Gwyneth Paltrow testifies against alleged stalker

Gwyneth Paltrow testified in court on Monday (08.02.16) about her alleged stalker.
Dante Soiu was previously found not guilty of stalking Gwyneth by reason of insanity in 2000 and sent to a mental institution for several years.
However, after his release he has been accused of sending the actress up to 66 letters between 2009 and 2015, which she found "disturbing".
Just one day after supporting her ex Chris Martin and close pal Beyoncé Knowles during their performance at Super Bowl 50 in San Francisco, Gwyneth testified in court in Los Angeles about the letters.
Mr Soiu - who is accused of stalking the actress for 17 years - had denied all charges.
Gwyneth's testimony referred to letters and packages dating back to 1999 which she received from Soiu and contained pornography, earrings and a statement that he wanted to "excise her sin with a scalpel".
He also said he wanted to marry her.
Deputy District Attorney Wendy Segall said that Soiu has shattered the mother-of-two's sense of security. His lawyer said Soiu has simply written letters to Paltrow, and that recent letters haven't included pornography.
The trial continues in Los Angeles.

Goldie Hawn set for big-screen comeback in Amy Schumer movie

Goldie Hawn is in talks to play Amy Schumer's mother in a new comedy.
The 70-year-old actress - whose last big-screen role was 2002's 'The Banger Sisters' - could be set to come out of retirement to take a part in the upcoming film which Jonathan Levine will direct and Paul Feig is producing.
Vulture's Kyle Buchanan first revealed the casting news in a series of tweets.
He wrote: "I hear Amy Schumer landed an Oscar winner to play her mom in Jonathan Levine's upcoming mother-daughter vacation comedy. Any guesses?
"A hint: This woman is an Oscar-winning actress who has played an Oscar-winning actress.
"Jig's up: I hear GOLDIE HAWN is in serious talks to play Amy Schumer's mom. It'd be Goldie's first screen role in almost 15 years! (sic)."
The Wrap later confirmed that Goldie is in talks for the role.
This will be Amy's follow-up to her critically acclaimed comedy 'Trainwreck'.
The movie is based on a script by Katie Dippold and follows a family vacation gone wrong.

Khloe Kardashian branching out

Khloe Kardashian prefers interviewing strangers than her family.
The 31-year-old star has had sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner on her new chat show 'Kocktails With Khloe' but admitted she thinks she is a better host when interviewing people she doesn't know.
She said: "I operate better when the guests are strangers and not a part of my family. With new people I'm not as relaxed and it's a tighter ship and I get the show going a little better.
"I thought it would be the other way around, and that's why I wanted my family on in the earlier episodes, while I got comfortable. I didn't have my family on in the episodes that haven't aired yet, and they're just fantastic. It's nothing against my family, I'm just so comfortable that I kind of let them do their thing and I don't really take control as much, which is so interesting to me."
Although she prefers not to interview them, Khloe insisted she loves working with her family but is enjoying branching out on her own.
She explained to Forbes.com: "I'm so close with all of my sisters and my family, and we've always taken comfort in working together as a group. We're very strong believers in the idea that everyone can get to the finish line. We think that two hands are better than one and three are better than two. But, with that being said, I think there are also niches for each one of my sisters where we have our strong points."

Beyonce rejected ‘awful’ Chris Martin song

Beyoncé once rejected a song Chris Martin wrote for her because it was "awful".
The 'Formation' singer and the Coldplay frontman are good friends and Beyoncé recently collaborated with the group on the single 'Hymn For The Weekend' but Chris admitted that when he presented Beyoncé with a song he penned for her, she was brutally honest about it.
Speaking about her reaction to the track called 'Hook Up', he said: "She turned it down in the sweetest possible way: She told me, 'I really like you - but this is awful.'"
Chris also revealed that he and Gwyneth Paltrow - who split in 2014 - have a "wonderful separation-divorce" and are still very close.
He said: "I have a very wonderful separation-divorce. It's a divorce - but it's a weird one. I don't think about that word very often. I don't see it that way. I see it as more like you meet someone, you have some time together and things just move through."
Meanwhile, Chris also revealed he loves the 'Rocky' movies and takes diet inspiration from the fictional boxer.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: "Rocky IV has the most awesome training sequence of all time. I think it triggers the young boy in me who saw it and was like, 'Wow - if you wanna do something, just lift logs!' If Rocky eats it, I do, too."

Kerry Katona’s high sex drive

Katie Price tried to get a date for Kerry Katona by revealing the star's "high sex drive".
The close pals both appeared on the TV show 'Loose Women' where Katie attempted to get a Valentine's Day (14.02.16) date for thrice-married Kerry by making the extremely personal revelation.
She said: "There is something I want you to know about Kerry. This woman has a very high sex drive. I don't want any guys out there thinking just because she has five children that she doesn't. Seriously, she does!"
Kerry added: "It is true. I really do."
And Katie even asked the audience if anyone wanted to date Kerry, volunteering to babysit the Atomic Kitten singer's children if she wanted a night out.
Kerry sarcastically replied: "Thanks Kate. I'll let you know next time I'm having a night out by myself!"
Kerry has daughters Molly, 14, and Lilly-Sue, 13, with ex-husband Brian McFadden; Heidi, eight and Max, seven with second ex Mark Croft; and 22-month-old DJ with estranged husband George Kay, who she split from last year.

