German DJ Paul van Dyk has slammed artists who all "sound the same".
As a pioneer of the electronic dance genre, the musician has spoken out against DJs who copy each other and thinks they all sound indistinguishable from one another.
Talking to Radio.com, the Grammy Award-nominated DJ vented about the situation, explaining: "The problem I see, let's call it 'EDM soup', it's all sounding the same. It's like, I'm pretty sure even fans of this music can't say, 'This is the new track by this person' or, 'That new track by that person', because they all sound the same.
"I don't want electronic music to die once the EDM hype is over. This music is there to stay forever, therefore we need to focus on artists who made music that lasts longer than three minutes on the radio."
The 42-year-old DJ also expressed his frustration with DJs who are too reliant on technology to do their job for them, although Paul does admit that he currently has a large amount of kit to assist him when doing a gig.
He said: "When I'm playing now, I pretty much have a recording studio with me onstage. I have keyboards, computers, custom made mixers, a lot of controllers that enable me to be really interactive and actually play things,
"I prefer maybe me pressing the wrong key at some point and still be able to be live than everything being programmed and you just put the USB stick in the CD player, press play and then [wave your hands]. That has nothing to do with what electronic music means to me and the real followers of electronic music."
Dwayne Johnson says Hercules would "knock Superman into next week".
The 42-year-old actor stars as the Greek hero in the Brett Ratner film of the same name and claims his character would definitely win in a fight against comic book superhero Superman.
Quizzed on who he thinks would win in a fight between his Hercules and 'Man of Steel' star Henry Cavill's Superman, he told Digital Spy: "I know Henry very well, he's a buddy of mine, and who would win in a fight between Hercules and Superman? Just to be clear, you're talking about my Hercules against Henry's Superman? [Yes].
"I would take my club and I would knock Superman into next week and then I would whoop his ass for leaving. That's what I would do."
The 'Fast & Furious 7' actor went on to insist that Hercules is the original and best superhero as he doesn't hide behind a disguise.
He explained: "I think at his core, the idea and the notion that he accepts who he is ... he accepts the man who he was born to be. I think that type of notion is profound to all of us whether we're men or women.
"But it's that power that we have ... the most powerful person you can be is yourself and it takes us a long time to get there and in this case it's taken Hercules thousands of years, but he still got there."
Cheryl Cole celebrated her surprise wedding with a second party in London last night (21.07.14).
The 'Call My Name' hitmaker threw a private bash at The Library Members Club for friends and family following her and her beau Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini's small wedding in Mustique on July 7.
Cheryl's former bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts were seen entering the plush building, as was her mother Joan, before food from La Roche restaurant was carried into the venue.
An onlooker told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "There was lots of pitta and dips. It looked delicious."
Cheryl announced she had tied the knot with the French hunk last week after posting a photograph of her sparkling engagement ring and wedding band.
She wrote alongside the Instagram snap: "I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news... Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14.. We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together.. (sic)."
The pair began dating just three months ago and went public with their relationship at the Cannes Film Festival in May before moving in together at Cheryl's luxury mansion in the UK last month.
Zach Braff doesn't want a famous girlfriend.
The 39-year-old actor - who once dated Mandy Moore - doesn't want to have another high-profile relationship because he hates how paparazzi "hound" him.
Speaking to Howard Stern on his radio talk show yesterday (21.07.14), he said: "I don't want to date the super-famous girls. Remember I did that once before when I dated Mandy Moore, and I didn't like it.
"When you date another famous person that's when they really hound you. That's when the paparazzi are outside your house and that's when you can't ride your bike through Manhattan because they follow you."
Meanwhile, the hunky star called time on his five-year relationship with girlfriend Taylor Bagley in April, but the former couple have remained friends since.
The actor's representative confirmed at the time: "Zach and Taylor broke up over a month ago. They are continuing their friendship but are no longer a couple."
