L’Wren was in debut when she died

L'Wren Scott was £3.5 million in debt when she died.
The fashion designer was found in her New York apartment this morning (17.03.14) having apparently taking her own life, leaving her friends, family and partner - The Rolling Stones singer Sir Mick Jagger - devastated.
According to accounts for her business, LS Fashion LTD, which were filed in the UK in October 2013, the company was in trouble, with a deficit of £3,546,000 and the designer owing creditors £4,593,000.
Friends have said the former model - known for her headstrong ways - had always refused financial help from her multi-millionaire partner of 13 years.
Speaking about L'Wren's fashion label, which she started in 2006, a source told MailOnline.co.uk: "L'Wren was in a lot of financial trouble. She was unable to pay her staff and her suppliers and it had been going on for a very long period of time.
"She wanted so badly for things to be a success. Whereas she got her outfits on a number of high profile people, the clothes were not a commercial hit and didn't fly off the shelves. It was a huge burden on her and she didn't want to fail.
"Everyone was very much left wondering why she didn't ask Mick for help. But she didn't. Things were left a long time and she spent the past few months struggling to pay the vast amount of her outgoings. It was a tragic situation and she kept it from everyone.
"Her staff expected the company to go under and her fabric suppliers and tailors were close to ending their working relationship. The bills just weren't getting paid."
A spokesperson for Mick - who is currently on tour in Australia said he is "completely shocked and devastated" by his partner's death.
L'Wren, who is a former model and stylist, had cancelled a show at London Fashion Week in January, saying at the time fabrics arrived too late for samples to be sewn for the event. It is now thought the real reason was her financial difficulties.

Chris Brown got too close to woman in rehab

Chris Brown was kicked out of rehab for getting too close to a woman.
The 'Fine China' singer spent almost four months at the facility in Malibu, California, and had completed his initial treatment for Anger Management before a judge ordered him back inside until the conclusion of a court case against him in April.
However, Chris was thrown out on Friday (14.03.14) after breaking three "internal rules", one of which was specifically imposed on him, which was to stay at least two feet away from any women.
The rule was made because he is still on probation for his 2009 assault of then-girlfriend, Rihanna, but he broke it by "touching elbows and hands" with a woman.
According to TMZ.com Chris was "also in some sort of sexual encounter with a woman at the facility" earlier this month, but it was not cited as evidence to thrown him out.
Chris - who is thought to be dating Karrueche Tran, who has frequently visited him in rehab - is also said to have initially refused a drug test after an unauthorised outing, and although he did eventually submit to it and the results came back negative, his refusal breached the centre's rules.
The singer's third violation is said to have been when he made a "mockery" of his rehab during a group session.
Chris is currently in a Los Angeles jail, where he is being held without bail. He will appear in court today (17.04.13) where his lawyer is expected to ask for him to be placed under house arrest until his outstanding court case - where he faces charges of an allegedly assaulting a man named Parker Adams in Washington D.C. - is resolved.

Mick Jagger ‘devastated’ by L’Wren Scott’s death

Sir Mick Jagger is "completely shocked" by the death of L'Wren Scott.
The Rolling Stones singer was on tour with the band in Australia when he was informed his partner of 13 years has died of an apparent suicide today (17.03.14).
His spokesperson said: "He is completely shocked and devastated by the news."
Fashion designer L'Wren was found hanging from a scarf on a doorknob in her home in Manhattan, New York, by her assistant at around 10 o'clock this morning.
The assistant went to the apartment and let herself in after receiving instructions to do so by text message from L'Wren.
A New York police department spokesperson said: "At approximately 10.05 hours police responded to 200 11th avenue.
"Upon arrival, officers discovered a 49-year-old female, unconscious and unresponsive. Emergency Medical Services also responded and pronounced the aided DOA [Dead On Arrival] at the scene. The investigation is ongoing and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death."
New York Police have also said there is no suspicion of foul play connected to the death, but they are awaiting the examiner's formal report.
L'Wren - a former model, who stands at 6' 3" - had met Mick on a photo shoot in 2001 when she was working as a stylist. They started dating, but didn't appear together publicly until 2005, when they attended the Golden Globes ceremony. In recent years they had divided their time between New York and London - where she has a design studio - and also owned a flat in Paris together.
After years as a successful model and stylist, L'Wren launched her own brand in 2006, which became a favourite of many celebrities, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Obama and Christina Hendricks.
Her friend, actress Nicole Kidman, said of her clothing: "She knows what aspects to accentuate in a woman, and is able to make you feel incredibly sexy and sophisticated when you are in one of her exquisite designs."
L'Wren was born Luann Bambrough in Utah and raised by adoptive parents before moving to Paris while still a teenager to work as a model.
Her fashion career also included designing costumes for films, including 1996's 'Diabolique', 'Ocean's Thirteen', 'Eyes Wide Shut' and 'Shine a Light', a documentary about The Rolling Stones.

