Piper Perabo weds

Piper Perabo has gotten married.
The 37-year-old actress tied the knot with director-and-producer Stephen Kay in New York City on Saturday (26.07.14), after getting engaged in September.
The 'Covert Affairs' star - who met her new spouse on the set of the TV show - donned an unusual textured metallic gown accessorised with a pale yellow veil and a bouquet of roses, while her groom wore a casual loose-fitting blue suit and gray fedora.
Following their wedding ceremony, the low-key couple walked to a nearby restaurant with their loved ones and a New Orleans-style band in tow.
The fiercely-private actress hasn't spoken much about her relationship with Stephen, but recently spoke of her love of "tidy and simple" men.
She said: "Cocktails like the Manhattan are similar to men that I like: really strong, sort of tidy, simple, beautiful, and with their hair down."
And asked earlier this year who her top five dinner party guests, living or dead, would be, her then-fiance was top of the list.
She said: "Stephen Kay, Phyllis Diller, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jon Stewart, and Michael Symon."

Quentin Tarantino confirms Hateful Eight go-ahead

Quentin Tarantino has confirmed he will continue to work on 'The Hateful Eight'.
The Academy-Award winning director was forced to put the Western on hold after chunks of the script was leaked online in January, but he has now decided to go ahead with the movie, according to Deadline.com.
The 51-year-old star was furious after he found out someone had published the story on the web and was determined to find out who was behind the betrayal as he'd only lent the scrip to a small group of actors.
He said at the time: "I'm very, very depressed, I finished a script, a first draft, and I didn't mean to shoot it until next winter, a year from now. I gave it to six people, and apparently it's gotten out today."
Fans were hoping to see another Western from Tarantino following the success of 'Django Unchained' last year, but were left gutted when he said he would publish the story as a book and pursue other projects.
He said: "I don't know how these f**king agents work, but I'm not making this next. I'm going to publish it, and that's it for now. I give it out to six people, and if I can't trust them to that degree, then I have no desire to make it. I'll publish it. I'm done. I'll move on to the next thing. I've got 10 more where that came from."
However, he announced in April he was working on a new draft of the script and hoped to go ahead with the project at some point in the future.
It is now believed the movie could go into production as early as November.

Vicky Pattison wants marriage

Vicky Pattison wants to be married in five years' time.
The 'Geordie Shore' reality star has admitted that she plans to be married by the time she is 31.
Vicky, who is currently 26 years old, revealed that she has a five year plan in place which will hopefully see her walking down the aisle and with a successful book under her belt.
She explained: "I hope I'll have a house and at least one book in the Times Bestseller List. I want to be at the top of my game and doing TV presenting. I want to wake up every day happy with my job and career. And I want to be married, with a dog."
However, Vicky's boyfriend, ice hockey player and part-time butcher James Morgan, won't be under any pressure from her to propose.
She added: "I would never put any pressure on him in that area. I think once you start doing that, men run away. The most attractive thing to a man is an independent woman."
In the past, Vicky has been engaged to former 'Geordie Shore' co-star Ricci Guarnaccio, but they broke up in June 2013.
Now, the feisty Geordie thinks she's finally found 'the one'.
Vicky told heat magazine: "I do hope a [proposal] happens in the future. [James] is the first bloke that's ever ticked all of my boxes."
'Geordie Shore' airs Tuesdays at 10pm on MTV.

Bellamy Young against Scandal romance

Scandal's Bellamy Young hopes Olivia Pope and President Fitz Grant don't get a happy ending.
The 44-year-old actress - who plays Fitz's scorned wife, the First Lady of the United States, Mellie Grant - has admitted she doesn't want her on-screen husband (played by Tony Goldwyn) to sail off into the sunset with his mistress, played by Kerry Washington, when the series ends.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I certainly hope not! How horrible [of me]! I like to think of Olivia as a short term problem. I'd like to think of Olivia as something Fitz will get over, I like to think of a time when perhaps Mellie is president and Fitz is the First Gentleman, but these are things that Mellie likes to think of."
Bellamy's vicious character often gets into heated arguments with Olivia, but the actress says the atmosphere on set is far from bleak when the cameras stop rolling.
She explained: "I'm lucky because we're the closest cast ever, it's the sweetest bunch of people - so kind, so hard working. And we love to embrace it together and we spend a lot time off set together."
Bellamy says her close friendship with Kerry, 37, allows them to be mean and nasty when filming scenes between Mellie and her love rival Olivia, and they embrace the opportunity to run wild.
The flame-haired star enthused: "There's just no more fun than when you get to be that completely unleashed and you can't be that completely unleashed unless you really trust who you're with. So it's a credit to what a love she is that we enjoy all of that ranting as much as we do."
'Scandal' Season 3 starts on July 31 at 9pm on Sky Living.