It is believed the pair split up as the beauty wanted to get married and Zach wasn't ready to settle down.
Charlie Sheen's fiancée reportedly wants an "over-the-top wedding".
Brett Rossi is trying to persuade the 'Anger Management' star to hire a celebrity wedding planner for their big day in Autumn, but he's reportedly starting to get fed up of her demanding attitude.
A source told RadarOnline.com: "This wedding will be over the top, but Brett is being an absolute nightmare to deal with. She truly has become a real diva and no one likes dealing with her."
The upcoming nuptials will be Charlie's fourth trip down the aisle, while Brett has only been married once before, but she's adamant this time will be better than the last.
The source explained: "[Expect Brett] to wear a custom couture wedding gown, nothing off the rack for her! This will be very different from Brett's first wedding."
Meanwhile, the loved-up couple have invited Charlie's ex-wife Brooke Mueller, with whom he has five-year-old twins Max and Bob, to the lavish event.
Charlie, 48, and Brett, are keen for Max and Bob to have a role in their big day and are planning on giving them "special gifts" to help them fit in to their new family.
Charlie proposed to his 24-year-old girlfriend during a trip to Hawaii in February, but their wedding was put on hold while Brett finalised her divorce from her first husband, Jonathan Ross.
Kanye West claims he's a "blowfish".
The 37-year-old rapper - who has hit the headlines on numerous occasions for allegedly attacking paparazzi - claims he's not as bad as people make out and he only attacks when he feels threatened by something.
Speaking in the new issue of GQ magazine, he said: "I don't have fangs. I'm a porcupine. I'm a blowfish. Like, I'm a -- what's that fish that blows up? Yeah, I'm a blowfish. I'm not a shark, I'm a blowfish ... I'm defending my name as someone's screaming something negative at me. That's a blowfish. People have me pinned as a shark or a predator in some way, and in no way am I that. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone. I want to defend people. I want to help people."
The hunky star - who has 13-month-old daughter North with his wife Kim Kardashian - admits he felt the need to defend himself in order to gain respect from others.
He explained: "My goal is just to be respected as a man when I walk down the street with my family.
"I don't care what your job is, you're not gonna talk down to me, you're not gonna try to get a rise out of me. I'm a man first. And in establishing that, some interesting things have happened."
Kim Kardashian has "no sympathy" for her brother Rob.
The sock designer, 27, has plunged into depression after piling on the pounds, but the 33-year-old beauty doesn't feel sorry for him and thinks he needs to stop moping and do something to improve the situation.
Speaking in last night's (20.07.14) episode of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians', she said to her sister Khloé, 30, after Rob failed to attend a family vacation to Thailand: "We've all been here to offer him help and he won't take it, so I don't have sympathy."
Kim then turned to the camera and explained: "I think I'm just more of the tough love kind of person. My personality is like, 'All right, you complain, you don't like it, get up and do something about it.' "
However, Khloé insists Rob's weight gain isn't the only thing that has pushed him into depression as he also struggled to deal with the brunette beauty's split from estranged husband Lamar Odom last year.
She said: "Rob has deeper issues than just weight."
Meanwhile, Kim and Rob reportedly haven't spoken since he refused to attend her wedding to Kanye West in May after she mocked his recent weight gain.
A source said previously: "Kim and Rob haven't been speaking to each other for months -- she thinks he is lazy, and bringing down the family name because of his physical appearance."

Ellen DeGeneres is reportedly giving up alcohol.
The chat show host has decided to ditch the booze in a bid to help her wife Portia de Rossi stay sober following her alleged stint in rehab in May for substance abuse.
A source told US OK! magazine: "Ellen has always been a big drinker.
"She loves her wine but she's realised her behaviour has only enabled Portia to drink as well, and she feels partially responsible for Portia's rehab stint."
Ellen, 56, who married the actress in 2008, is determined to do anything to make sure Portia, 41, remains healthy following the successful 30-day stint at Passages Malibu rehab facility.
