Britain's Prince Charles paid a "private visit" to Hatfield House on Tuesday (26.05.15).
The 66-year-old royal met with Lord Salisbury, hereditary owner of the Jacobean mansion, to visit the iconic landmark in Hatfield, England, where he looked at some of the recent redevelopments of the property.
An estate spokesman said: "The Prince of Wales made a private visit to the Marquess and Marchioness of Salisbury at Hatfield House on Tuesday.
"During his visit he undertook a brief tour of Old Hatfield to discuss the future regeneration plans for Salisbury Square and to see some recent developments undertaken by the estate.
"The Prince of Wales also met with members of the University of Hertfordshire from the Centre for Sustainable Communities."
Meanwhile, the prince recently revealed himself to be thrilled by the birth of his granddaughter Princess Charlotte, admitting he hopes she'll care for him when he's "very old".
Speaking earlier this month at his first public appearance since the birth of his second grandchild, the prince joked: "I was hoping for a grand-daughter - someone to look after me when I am very old."

Members of Britain's royal family have been turned into life-size balloon models.
Joanne Anderson spent 16 hours blowing up the balloons with helium and tying them together to create life-like versions of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as their children, 22-month-old Prince George and three-week-old Princess Charlotte.
The 42-year-old artist said: "I had the idea of creating Will and Kate and the royal baby when she was pregnant and of course we couldn't forget little George.
"I think they're a really nice memento. People do paintings and make china but I don't think anyone's ever created them out of balloons."
Joanne said she was determined to ensure that her designs matched the personalities of each of the royals.
She explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I wanted Kate to look bright and warm, just like her personality.
"William and George looked so iconic in the outfits they wore when they went to visit baby Charlotte and so I knew straight away what I would dress them in."
Joanne became a balloon artist four years ago, after getting her inspiration from her daughter D'arcy's birthday party.
She said: "I started out with a balloon dog and then I bought books and learned new tips online as to how to make the sculptures bigger and better."

Cressida Bonas has to be "careful" of people trying to exploit her association with Britain's Prince Harry.
The 26-year-old actress - who stars alongside Cara Delevingne and Alicia Vikander in the upcoming period drama 'Tulip Fever' - admitted she has to be cautious around people who are only interested in her because she used to date the 30-year-old prince.
She confessed: "I do have to be careful. But I have good intuition and great friends. They wouldn't let me make such mistakes."
Meanwhile, Cressida also revealed she feels more confident as an actress than she is in everyday social scenarios.
She told W magazine: "I'm much more confident performing than I am in social situations."
Earlier this week, Prince Harry was rumoured to have reunited with another of his ex-girlfriends, Chelsy Davy.
Speculation suggested the pair are planing to spend more time together over the coming months, with Harry set to travel to South Africa, where her father Charles hails from.
A source said: "Chelsy has always been the one for Harry. They might have been apart for a while, but they're a natural match and they've enjoyed seeing each other again. They're back on and seeing what happens.
"The ball is very much in Chelsy's court. She knows what life with him entails, but they've been through so much together. Announcing that he is ready to settle down publicly is his way of showing her he's serious."

Britain's Zara Phillips has reportedly been named in the will of her aunt Sarah Staples.
The 34-year-old royal, who has a 17-month-old daughter Mia with her husband Mike Tindall, stands to inherit a share of the £722,000 estate following Sarah's sudden death in December at the age of 63, the Daily Mail newspaper reports.
Sarah did not have any children of her own and was the only sister of Zara's father, Captain Mark Phillips.
The news comes after Mike insisted he and his wife live quite "separate" lives from the rest of the Royal Family, saying it's a "lie" that they're told what to do and how to behave by their relatives.
The former England rugby star - who met his wife during the 2003 World Cup - also revealed that they're financially independent from their affluent family.
The 36-year-old retired sportsman, who appeared on the Channel 4 reality TV show 'The Jump' earlier this year, shared: "They're separate from us; we run our own life.
"That [how his involvement will reflect on the royals] would always come up, yes, of course, but ultimately it's what we want to do first."

