Ryan Gosling’s Blade Runner silence

Ryan Gosling has been sworn to secrecy about the ‘Blade Runner’ sequel.
The Hollywood star is set to feature alongside Harrison Ford in the eagerly-awaited sci-fi movie and as its release draws nearer, the 35-year-old actor is finding it increasingly difficult to stay tight-lipped about the project.
He explained: "As an actor to be part of a project like this is unbelievable. It’s unreal, but they are being very secret about the project. They put a chip in my neck. If I say too much, my head will explode!
"What can I tell you about it? I can say that Harrison Ford will be in the film, and it’s an extension of the story. It’s not a remake; it’s a sequel."
But as he makes the follow-up to the 1982 classic, Ryan admitted he feels a weight of expectation on his shoulders, but he is thankful to have Harrison and director Sir Ridley Scott around to offer "expert" advice.
He explained: "There’s certainly a lot of excitement around the project. There’s a huge responsibility as well. I think we all feel that, but we’re not doing it on our own. We’re doing it with Ridley and with Harrison’s help, and they are experts."
Ryan knows the original ‘Blade Runner’ holds a special place in the hearts of sci-fi fans, meaning the new movie has a lot to live up to.
He told SciFiNow magazine: "Growing up, I never really read a lot of science fiction, but I saw a lot of science fiction films – and obviously, ‘Blade Runner’ is a seminal science fiction movie. It really set the bar and is probably one of the most borrowed-from science fiction films, aside from ‘Alien’.
"I don’t remember the first time I saw the movie, but I don’t think I saw it in a theatre. I think I saw it at home on VHS as a kid. I am a huge fan of the film."
