Kelis thinks women write better music when they're pregnant.
The 34-year-old singer, who has four-year-old son Knight with ex-husband Nas, claims her last album 'Flesh Tone' in 2010 was one of her best records because she was expecting her first child when she recorded it.
She said: "For me, my last album was the brightest, just because I was pregnant when I recorded it and that's a really powerful time for a woman artist. If I think about female artists in the past 15 to 20 years that I love, I look at their body of work and I'm like, 'Oh, she was pregnant then!' It makes so much sense. And 'Flesh Tone' definitely signifies that. It's about life, it's a very robust record."
The 'Milkshake' hitmaker will release her next record, 'Food', on April 18, and insists it's "different" from her previous albums because she's in a more settled place.
She told NME magazine: "I'm very content, and as much as I didn't want to acknowledge that that would happen four or five years ago, being a mother totally has made that happen."
Johnny Depp changes his look for film roles because he doesn't want to play it "safe".
The Hollywood icon is famed for his radical character transformations - namely as eccentric swashbuckler Captain Jack Sparrow in 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and Native American Tonto in 'The Lone Ranger' - and claims his dedication stems from not wanting to "bore" the audience to death.
He said: "I love the idea of changing my look. I think one owes it to the audience, to go out there and give them something different each time, so as not to bore them to death.
"And I always felt that if you're not trying something different each time out of the gate, you're being safe, and you don't ever want to find that place of safety. I like that, each time, before I even go in front of the cameras, the studio's reaction will be fear."
The 50-year-old actor also revealed his physical transformations help him overcome his shyness when it comes to promoting his films.
Johnny admitted in a conversation with Iggy Pop for Interview magazine: "I've always enjoyed hiding behind these characters. It's a strange thing, you're more comfortable as a character than you are in life.
"I could stand up in front of, it doesn't matter how many people, as a character. But if I had to do it as myself and give a speech, I would be liquid."
Rochelle Humes dresses more modestly now she is a mother.
The Saturdays singer and her husband Marvin Humes are parents to 10-month-old Alaia-Mai and she admits to being more "choosy" these days.
Asked how parenthood has changed her, she said "I'm definitely more choosy. There's an instinct that always flicks on. I'm like, 'No Rochelle, that dress needs to be a bit longer.' "
As well as Rochelle, her bandmates Una Foden and Frankie Sandford also have children, and the 25-year-old beauty thinks they set a good example as working mothers.
She said: "I think working mums are good role models - but it's definitely a juggling act."
Rochelle's husband is a presenter on 'The Voice UK' and she is happy he doesn't get too emotional with the contestants, despite his co-host Emma Willis recently admitting the show often leaves her in tears.
Rochelle said: "If he cried at 'The Voice',I'd be like, 'You need to man up.' I should've said yes [he does cry] to stitch him up..."
Simon Cowell has had a burst in creativity since the birth of his son.
The music mogul welcomed his first child Eric with girlfriend Lauren Silverman into the world in February and he's confessed that slowing down on the business front is the last thing on his mind.
He said: "I'm not going to calm down with work! I've got the bug again and I just want to get things going with 'The X Factor'.
"I'm excited about work again, which is a great feeling. Eric has been a big part of that. Having a child gives you perspective and it sparks new ideas and creativity."
The 54-year-old 'X Factor' boss - who will return as a judge on the UK talent show later this year - has also admitted that he hasn't been losing any sleep since the birth of his son as he has great help.
He added: "I'm coping really well. We've got a great baby nurse. Eric is a sweetheart and he's no trouble at all. He's not been keeping me up at night. He's honestly been as good as gold. I feel more relaxed since becoming a father. He's definitely relaxed me."
Kings of Leon want more female fans to strip at their shows.
The 'Sex on Fire' hitmakers think seeing audience members flash the flesh adds "variety" to their performances, and while they don't mind either gender taking off their clothes, they admit they would prefer to see women "show a little skin".
Caleb Followill said: "We're up there pouring our hearts out and if someone wants to show us a little skin, then that will only add a little variety to our show. So anyone out there, preferably of the female variety... but if anyone wants to hang a little dong, we'll look into that too."
