages.
She said: "I had an awful experience with Formspring. I knew who the girl was who was sending anonymous things and I'm being completely honest with you here, we started sending horrible anonymous things back.
"She deleted her Formspring because she was being bullied. And then she set it up again. Why are you setting it up again? My advice would be to stay off it. It's the worst thing. It's just bad news. It was the worst year of my life and it was all down to Formspring. "
The 17-year-old star admits she was advised by her mother to delete her account on the website because of the abuse she received but she refused because she wanted to "fit in" with her peers.
Asked about the messages she received, she told website The Debrief: "[There were] paragraphs of speech saying you're weird because you're not at school, you're a stuck up bitch because you talk about it too much, no one likes you, we all just pretend to like you because you're rich and famous, horrible messages.
"Mum's like, just delete it. It's easy for an adult to say. But when you're in this world and your body is changing and your hormones are everywhere and you just want to fit in.
"I don't blame the girls who doing what they did. It doesn't mean it didn't hurt and that it wasn't wrong. But I understand it."
Though Maisie has public profiles on social media, she also has a private account on Tumblr in order to vent without having "fingers pointed" at her.
She admitted: "I have a Tumblr where I have a false name and no-one knows it's me. It's a way to get things off your chest without fingers pointed at you."
The full interview with the 'Cyber Bully' star is available to read at www.thedebrief.co.uk.