The source explained: "Ellen loves Portia more than anything in the world and wants to make sure she's healthy, emotionally and physically. She's realised that drinking in front of Portia is just selfish. Right now their marriage is better than it's been in years, and Ellen is just grateful that her wife is healthy again. She's ready to enjoy every minute that she has with Portia."
Meanwhile, this wasn't the first time Portia has been admitted to a rehabilitation centre as she also sought treatment for an eating disorder in 2000 after her weight reportedly plunged to just 82lbs.
A full inquest into the death of Peaches Geldof is to begin on Wednesday (23.07.14).
The hearing will be opened at Gravesend Old Town Hall in Kent, South East England, after a preliminary inquest in May, which lasted just ten minutes, revealed heroin could have "played a role" in the star's death.
It is thought the blonde beauty may have died of an overdose, but the hearing this week could determine whether she took her own life three months ago, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
The body of the TV personality was discovered "slumped over the bed" by her husband Thomas Cohen at the home they shared with their sons Astala, two, and Phaedra, 15 months, in Wrotham, Kent, on April 7.
A post-mortem carried out on April 9 at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford proved to be "inconclusive", so samples of her blood and tissue were sent off to the laboratory for toxicology testing, which later revealed that the Class-A drug had been in her system.
The 25-year-old star's mother Paula Yates also died from the same substance in 2000, leaving behind daughters Peaches, Pixie, Fifi and Tiger-Lily.
Peaches - who had reportedly become increasingly obsessed with her mother's death - was laid to rest at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence Church in Davington, Kent, on Easter Sunday (21.04.14).
Kanye West believes everyone needs some "Kim Kardashian skills" to win at life.
The 37-year-old rapper married the reality TV star two months ago following two years of dating and he insists his life and career have blossomed ever since.
Speaking in the new issue of GQ magazine, he explained: "What I had to learn from Kim is how to take more of her advice and less of other people's advice.
"There's a lot of Kim K skills that were added. In order to win at life, you need some Kim K skills, period."
The couple tied the knot in Florence, Italy, on May 24 surrounded by their friends and family, but Kanye admits his beau was the "most important" person in attendance.
Asked whether Jay Z and Beyonce snubbed the wedding out of fear of too much press coverage, Kanye said: "It doesn't even matter to me whatsoever, who would show up. Because the most important person to show up there, to me, was Kim."
The loved-up duo have 13-month-old daughter North together and the 'Bound 2' hitmaker can't believe how much his life has changed since the tot was born.
Asked how his life is different now in comparison to a year ago, he replied: "Family is super cool. Going home to one girl every night is super cool. Just going home and getting on the floor and playing with your child is super cool. Not wearing a red leather jacket, and just looking like a dad and s***, is like super cool. Having someone that I can call Mom again. That s*** is super cool."
Justin Theroux's life has "changed a lot" since he began dating Jennifer Aniston.
The 42-year-old actor struck up a relationship with the former 'Friends' star in 2011 and proposed to her a year later, but he admits he initially struggled to deal with the press coverage surrounding their blossoming romance.
Speaking in the new issue of ELLE magazine, he said: "More people are like, 'Hey, man!' And I don't think that's from my role in 'John Adams'. But it only changed as much as I engaged with it, and I learned very quickly: don't ever engage with it. It was a learning curve, but it wasn't as traumatic as you might expect.
"It's [press coverage is] just annoying. Occasionally you'll get a stewardess congratulating you, on, I don't know, whatever, some three-headed baby we just had."
However, the hunky star insists the negative press doesn't put a strain on their relationship, but he does often wonder why everyone is so obsessed with them.
He said previously: "It doesn't feel like a hardship, it doesn't feel difficult. It can be an annoyance, but it's not the end of the world. You have to centre on what its core thing is, which is that you met someone you fell in love with. It's hard to explain. I just find myself wondering, 'What's the big f**king deal?"
