Lena Dunham’s boyfriend isn’t protective

Lena Dunham's boyfriend doesn't feel the need to shield her from criticism.
Jack Antonoff, who has been dating the 'Girls' creator and star since 2012 after they were set up on a blind date by his sister and comedian Mike Birbiglia, says he isn't overprotective of her because they have no problem switching off and being a "normal" couple at home.
Asked about protecting the 28-year-old actress, who is regularly criticised for her figure, outspoken personality and for baring her naked body on the HBO series, the fun. star exclusively told BANG Showbiz at the Wireless Festival in London today (06.07.14): "That's not something I really think about. We're just home being normal people, eating, sleeping and relaxing, so all the noises of the world are easy to turn off."
The 30-year-old rocker, who was performing at the event with his new band Bleachers, also insists he and Lena always make time for each other, no matter how busy they are.
He said: "We're like any other people, lots of people manage that - if one's a teacher and one's a cop; they have crazy scheduling issues too. Time is hard. But you figure it out."
The 'Some Nights' hitmaker revealed that Lena has inspired several of his new band's songs.
He said: "Yes, of course Lena's inspired some songs. You'll know right off the bat when you hear it which ones are about her."

Taylor Swift hosted a star-studded party on Friday (04.07.14).
The 'Red' hitmaker was joined by a number of her celebrity friends, including Emma Stone and Lena Dunham, to celebrate America's Independence Day at her $17.75 million waterfront mansion in Rhode Island.
'Hart of Dixie' star Jaime King, former 'Gossip Girl' star Jessica Szohr, 29, and indie-pop singer Ingrid Michaelson, 34, were also in attendance.
The group shared a number of photographs from their fun-filled weekend on Twitter and Instagram, showing them swimming, baking desserts and playing with festive sparklers.

'The Amazing Spider-Man' star Emma, 25, previously praised Taylor for being a "pretty normal girl" and explained she loves hanging out with the singer because she "has such a sick sense of humour."

Ashton Kutcher performs dance at wedding

Ashton Kutcher performed a Bollywood-style dance at a friend's wedding on Saturday (05.07.14).
The 'Two and a Half Men' star, who jetted from Los Angeles to Italy with his pregnant fiancée, Mila Kunis, to attend the nuptials, took to the dance floor with a female friend to entertain guests at the reception.
The 36-year-old star donned traditional Indian attire, including a red turban, white trousers and turquoise salwar kameez top, for the performance, during which he twirled his companion around and even lifted her off the floor with a huge smile on his face, according to the MailOnline.
'Black Swan' star Mila, 30, was also spotted wearing an embellished white dress, as she posed with friends at the event.
The couple are clearly eager to make the most of their last few months before becoming parents, as the trip is just the latest in a string of vacations that actress, who is reportedly set to give birth to a baby girl in October, has taken with her former 'That 70s Show' co-star recently.
The couple - who recently purchased a new $10 million home in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles - also spent a week soaking up the sun at the exclusive La Taha'a Island Resort & Spa on the island of Tahaa, near Bora Bora, in French Polynesia at the end of May.
A source previously revealed the duo's baby would be the guest of honour at their own wedding, as they have decided to wait until after the tot is born to get married.

Dolly Parton to adopt Glastonbury dog

Dolly Parton is planning to adopt a rescue dog found at Glastonbury.
The '9 to 5' hitmaker, who performed in front of 150,000 people at the music festival last weekend, wants to take the white lurcher back to the US with her if the original owner doesn't come forward soon.
The pooch, who has been named Dolly in honour of the singer, was found on Tuesday (01.07.14) by workers cleaning up the site after the five-day event at Worthy Farm, Somerset, England, and is currently in a nearby animal shelter.
But the 68-year-old star said: "I had my manager Danny Nozell call the Happy Landings Animal Shelter to make sure the dog is being treated and cared for properly.
"At this time, nobody has claimed the dog and the dog is in great hands at the shelter. I will take the dog home to America if nobody claims her within a reasonable amount of time."
The 'Blue Smoke' singer also said: "I was sad that someone left the little dog behind. How could that be? In them meantime everybody is on top of it and have promised they'll take care of that little dog. I feel honoured and flattered that they have called her Dolly."

