Ellen Page has a phobia of tennis balls.
The 27-year-old actress is reprising the role of Kitty Pryde - who she first played in 2006's 'X-Men: The Last Stand' - for the forthcoming 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' and she was forced to use tennis balls as props when working on scenes which relied on computer graphics, so was able to convincingly portray fear.
On 'Late Night with Seth Meyers', she was asked: "Where there are giant sentinels - what are you looking at [when filming]?"
Ellen replied: "It's a tennis ball. But I have a phobia of tennis balls, so it works really well."
Ellen admitted she has always been afraid of the small balls and can't even watch tennis on TV as the sports equipment terrifies her so much.
She added: "I've always had it.Tennis comes on I have to get out of the room."
The brunette beauty - who was catapulted to the spotlight for her role in 2005 drama 'Hard Candy' - later posted an image of herself on Twitter when she was backstage and can be seen clutching a coffee mug which covered much of her face.
She added the message: "It's just coffee I swear (sic)"
Britain's Prince Edward presented the weather during a trip to the University of Reading.
The Earl of Wessex, accompanied by his wife Sophie, was given a tour of the university and took on the challenge of using the green screen to give his own forecast.
He learnt the ropes from 'Good Morning Britain's' weather presenter Laura Tobin before taking his turn in front of the camera, looking smart in a grey suit, white shirt and yellow tie.
Sophie watched on as her husband followed in the footsteps of Prince Charles, who also attempted to present a lunchtime weather forecast slot in 2012.
Laura later took to Twitter to praise Prince Edward, who she thought was a quick learner, and later spoke about the royal visit on 'Good Morning Britain'.
She posted a photograph of the two of them, along with the caption: "Here I am giving top tips on weather presenting to Prince Edward! He was a good pupil & rivalled Prince Charles @gmb (sic)"
Shakira thinks Rihanna is the "sexiest woman alive".
The 'Hips Don't Lie' hitmaker collaborated with the pop star on recent track 'Can't Remember To Forget You' and described the experience as "amazing."
Talking about appearing in the sexy music video for the song, Shakira told Magic FM: "The thing about Rhianna is that she is such a natural, she doesn't need a camera to be in front of her to react like she does ... she is like that every second of the day.
"In my case, I need a countdown to be sexy but she's just like that the whole time, that's her. She is without a doubt the sexiest woman alive!"
The 37-year-old singer, who has released her self-titled 10th album after taking a break from music, claims Rihanna, 26, is not only one of the best performers in the world, but she's also just "the girl next door."
She explained: "She is very humble and sweet and warm and that made it super easy - the interaction between the two of us."
Meanwhile, Shakira is also a judge on the US version of 'The Voice' and says there is "real fun banter" between her and fellow judges Usher and Adam Levine from Maroon 5.
She added: "There is [also] a serious aspect to the job - mentoring the new talent and new artists. But also, hanging out with these guys, is like hanging out with 13 year old boys! - I'm the most mature one there and I'm about 16!"
Lily Allen thought Miley Cyrus' London show was "legendary".
The 'Hard Out Here' singer went to see the 'Wrecking Ball' star who resumed her 'Bangerz' world tour at The O2 last night (06.05.14), after having several weeks off due to a serious allergic reaction to an antibiotic, and she defended Miley's sexual stage antics.
Speaking on 'Loose Women', she told the panel: "It was by far the best show I've seen at The O2. I love her.
"She's been doing it for so long you know, since she was like two, she's just got this presence that is so natural.
"Things going wrong all over the place and the way she was dealing with it was just brilliant and funny and entertaining.
"Yes there was a lot of swearing and inappropriate stuff going on but she's Miley Cyrus, you know that's going to happen."
Quizzed by the panel about Miley being a role model for young girls and simulating sex acts on stage, Lily said: "I don't think it really matters [what her message is], just let it be, she is what she is.
"If you don't like it don't go. She's not running for Prime Minister or president.
"It was quite extreme but if you can talk to your kids and explain to them afterwards that maybe she's being a little bit silly and showing off and that's not how to behave."
Lily, who has just released her new album 'Sheezus' after a four-year hiatus, said she often gets asked about being a role model herself in interviews and can't understand why young girls would aspire to be like her.
She said: "Why would you want mad pop stars to be role models for your children? Mums and aunts and sisters, they are role models."
Kiefer Sutherland says the new 12-episode format for '24: Live Another Day' has made the show more exciting.
The 44-year-old actor reprises his role as fugitive Counter Terrorist Agent Jack Bauer for the first time in four years in the series.
The previous eight seasons were shot in real time over a 24-hour day, but the number of episodes has been cut by half for this story and Kiefer insists the change works because it allows Jack to be thrust straight into the action.
