Max Branning to destroy video evidence on EastEnders

EastEnders' Max Branning will destroy CCTV footage of him arguing with Lucy Beale.
The long-running soap character, played by actor Jake Wood, was embroiled in a secret affair with Lucy (Hetti Bywater) prior to her being found dead on Walford Common last month, and as police continue to investigate her murder, Max will be seen deleting video footage of the pair involved in an altercation just hours before she was killed.
The womanising character - whose daughter Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) was close friends with Lucy - is desperate to hide the fact that he was romantically involved with the blonde beauty before she was killed by an unknown attacker, and will raise more suspicion by destroying evidence of them clashing.
Meanwhile, Masood Ahmed (Nitin Ganatra) is to confront Lucy's father Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) after he discovers he seduced his girlfriend Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) before she ended their relationship, and Nitin's confessed he enjoys being able to show his character's darker side.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "It makes me work harder. It makes me get interested in the character again. That's very important in soaps."

Lily James leaving Downton Abbey

Lily James is leaving 'Downton Abbey'.
The blonde beauty, who plays Lady Rose in the hit ITV period drama, will depart the show after the upcoming fifth series in order to promote her leading role in Disney's new blockbuster adaptation of 'Cinderella'.
Bosses at the film studio have requested Lily, 25, make herself available to plug the movie's release next Easter - which would clash with filming of the sixth series of 'Downton'.
Show creator Julian Fellowes has vowed to leave the door open for Lily, however, and her character won't be unceremoniously killed off like Matthew Crawley (Dan Stevens) and Lady Sybil (Jessica Brown Findlay).
In fact, producers have urged Lily to return for the show's Christmas specials and will concoct a storyline to explain her absence from the sixth series.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "Lily's young and adds balance to the family upstairs."
Lily plays the titular role in the new live action adaptation of 'Cinderella', which boasts an A-list cast including Oscar winner Cate Blanchett, 'Game of Thrones' hunk Richard Madden and Helena Bonham Carter.
The Disney film is directed by screen and stage veteran Kenneth Branagh.
An insider said: "It's a very important film for Disney and you can understand them wanting their leading lady to be available to promote it."

Emma Stone meditates

Emma Stone meditates every day.
The 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' star suffers with anxious thoughts regularly, but she's able to deal with them by training her mind to relax through the calming technique.
She said: "I just started meditating in January. It's changing my life completely. I'm pretty into it. Once or twice a day, I meditate. That has been the best thing for my mind ... I get so anxious privately."
The 25-year-old actress also believes settling down in Manhattan, New York, will help ease her fearful thoughts because it will create structure and stability for her.
She explained: "I didn't have a house for the past year. I had been renting in New York for about four years. I've been living out of hotels. I'm so excited.
"Forming a routine will help me feel a little less nuts. It's disorienting to not have a home. Forming a routine has been so hard over the last year and a half."
The flame-haired beauty, who is currently dating her co-star Andrew Garfield, insists that although she comes across as confident, it's all an act, but staying focused helps.
She told USA Today: "For some reason, it's never worked for me before, I'm able to separate who I actually am from the box of rats that's going around in my head. Your thought process is not who you are. That's separate monkey chatter mode."

Kevin Connolly splits from girlfriend

Kevin Connolly has split from his girlfriend.
The 40-year-old actor has called time on his relationship with Lydia Hearst, 29, after just one year of dating, due to their romance fizzling out.
It is believed there was no drama behind the break-up and their relationship was "just done", according to E! News.
However, the couple showed no signs of trouble in paradise last month when Lydia revealed how the pair met through a social networking site.
She told 'Access Hollywood' at the time: "We met through mutual friends and Facebook. Actually, I think I might've hit him up. It was a while ago. It's been over a year. But I love him to death and I'm very happy."
Meanwhile, the 'Entourage' star hasn't had much luck recently after he broke his leg in two places in March when he tripped over a sprinkler while shooting the movie.
Kevin was filming a football scene with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who has a cameo in the movie, when he stumbled as he made a play, which resulted in his co-star Jerry Ferrara falling on his leg.
The star - who reprises his role of Eric 'E' Murphy in the movie - immediately iced the injury and went back to work on his next scene shortly afterwards.

Susan Sarandon expecting ‘theatrical’ daughter labour

Susan Sarandon thinks her granddaughter's birth will be "theatrical".
The 'Stepmom' actress' daughter Eva Amurri Martino and her husband Kyle are expecting their first child together, a baby girl, and are planning for her to be born at home.
Susan said: "Eva's going to deliver at home, so it'll be a very theatrical event."
The 67-year-old star - who also has sons Jack, 24, and Miles, 21, with ex-partner Tim Robbins, as well as Eva, whose father is filmmaker Franco Amurri - also recalled her own pregnancies, and admitted they felt "surreal.
Speaking to America's Closer magazine, she said: "It's such a sci-fi happening. When you're pregnant, it seems surreal until the baby's there."
The 'Lovely Bones' star recently admitted she doesn't want her granddaughter to call her grandma, and will encourage her to call her 'Honey' instead.
She said: "I borrowed this name from a very dear friend of mine who's from the South, and his grandma was 'Honey'.
"That's what I'm experimenting with and Eva likes it, so we'll see.
"I think it's good because this is Kyle's parents seventh grandchild, so they've established what his parents are called."

