Prince Harry hates Twitter

Britain's Prince Harry hates Twitter.
The 29-year-old royal has hit out at the social networking platform, which allows users to share their thoughts in 140 characters or less, because it's an "invasion of his privacy".
Prince Harry made the comments at Bethnal Green Academy in east London, where 60 children were being taught how to use Twitter and Facebook to help promote the upcoming Invictus Games, a charitable Paralympics-style event for wounded servicemen and women that the royal has helped organise.
Speaking to pupils yesterday (21.07.14), he said: "I would love to get involved and go on social media and if it was for causes like this I really would.
"The issue for myself and my family, put quite simply, is that it's very hard for me to tweet about the Invictus Games and tweet about something that means a lot to me, whereas I at the same time really quite hate Twitter by the invasion of privacy."
He added: "I'm not on social media but I used to be."
The royal has been organising the Invictus Games for over a year and the event will take place in September at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London, in September.
He said: "For me this is an opportunity for the British public to say thank you to these people from across the world for their service."

Britain’s Duchess Catherine for solo tour

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge is to embark on her first solo royal tour.
The 32-year-old royal is to travel to Malta without the accompaniment of her husband Prince William and their son Prince George, the Daily Mirror newspaper reports.
Duchess Catherine will travel to the Mediterranean island on behalf of the Queen in late September, to join in with the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of its independence from the United Kingdom and will stay for two days.
Malta is said to be a country close to the Queen's heart as she lived there for two years while she and her husband Prince Philip were newlyweds, as he was serving in the Royal Navy, and she reportedly cherishes the memory of living a relatively normal life during her stay on the island.
Meanwhile, Catherine and William are today (22.07.14) celebrating the first birthday of their son, having released an official family photo and statement ahead of the landmark occasion yesterday (21.07.14).
The couple said: "We would like to take this opportunity on George's first birthday to thank everyone over the last year, wherever we have met them, both at home and overseas, for their warm and generous good wishes to George and our family."

Michael Le Vell signs up for Celebrity Big Brother

Michael Le Vell has signed up for 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
The troubled 'Coronation Street' actor - who plays mechanic Kevin Webster - is reportedly in "advanced talks" to appear on the next series of the Channel 5 reality show in August.
Michael, 49, was cleared of sex offences in court last year after a long, emotional trial which took a toll on him. Earlier this year, the soap star admitted to abusing cocaine and alcohol during the court case and entered rehab in March.
'CBB' bosses were hoping to land both Michael and his 82-year-old co-star William Roache, who was cleared of historic sex offences last year, but the 'Corrie' legend declined the offer.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "They wanted a double-whammy of Le Vell and Roach. Bill was their main target but Le Vell is now a man transformed."
Michael recently said he looked forward to returning to 'Corrie' after taking a break to seek treatment in the aftermath of his cocaine admission.
He wrote on Facebook: "I'm so looking forward to getting back to the job I love and all the people there who are like my second family, I love them all."

Lydia Bright accused of faking Arg romance

Lydia Bright has been accused of faking her romance with James 'Arg' Argent.
'The Only Way is Essex' star - who recently returned to the show after quitting in 2012 - has only reignited her relationship with Arg in order to get back on the hit ITV2 show, it's claimed.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The truth is she's not into him at all. She regretted quitting and they are a power couple.
"Everyone loves the on/off drama of their romance. She has a mortgage, a car to keep and her business to run."
On Sunday (20.07.14), viewers watched as Arg and Lydia rekindled their romance by sleeping together after a night out.
The fashion designer - who broke up with Arg in 2012 after discovering that he had been unfaithful - admitted to her mum Debbie Douglas that she was unsure if she wanted to make things official with her ex-boyfriend.
The 'TOWIE' star later told Arg she didn't want to lead him on by attending their mutual friend's wedding together.
Lydia explained: "I don't want your head to run away and start planning a future together when my head isn't there yet."
However, Arg didn't appear to be listening as he told co-star Lewis Bloor: "I never thought I was going to get [Lydia] back. I'm so happy but I'm so overwhelmed by it.
"For the past two years I didn't think I stood a chance. I'm scared that I'm dangerously in love."