Miley Cyrus gets tattoo of late dog

Miley Cyrus has got a new tattoo in memory of her dead dog.
The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker, who was devastated when her adorable Alaskan Klee Kai, Floyd, was killed by a coyote in April, unveiled the new inking, which features a drawing of her beloved pet's head with a speech bubble that reads, "WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FWENDS," under her left armpit on Instagram.
Some of the 21-year-old star's friends also got matching tattoos of the dog at a house party on Saturday night (05.07.14), and Miley posted several other images of the process before unveiling the finished product, with the caption: "#withalittlehelpfrommyfwends #housepartygreentonguefloydtats (sic)"
The 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker already has several other tattoos, including a cat on the inside of her bottom lip, a portrait of her grandmother, a dream catcher, a quote by Theodore Roosevelt, a skull, the word 'Karma' and a mini replica of Leonardo da Vinci's anatomical heart drawing.
Miley, who erected a shrine for Floyd last month, welcomed a Rough Collie named Emu Coyne into her large family of dogs recently, but insisted he wasn't a replacement for Floyd.
She shared a cute snap of her new pet cuddling up to her on Instagram, with the caption: "Time to start making Emu accounts smilers. He's here and here to stay. I welcomed Emu Coyne Cyrus into the family a couple days ago. Been keepin him a secret cause sometimes I'm weird like that.
"It's taken some time to be ready for this next step and loving again. There will never be anyone like Floyd. There was a bond that was so deep it's irreplaceable but that's not what I am trying to do. Never will I replace Floyd and that's something I had to take time to understand."
Emu joins Miley's three other canines, Mary Jane, a Pitt Bull, Happy, a Rottweiler-Beagle cross, and Bean, a Chihuahua mix.

Foxes still can’t believe her success

Foxes is still surprised that other people know the lyrics to her songs.
The 'Holding Onto Heaven' hitmaker, real name Louisa Rose Allen, admits she's still getting used to her success and can't believe the number of fans who sing along when she's performing.
The 25-year-old star told Andrea Zara from KISS FM UK backstage at the Wireless Festival in Birmingham today (06.07.14): "It's absolutely insane. I never thought in a million years that thousands of people would sing the songs I'd written two years ago on a bit of paper in my bedroom."
The brunette beauty, who will make her acting debut in an episode of the upcoming eighth series of the hit BBC sci-fi drama 'Doctor Who,' also revealed her mother is her biggest fan.
She said: "Of course my mum is there front row singing along."
The 'Youth' singer loves performing at music festivals.
She previously said: "I love festivals, I'm a festival fan, I'd go anyway."
But she also gets annoyed when people think she's a manufactured artist.
She explained: "I get quite a lot of people thinking I don't write the music, which is mental, but I guess, which you're considered a sort of 'pop' act some people just immediately think, 'Ah, you didn't write it.' "

Kim Kardashian parties with Katie Couric

Kim Kardashian has ended her feud with Katie Couric.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star, who lashed out at the US chat show host last August, accusing her of being two-faced, celebrated Independence Day with the veteran journalist in the Hamptons, New York on Friday (04.07.14).
The 33-year-old beauty's mother Kris Jenner shared a photograph of them hanging out with model Christie Brinkley and mutual friend Shelli Azoff on Instagram on Saturday (05.07.14), with the caption: "Great night @kimkardashian @shellibird1 @christiebrinkley @katiecouric! #hamptonslife (sic)"
This marks the first time the duo have been spotted together since the reality TV star slammed Katie, 57, for sending a set of Barney's New York pyjamas to her daughter North after she was born in June 2013, shortly after she dismissed the Kardashian's success in an interview, saying: "I don't understand - why are they so famous? I think it's mostly teenage girls that are interested."
Kim responded by posting a picture of Katie's gift and congratulatory card on Instagram, with the caption: "#IHateFakeMediaFriends #MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalkSh*t. (sic)"
Katie later apologised for hurting her feelings, saying: "I've met Kim before and I think she's a really sweet person.
"I didn't mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine, and I'm happy for Kim and Kanye."
But a source close to the E! star said she wasn't impressed by the apology, adding: "Kim is so tired of people publicly bashing her yet kissing her a** behind closed doors."

