Ed Sheeran thinks Beyoncé Knowles "controls all women."
The British star says no other female artist compares to the 'Pretty Hurts' hitmaker, who was named one of the world's most powerful women by Forbes magazine in May, and believes everyone wants to copy what she does.
Asked to choose between Beyoncé or Iggy Azalea, the 23-year-old 'Sing' hitmaker told Atlanta's Power 96.1 radio station: "Beyoncé controls all women. Beyoncé owns women around the world. Beyoncé just has this thing, women want to be her. They want to think like her. They want to do the things that she does."
Speaking about the surprise release of the 32-year-old singer's self-titled fifth album in December, he added: "When that album dropped, you realised how many of your mates are Beyoncé fans because I had a house party the day that it dropped--and I didn't know it was dropping, obviously all the women did--and all of the women locked themselves in a room with big speakers and listened to the album all the way through.
"There were about 16 of them. And the guys were just there drinking beer playing pool we just didn't know what was going on so we went in and they were just there [singing] 'Drunk in Love'!"

Becca Tobin and her friends are reportedly "baffled" by Matt Bendik's death.
The 'Glee' star, 28, is desperately "looking for answers" after her boyfriend was found dead in his hotel room at Philadelphia's Hotel Monaco on Thursday (10.07.14).
An insider said: "He was such a solid guy. What a loss... Everyone is looking for answers and reasons right now."
Another source told UsMagazine.com that the late nightclub owner, 35, "didn't do drugs" and "only casually" drank, adding: "He was a hardworking businessman, the nicest guy, very diligent, with such vision. It is unbelievable. None of us knows what it could be. He was a guy that loved life and loved living."
A friend close to the couple also said: "He was doing really well and they were happy together."
An incident report taken by a detective at the scene states no drugs, drug paraphernalia, alcohol, medication or weapons were located in Matt's hotel room, and his body did not appear to have suffered any physical harm.
Becca's loss comes almost one year to the day after her co-star Cory Monteith was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver, Canada on July 13, 2013.
Tests later revealed the 31-year-old actor, who was dating his other co-star Lea Michelle, died as a result of a heroin and alcohol overdose.

Khloé Kardashian and French Montana have a very steamy relationship.
The couple, who quietly started dating six months ago but were first spotted together in April, reportedly can't keep their hands off each other when they're together.
A source said: "It's a very sexual relationship. Khloé likes bad boys, and she wants to reform French."
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star, who was vocal about her fertility struggles with estranged husband Lamar Odom, whom she filed for divorce from in December amid rumours he cheated on her and was addicted to cocaine, is said to already be thinking about starting a family with the 'Pop That' hitmaker, as she is desperate to become a mother.
Another source told UsMagazine.com: "She stayed with Lamar Odom through everything because she was dying for a baby. And she still is."
The insider added: "She says she could see herself with French in the long run."
Meanwhile, in an emotional new clip from next Sunday's (13.07.14) episode of her family's E! reality TV series, Khloé, 30, claims that Lamar was with another woman on her 29th birthday in June last year.
She said: "He's wearing his ring full time. F*** your ring, you were wearing it when you were f****** someone else too!
"The way I was living was not a way to live. Everything I did I had to hide or conceal or cover up."
She also tells her sister Kourtney in the clip: "Let me tell you something. Last year on my birthday I lied to everyone.
"Because I had to lie and say I was with my husband. When in fact my husband was missing with another girl. Okay?
"And I lied and I gave up my Beyoncé tickets. That's how badly I was hiding. And I didn't have a birthday. I was alone and lied to everyone."

Katie Holmes is reportedly set to buy a $4 million home in New York City.
The 'Giver' actress, who has an eight-year-old daughter, Suri, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, was recently spotted viewing the lavish new abode in Midtown, as she is eager to live in a more family-friendly neighbourhood.
A source told UsMagazine.com: "She is buying in a more neighbourhood-y area. The place has three bedrooms, and she needs to do some work to it but not much."
The brunette beauty, who split from Tom in June 2012, is currently renting an apartment in Manhattan's trendy Chelsea area, where she pays $12,500 a month.
But the source said she decided she "wanted more of a neighbourhood for her daughter."
Earlier this year, the former 'Dawson's Creek' star, 35, admitted she loves living in New York and feels at home there despite being from Ohio.
She said: "New York has been very good to both of us. I love the theatre, the galleries in my neighbourhood. Stuff [like] that is so much of what makes me love this city. I love the Knicks. I love talking to my neighbours in the elevator. I like feeling a part of something big."
She added: "I love the community in New York. I love New Yorkers. I ran into someone on the street the other day that I went to high school with. I love the moments of spontaneity every day."