The US rockers think nudity at their shows make them more exciting because the band themselves are all "boring and married".
Jared Followill told Q magazine: "We are all married, all very faithful and kinda boring now, so it wouldn't hurt to see a little nudity at a concert, but it never happens.
"I think the last nudity was the Birmingham sausage [a male streaker at a British show last year]. It did spice up the show a little bit."
Spencer Matthews believes his relationship dramas have been "great" for 'Made In Chelsea'.
The reality TV star says he "regrets" the way he has treated some of his former lovers, but insists he wouldn't change any of his past conduct.
He said: "I regret treating certain people that I care about a certain way and them having to suffer, but it's done great things for the show. It started out fluffy and got progressively darker.
"Our show is really unique in its genre. I wouldn't change anything - it would be boring if everyone was nice."
Spencer also insisted he doesn't deliberately go out to cultivate a particular image.
Asked if his 'bad boy' persona will re-emerge in the new series of the show, he said: "Only if I have a reason to. I'm never actively good or bad. I get on with Stevie [Johnson], Jamie [Laing], [Oliver] Proudlock and Sam [Cussins], so there's no need for me to be an a***hole."
Despite previously clashing with Andy Jordan over Louise Thompson, Spencer insisted they no longer have a problem.
He told OK! magazine: "At the start of this series, Andy and I no longer have a rivalry. Take from that what you will."
Jenna Fischer isn't prepared for her baby's birth.
The 40-year-old actress and her husband Lee Kirk, who married in 2010, are "getting close" to welcoming their second child into the world, but the brunette beauty is yet to set up the tiny tot's nursery and fill it with supplies.
She said: "There's nothing done. My mum and I got all the nursery supplies in order, so we have the appropriate number of onesies and diapers and a Diaper Genie -- but there's no décor. I just ordered a chair for my nursery and I'm very concerned that the baby is going to get here before the chair arrives."
Meanwhile, the star has been busy trying to prepare her two-year-old son Weston Lee for the upcoming arrival.
She explained: "He likes to talk a lot about what big boys can do and babies can't. Like, big boys can eat cupcakes and walk and talk, but little babies just sleep and eat and poop. We've been reinforcing the differences between a baby and a big boy so he can be excited about eating the cupcakes -- which he is."
Jenna and Lee have also been showing Weston cute photographs of when he was a baby.
She told People.com: "My big pregnancy craving with him was Menchie's frozen yogurt and there is a Menchie's across the street from where I delivered. After he was born, there is a picture of me eating Menchie's [and] holding him.
"We showed him the picture ... and I said, 'Mummy has to go to the hospital to get the baby out and you can come visit me.' He said, 'After the baby is out, Mummy gets to eat Menchie's.' I said, 'That's right ... do you want to come to the hospital and have Menchie's with me?'
"And he said, 'yes!'"
Selena Gomez partied with Kendall and Kylie Jenner last night (04.04.14).
The 21-year-old singer joined the siblings at the 1Oak in Los Angeles for a star-studded bash thrown by Sean 'Diddy' Combs to mark his son Christian's 16th birthday.
The trio arrived, along with Khloe Kardashian, 29, at the event, dressed in an all-black attire, before Selena and Kylie, 16, took to their social networking sites to document the festivities with a number of cute snaps.
The 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star shared a photograph on Instagram of her cuddling up to Selena in the middle of the dance floor, while Kendall, 18, made a pouty impression behind them.
The fashion designer then posted a snap of her and the actress lying on a flower arrangement on the floor, while the pair held roses to their noses.
She accompanied the picture with the caption: "Selena&Roses (sic)".
Selena - who has been in an on/off relationship with Justin Bieber - also shared the same picture on her Instagram account but, instead, labelled it, "kylie&roses (sic)".
Meanwhile, the affair wasn't short of celebrity guests as French Montana, Meek Mill and Kendrick Lamar all performed at the bash to mark Christian's milestone.
