Princess Charlotte’s christening details announced

Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will hold Princess Charlotte’s christening at the weekend.

Prince William and Kate Middleton, along with Prince George and Charlotte, will appear in public for the first time as a family of four on Sunday (05.07.15) at the ceremony, set to take place in Norfolk, and be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev Justin Welby, who will also give an address.

The public will be allowed into the paddock outside the church to get a glimpse of the royal family, something that William and Kate are "delighted" about.

According to the Mail Online, a spokesman at Kensington Palace said: "While the service inside the church will be private, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be pleased to welcome well-wishers into the paddock outside the church.

"The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the warm wishes they have received since Princess Charlotte’s birth – many of them from local people in Norfolk – and are delighted the paddock can be opened on the day of the christening."

Guests at the christening will include the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Middleton family, as well as Charlotte’s royal grandparents, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and her aunt and uncle Pippa and James Middleton. However, Prince Harry won’t be in attendance, as he’s in Africa working as a wildlife ranger.
