BTS leave fans in tears as emotional I Need U moment steals the show

BTS launched their ARIRANG world tour with an opening night that left the members — and the thousands watching — overwhelmed with emotion.

One of the evening’s standout moments came when the group unexpectedly slipped I Need U into the setlist, the 2015 hit that first pushed them toward global recognition.

The second the opening notes hit, the Goyang Stadium erupted, with fans unleashing one of the loudest reactions of the entire concert.

The emotional intensity only deepened as the show continued.

One by one, the members addressed the crowd on Thursday night (09.04.26), sharing heartfelt messages about what it means to be reunited on stage again.

Jimin told fans: “The past years were such a pain, not being able to see you.”

RM emphasised the importance of their full lineup, saying: “More than anything, having all seven of us together is what matters most.”

Jin later reflected on the night in a Weverse post, writing that performing together again made him feel “back home”.

He added a warm message to fans: “I hope to see you all together next time! Then let’s meet on Saturday and jump together! Get home safely and good night everyone.”

The concert leaned heavily on their chart‑topping ARIRANG album, but the set also wove in fan‑favourite classics like Fake Love and global smash Dynamite, sparking huge sing‑alongs throughout the venue.

The tour continues with two more shows at Goyang Stadium before the group heads to Tokyo.

From there, the ARIRANG trek will run through March next year, taking BTS across North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia and the rest of Asia.