Kim Kardashian thinks pregnant women should "never leave the house."
The 33-year-old beauty, who has a 12-month-old daughter, North, with husband Kanye West and previously admitted she didn't enjoy her pregnancy, also recommends women cover up their baby bumps with "a huge blanket."
Asked for maternity style advice, the Kardashian Kollection designer told Elle.com: "I recommend hiding for a good year and having no pregnancy style."
Hinting there is too much pressure put on pregnant women, she added: "That's what I recommend. If you can do it, hide. Never leave the house."
When her sister Khloé chimed in, saying: "Okay, well that's not practical. Give a different answer."
Kim replied: "That's really my recommendation. Wear a huge blanket."
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star gained 50 pounds during her pregnancy and confessed last year that criticism about her weight really upset her.
She said: "It hurt my soul. I was gaining weight because I was pregnant, and it was just really hard to read all these stories and hear all these nasty things. Why would I subject myself to so much negativity, especially now that I have a daughter? I've definitely tried to live more of a private life because of that."
Meanwhile, Khloé, 30, says that baby North is very bossy compared to their sister Kourtney's two-year-old daughter, Penelope Disick.
She said: "She's like bada**. Like, I'm North. She's very confident in who she is. I will say that. And P is like submissive and sweet. North is very sweet, but North is like 'Hi,' like she bosses people around."

Jon Voight thinks Liev Schreiber is "a perfect leading man."
The 75-year-old actor, who is Angelina Jolie's father, is a huge fan of his 'Ray Donovan' co-star and thinks he is one of the best actors in Hollywood.
Speaking about the 46-year-old star, who is in a long-term relationship with Naomi Watts, Jon said: "He's attractive. He's sexy. He's dangerous. He's got a sense of humour. He's intelligent and he has great emotional depth."
He also told E! News: "I am going to say this right in front of him. I'm a big fan of Liev's and I have been for years, since I worked with him many years ago and I followed his career. I always felt like he was a perfect leading man."
Liev recently said his partner Naomi, with whom he has sons Samuel, five and Alexander, seven, is a huge fan of their critically acclaimed TV series.
He said: "It was a real treat to watch it with Naomi. She's a harsh critic, and to see her enjoying it and her family enjoying it was real fun."
But the actor doesn't usually like their children visiting him during filming, as he worries about setting a bad example.

There was no foul play involved in the death of Becca Tobin's boyfriend.
The 'Glee' actress - who plays Kitty Wilde in the musical TV series - and her beau Matt Bendik arrived in Philadelphia for a business trip on Wednesday (09.07.14) and enjoyed a night out with friends before Matt was found dead in their hotel room on Thursday (10.07.14).
Law enforcement sources have informed TMZ that an incident report taken by a detective at the scene states no drugs, drug paraphernalia, alcohol or medication were present in the hotel room following the death.
They added that no weapons of any sort were located at the scene and Matt's body appeared to have suffered no physical harm.
The 35-year-old nightclub owner was found by a maid who entered the couple's room the morning after what was described as a "normal" night with friends.
The Philadelphia Medical Examiner confirmed that Mark's body had been found, but has released no other information on the incident.
The businessman - who was "not known as a partier" - ran several major clubs around the US and was Director of Operations at DBA Nightclub in Los Angeles.
The nightspot posted a tribute to Matt outside, with a board reading: "We love you Matt."
Friends are said to be "shocked and devastated" by the news.
Becca, 28, joined 'Glee' for the fourth season as a recurring cast member in her first major acting role, and was promoted to a regular for season five.

