The 37-year-old actress would be happy to follow in the footsteps of her mother Bebe Buell - who was Playmate of the Month in November 1974 - so long as it would be tastefully done and her modesty was preserved.
Speaking on the 'Watch What Happens Live' after show, she said: "I don't know; my mum's body was so beautiful. I'm a little too shy to be naked. I'm kind of into wearing panties.
"Like I would do it if I could have something covering something. If 'Playboy' still looked like the French one - if it still looked like that, I might consider it."

Cory Monteith first overdosed when he was 15 years old.
The 'Glee' actor - who died from "mixed drug toxicity", including heroin and alcohol last July aged 31 - had struggled with addiction for a long time, and his mother Ann McGregor thinks much of his inner turmoil came from his lack of relationship with his father, her ex-husband Joe Monteith.

Britain's Prince Charles claims he's past his "sell-by-date for surfing."
The 65-year-old royal - the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth - visited Watergate Bay in Cornwall, as part of a three-day trip to the West Country, where he admitted to surfers that his water sports days are long behind him.
Speaking to the beach's Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) lifeboat manager Steve Instance, he said: "I'm past my sell-by-date for surfing."
During the visit, the prince - whose sons William and Harry surf - told a group of student chefs that he wishes he could get back into the sea and hit the waves again.
One of the chefs, Carla Viladonmat, told the Daily Mail newspaper: "He said he had done it himself quite a few years ago and wished he could get back out there now."
Charles and his wife Duchess Camilla also spent time talking to Surf Action, a group that teaches the water sport to military veterans in a bid to help them adjust to normal life after serving in the war.
Rich Emerson, one of the charity's founders and a former Lance Corporal in the Queen's Royal Irish Hussars, said surfing had helped him after he served in the first Gulf War.
He explained: "It's something to do with the salt water. You get a lot of positive vibrations in the salt water. We mainly deal with a lot of post traumatic stress."

He told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "I dislike raising anticipation. Fussing over a movie? I hate to build up steam, tell people to see it. Maybe it won't turn out good. Could be terrible. If it's decent, we promote it. Once it's finished and deserves to be loved, I'm thrilled."
The 'Midnight In Paris' director claims he is constantly coming up with new ideas for movies, though they don't always turn out well.
He said: "Hard is working up the new ideas. The early part, planning, takes months. Like, will that mesh? How's this fit? Can I go from one action to the other? I pace the streets, walk up and down in my room, stand alone, think, make tough decisions. It's difficult.
"Writing's easy. Three weeks. Laying on my bed in the bedroom, I write with a ballpoint pen on a yellow legal pad. Then it's typed.
"I'm always thinking up ideas. I jot them down on anything. A napkin, matchbox, then stick them in this drawer I keep in my house. Always writing notes, I never have to sit looking at a blank wall. I open that drawer, lay down on my bed and think. Some ideas turn out great, some not so good."

Liev Schreiber doesn't want to be pigeon-holed as a "dark guy".
The 'Ray Donovan' actor says he and his Oscar-nominated partner Naomi Watts are all too often labelled for playing complex characters and he is eager to play more light-hearted roles from now on.
He revealed: "If you're out hunting Oscars all the day, it can get pretty heavy. Naomi and I are always pigeon-holed as the 'dark' guys.
"I'd love to do a kids' animated movie - that would be great."
The 46-year-old star also explained he's not bothered by the negative reaction to 2013's 'Movie 43', a comedy film made up of shorts that he and Watts starred in as a favour to a friend.
Schreiber said: "It was the project of a mutual friend of Naomi and me. He called us up and asked if we'd do a comedy short for him and without reading a script we both said, 'Of course.' We get the script and it was ... well, we'd already committed to it.
"It was nice to do something fun together. Sure, it's not the greatest film ever made, but who cares?"
Schreiber shot to fame in the 'Scream' franchise and he is stunned by his success because he only initially had a 20-second appearance in the first movie.
He explained: "[Producer] Bob Weinstein called me into his office, he said he wanted me to do this thing for him. I'm in $70,000 debt from student loans and I'm looking for a job wherever I can get it. He says all he wants me to do is walk down some stairs and get into a police car. Twenty seconds. Twenty grand.
"I couldn't believe it. Obviously it turned into a huge phenomenon."

Ralf Little "owes his career" to 'The Royle Family'.
The 34-year-old actor shot to fame playing Antony Royle in the popular sitcom and admits he is always willing to star in one-off specials because show creators Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash gave him his big break.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at a VIP screening of Kasabian's new concert film in London's Leicester Square last night (16.07.14), he said: "I owe everything to it, and if Caroline and Craig ever said to me, 'Do you want to do it?' then I almost don't feel it would be my position [to say no] because I owe my entire career to them.
"I think people still love it. As long as they can keep on writing good scripts then I think there's a place for it."
Ralf also revealed that getting back together with the cast - including his on-screen parents Ricky Tomlinson and Sue Johnston - for specials is like a real-life family reunion.

