Spencer Matthews believes his relationship dramas have been "great" for ‘Made In Chelsea’.
The reality TV star says he "regrets" the way he has treated some of his former lovers, but insists he wouldn’t change any of his past conduct.
He said: "I regret treating certain people that I care about a certain way and them having to suffer, but it’s done great things for the show. It started out fluffy and got progressively darker.
"Our show is really unique in its genre. I wouldn’t change anything – it would be boring if everyone was nice."
Spencer also insisted he doesn’t deliberately go out to cultivate a particular image.
Asked if his ‘bad boy’ persona will re-emerge in the new series of the show, he said: "Only if I have a reason to. I’m never actively good or bad. I get on with Stevie [Johnson], Jamie [Laing], [Oliver] Proudlock and Sam [Cussins], so there’s no need for me to be an a***hole."
Despite previously clashing with Andy Jordan over Louise Thompson, Spencer insisted they no longer have a problem.
He told OK! magazine: "At the start of this series, Andy and I no longer have a rivalry. Take from that what you will."