Pamela Anderson isn't ruling out a reconciliation with Rick Salomon.
The 'Baywatch' star - who filed for divorce from the 46-year-old earlier this week - is reportedly prepared to give Rick another chance if he curbs his wild partying.
A source told TMZ: "Pam felt the only thing she could do at this point in her relationship and marriage to Rick was to file for divorce because of his wild partying.
"They love each other, but it's always a roller coaster with Pam and Rick. No one should be shocked if they reconcile."
The 47-year-old actress - who married Rick just after he won $2.8 million in the World Series of Poker Big One for One Drop, earlier this year - adopted a new "healthy lifestyle" and started to grow apart from her estranged husband, who is already trying to win her back.
The source explained: "She is on a quest to live a very healthy lifestyle and doesn't want to be around Rick's lifestyle. Rick's poker playing late nights out are hardly a secret and Pam is just at a different place in her life right now.
"Since she filed for divorce, Rick has been begging Pam to halt the divorce proceedings."
It isn't the first time the blonde beauty has ended her marriage to the former producer.
She previously married Rick in a small wedding ceremony at The Mirage in Las Vegas in October 2007, but requested to have their marriage annulled the following February citing fraud as the reason.
However, the pair appeared to have made up last October when the busty star admitted on television that she and Rick - who appeared in Paris Hilton's sex tape 'One Night in Paris' - were "friends with benefits."
They tied the knot for the second time earlier this year.
Pamela was previously married to Tommy Lee in 1995 and has sons Brandon and Dylan with him, but the couple divorced three years later in 1998.
She later married Kid Rock - whose real name is Robert Ritchie - in July 2006, but on November 27, 2006, Pamela filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are very "excited" about their pregnancy.
The couple - who met on the set of their 2012 movie 'The Place Beyond the Pines' - are reportedly expecting their first child together later this year and it's now been revealed that they're thrilled with the news.
A source told People magazine: "They literally could not be more excited. She's feeling great."
Eva, 40, is rumoured to be seven months pregnant and hadn't been seen out in public since March until she was photographed wearing a baggy dress and hiding her baby bump with a bag while making her way to her car in Los Angeles yesterday (10.07.14).
While Ryan, 33, has reportedly always wanted to be a father, Eva has admitted in the past that she had no plans to marry or have children, but since getting together with Ryan she's said to have completely changed her mind.
An insider told the magazine: "With Ryan things are different ... she's very independent but she's content with her partner. She finally found the person she really wants to be with."
Meanwhile, Ryan - who previously dated his 'The Notebook' co-star Rachel McAdams - is said to be so comfortable in his relationship with the 'Hitch' actress because of her laid back attitude.
A source revealed: "She's very friendly and approachable. She's also very independent and Ryan is too. He loves that Eva isn't prissy. She's like a dude. She's outgoing and makes everyone feel great."

Michael Douglas pulled his groin at his son's Bar Mitzvah.
The 69-year-old actor suffered the injury when he was lifted up in a chair whilst partaking in the traditional Jewish coming of age ceremony with his son Dylan.
During an appearance on 'The David Letterman Show', he revealed: "They have this celebration where they take you to put you up in a chair. The guys who are in the back are pushing too hard; the guys couldn't hold me at the front. I went forward and then the old groin went."
The 'Last Vegas' star - who also has daughter Carys with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones - admits Dylan's Bar Mitzvah was a very proud day for him and the entire Douglas family.
He said: "He had a Bar Mitzvah in May, which was a tremendous success, I'm so proud of him since neither Catherine or I had a formal religious background. He did a great job."
Michael also admitted that he finds it "scary" how, as he ages, he looks more and more like his father, 97-year-old movie legend Kirk Douglas.
Michael said: "It's getting a little scary. My father called about six months ago and he said, 'Son, I saw one of my old movies on television. I couldn't remember it.'
"I said, "Dad, you're getting older.' And he said, 'No, son, it's not that ... I kept looking and I realised, it wasn't me, it was you!' "

Britain's Prince George cried endlessly on his first night at home.
Prince William and Duchess Catherine, both 32, reportedly had a tough night with their little prince when they first left hospital and retreated to their two-bedroom apartment on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
It's claimed there was no air conditioning in the home and the little tot cried all night, keeping his parents awake in the process.
A source told Vanity Fair magazine: "George was up so much they could barely have a conversation."
Prince George - who turns one on July 22 - is featured on the cover of the iconic magazine's August issue to mark his first birthday. The cover feature was written by journalist Katie Nicholl, who spoke to many close friends of the royal family.
In the article, Nicholl claims Catherine had a difficult first few weeks with George as he suffered from colic.
The article states: "Kate expressed relief that George behaved well during his first few public appearances.
"The first few months the prince cried loudly and frequently, and he was not sleeping through the night."

Gerard Way's solo album feels "British".
The former My Chemical Romance frontman has promised fans his forthcoming LP will be very different to his work with the band because he has been influenced by a host of UK acts such as Supergrass, Blur, and Gang of Four.
He said: "The sound of it is rooted in a lot in shoegaze, also Britpop -- the whole thing largely feels like a British album.
"I was going for a lot of things that were completely new to me. Even the way we attacked the vocals and tried to make them sound was very different from ways that I had ever been recorded."
Gerard is particularly pleased with the lack of "compression" on his vocals on the new album, especially when compared with his work in the band.
He added to NME magazine: "My vocals over the years have been so used to being triple tracked and quadruple harmonized and compressed to s**t.
"But we didn't do that. A lot of the time it's a single vocal, which is cool."
The 'Teenagers' rocker will debut his new material at the Reading and Leeds festivals in August and thinks it was right to make his first live solo appearance in the UK because audiences there have always been supportive.
He explained: "This was the first place to get us, to fully understand My Chemical Romance, and I feel like it's going to be the same situation here.
"I think in the States, it's going to be a bit of a fight -- I think it's going to be a bit of a fight here too, for different reasons, because it always should be a fight. But I think just the influences alone, because they're so rooted here, it needed to be set off here."