Shane Warne would date Miranda Kerr

Shane Warne would love to date Miranda Kerr.
The former cricketer - whose engagement to Elizabeth Hurley ended earlier this year - was delighted to learn a professional matchmaker had paired him up with the Australian model, whose marriage to Orlando Bloom ended last year.
During an appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O show on KIIS FM this morning (02.05.14), presenter Jackie Henderson told him: "Based on all your previous relationships, I have got an assessor to come up with some things that I should be looking for.
"I want to make sure that I'm looking for the right things, so you tell me if what she came up with is correct."
Jackie then listed what she believes Shane looks for in a woman, including confidence, spontaneity, adventure, and above all, someone who takes pride in their appearance.
He exclaimed: "You are on absolute fire at the moment Jackie, everything is a big tick. You must have Ms. Perfect ... the Mrs. Shane or something.'
However, though he praised "wonderful and beautiful" Miranda, Shane said he would have to "check" with his friend James Packer, as the billionaire has been romantically linked with the Victoria's Secret model for the last three months.
He said: "I think I would actually have to ring my friend James first, I'm not sure what's happening there.
"Miranda's a wonderful beautiful person. I'd love to say yes to that but mates come first there, so I'd have to check with James what the situation was. I don't do the dirty on friends...you don't go there."

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind's Anthony Bregman, alongside Kevin Frakes, Raj Brinder Singh, The Walking Dead's David Alpert and Britton Rizzio will produce for PalmStar, Likely Story and Circle of Confusion with Ray Angelic taking on the role of executive producer.

Usher debuts Michael Jackson’s new track

Usher debuted Michael Jackson's new song at the iHeartRadio Music Awards last night (01.04.14).
The 'Good Kisser' hitmaker got to honour the King of Pop by performing the track 'Love Never Felt So Good' at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, which will be featured on 'XSCAPE', Michael's upcoming album.
The track was introduced by veteran music boss L.A. Reid of Epic Records and was produced by John McClain and Paul Anka - having been recorded back in 1983.
The label will be releasing the album, in conjunction with the Estate of Michael Jackson, on May 13, and guest artists featured on the record include Mary J Blige and Justin Timberlake.
Usher paid tribute to Michael in an interview with MTV News following the star's death in 2009 of acute Propofol intoxication.
He said: "I think Michael Jackson is by far one of the most impactful artists in music ... when MTV did not play African-American videos, he took a stand and said, 'This is a must,' and you look what it became after that.
"You can't say that you are an artist in this century and [not be] influenced by Michael Jackson. I consider myself very fortunate to have had the opportunity to share the stage with him, to know him personally, and I am always going to remember him."

Iggy Azalea tips Rita Ora for superstardom

Rita Ora will be a "superstar", according to Iggy Azalea.
The Australian rapper has boldly predicted worldwide success for her close pal, who she recently collaborated with on new track 'Black Widow', which was penned by Katy Perry.
Iggy said: "Rita's a superstar and she will only get bigger. She's one of those girls that always gets the party started, she is so mischievous, it's great going out with her."
The 23-year-old star was originally determined to avoid any collaborations on her debut album, 'The New Classic', but eventually relented when 'Roar' hitmaker Katy pitched 'Black Widow' to her.
She explained: "I changed my mind when Katy said she kept thinking of me when she wrote 'Black Widow', but it was months before I got to hear the song. I was going, 'Play me the damned song! What the hell?' "
Iggy also reveals that Katy was her first choice to sing on the track but the in-demand star couldn't fit a recording session into her busy schedule.
The rapper told the Daily Star newspaper: "Katy couldn't get time to sing on the track herself, so we wondered who else could do it. It needed someone who could really sing, as Katy's voice is awesome. Rita is a great fit - her voice can blow people away."

Wilko Johnson recovering after doctors ‘successfully’ remove tumour

Wilko Johnson is recovering well after radical cancer surgery.
The former Dr Feelgood guitarist had a pancreatic tumour "successfully" removed during a nine hour operation on Wednesday (30.04.14) and doctors are said to be "happy" with his condition after he was given 10 months to live, when he rejected chemotherapy.
In a statement from Wilko's manager, Lisa Climie, said: "Wilko will stay under very close observation for the next few days.
"Although cautiously optimistic the team have to stress that it is very early days yet.
"The family thank everyone for their good wishes and ask for some privacy at this time so they can support Wilko with his recovery in peace."
The news comes after the BBC reported the 66-year-old musician had defied the doctors' predictions after his "football-sized" tumour spread to his spleen and parts of his stomach, with sources claiming they were "hopeful" the surgery would have a "positive" result.
Meanwhile, Wilko has scrapped 14 gigs in May and July to allow him time to recover from the operation.
He recently stormed the UK album chart with the Roger Daltrey collaboration 'Going Back Home.'
