Mick Jagger is a great-grandfather

Sir Mick Jagger has become a great-grandfather for the first time.
The 70-year-old Rolling Stones rocker's granddaughter Assisi Jackson and her boyfriend Alex Key welcomed a daughter into the world over the weekend, HELLO! reports.
The new arrival - whose name has not yet been announced - is the first grandchild for Assisi's mother Jade, 42, who is due to give birth to a baby boy next month.
Assisi, 21, previously admitted her grandfather was delighted she was expecting a baby.
She said: "He said, 'Well done,' and I said, 'I didn't have to try too hard.' "
However, she admitted the 'Paint it Black' star - who was left devastated in March by the suicide of his long-term girlfriend L'Wren Scott - was unlikely to be calling himself great-grandad.
She said: "I imagine it's nice to be a great-grandad - although I'm not sure he likes the idea of getting old, or being called one.
"I call him Mick - I wouldn't start calling him Grandpa."
Despite her young age, Assisi insisted the time was right for her to have a baby.
She said: "I grew up quite quickly and wouldn't have considered having a child if I was doing what my friends are doing at this stage, messing around.
"I don't drink, I don't smoke and I'm very settled."

Jackie Jackson weeps over hologram

Michael Jackson's brother cried as he watched his hologram performance.
Jackie Jackson thinks choreographers Rich and Tone Talauega did an "amazing" job in making the virtual likeness of the late star - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 - so convincing as he performed to 'Slave to Rhythm' at last night's (18.05.14) Billboard Music Awards.
Jackie told Billboard: "When he started walking and dancing, I was teary-eyed.
"It's hard to please Michael's fans and Michael... I'm telling you it's amazing."
There had been a huge demand for a hologram performance from Michael, but John Branca, the executor of the late star's estate, felt the music awards show was the perfect setting.
He said: "It's so important to experience Michael Jackson in a live setting. This is something where we wanted a live performance in front of a live audience and nothing speaks to that more than an awards show."
Despite the performance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas being the first public airing of 'Slave to Rhythm', it may not be the next single from Michael's posthumous album 'Xscape'.
Epic Records chairman L.A. Reid said: "It's certainly one of the songs [being considered].
"We pick the first single; fans pick the second."

Khloe and Kourtney find Hamptons store

Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian have found a site for their Dash store in The Hamptons.
Restauranteur Irma Herzog - whose Driver's Seat Restaurant was investigated last year after an employee was diagnosed with hepatitis A - has risked the wrath of local residents in Southampton by "betraying" the upmarket village and leasing an art gallery space adjacent to her eatery to the sisters, who are planning to spend the summer in the resort for new reality show 'Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons'.
One outraged source told the New York Post newspaper: "Southamptonites are abuzz that Irma Herzog has betrayed their village . . . Will Irma also be bringing back another bout of hepatitis?
"Now she brings trash to her backyard. People are lining up to buy Irma's property and get her out of town. She is a piranha."
It was previously claimed residents in the coastal spot were furious that the "attention-seeking family" were planning a new base in Southampton.
One source said recently: "They have been looking at property on Little Plains Road in Southampton, and already the neighbours are up in arms about it.
"They don't want the hassle of the entourage, the cameras, the paparazzi and all the fanfare that comes with this attention-seeking family."
Kourtney's long-term boyfriend Scott Disick and their children, Mason, four, and Penelope, 19 months, will also be joining the sisters over the summer.
According to the village website, filming on any beaches is not permitted from Memorial Day at the end of May through to September 30.

Jennifer Lawrence shares hiccups cure

Jennifer Lawrence has shared her secret hiccups cure.
The 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay' actress insists gulping water while she lowers her arms from above her head helps her get rid of hiccups.
She said: "The only thing that ever works for getting rid of hiccups for me is when I drink water and raise my arms over my head and lower them very slowly."
Jennifer, 23, did just that in front of a crowd of reporters at the Vanity Fair Cannes Film Festival party.
Her co-star Josh Hutcherson gave her the water as Jennifer slowly lowered her arms and after a minute, true to her word, she'd managed to beat it.
The blonde beauty recently revealed she's afraid fans will "get sick" of her after her big screen success in recent years thanks to roles in the 'Hunger Games' and 'X-Men' franchises.
She said: "Nobody can stay beloved forever. People are going to get sick of me."
However, the 'American Hustle' actress admits she most worries about her behaviour away from the camera because she thinks she is often "annoying" in public.
Jennifer added: "I'm way too annoying because I get on red carpets and I'm really hyper, most likely because I've been drinking, and I can't not photo-bomb somebody if it's a good opportunity."