Kanye West lashed out because of ailing grandfather

Kanye West thinks celebrities should be allowed to have an "off day."
The 'New Slaves' hitmaker, who struck a plea deal with prosecutors in March over allegations he struck photographer Daniel Ramos in an unprovoked attack last summer, opened up about the incident while performing at the Wireless Festival in London on Saturday (05.07.14), and claimed he only lashed out because he was stressed out about his ailing grandfather, Portwood Williams Senior, who died last August.
A source told the MailOnline: "During his now routine speech during 'Runaway,' he opened up about his paparazzi camera incident. He said he had just been at a deposition in regards to the case and explained that on the day of the incident, he was actually on the phone being told that his grandfather was not going to make it."
The 37-year-old star, who agreed to perform after Drake cancelled due to illness, was reportedly booed for giving a 20-minute rant about discrimination in the fashion industry during his set on Friday (04.07.14), but his fans were more understanding on Saturday.
The insider said: "While the crowd cheered at first, they became tired and frustrated as the speech, which once again went on for 20 minutes with Kanye complaining that 'celebrities need to be allowed to have an off day as well.' They began to boo with one section of the crowd saying 'We want Drake.' But they cheered when the speech ended and were actually more receptive than [Friday]."
The rapper, who is married to Kim Kardashian, also admitted he is "very shy" and misunderstood.
He said: "I'm very shy in real life. Because I'm too shy to put out some b*******."
He added: "Sometimes it's hard because I'm too shy to carry off a lot. I'm arrogant and shy and a little bit lazy. I'm too shy to lie to anybody and I'm too arrogant to make myself lie to anyone because lies take too much work."

John Mayer plans reality TV show

John Mayer wants to create a new reality TV series.
The 36-year-old singer wants to expand to carve out another career behind the scenes and is reportedly pitching an idea for a new show called 'My Funny Friend'.
A source said: "His concept is: everyone thinks they have a buddy who's so hysterical, he or she should be in a comedy. So people nominate their friends, and they go through a series of evaluations to determine if they're actually funny or not."
The 'Something's Missing' hitmaker wants celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain to host the series.
The insider added to Us Weekly magazine: "John thinks it has a great human-interest angle.
"John's saying it's a show about 'dreams. He's telling people, 'Think how much joy there is in seeing a friend happy!' "

Freida Pinto won’t work with Dev Patel again

Freida Pinto doesn't want to work with Dev Patel again.
The 29-year-old Indian beauty and the 24-year-old British actor fell in love on the set of their 2008 movie, 'Slumdog Millionaire,' but aren't interested in appearing on screen together ever again because they're worried about how it might affect their relationship.
The actress said: "I think we created all the magic that was needed for one film. We're leaving the rest of the magic for our personal lives."
However, the duo love teaming up together in the kitchen.
Freida told Us Weekly magazine: "I don't want to say we like cooking because we're both not good. We argue through the food prep, but it's fun. I wish I could cook Indian food because I could start a restaurant and have an alternative career. There aren't any good Indian places in LA."
The actress is so committed to her acting career that she recently went to rehab to get into character as a heroin-addicted Iranian artiste in upcoming feature 'Desert Dancer'.
A source told the Hindustan Times newspaper: "She went to about five sessions, where those who've been recouping for long chatted with her about their journey of beginning to consume heroin to enrolling themselves in therapy.''

Pink Floyd to release new album

Pink Floyd will release a new album this year.
The iconic rock band are going to come the closest they ever will to a full reunion, with David Gilmour and Nick Mason reportedly spending the first half of 2014 back in the studio.
An insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "This will be one of the most exciting piece of music for decades because it is the closest we will ever come to a Pink Floyd comeback.
"The band will never officially reform because there is no Pink Floyd with Rick Wright. Rogers Walters isn't involved in this project either. But Nick has been determined to keep the band alive.
"This is now a new album with songs that have never been heard before - that's something fans never thought would happen after Rick's death."
The album - which will be entitled 'The Endless River' - was inspired by material originally made while Pink Floyd worked on 'The Division Bell' in 1994.
The source added: "The old material had been sitting in a vault at Abbey Road Studios in London and it's been a joy for Nick and David to rediscover."