Tributes flood in for L’Wren Scott

Bianca Jagger has led tributes to L'Wren Scott.
The 49-year-old fashion designer was found dead this morning (17.03.14) appearing to have taken her own life and Bianca - the former wife of Sir Mick Jagger, who had been L'Wren's partner for the past 13 years - was among the first to pay respects.
She wrote on Twitter: "Heartbroken to learn of the loss of the lovely and talented L'Wren Scott. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. May she rest in peace."
Former model L'Wren was a sought after stylist and her clothing brand was very popular among celebrities, with fans including Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Michelle Obama, ensuring tributes were quick to flood in.
Khloe Kardashian - who had previously worn one of L'Wren's designs to appear on the cover of Glamour magazine - exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Oh my god that's horrible! When anyone passes away it's so tragic and horrible. I just pray for her family."
Rocker turned photographer Bryan Adams, who was a friend of the designer, tweeted: "Devastated to have lost my friend L'wren. @lwrenscott Rest in peace my dear I'm gonna miss you. Condolences to all that were close to her (sic)."
Bette Midler wrote: "Just got news of the beautiful L'wren Scott's death perhaps by her own hand. I am devastated. A rare, wonderful, talented soul. Goodbye (sic)."
Actress Olivia Wilde said: "L'wren Scott was brilliant, elegant, kind, and generous. S**t. My heart goes out to her loved ones. What a tragedy (sic)."
From the fashion world, designer and close friend Marc Jacobs wrote: "Rest in peace, L'Wren Scott. You'll forever be missed."
A friend close of L'Wren said there had been no outward signs she was unhappy before her tragic passing at her apartment in New York.
The source told the New York Post that at Christmas "she was perfectly normal, she was giving out advice.
"I've never known her to say anything to me like 'I'm sad'. Everybody who knows L'Wren and Mick are totally and completely shocked.
"Neither of them drink and do drugs, and they were always really affectionate with each other. There were no signs of problems in their relationship."

George Michael still has Faith jeans

George Michael still has the jeans he wore in his famous 'Faith' video.
The 50-year-old singer wore a pair of ripped denim trousers with a leather jacket and black sunglasses for the 1987 video and has revealed his father Jack Panos still has the garments at his house.
George said: "My mum used to keep things like that and now my dad's got them. They were jeans I'd had for ages, so the rips were genuine. I wore them so much that they started to fall apart - I used to ask my mum to sew them."
The 'Careless Whisper' singer hasn't worn the pants for a "long time" but insists he's planning on digging them out next time he visits his father and says the clothing was his idea because he couldn't afford a stylist.
He continued: "The whole 'Faith' image was totally me - I came up with the idea and I put the look together, leather jacket and everything. I didn't use a stylist - in fact I don't think I could have afforded one. It worked, though, and I think it was quite a cool image."
The video was a huge hit and George's fashion sense inspired pop culture in the late 1980s but he claims it wasn't intentional.
He added in an interview with Britain's HELLO! magazine: "I remember after that video, Vivienne Westwood wanted to make clothes for me - I couldn't believe that one of the engineers of the punk image thought I was cool enough for that."

Shailene Woodley unsure of everlasting love

Shailene Woodley doesn't know if she believes in everlasting love.
The 'Divergent' actress admits she hasn't yet met anyone she wants to make a lengthy commitment to, and isn't sure that will ever happen.
Speaking to the April edition of Marie Claire magazine, she said: "I just haven't met anyone where I was like, 'Wow, I could definitely see myself spending a season of my life with you'.
"I don't even know if humans are genetically made to be with one person forever."
The 22-year-old star also admitted she was a "late bloomer" who still played with dolls as a teenager.
She said: "I was the latest bloomer there ever was. I was still playing with Barbies at 14 and didn't have my first kiss until 15-and-a-half. He had big, beautiful lips, and I was like, 'I don't know what I'm going to do with those.' "
'The Descendants' actress - who recently admitted to not owning a mobile phone - doesn't understand social media and finds websites like Twitter and Instagram "weird".
She said: "The whole social media thing is just a little too weird for me. We're all such narcissists, and that's what social media caters to. Our society conditions us to be our own planets, which is great. Independent thinking is so important. But we expect everyone around us to be our moons."

