Britain's Prince Harry is thrilled that Foo Fighters will headline the Jaguar Land Rover Invictus Games closing concert.
The band will lead a star-studded line-up including Kaiser Chiefs, Ellie Goulding, Ryan Adams, The Vamps, Rizzle Kicks and James Blunt, when they perform at the event in London on September 14, their first UK gig in some time.
The gig will be held at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London to celebrate Invictus Games, launched by Prince Harry to use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect of those who serve their country.
Prince Harry said: "I am hugely grateful to all the artists and organisers for coming together in September to put on what will be a truly awesome concert. It will be a celebration of everything the competitors will have achieved over the four days of the Invictus Games, not to mention the efforts of the hundreds of other athletes we couldn't fit into the teams this year. And for those who didn't make it back from operations, this is also for you."
Foo Fighters added: "Invictus games, look out...THE FOO FIGHTERS ARE COMING. What a perfect way to finally return to the UK for the first time in years...been waaaay too long! Thanks for having us, it is truly an honour to come play for these incredible men and women. Can't wait to do our thing for you..."
The concert will also include the medal presentations for the inspirational winning competitors. Starting at 5pm, the five-hour multi-artist event will have highlights broadcast by the BBC.

Britain's Prince Harry photobombed a picture of three New Zealand rugby coaches at the Commonwealth Games yesterday (28.07.14).
The 29-year-old royal is seen giving a cheeky thumbs-up and cheesy grin in the background of the snap as Sir Gordon Tietjens, Trevor Shailer and Gary Hermansson pose for the photo while they watch the 800m women's swimming freestyle in Glasgow.
Trevor was so impressed with the photograph that he quickly made it his Facebook profile picture with the caption: "Photo of the day.... A Royal photo bomb by Prince Harry with Titch (Sir Gordon) and Gary Hermansson at the Swimming venue tonight. Thanks to Bev Hari for taking the pic...fun times supporting our athletes at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games!"
Harry's funny photobomb comes just four days after his grandmother Queen Elizabeth, 88, found herself in the background of Australian hockey player Jade Taylor and her teammate Brooke Peris' self-taken snap.
The picture - which Jade, 29, posted on her Twitter account - shows the girls smiling at the camera while the Queen, dressed head to toe in mint green, can be seen grinning at the pair in the background of the shot.
She captioned the image: "Ahhh The Queen photo-bombed our selfie!! #royalty #sheevensmiled #amazing #Glasgow2014 @Hockeyroos @AusComGames(sic)".
Meanwhile, the Commonwealth Games kicked off in Scotland last Wednesday (23.07.14) after the queen officially opened the event at the Celtic Park stadium.

The 29-year-old royal enjoyed a fun-filled few days at the Secret Garden Party in Cambridgeshire, which has been dubbed Britain's poshest music festival and at one stage whipped off his top while he enjoyed the festivities.
In pictures obtained by website EntertainmentWise , Harry is seen removing his grey top to show off his sculpted physique.
While he drew attention by taking off his long-sleeved T-shirt, the royal attempted to go incognito in a straw hat and sunglasses.
Meanwhile, The Sun newspaper has claimed that Harry was spotted kissing 25-year-old charity worker Camilla Thurlow, during a night out in London last week.
However, Harry - who split from socialite Cressida Bonas a few months ago - is reportedly not looking for a serious relationship.
A source told The Sun: "They looked very cosy and kissed more than once. But they are not serious in any way. They're just two young people having a good time... It's probably unlikely they will see each other again - they are both very busy."

The 12-month-old royal has been having weekly lessons with his mother the Duchess of Cambridge, 31, in the historic pool at Buckingham Palace, London.
An insider told the MailOnline: "The Duchess brings him up to the palace every week now."
The pool, located at the back of the Palace, was converted from a conservatory in 1938 and was initially used by Prince Charles, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Princess Anne when they were children.
The late Princess Diana - who was married to Prince Charles from 1981 until 1996 - used the pool regularly as part of her fitness routine and then taught her sons Prince William and Prince Harry how to swim in it.
William, who married Duchess Catherine in 2011, previously admitted he hoped his son would develop a passion for scuba diving in the future.
Speaking as the new president of the British Sub-Aqua Club, he said: "I hope my son George will also learn with the club but, at the moment, bath time is quite painful. But, as he gets older, I imagine donning a mask and snorkel might calm him down."