Miley Cyrus covers Beatles at Billboard Awards

Miley Cyrus covered The Beatles' classic 'Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds' at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards last night (18.05.14).
The 'Wrecking Ball' singer, who appeared via video link, was first bleeped by ABC producers when she slipped up while thanking fans for her Top Streaming Song (Video) and Top Streaming Artist gongs.
The 21-year-old star said: "Thank you to everybody for making this sh*t possible," adding, "Oops sorry, forgot I was on ABC."
The singer, who was still in Britain as part of her Bangerz World Tour, then performed a cover of The Beatles' song for the Billboard audience with The Flaming Lips' vocalist Wayne Coyne.
Miley wore a sequin body suit emblazoned with a pair of jumbo lips for her acceptance video, before taking to the stage in a gold cape and pink face-paint, while Wayne donned a red one-piece and tinsel silver cape.
The performance aired live on ABC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Miley turned to The Flaming Lips' music after she called off her engagement and her dog Floyd was killed by coyotes and she has since been in the studio with the band.
She said: "Floyd and I always listened to the Flaming Lips. So now when I listen to that music, I totally feel the presence of him still being there, you know?"

Jennifer Lopez first female to win Icon Award

Jennifer Lopez became the first female artist to be honoured with the Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards last night (18.05.14).
The 'I Luh Ya Papi' singer took to the stage at the Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena to accept the gong after a video montage of A-list stars including Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Pitbull and Taylor Swift shared their memories of her.
Rihanna also told Jennifer: "You continue to break down barriers and inspire girls."
J.Lo accepted the award from presenters Ricky and Iggy Azalea and said: "Oh my God! What the heck? Music has always been my first love."
She continued to thank God, her fans, family, friends and boyfriend Casper Smart, who was sitting in the audience with her mother Guadalupe and sister Lynda Lopez.
The star added: "All you little ones sitting on the living room floor, have faith, dream big, think big. And know that anything is possible, you never know where you might end up."
J.Lo performed twice during the night, with long-time collaborator Pitbull and Claudia Lette, to premiere the official anthem of this year's FIFA World Cup, 'We Are One (Ole Ola)', and her song 'First Love' from her new album 'A.K.A'.
Past winners of the Icon Award include Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder and Prince.

Benedict Cumberbatch cast in Iraq war drama

Benedict Cumberbatch will hit the big screen in Iraq war drama 'The Yellow Birds'.
The 37-year-old star will play a sergeant who takes two young soldiers played by Tye Sheridan and Will Poulter under his wing as they are deployed, reports Variety.com.
David Lowery is set to helm the picture which is based on Kevin Powers novel of the same name and the filmmaker revealed he's more interested in the characters personal stories rather than the conflict they get caught in.
Lowery said: "I never had any interest in making a war film until Jeff and Evan brought me the novel by Kevin Powers.
"And perhaps I still don't, because while Powers' story takes place during wartime, it isn't about the conflict. It is about characters who find themselves caught up in war, but who struggle to not let it define them. I fell in love with them. It is a beautiful and deeply personal tale, relayed through images and memories, and I am excited to have the chance to bring it to the screen."
Cumberbatch will next be seen in 'The Imitation Game', while Sheridan is shooting 'Scouts vs. Zombies' and Poulter recently starred in 'We're the Millers'.

‘Godzilla’ sequel in the works

Warner Bros. and Legendary productions are planning a 'Gozilla' sequel.
The studios behind the movie - which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Olsen - have announced a follow-up to the sc-fi thriller after it raked in over $200 million at the global box office over the weekend.
Legendary president and chief creative officer Jon Jashni told Variety.com: "You can't ask for a better situation when you have a group of people, who were perhaps expecting to be let down were impressed, It all lines up when that eco-system aligns and starts feeding off itself. It's very validating."
Although doubt surrounded the latest remake of 'Godzilla' following the critically slammed 1998 Sony version - the two companies recognised the franchise potential of the new production and anticipated a sequel.
They have put the film's early box office success down to complete "re-branding" and "re-establishing" the movie after its previous flop.
Jashni said: "Our initial goal was to re-brand and re-establish the property in a Tiffany way. Now, we're trying to take in all of the results of the weekend."
The Gareth Edwards-directed picture took in around £93million in the US this weekend, with a further $103million taken from box office's worldwide.