The Middleton family has reportedly assumed a central role in the raising of Britain's Princess Charlotte.
The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to her second child with Prince William earlier this month and since then, Carole Middleton - the mother of the Duchess - has been a very supportive figure, the Daily Beast reports.
The situation mirrors the birth of the Duke and Duchess' first baby, Prince George, when the Middletons provided a strong support network for the couple and their newborn child.
Elsewhere, Prince Harry met his niece Princess Charlotte for the first time last week, having been away at military training in Australia.
The prince also recently revealed he'd be happy to see both Prince George and Princess Charlotte pursue a career in the military.
He admitted: "I would definitely encourage [Prince] George, and Charlotte if she wants to, to have some sort of involvement in the Armed Forces, guaranteed.
"And I know that [the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge] would probably echo that as well, depending on the situation for them in those years to come.
"It's done no harm, just good, for me, and I know it's the same for William. It's hard to say anything else on that because, as a parent, it's your choice.
"As an uncle, you know, I would say enjoy the role, because at first it's just pressure, pressure, pressure.
"Just enjoy it and make the most of it. If you're going to be doing it and you're having an effect on so many people then, if you smile, they're smiling - and what's the point of doing such a unique job without enjoying it?"

Britain's Prince William is "genuinely excited" to watch the FA Cup Final on Saturday (30.05.15), according to soccer legend Gary Lineker.
The 54-year-old former England star and current sports broadcaster has interviewed the prince for the BBC's 'Match of the Day' show and has revealed the 32-year-old royal cannot wait for the match which will see the royal's favourite team Aston Villa take on Arsenal at Wembley Stadium for the historic trophy.
Linekar - who represented the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona before making the move into broadcasting - said: "It was fascinating to spend some time with the Duke of Cambridge and hear more about his passion for the game.
"He is genuinely excited about the Cup Final and it's great that we can showcase his enthusiasm for Villa to the 'Match of the Day' audience."
Prince William has served as President of England's Football Association since May 2006 and during a recent visit to the National Football Centre in Staffordshire, he admitted to feeling anxious about the outcome of the showpiece event at Wembley.
He said: "It's either going to be a very good day for me, or a very bad day."

Britain's Prince Harry missed "an open goal" during a charity polo match on Sunday afternoon (24.05.15).
The 30-year-old royal - who's a big fan of the sport - took to the field at Cirencester Park Polo Club in Gloucestershire and as the game reached its conclusion, Prince Harry failed to score a critical chance.
One seasoned onlooker told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "There were two shots that Harry missed. The second one was a sitting target, it was almost an open goal.
"They stood a chance of pulling level so they could have done with scoring that one. It went wide and he screamed out in anger and frustration - 'arghhh'.
"The one in the first chukka came close. It was a slightly harder one and he took it in good stead. He rode away and said something."
Meanwhile, 20-year-old student Michael Evett said: "We heard Prince Harry was playing so we thought we'd go down and have a look. He was good at some points but he missed two open goals. One was at the beginning and the one right at the end would have equalised the game.
"He was chasing it down the pitch against a player from the other team. Then at the end he shot and missed."

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly set to return to her royal duties five weeks after giving birth.
The 33-year-old royal - who gave birth to her second child, Princess Charlotte, earlier this month - is set to attend Queen Elizabeth's birthday parade on June 13, at the request of the 89-year-old monarch.
A source told US OK! magazine: "She thinks a month is more than enough time for Kate to take off before she should return to performing her royal duties.
"It's a huge public event, an incredible pageant carried out by the Queen's personal troops. Kate will be on show for it, dressed up in a smart outfit, with the eyes of the world on her."
This comes shortly after the Duke of Cambridge revealed his daughter has been giving him sleepless nights.
The news emerged when he visited the England Women's football team at St George's Park in Staffordshire, where he met captain Steph Houghton, who said: "All the girls were asking how Princess Charlotte is and Prince George and whether they keep him up all night ... He was saying he's obviously really enjoying being a father and Princess Charlotte is actually keeping him up - and probably why his eyes are looking a little bit tired."
