Donna Air is "thrilled" that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting another baby.
The 34-year-old actress - who has been romantically linked to Catherine's brother James Middleton - is overjoyed for the couple, who got married in 2011, after they announced the happy news earlier this week.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, Donna gushed: "I think the whole nation is thrilled."
William and Catherine, who already have 14-month-old son Prince George together, made the announcement on Monday (08.09.14) after the brunette beauty was forced to pull out of her visit to Oxford University because she was suffering severe morning sickness.
Duchess Catherine also had to miss the opening ceremony and the first day of the Invictus Games on Wednesday (10.09.14) and Thursday (11.09.14) because she was still battling the pregnancy symptom.
She is currently being cared for by doctors at Kensington Palace in London but it is not yet known whether she'll be able to carry out her first official solo overseas tour to Malta on September 20.
A spokesperson for the palace said in a statement yesterday: "The Duchess's attendance on the forthcoming visit to Malta will be kept under review and a decision taken closer to the time."

Britain's Prince Harry was left "shocked" after a police outrider escorting him to the Invictus Games was injured in a high-speed crash yesterday (11.09.14).
The 29-year-old royal looked on in disbelief as his bodyguards treated the police officer, who was thrown 30ft down the road, and the unconscious taxi driver - who had to be cut from his car by the fire service - after they collided on Prince Albert Road in London.
An eye witness told the Daily Mail newspaper: "I could see Prince Harry clearly in the back of the car with his head in his hands. He looked really distressed and was constantly looking back over his shoulder to see what was happening. It was clear that for security reasons he had to stay in the car."
The motorcyclist from the Special Escort Group and the driver of the Toyota Prius were rushed to hospital, but were later said to be in a "stable" condition.
Harry's convoy waited at the scene for the emergency services to arrive before continuing their journey to the competition at Lee Valley Park in north London.
A spokesman for Harry said last night: "The prince was obviously very concerned and wanted to make sure the men were OK. He is relieved to hear they are both in a stable condition."
The Metropolitan Police has begun an investigation into the accident, which occurred at around 9.40am.

Britain's Prince Harry hosted a party in celebration of the Invictus Games yesterday (10.09.14).
The 29-year-old royal, who turns 30 next week, threw a bash to welcome the wounded servicemen and women to the UK ahead of the opening ceremony of the four-day international sporting event in London.
The flame-haired hunk thanked the competitors from the 13 different countries for embracing the games "so enthusiastically," while the US' President Barack Obama praised them for their determination.
He said in a pre-recorded message: "I know it's going to be a fiercely competitive few days but the truth is that everyone of you in these games, every service member and veteran, has already earned our highest admiration and our deepest gratitude.

More than 400 competitors from Afghanistan, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Italy, Georgia, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the US and the UK, will compete in nine adaptive sports at the Olympic Park and Lee Valley Athletics Centre in London until Sunday 14.

Britain's Princess Anne will tour Canada in November.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced the news yesterday (10.09.14) and said he was "delighted" that the 64-year-old royal had accepted the invitation to visit the North American country later this year.
He said in a statement: "It is entirely fitting that a member of the Royal Family should be present as we mark a number of important historical milestones in the lead up to the 150th anniversary of Canada's Confederation in 2017.
"We are honoured that Her Royal Highness will be joining us to celebrate moments that have defined our country and instilled a real sense of identity and pride."
It is believed the princess - the daughter of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip - will tour the Ottawa region, but the exact details and schedule of trip will be released nearer the time.
Anne previously visited Canada in 2013 but her last official tour of the country was in 1991.
Meanwhile, Anne is due to carry out a four-day visit to Ethiopia and Tanzania and despite concerns about the spread of the deadly Ebola virus, she has vowed to make the engagement later this month.