Prince Charles begins tour of Canada

Britain's Prince Charles began his tour of Canada yesterday (18.05.14).
The Prince of Wales arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia yesterday evening (18.05.14) with his wife the Duchess of Cornwall for the first leg of their four-day tour.
The whirlwind tour, which marks the couple's third visit to Canada since 2009 and Charles' 17th trip to the country, will also include stops in Pictou, Nova Scotia, Charlottetown and Bonshaw on Prince Edward Island, Cornwall and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The Canadian secretary to the Queen, Kevin MacLeod, said of the visit: "There's a great deal of excitement and expectation about this royal tour."
Charles and Camilla were met by dignitaries as they touched down at Halifax's Stanfield International Airport, marking the heir to the throne's first visit to the province since 1983 and the Duchess of Cornwall's first ever.
The couple are expected to receive their official welcome to Canada today (19.05.14) near the cenotaph outside of Halifax City Hall, where Charles will make the first of his four planned speeches.
He is then scheduled for a visit to the city's Public Gardens, where he will plant an English oak tree - a tradition that his grandfather King George VI started 75 years ago.

Coronation Street’s Krissi Bohn axed from soap

'Coronation Street' star Krissi Bohn will leave the soap this summer.
The 31-year-old actress has played taxi-driver Lloyd Mullaney's (Craig Charles) daughter Jenna Kamara since joining the soap two years ago, but ITV bosses have now decided to axe her character as they've run out of ideas for storylines for her.
Speaking about her disappointment at being written out of the programme, she told The Sun newspaper: "I have enjoyed every single moment of my time on the street.
"Although I am disappointed not to have my contract renewed I am thankful for all the experience I've gained and look forward to whatever the future may hold."
Krissi - whose only other television role was an appearance in 'Law and Order: UK' in 2010 - enjoyed a number of storylines, including a lesbian relationship with Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) and trying to protect her father Lloyd from his new girlfriend Andrea (Hayley Tamaddon), during her time as Jenna.
'Coronation Street' boss Stuart Blackburn said: "Krissi has played a key role in some fantastic stories."
Krissi's departure will come as the soap prepares to welcome Kal Nazir's (Jimi Mistry) mother Yasmeen and her teenage son Zeedan to the famous cobbles this summer.

Michael Jackson hologram performs at Billboard awards

A hologram of Michael Jackson performed at the Billboard Music Awards last night (18.05.14).
The image of the late singer - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 - danced and moonwalked to new track 'Slave to the Rhythm' in a gold jacket, white T-shirt and red trousers alongside a group of dancers.
Show director and producer Larry Klein said: "You were watching the magic of Michael Jackson just like you would have when he was performing."
Michael's former choreographers the Talauega brothers were brought in to work on the project and wanted to give fans "classic" Michael.
Rich Talauega said: "We knew we didn't need to go so far left field with his dance moves - we just kept it within his world.
"Its just the way you reconfigure his steps so it looks different. You're still speaking the same language, it's just a different dialect."
Tone Talauega added: "It was classic Michael, but we put our spice on it."
Event producers Dick Clark Productions built a special stage at the rear of the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for the performance, and dancers moved through aisles as Michael was seen rising from a throne and walking down steps before launching into his famous dance moves on a set modelled on the artwork from his 1991 album 'Dangerous'.
The performance took months of planning, choreography and filming and required developments in technology for it to be able to happen.
Producer Larry said: "We've been talking about it for the last five months and while we were talking about it they were still inventing the process.
"It was really strange talking about something that did not exist."

Robin Thicke appeals to Paula

Robin Thicke made a public appeal to win back Paula Patton at the Billboard Music Awards last night (18.05.14).
The 37-year-old singer debuted a new song, 'Get Her Back', at the star-studded ceremony and he not only seemed to dedicate the track to his estranged spouse - who he split from in February after nine years of marriage - but the lyrics appeared to be an apology for his past behaviour.
He told the audience at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada:"All right, you got to help me try to get her back now."
He then appeared tearful as he sang lines such as: "I never should have raised my voice or made you feel so small...
"I should have kissed you longer, I should have held you stronger. I'll wait for forever for you to love me again."
Towards the end of the performance, he asked the crowd to put their hands together, fell to his knees and sang: "I gotta get her, I gotta get a girl tonight."
Earlier in the evening, the 37-year-old star - who has four-year-old son Julian with the actress - thanked "my wife" as he picked up the award for Top R&B song for his track 'Blurred Lines'.
He said: "Most importantly, I'd like to thank my wife for her love and support and for putting up with me all these years."
Though the childhood sweethearts insisted their split was mutual, it has since been reported that it was Paula's decision and Robin has since been doing his best to persuade her to give their marriage another try.
