Britain's Prince Charles hosted a star-studded charity gala in London on Wednesday (09.03.16).
The royal welcomed guests including 'Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonnveille, Joseph Fiennes, Dame Harriet Walter, Julian Ovenden, Joe Stilgoe and Miranda Raison to St James' Palace to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Children and the Arts.
A number of actors performed a series of sketches in celebration of William Shakespeare, on the 400th anniversary of his death, at the charity event.
Charles founded the organisation, which is "committed to ensuring that all children are inspired by the arts", after a visit to a school in Birmingham, where pupils were studying Shakespeare's 'Romeo And Juliet'.
In his foreword to the gala's programme, Charles said: "I am so pleased that Children and the Arts has gone on to be such a success, enriching the lives of so many disadvantaged young people who would otherwise simply miss out.
"As Shakespeare was the inspiration for this whole enterprise, it is particularly fitting that tonight's event gives us the ideal opportunity to celebrate both the work of our greatest ever playwright and the activity of a charity dedicated to the vital task of bringing the very best of the arts to disadvantaged children throughout the UK."

Britain's Prince William has been praised for his work in tackling the stigma of suicide.
The royal and his wife Duchess Catherine have been working with mental health charities and campaigner Jonny Benjamin, who came close to taking his own life in the past, is happy that the couple are working to raise awareness.
He told PEOPLE: "To have a young royal who's willing to really take a look at this taboo is hopefully going to break it!
"It's an area people don't like to discuss. Tomorrow is for them to explore and hear our experiences and what we are doing to raise awareness as we try and engage people in this area.
"Having their support will bring that message to an even wider audience."
Jonny is now a patron of Rethink Mental Illness and made a film 'The Stranger on a Bridge', about the man who saved his life by talking him out of throwing himself off a bridge, which will be shown at Kensington Palace.
He said: "You are going to know someone who has mental health issues, and unfortunately, a lot of people do hide it. If people like Kate and William can address these issues, the less people will have to hide and the more open and unashamed they will be."

Queen Elizabeth is impressed with Duchess Camilla's "unshowy" style.
Although the monarch was initially unhappy with Camilla's relationship with the heir-to-the-throne Prince Charles after their affair was revealed in the early Nineties, over the years she has come to be extremely fond of her now daughter-in-law.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "'The Queen has been impressed with Camilla's unshowy way of going about her duties, not unlike the Queen herself. Camilla doesn't like grand appearances for their own sake and doesn't appear to be competitive like the rest of the family -- the Queen likes that."
And those close to the Queen say she is now quite the fan of her daughter-in-law.
Viscountess Bangor said: "She likes Camilla. But she did think the way the affair was conducted was irresponsible."
While Lady Anne Glenconner added: "The Duchess is wonderful with Prince Charles and makes him very, very happy. They're suited.
"So many people have first marriages and somehow people don't suit each other or difficulties come up, and quite often the second marriage works very well.
"The Queen realised that he did need somebody and the Duchess is wonderful with him and he's so happy, and the Queen must be very happy about this."

Britain's Queen Elizabeth once helped Damian Lewis win at Ascot.
The 89-year-old monarch - who owns a number of racehorses - met the 'Homeland' actor in 2013 when he asked her for horseracing tips and she provided him with a winner.
Damian's wife Helen McCrory said: "The last time we were lucky enough to meet Her Majesty was actually the evening she received her BAFTA - something that both of us are still waiting for. And she very kindly gave us a tip for Ascot which came up."
Damian added: "I asked for the Grand National because that's the only time we're there and she said 'No, no, no, that's miles away - you need tips for Royal Ascot first.' She gave me a tip for Royal Ascot and it came with a royal seal."
Queen Elizabeth was awarded an honorary BAFTA in 2013 at Windsor Castle while actors Damian and Helen are both ambassadors for her son Prince Charles' Prince's Trust charity.
Meanwhile, this year's Ascot Gold Cup will be renamed to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's birthday.
The royal will turn 90 on April 21 and to mark the milestone event, the prestigious prize for the two-and-a-half mile horse race on June 16 will now be called the 'Gold Cup in Honor of The Queen's 90th birthday'.
The Queen's representative at Ascot, Johnny Weatherby, said: "We are delighted to be celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday in the race title of the Gold Cup.
"The Gold Cup, recently won of course by the Queen herself, is the historic centerpiece of Royal Ascot, and is very much the race which resonates most with the public."

On March 20, he will meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Nepal's first female President, at the Presidential Palace in Kathmandu.
The following day he is expected to visit areas devastated by the earthquake, including the Golden Temple, from where the local response to natural disaster was coordinated.
He will also visit a temporary camp for families who lost their homes in the earthquakes and speak to survivors.
A trip to Bardia National Park, rafting and hiking in the foothills of the Himalayas are also on the agenda.

Prince Philip's Aston Martin is up for sale.
The royal's custom made 1950s Lagonda MK1 convertible - worth approximately £450,000 - was Philip's personal motor for seven years and is just one of 20 MK1s made.
Philip's car is being auctioned by H&H Classicas and sales manager Damian Jones called the car "part of our history".
He added: "The accompanying paperwork beggars belief. There is an amusing story about Prince Phillip driving Her Majesty through London in this car and being held up by a policeman on point duty directing traffic. When the policeman saw who was in the Lagonda he did a double take and swiftly waved them on."
Philip had the car modified with an extra vanity mirror, believed to be for Queen Elizabeth to adjust her hat.
It also contained a radio telephone, which was allocated its own radio frequency by the Admiralty, and which Philip used to call his son Prince Charles.
The car will go to auction in April at the Imperial War Museum Duxford, Cambridgeshire.

Britain's Prince Harry was spotted crowd surfing at a theatre experience over the weekend.
The 31-year-old royal attended a performance of the interactive 'You Me Bum Bum Train' show in London where the audience take part in a series of different scenes.
According to the Daily Mail, the show "ends up in a basement bar with a rock band playing loud music, which is where the Queen's grandson ended up crowd surfing".
A source said: "We are used to having celebrities come along - but we've never had a prince as a passenger before.
"I can't say much more because everybody has been sworn to secrecy."
Another audience member - or "passenger" as they are called - told London's Evening Standard: "I saw him having a drink in the bar afterwards and he seemed to be having a good time. One of the guys who was with him must have been his bodyguard."
And a Twitter user wrote: "Can't believe my family were raving/crowd surfing with prince Harry last night (sic)."
Harry is not the first famous face to attend the show, with Benedict Cumberbatch, David Tennant, Dominic West, Stephen Fry and Jude Law all previously checking it out.

Sarah Ferguson has thrown herself into her charity work following her recent love split.
The 56-year-old former wife of Britain's Prince Andrew was said to be devastated after her break-up from internet entrepreneur Manuel Fernandez but Sarah was spotted in Mexico City ahead of the Starlite charity gala, where she will be feted for her philanthropy.
She appeared to be in high spirits as she chatted with actor Antonio Banderas at the Starlite gala press conference.
A spokesman for Sarah responded to questions about Manuel by telling the Daily Mail: "They've always just been friends and continue to be so."
Meanwhile, in a recent interview the mother-of-two admitted that dating in the public eye has not always been easy.
She said: "I think any man who took me out would have to take on an awful lot. There's the public scrutiny, a mad family - the Fergusons, I mean, not the other family - and two granddaughters of Her Majesty."
Sarah recently moved out of the home she shared with her ex-husband Prince Andrew and into a ski chalet in Switzerland which they purchased together.
A spokesman said: "She will be spending the majority of her time in Switzerland.
"She is now very much an independent unit with a lot of professional commitments."