Speaking at a screening of the first episode of the series at Old Billingsgate Market, he said: "This is the first season where 12 episodes will represent a 24-hour day, the episodes are all in real time just like the show has always been but there are gaps in time. For instance in Season Two Jack is on a plane coming back from Central America to the US, the flight was two hours and it was the most boring two hours of '24' we ever had because I was eating peanuts on a plane for two hours, I'm stuck in real time. The way to fix that was to crash the plane in the middle of the flight, because it just wasn't working. Now if I need to get somewhere, I can get on a train or a plane or a helicopter at the end of the episode. This format allows the writers to speed up the time to the next episode and carry on in real-time there."
Kiefer was joined at the screening and Q&A by his co-stars Yvonne Strahovski - who plays new character CIA field operative Kate Morgan - and Mary Lynn Rajskub, who is reprising her role as systems analyst Chloe O'Brian.
The action star believes the real-time format of the series has always been helpful to him as an actor but is "problematic" for the director and writer.
He said: "The format and the nature of the show I think is inherently more difficult for the director and the writers. The truth is everything is in real time so for the actors it's actually very easy to know where you're at. "There isn't a missing gap where you have to figure out what your character might have gone through or might have done in those blank spots. I've always found the format is very helpful for an actor and problematic for a director."
'24: Live Another Day' starts tonight (07.05.14) at 9pm on Sky 1 HD and Sky 1 +1.
Ben Hardy doesn't believe his 'EastEnders' alter ego can be Lucy Beale's killer.
The 23-year-old actor insists he has no idea who murdered the Walford beauty - who was played by Hetti Bywater - but can't see it being his character, her twin brother Peter, because he doesn't have a "motive".
Speaking on 'Lorraine' today (07.05.14), he said: "I don't know who the killer is. None of the cast know. It's just four people upstairs, as far as I know!
"I can't imagine that [Peter] would do that to his sister. I can't believe that there's enough motive."
The murder storyline is set to run for months, with the killer's identity not set to be revealed until February 2015 as part of the show's 30th anniversary celebrations, but Ben insists fans won't get bored of the plot.
He said: "We'll keep you interested with various red herrings."
Meanwhile, the hunky actor finds it "strange" that fans find him attractive and wonders if he only gets female attention because he plays a "nice lad".
He said: "It's strange because I don't really think of myself as a heartthrob. It doesn't seem right!
"Maybe they like Peter because he's a nice lad."
Binky Felstead is still friends with her ex-boyfriends.
The 23-year-old brunette - who ended her six-month relationship with Alex Mytton at the end of the last series of 'Made In Chelsea' - insists she doesn't hold grudges against her lovers once they've split and is on good terms with the majority of them.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, she said: "Every relationship is kind of different and you learn different things from different people - how to behave and how not to behave. I'm friends with the majority of my exes and I'll always love them dearly."
Binky has just released her autobiography 'Being Binky' and in it she offers readers relationship advice .
The reality TV star's biggest tip is don't try to mend a broken heart with lots of booze.
She revealed: "I've got relationship advice as well (in the book) about my ex-boyfriends in the past, one of them being my first love ... it's difficult to get over but I did. My advice is remain sober! Don't go out and get drunk, it makes you feel 10 times worse. Exercise is key, a healthy diet, and keeping yourself busy."
Binky admits she was hesitant about writing a book about her life because she's still so young, but once she started she realised she'd already lived through a lot of different experiences.
She said: "I thought it'd be a bit cringe writing an autobiography purely on my life because it's not been that long - I'm only 23. But it has been a rollercoaster, and it's been exciting and different."
'Being Binky' is available now from Simon & Schuster.
Elizabeth Olsen didn't realise how "technical" 'Godzilla' would be.
The brunette beauty hits the big screen in the forthcoming sci-fi production and insists filming scenes with the titular monster were different to previous work.
She explained: "I got someone a megaphone saying Monster 1 Monster 2 and then Lizzie and then you turn around and you're like 'Oh that's my action shot'. It was more technical than I thought."
The 25-year-old actress, who plays Elle Brody, insists the adventure goes back to its "roots" which is faithful to the Japanese Toho series.
Olsen said: "This film really roots it back to the reason it was created. A very much so political voice for Japan in 1934 post World War 2 and it's going back to that kind of conspiracy theory. But it's so much fun and I get to play a mother and military wife and a nurse - being a good caretaker."
Although she hasn't seen it in 3D Olsen insists those kinds of films used to be "harmful" to her eyes.
Talking on the 'Late Show with David Letterman', she said: "I haven't seen it in that way yet [3D iMax]."