Kim Kardashian West compared to Marilyn Monroe

Kim Kardashian West has been compared to Marilyn Monroe.
The 35-year-old reality TV star's best friend Jonathan Cheban has praised Kim as an inspiration and claimed people are obsessed with her.
He told New You magazine: "When you are best friends with the most famous girl in the world, it's like being best friends with Marilyn [Monroe]. People are infatuated and obsessed.
"Everyone wants to be like Kim even if they aren't gorgeous. They will try in their own version to dress like her.
"She's a TV star. This also drives me nuts about people saying, 'Why is she famous?' If you have a TV show for 20 seasons in 180 countries, you would be famous as well, but you do not."
Jonathan was also full of praise for Kim's husband Kanye West, calling the 38-year-old rapper and designer a "genius".
He said: "Kids have been dressing like Kanye for the past four or five years and it's now becoming mainstream to the point where American Apparel and H&M are doing the long shirts and his type of sweatshirts. His sneakers are revolutionary."

Hugh Jackman being treated for skin cancer again

Hugh Jackman is being treated for skin cancer again.
The 'Wolverine' star, who has already had three surgeries on his nose since being diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma in 2013, shared a picture of himself on Instagram with a bandage, indicating that he has had treatment again.
He added a message saying: "An example of what happens when you don't wear sunscreen. Basal Cell. The mildest form of cancer but serious, nonetheless. PLEASE USE SUNSCREEN and get regular check-ups (sic)."
Hugh, who is now required to have his skin checked every three months, also had cancer removed from his shoulder and has been vocal about urging others to get checked.
He previously said: "It's always a bit of a shock just hearing the word 'cancer'. Being an Australian, [skin cancer] is a very common thing. I never wore sunscreen growing up so I was a prime candidate for it.
"I was trying to keep calm about it... basal cell carcinoma is just something you have to deal with. It's cancerous. It will grow. You just have to get it out.
"I go every three months for checkups. It's the new normal for me. My doctor says I'll likely have more and if that's your cross to bear in life, you should be so lucky."

Katie Price can’t remember first wedding

Katie Price can barely remember her wedding to Peter Andre.
The 37-year-old former glamour model admits her nuptials to her first husband - with whom she has children Junior, 10, and Princess, eight - in September 2005 was the "fairytale" she dreamed of but she can't recall all the details because she was in the grip of postnatal depression, having given birth to their son just three months earlier.
Katie - who also wed Alex Reid in 2010 and current husband Kieran Hayler in 2013 - said on 'Loose Women': "I've been married three times and they've all been different kind of marriages. One was abroad, one was in Vegas, and then with Pete it was where 'Downton Abbey' was filmed, Highclere.
"So we got married there but I had really bad postnatal depression and not anyone knew that there so it's sort of, kind of, a blur and I wasn't on antidepressants.
"So I remember bits of the wedding but it's - I wish - no I don't wish I could go back and do it all over again, but you know, it was such an amazing wedding.
"You know, everything about the fairytale that I wanted, but I had postnatal depression."
Katie - who also has son Harvey, 13, with ex-boyfriend Dwight Yorke, and kids Jett, two, and Bunny, 18 months, with Kieran - recently put her wedding dress from her nuptials to Alex up for sale on eBay for £249.99.
The ivory white gown, which features a plunging cleavage and pretty crystal-embellished detailing around the bust, was made by David's Bridal and will fit a small UK size 8.
Alongside a photograph of Katie wearing the dress on her big day, she wrote in the description: "I have built up a massive wardrobe over the last 10 years and now its time to sort through it and sell on my outfits. Most I have worn only once and some I haven't even got round to wearing!"

Lil’ Chris struggled with pressures of fame

Lil' Chris took his own life after struggling with the pressures of fame.
The 'Rock School' star - who was found dead at his home in Lowestoft, East England on March 23 last year - told friends and his mental health worker that life in the spotlight had intensified his feelings of paranoia and anxiety, but he missed the limelight when his career stalled, an inquest in Bury St. Edmunds heard today (08.02.16).
Suffolk coroner Dr Peter Dean said Chris' death was "an intentional act" and "that fame also brought with it difficulties and problems but he had shown a desire to relaunch that career once more."
The inquest heard the 24-year-old star - whose real name was Chris Hardman - had spent the night before his death "chilling" with friends at his flat and the following day, he attempted to contact both his GP and mental health workers with concerns about his medication, but there was no indication he posed an immediate risk to himself.
He was found hanged later that day by his flatmate, A.J. Sutton, who called emergency services, but nothing could be done.
After the hearing took place, Chris' sister Hannah Hardman said her family want to encourage people to speak "openly" about their issues, just like Chris did with his depression.
In a statement, she said: "it was very difficult for him and he spoke very openly about his depression. The one thing we would like to take away from this tragedy is to get people speaking more openly about mental illness. I know that is what he wanted."
Chris' cause of death had previously been confirmed as hanging at a hearing held in 2015.
Chris rose to fame aged just 15 after appearing on 'Rock School' alongside KISS' Gene Simmons.