Pink Floyd’s new album is ‘spacey’

Pink Floyd's new album will be "very spacey."
The iconic rock group - consisting of Nick Mason and David Gilmour - are set to release 'The Endless River,' their first record since 1994, in October but fans are likely to be shocked by the hotly anticipated LP.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "It's not what fans will necessarily expect. The other songs, which David has worked on with (drummer) Nick Mason, are lengthy instrumentals rather than straight-up rock.
"It's beautiful but not exactly 'Another Brick in the Wall' or 'Wish You Were Here.' It's very spacey."
The album will feature unreleased material from 1994 recording sessions with late keyboardist Richard Wright, who died of cancer in 2008.
The insider explained: "It's got lots of keyboards from Rick so you can see why the band are calling it his swansong. The track that Gilmour recorded vocals on will be the band's last-ever real song. It's a proper epic and a fitting farewell."
Hopes that the band might tour again were shot down when Rick died six years ago, and it appears the 'Comfortably Numb' hitmakers aren't keen on doing a farewell tour either.
The source added: "It would probably be the highest-grossing tour in history if they reunited with Roger Waters. But Gilmour just won't have it. This album really is the end of Pink Floyd -- for ever."

Sir Mick Jagger’s grandchildren help him through L’Wren’s death

Sir Mick Jagger's grandchildren have helped him through the death of his partner L'Wren Scott.
The Rolling Stones rocker has been seeking comfort in the birth of his grandson Ray and great-granddaughter Ezra following the fashion designer's suicide in March.
Jade, who gave birth to her third child Ray last month, told Hello! magazine: "My dad loves babies. He's really good with them and is a big family man. He's been through a difficult time but it's been great to have two new babies in the family with the joy they bring."
The 71-year-old singer became a great-grandfather for the first time in May after Jade's daughter Assisi, 21, gave birth to baby Ezra four weeks before the former model, 42, welcomed Ray into the world.
Jade explained: "It was quite peculiar that the pregnancies happened at the same time. I can't help but have a sense of humour about it. But becoming a grandmother doesn't faze me or make me feel older.
"I don't feel like a grandmother, because the babies are so close in age it almost feels like they are brother and sister. We're lucky. It's been really great."
Sir Mick also has daughter Karis, 43, with Marsha Hunt, Lizzie 30, James, 28, Georgia, 21, and Gabriel, 16, with model Jerry Hall, and 14-year-old son Lucas form a brief romance with TV presenter Luciana Gimenez.

Shakira is pregnant again

Shakira is reportedly pregnant with her second child.
The 37-year-old singer and her soccer player partner Gerard Piqué - who already have 19-month-old son Milan together - are said to be overjoyed about the prospect of becoming parents again later this year.
Columbian singer Carlos Vives, a close friend of Shakira, told Fox News Latino: "Yes, she is pregnant and she's very happy."
The 'Hips Don't Lie' hitmaker first sparked rumours she is expecting again after she "toned down" her belly dancing performance at the Fifa World Cup 2014 final between Germany and Argentina two weeks ago.
The blonde beauty and her beau, whom she met in 2010, are yet to confirm the news, but it is believed they will be "buying pink baby clothes this autumn."
Meanwhile, Shakira previously admitted that she would like to have a large family with Gerard, but had been forced to put her baby plans on hold for a while as her budding career was getting in the way.
She said earlier this year: "If it weren't because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already. I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard--my own soccer team."