Trustee David Liddiment believes the BBC would benefit greatly if it were to air more than three episodes of the hit detective drama starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
The BBC Trust is the governing body of the BBC and is tasked with ensuring it provides value for money to licence fee payers.
He told RadioTimes.com: "It is hard for audiences to understand why there is something as good as 'Sherlock' and it is on for only three weeks, why can't we have more of it?"
Mr. Liddiment went on to suggest the "benefits to the BBC would be great" if the show were to "sit in the schedule for 12 weeks".
The former ITV director of programmes co-wrote the latest BBC Trust review, which has relayed viewers' wishes for more quality drama in line with critically acclaimed US shows such as 'Breaking Bad'.
Mr. Liddiment explained: "We have seen extraordinarily ambitious pieces of television come out of America and Scandinavia, in particular shows like 'Mad Men' and 'Breaking Bad' which are on 12 hours a year. They are very, very ambitious and a modern audience, when it likes something, they want more of it.
"We are in a kind of demand society and it's not impossible is what I am saying. And when you get it absolutely spot on, it is a bolster to do more of that."

The Steps singer received a nasty injury as he prepares to show off his gymnastic prowess in BBC One's new primetime show, where celebrities learn various disciplines such as tumbling and double trapeze.
Participants are still in the early stages of filming the show, but their training is already taking its toll.
Yesterday (16.07.14), H shared a photo of his blistered and bleeding hand, which he hurt whilst practising a difficult move on an aerial hoop.
Accompanying the graphic image, he wrote on Twitter: "Ripped my hands apart on a move called a Tombé on the Aeriel Hoop! I taped up & got back on tho! @BBCOne #Tumble (sic)"
Later Ian even joked: "I'm kind of starting to enjoy the pain !! x (sic)"
The singer isn't the only celebrity to hurt themselves during training.
Former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Lucy Mecklenburgh tweeted: "I have counted 16 bruises on my body!! Wow I need to get out more!!! Thanks #Tumble (sic)"
Luckily, the contestants are in safe hands as they practice under the guidance of the British Amateur Gymnastics Association, which has trained Olympic gymnasts Beth Tweddle and Louis Smith.
Louis will appear on 'Tumble' as a judge alongside Olympic gold medallist Nadia Comaneci, Commonwealth gold medallist Craig Heap and choreographer and aerial artist Sebastien Stella.
Beth has her own role on the show and will act as a mentor to the celebrities throughout the series.

Former Oasis manager Alan McGee has written his gravestone epitaph after being left petrified of death by several cancer scares.
The 53-year-old music mogul - the man who discovered Liam and Noel Gallagher's band - has had several growths removed from various parts of his body and in order to stay healthy he is living a completely teetotal life.
Speaking in the 20th anniversary relaunch issue of Loaded magazine - which is out now - former Creation Records boss McGee said: "I've had polyps removed from my arse, I've had a lump taken from my arm, I've had an exploded ulcer that had to get dealt with and I had Sarcoidosis when I was very young - 26.
"If I was going to write my epitaph it would be, 'He came, he lived, he partied, he departed.' I'm living every day like it's my last. That's like something Charlie Sheen would say. But you've got to enjoy your f***ing life. I have made mistakes in my life, but you can't regret or revisit mistakes. Life is too short."
McGee - who was 23 when he founded Creation in 1983 with a £1,000 bank loan - had a colon cancer scare in 2003 which he was eventually given the all-clear from but has had to have follow up treatment.
He said: "Back in 2003 my wife told me that because my mum died of bowel cancer I should go for a colonoscopy.
"I had no warning signs apart from family history. They zapped it with laser treatment and they had to cut out a polyp. If you are over 40, you are supposed to go every five years because if you don't cut them out they turn to cancer.
"Because it was so unpleasant it took me more than five years to go back. By this time we solved it. I got one taken out recently and I am clear."
McGee - who has a new label, 359 Music - now lives a peaceful life in Wales with his wife Kate, 42, and 13-year-old daughter Charlie and insists he loves being a "house dad" and doesn't miss the rock 'n' roll life.

Ricky Wilson had to be rescued by security after fans tried to rip his shirt off at MTV Crashes Plymouth.
The Kaiser Chiefs entertained fans at the gig on Tuesday (15.07.14) in Devon with their hits 'Ruby' and 'Everyday I Love You Less and Less', but things got out of control and bodyguards were forced to intervene.
However, that didn't appear to deter the 36-year-old musician, who later took several photographs of himself on a fan's phone, before posting them on Twitter.
He accompanied the snap - which he'd created as a four-picture montage - with the cheeky caption: "I stole this guys phone and took pictures... (sic)."
He then posted the picture again and noted that he particularly "loved" the photo of the cheering crowd.
Meanwhile, the hunk did manage to do some sightseeing before the gig - which also included performances from Example, The 1975 and Kiesza - as he was spotted paying a visit to the famous Smeaton's Tower at Eddystone Lighthouse yesterday.