Kate Upton believes the best way to seek revenge on a cheating ex-boyfriend is to "go on enjoying your life".
The 21-year-old model insists she's not one for getting payback on an ex-lover, but she thinks one way to make him feel bad about his decision is to move on.
She said: "I think the best revenge is to go on enjoying your life and not to waste another second with him."
Meanwhile, 'The Other Woman' star insists she doesn't feel pressurised by her level of fame as she just wants to be the best that she can be.
She explained: "I'm trying to be the best that I can be, that's all I can do."
Kate's co-star Cameron Diaz believes she has a similar outlook on fame as she doesn't really see herself as being different from anyone else and her main priority is looking after herself.
She told Star magazine: "I don't worry about a lot of things! I don't look at myself in that way. I just take care of myself and that's the thing I concentrate on for my own personal needs on a day-to-day basis. There's nothing to worry about, life is good."
Rita Ora thinks Jay Z smells like "a clean tree".
The 23-year-old singer, who is signed to the rapper's record label ROCNATION, admits the 'Holy Grail' hitmaker has a "fresh" odour that just oozes nature.
She said: "He [Jay Z] smells like a clean tree. Like, so clean and fresh."
The 'RIP' hitmaker - who is dating Calvin Harris - admits was really nervous when she was introduced to Jay Z's wife Beyonce for the first time because she is someone she's admired and looked up to from a young age, but she insists she was surprised by her down-to-earth personality.
Speaking on heat Radio today (05.04.14), she explained: "I was so scared [when I first met her]. She's the idol I've always wanted to meet. I mean, one of, but she was like the nicest. I've always, always, always thought she wasn't human. And I swear I always think that she puts a plug in a socket at night and sleeps standing up or something because she's not human. But she was incredible, so kind, so honest, so caring, and so approachable."
Although the blonde beauty doesn't think anyone is allowed to babysit Jay Z and Beyonce's two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, she admits she'd jump at the chance if she was asked.
She said: "If they asked me [to babysit Blue Ivy], I'd definitely do it."
Rashida Jones admits she has a crush on Mark Ruffalo.
The 38-year-old actress has a soft spot for the 46-year-old hunk because he doesn't mind showing off his sensitive side, but he still manages to pull off being sexy as well.
When asked who her latest celebrity crush is, she replied: "There are so many! I'm going to go with Mark Ruffalo; he's kind of my all-time.
"He's such a good actor, and he's very vulnerable but manages to still be sexy, which is hard for a man."
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty, who practises Judaism, admits she can't help being superstitious about certain things and she once lost a piece of jewellery but, instead of going back to look for it, she left it because she thinks it's a sign that it's time to move on.
She explained to People.com: "[The last thing I lost was] a really pretty necklace at the airport. I have a weird superstition about jewelry: If it falls off, it's meant to fall off. It's some sort of symbol for moving on, so I didn't go back and try to find it. You kind of have to let go."
Russell Crowe doesn't want his sons to see him in another relationship.
The 'Noah' star is reluctant to strike up a romance with someone because he doesn't think it's fair Charles, 10, and Tennyson, seven, whom he shares with ex-wife Danielle Spencer, have his love-life flaunted in their faces.
Speaking on the 'Graham Norton Show' last night (04.04.14), he said: "I have the responsibility of my two boys and I don't want them thinking anything other than their mum is the most perfect woman in the world.
"I don't want them to see me in another relationship with someone who is not their mother. It's not something I need or want them to have to deal with at the moment."
The 49-year-old actor split up from Danielle in 2012 after nine years of marriage and, although he was initially determined to rekindle his relationship with the blonde beauty, he has since been linked to a number of stars.
It was reported two years ago that Russell had started dating Billy Joel's ex-wife Katie Lee after the pair were spotted canoodling in front of a romantic fireplace in the Drawing Room of New York's Greenwich Hotel.
However, the star took to Twitter soon after the rumours surfaced to shoot down the claims.
Russell was then seen "flirting" with Natalie Imbruglia at the Academy Awards in Los Angeles last year, but their chemistry never became anything more.