Dolly Parton would sing own songs in biopic

Dolly Parton would perform her own songs in a movie of her life.
The 'Jolene' hitmaker doesn't want an actress to have the "pressure" of having to match her famous vocals in a biopic, so would allow them to lip-sync to tracks she has already recorded for them.
Discussing the movie of her life, she told the Guardian newspaper: "We've actually got to finish it all, but there are a lot of great people out there. I would probably sing my own songs so it would just need to be the perfect actress, they wouldn't have to have the pressure of having to sing it also. But for the stage, that would be a different thing altogether."
Dolly is still keen for Scarlett Johansson to portray her on the big screen, but when it comes to a stage musical, she thinks 'Glee' and 'The West Wing' star Kristin Chenoweth would be perfect as she could handle the singing aspects.
She added: "I think [whoever plays me] would have to have the right personality. I think they would have to have some big boobs.
"I think somebody like Scarlett Johansson, somebody like that as an actress for the film, whereas a Kristin Chenoweth would be great for stage, because she's little and has that great voice.
"At one time, back when I had started working on this film several years ago, I had thought about Scarlett Johansson. They're all bigger than me, of course, but that doesn't matter."

Courtney Love talks new Kurt Cobain biopic

Courtney Love says a new biopic of her late husband Kurt Cobain will go into production next year.
The Hole frontwoman has claimed that she, her and Kurt's daughter Frances Bean Cobain and Nirvana's Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic will be involved in casting and production.
She told the Philippine Daily Inquirer: "CAA (Creative Artists Agency) directly sent me actors' (demo) reels. That was really tough because these boys are so pretty, so cute. I won't name names because I don't want to jinx it for anyone but these are 25-year-olds who are blond, gorgeous and the new Brad Pitts.
"There's a ton of those. Some are really good actors, not just pretty faces. I don't want to be the person who makes that decision. Let's leave that to the agents; I have great agents now. But I will have a say in it."
Courtney previously claimed she can't go out in Hollywood without someone asking her to take part in a biopic of the late Nirvana singer, who committed suicide aged 27 on April 5, 1994.
She said: "Honey, I can't go out in Hollywood at night without somebody grabbing me and saying 'I want to be a part of this', and we're talking to the biggest producers in town."

One Direction plan ‘squeaky clean’ movie

One Direction's new movie will portray the band as squeaky clean popstars.
The 'Little Things' hitmakers - who released a film about their lives on the road, 'This is Us', last August - will bring out 'Where We Are: The Concert Film' in over 50 countries on October 11 and 12.
The concert was filmed in Milan's San Siro Stadium on June 28 and 29 as part of the Italian leg of their current world tour, and will also include behind-the-scenes footage captured by the group's friend Ben Winston and a previously unseen interview with band members Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan.
And while it will include backstage footage, they are being careful not to include anything which could upset their young fanbase.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "One Direction's team are being even more conscious than normal following Louis' leaked video of him and Zayn smoking cannabis hit the headlines.
"Producer Ben Winston has reviewed the footage to make sure no drug paraphernalia, cigarettes or dirty ashtrays are on camera.
"Understandably, any reference to the video will never see the light of day either."
The film is executive produced by Simon Cowell and has been made by Fulwell 73, the same company behind 'This Is Us'.

Friends worried about ‘reclusive’ George Michael

Friends are worried that George Michael has become a "recluse".
The 51-year-old singer has allegedly "cut himself off from the world" and only allows his best friend David Austin to visit him at his North London home following a difficult few years which included a split from longtime love Kenny Goss and numerous health scares.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Since splitting from Kenny and all his problems, he's just gone off the radar.
"People are just worried sick about him. He's just cut himself off from everyone.
"It was really down to Kenny that he was actually out- even if it was just going to the cinema locally or for a meal.
"He hasn't been seen out for months, he's self-conscious about the scars on his throat and head, caused by the M1 incident, and he's put on weight."
Last year he fell out of a car on the fast lane of the M1 motorway and was airlifted to hospital and now he rarely leaves his house.
The insider said: "He watches tons of DVDs, has staff to book his meals, such as pasta, and spends a lot of his time in his recording space writing but he turns down offers to collaborate with others.
"It's not good, creative or healthy."