Sarah Michelle Gellar too old for Buffy movie

Sarah Michelle Gellar thinks she's too old to star in a 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' movie.
The 36-year-old actress, who played teen heroine Buffy Summers in the sci-fi TV series between 1997 and 2003, doesn't foresee her classic TV show spawning a movie spin-off like 'Veronica Mars' as she worries she wouldn't be able to pull off the daring martial arts stunts now she's older.
She said: "I'm a little old now. I feel like Buffy would have a wooden stake walker. I'm not quite sure how that would work."
'The Crazy Ones' star also admits she has her reservations about a big-screen adaptation of the series as 'Buffy' originally started out as a critically panned, camp 1992 horror movie starring Kristy Swanson.
Sarah explained to 'Access Hollywood': "'Buffy' was [already] a movie. See, I think people forget that. 'Buffy' was a movie first, and I don't know if you guys know this, but it didn't really work!
"I see you laughing at me over there, but it kind of didn't work. We spent our whole first year or two apologising for the movie. So, I think it would be an incredibly different pressure."
Since putting her iconic vampire slaying character behind her, Sarah has taken on a new role in life, mother to two tots - Charlotte, four, and 18-month-old Rocky - with her husband Freddie Prinze Jr.

L’Wren Scott found hanging in New York home

L'Wren Scott has been found dead in her apartment.
The 47-year-old celebrated fashion designer - who was dating Rolling Stones star Sir Mick Jagger - was found hanging from a scarf on a doorknob in her home in Manhattan, New York, earlier today (17.03.14), police told the New York Daily News newspaper.
The body is said to have been found by her assistant at her 200 11th Avenue address at around 10 o'clock this morning and although it's been claimed that police do not suspect foul play, the Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death.
L'Wren has previously spoken out about her hate for being referred to simply as Mick Jagger's girlfriend as she wanted to be recognised for her own talents, although she often used the rocker as her muse.
She said previously: "I'm a fashion designer. I don't want to be defined as someone's girlfriend.
"You always wonder if people will pay attention to the hard work that goes into what you do. And when you're taking something on your own, it's your company, your investment - your life."
The former model designed all of her 70-year-old boyfriend's outfits for the Rolling Stones' 50th anniversary tour.

Sarah Ferguson and Andrew happiest divorced couple

Britain's Sarah Ferguson thinks her and ex-husband Prince Andrew could be the "happiest divorced couple in the world".
The Duchess of York, who has two children with Andrew, Beatrice, 26, and Eugenie, 24, divorced the 54-year-old royal in 1996 after ten years of marriage but insists they have remained "loyal" to each other.
Talking about recent rumours they could be set to re-marry, Sarah said: "I think the rumours have been there for 20 years. We live in a world where everybody believes in fairytales and they need the inspiration of fairytales.
"I believe this modern-day fairytale at this moment is in the most perfect place because Prince Andrew and I have two of the most outstanding girls, we communicate better than ever and we show great respect and loyalty to each other."
She added to HELLO! Magazine: "So, therefore, I think that we are in the right place right now."
The 54-year-old royal was reportedly reluctant to split from Andrew but said they have remained loyal to each other "through thick and thin".
She continued: "From the day we got married to now, we've always upheld the same belief in each other. We are trailblazing on being the happiest divorced couple in the world. It is unusual, but we are unusual."
Sarah is currently single, while Andrew has been linked to George Clooney's ex-girlfriend, model Monika Jakisic, but the duchess isn't desperate to find a partner.
She added: "I can't really answer questions about the future because I live so much in the present, for the excitement of today."