Show host David exclaimed: "That's the way to see it for God's sake."
Olsen replied: "3D used to give me a headache and I think they figured something out somewhere where it's actually really fun and not so harmful for your eyes."
Disney are planning "at least three" 'Star Wars' spin-offs.
The studio have previously stated their interest in releasing films to fill in the gaps between forthcoming episodes 7, 8 and 9 and CEO Bob Iger is said to have confirmed Disney will be release a minimum of three shows in the next ten years, during a quarterly earning stockholders call.
A reporter for Variety.com, Marc Graser, wrote on Twitter: "Disney's Bob Iger says at least three #Star Wars spinoffs are planned as part of a plan to mine sci-fi franchise over next decade (sic)."
Disney have previously revealed that they intend to release a 'Star Wars' film every year once 'Star Wars: Episode VII' is released in 2015, meaning the first spin-off, based on an individual character from the franchise, would arrive in 2016.
'Star Wars' writer Lawrence Kasdan and 'X-Men' scribe Simon Kinberg are said to have been working on stories for the spin-offs for nearly a year, but although rumours suggest a young Han Solo could be a possible subject, no official announcements have been made.
Jane Lynch's fans have been sending her pictures of their babies dressed as Glee's Sue Sylvester.
The 53-year-old actress plays the cheerleading coach in the musical drama, who usually wears track pants and a matching sports jacket, and loves seeing children dressed as her alter-ego.
Speaking on US show 'The Talk', she said: "I have a twitter feed that I go to 12 times a day and my followers on Twitter have been sending me pictures of their babies dressed as Sue Sylvester - dressed in little trackies."
Talking about a picture which was sent by a fan of her tiny tot wearing a black Adidas jacket with an image of Sue posing in the same position next to her, she added: "I re-tweeted that and thought it was just adorable."
Jane is glad parents want their kids to aspire to the good side of Sue.
She added: "They want their kids to be like Sue Sylvester - the good parts of her, the big heart that protects the weak."
However, she admitted there are some attributes of her character that people don't want to emulate.
She quipped: "Not the terrifying version!"
Kevin Spacey wrestled other celebrities out of the way to photobomb
Ellen DeGeneres' Oscar selfie.
The 'House of Cards' actor "climbed over" John Travolta and pushed away other famous faces at the Academy Awards in March this year to make sure he was in the famous picture alongside Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt after he recently grasped the trend of intentionally being in a image that is being taken of someone else.
Talking to Ellen on her talk show, the 54-year-old star said: "In the last year I've got into the whole photobomb. I've understood it.
"I was sitting, the aisle as here [at the Oscars], you were there with Meryl [Streep] over there [points] I was sitting three or four seats in. I think I had to climb over John Travolta to get to it. I saw this happening and thought this is the most awesome photobomb I'm getting in. I literally got straight to the back, I think I had to shove John Stamos down, Liza Minnelli was behind me trying to get seen."
The photograph, which was taken by Bradley on behalf of Oscars host Ellen, who then tweeted it, is believed to have been seen by 37 million people worldwide.
Publicis CEO Maurice Levy has valued it at between $800 million and $1 billion, he previously told a crowd at MIPTV.
A woman jailed for stalking Alec Baldwin still wants to speak to the actor.
Genevieve Sabourin - who was released from New York's Rikers Island prison on March 31 after being sentenced to 180 days behind bars last November - is seeking "closure" from the '30 Rock' star in a bid to put her past behind her.
She said: "I don't have his side of the story, so I feel like I don't have the full truth. I wanted to understand his side. On my quest for closure, I want to understand why he did this to me."
Genevieve was arrested outside the 55-year-old actor's home in April 2012 and subsequently found guilty of five counts of harassment and stalking and says she has "lost everything" as a result of her conviction.
She told RadarOnline.com: "I can't take anything back. The truth is I lost my house, my savings, my retirement plan, my job, [and] my friends. I lost everything.
"I just wasn't rich and powerful enough to save myself."
The French-Canadian beauty is now looking to the future and claims she has acting offers "piling in".
She said: "The past is the past. There's nothing I can change. It has been a tough ride, but this isn't the time for a breakdown. I'm ready to bounce back. In America, people rise from the ashes, and I'm strong enough to do that.
"I'm finally back on track and ready to show people who I really am. I want to be an inspiration, to prove that even if you fall down, you can rise again."
The actress' lawyer previously claimed his client had a brief "sexual relationship" with Alec in 2010 and he subsequently gave her the "cold shoulder", prompting her to "seek closure" from him.
However, Alec has denied they were ever romantically involved.