Britain's Prince Harry opened the Invictus Games in London last night (10.09.14).
The 29-year-old hunk attended the opening ceremony alongside his brother Prince William, father Prince Charles and step-mother Duchess Camilla as the games, which will see injured service men and women from 13 countries compete against one another over four days, officially kicked off yesterday in the capital.
He told the crowd: "Over the next four days we will see some truly remarkable achievements.
"For some of those taking part this will be a stepping stone to elite sport. But for others, it will mark the end of a chapter in their recovery and the beginning of a new one. Either way, you can be sure that everyone who takes part on the track, pool or field of play will be giving it their all. And I have no doubt that lives will be changed this weekend."
In a recorded message, the US' First Lady Michelle Obama, said: "Some of the most inspiring moments I have had as First Lady have been when I have met with wounded warriors like so many of you.
"You tell me how you are not just going to recover, but you are going to thrive. While I can't hide that I hope Team USA brings home a few golds, I want you all to know how proud my husband and I are of you and how humbled we are by your example".
The ceremony started with a shortened version of 'God Save the Queen', which was followed by a flypast by the Red Arrows, before Idris Elba read out the poem 'Invictus' by Ernest Henley.
There was also a performance by three singers from the Armed Forces, who sang the 'Invictus Anthem', which was written by Coldplay's Chris Martin.

David Beckham urged Prince William to "get some sleep" ahead of having a second child to look after.
The 39-year-old former footballer - who has sons Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12 and Cruz, nine, as well as three-year-old daughter Harper with his wife Victoria Beckham - dished out some friendly advice to the royal and his pregnant wife, Duchess Catherine, who is expecting the couple's second child.
When asked on ITV's morning show 'Lorraine' if he had any advice for William, David said: "Get some sleep because jumping from one child to two is a big step. Even though I thought jumping from two to three was bigger.
"But I'm so happy for them both because they're such great parents. To be great parents and have the roles that they have is incredible. I'm just happy they're going to have another one running around."
Clarence House confirmed the news on Monday (08.09.14) that Catherine is expecting a little brother or sister for the couple's 13-month-old son Prince George.
A message on the Twitter account for the royal household read: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child."
Following the announcement, William and Catherine, who are both 32, might like to celebrate with a 'babymoon' at some of the pregnancy-friendly destinations as suggested by HouseTrip, one of the world's largest holiday home rental websites.
The site recommends a trip to Paris for the expecting couple, who could enjoy the views from the top of the Eiffel Tower or go shopping along the Champs Elysee.
Those suffering from morning sickness, such as Catherine - who is suffering from the same severe morning sickness she had while pregnant with George - don't have to worry about flying as babymooners can easily access the French capital via Eurostar. For more information, visit www.housetrip.com.

Britain's Prince Harry "is starting to feel old."
The 29-year-old royal, who is fourth-in-line to the throne, turns 30 next Monday (15.09.14), but believes regardless of his age he'll always remain "young at heart".
Speaking at a curtain-raiser for the Invictus Games in Gaydon, Warwickshire, yesterday (09.09.14), he said: "I'm slowly starting to feel old... I'm actually quite old. I don't feel too old, I think I am always young at heart."
However, the flame-haired hunk believes preparing for the Invictus Games, which will see wounded, sick and injured former service men and women compete against one another, has helped him stay young.
He explained: "Surrounding myself with these guys and girls does keep me young. They're sharp-witted and their sense of humour is on it."
The prince has been busy preparing for the sporting competition, which aims to pave a pathway back into employment for the service men and women, for many months and admits he's suffered lack of sleep because of it.
He said: "I have had some sleepless nights, I think all of us have.
There's so many moving parts to this that everything isn't just going to fall into place. Luckily, things have fallen into place quicker than if I wasn't involved."
The Invictus Games kicks off at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London on September 10 and wraps up on September 14.

Britain's Prince Charles wants to have a granddaughter.
The 65-year-old royal is looking forward to becoming a grandfather again after his son Prince William and wife Duchess Catherine - who already have 14-month-old son Prince George - announced earlier this week that they're expecting their second child together, but hopes the little one will be a baby girl.
Speaking to well-wishers in Bermondsey, South London, yesterday (09.09.14), he said of the news: "It's wonderful. I'm happy I'm going to be a grandfather again. I'm looking forward to it - but I hope it will be a girl this time."
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who got married in 2011, were forced to announce the pregnancy on Monday (08.09.14) after Catherine - who was formerly known as Kate Middleton - was forced to pull out of a visit to Oxford University as she was suffering from severe morning sickness.
The brunette beauty is currently being cared for by doctors at Kensington Palace in London and her brother-in-law Prince Harry is hopeful that she'll overcome the sickness quickly so that she can start to enjoy the pregnancy.
He said previously: "I hope my sister-in-law gets better, and gets better soon. And the two of them have the opportunity to go through the whole process again in a little bit of peace and quiet.
"Last time I saw her, she was feeling OK, feeling pretty poorly but I think that's to be suspected. Luckily I'm not a woman so I don't have to go through that."