Hollyoaks to kill off Fraser Black

'Hollyoaks' gangster Fraser Black is to be killed off in a dramatic new plot.
The menacing bar boss - played by Jesse Birdsall - meets his untimely end in a whodunnit storyline, the Channel 4 soap have confirmed in their spring trailer.
Several names will be in the frame, with the clip suggesting Fraser's protégée Trevor Royle (Greg Wood) finds out the truth about his boss' involvement in his father's death, Ste Hay (Kieran Richardson) seen by a burning car as he issues a warning to the sinister businessman and Joe Roscoe (Ayden Callaghan) waking from his coma.
A source told Digital Spy: "The village will be left not puzzled about who had a motive, but who didn't. Residents will be looking across the dinner table not knowing if they are sharing mealtimes with the person responsible."
The trailer also includes footage of Sinead Roscoe (Stephanie Davis) in a frantic dash to reach her baby daughter Katy before her health takes a turn for the worse, and Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Wareing) appearing to confess to her involvement in the murder of Dr. Paul Browning, leaving her accomplices Lindsey Butterfield (Sophie Austin) and Mercedes Browning (Jennifer Metcalfe) in line for questioning.
Spring storylines will also see love in the air for Holly Cunningham (Amanda Clapham) and Jason Roscoe (Alfie Browne-Sykes) as she finally confirms her love for him, and Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) and Peri Lomax share their first kiss.
However, Peri (Ruby O'Donnell) is later seen in hospital, while there is also shock for Maxine Minniver (Nicki Sanderson) who discovers she is pregnant - but with her abusive lover Patrick Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) having had a vasectomy, it looks likely a paternity riddle is on the cards.
John-Paul McQueen's (James Sutton) agony continues as her faces court for his attack on Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham), but the schoolboy offers him a lifeline when he tells former friend Finn O'Connor(Keith Rice) he plans to confess all about their bullying, including his pal's rape of their teacher.
'Hollyoaks' airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.

OneRepublic kicked off UK tour in London

OneRepublic lit up London's Roundhouse as they kicked off their UK tour last night (16.03.14).
Frontman Ryan Tedder started the 90-minute Camden show by singing behind a giant white curtain, before it dropped to the floor and he bounded about the stage singing 'Light It Up' backed up by his band.
Despite admitting he was "fighting a cold", Ryan, who has written hits for everyone from Beyoncé to James Blunt, proved why he's also an in-demand singer and musician, after his band achieved phenomenal success with their hit single 'Counting Stars', which has had more than 211 million hits on YouTube.
They launched into 'Secrets' before shots of Abbey Road flashed up on a huge screen, along with scenes of a masquerade ball from their video for 'All The Right Moves'.
Ryan told the audience: "We've valued the UK quite possibly more than any other place we've toured from day one," which resulted in huge applause and the band were treated to 'What You Wanted' before the musician pulled out an acoustic guitar for 'Stop And Stare'.
'Something I Need' moved the crowd and was one of the highlights of the night before Ryan performed 'Apologize', his hit duet with Timbaland, as his neon piano flashed from red to blue, creating a stunning visual effect.
Ryan laughed and engaged in banter with a fan after they threw a giant pair of underpants onto the stage, which he described as "disgusting", adding, "They're much too big for me to wear."
His energy and soaring vocals were nothing short of surprising for those who hadn't yet witnessed the undercover king of pop live on stage.
Guitarist Zach Filkins's solo session of looped flamenco sounds also stunned fans, while bassist Brent Kutzle showcased his talent on the cello.
OneRepublic closed the show with 'Life In Color' and the anthemic 'If I Lose Myself', as confetti cannons were let off and the band hit giant glowing drums, creating a party atmosphere.
Fans were left wanting more, while those who doubted the band were made to eat their words.

Metallica showcase new song

Metallica have debuted a new track which is "representative" of their "creative headspace".
The group performed eight-minute long 'The Lords of Summer' at their show in Bogota, Colombia, last night (16.03.14) and drummer Lars Ulrich promised the track - the first original music since the 2012 EP 'Beyond Magnetic', which was comprised of outtakes from 2008 LP 'Death Magnetic' - is a good taster for fans of what they have coming up.
Speaking before the show, he told Rolling Stone: "We promised our fans we'd play a new song and we've been writing and creating away and we're going to throw something at them on Sunday.
"We have something lined up that is fairly representative of where our creative headspace is at right now. It's one of those things that's like, 'Here, we're writing and we're creating.' "
However, the rocker admitted the track may not survive onto their next album in its current state.
He added: "We did the same thing when we went out and played a bunch of dates in 2006. We were writing and played two different new songs over the course of that summer, and none of them made the record ['Death Magnetic'].
"One was called 'New Song 1' - going out on a creative limb, here - and the other was called 'New Song 2.' That's how deep we went. There was a couple of pieces in 'New Song 1,' some of the middle bit ended up in 'All Nightmare Long,' and the intro bit ended up in 'The End of the Line.' That's how we work; stuff just gets changed around, moved over and this goes over there and the rest of that gets sacked and that ends up in the intro in song five.
"So who knows what's going to happen with this stuff."