Katherine Parkison backs all-male panel shows

Katherine Parkinson says men are better than women at panel shows.
The 'IT crowd' actress argues that as the concept of team-led comedy quiz shows was developed by men, they are better suited to appearing on programmes such as 'Mock the Week'..
She told Radio Times: "The format was invented by men, like the stand-up format, and men excel most at it.
"I know producers try to invite women on. But we don't feel it's a natural fit for our abilities. We can't ignore the difference between sexes when it comes to humour. With men it's spikier."
The decision to ban all-male panel shows on the BBC was made in February by television controller Danny Cohen.
The controversial move has been backed by comedian Rufus Hound, who thinks all-male panel shows "should be a thing of the past".
Hound appeared as a panellist on 'Celebrity Juice' from 2008 to 2012 and believes there are plenty of funny women who can entertain TV audiences.
He previously said: "Panel shows often set out a combative premise because, traditionally, men like the feeling of a fight, so the nature of those shows may have to change to allow women the tools to be as incredibly funny as they are."

Emmerdale’s Dan to leave Kerry at altar?

Emmerdale's Dan Spencer may leave Kerry Wyatt at the altar.
Viewers will be left guessing whether the soap couple, whose wedding airs this week, will actually tie the knot after Dan - played by Liam Fox - discovers Kerry (Laura Norton) kissed his brother Daz (Mark Jordon).
Liam told the Daily Star newspaper: "She's waiting at the church and is not convinced he's going to turn up., she thinks it might be all over and Dan's in his wedding suit but his mind is all over the place. He's just not sure.
"If it goes ahead he's going to have a beautiful, colourful wedding. But if he does, can he ever trust his brother around his wife again? He doesn't know which way to turn."
Another spanner is thrown in the works when Kerry and Dan end up at the local police station on their wedding day.
Dan learns his brother is a conman and has been duping David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden).
Liam said: "At the police station he discovers Daz has already got a police record and puts two and two together and realises what Daz has been up to for the last few weeks."

Marilyn Manson begged for SOA role

Marilyn Manson "wore down" the 'Sons of Anarchy' creator to land a role in the show.
The 'Rock is Dead' hitmaker will play "a white supremacist prison shot-caller" named Ron Tully in the final season of the programme and showrunner Kurt Sutter admits his friend, a long-standing fan of the drama, was desperate for a role.
He said: "Manson, I became friends with through some music buddies. He's a huge fan of the show. That was him just wearing me down. We found a great role for him and he's great."
Kurt admitted he loves casting "outside the box" and the decision to hire Courtney Love to play a teacher in the upcoming series fitted perfectly with the "fun" he looks for in his cast.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour in Beverly Hills, he said: "I tend to do this every season, I like to do some casting that's a little bit outside the box, from Stephen King to David Hasselhoff. We try to do stuff that's fun.
"Courtney I don't know as well [as Manson]. I got to meet her a couple times and I was a huge Nirvana fan. We had this role of a school teacher and I thought, 'Who better than Courtney Love?' It sort of fits into our parameters of 'Sons of Anarchy' casting."

Mark Ruffalo has lost wallet returned by fan

Mark Ruffalo had his lost wallet returned by a stranger who contacted him on Twitter.
The 46-year-old actor - who played The Hulk in 'The Avengers' - left his wallet in the back of a cab in Chicago, but was delighted it wasn't gone forever after a fan contacted him on the social networking site to say he had picked it up.
The good Samaritan tweeted to the star: "I have your wallet. Found it in a cab in Chicago on Friday. Let me know the best way to get it back to you. Thanks."
It took a couple of days for the actor to see the message, but he could barely contain his gratitude when he did respond.
He said: "Thank you! Wow! Another point for the decency in people."
The pair then reportedly exchanged a few direct messages on the social networking website to arrange the safe return of the wallet.
The 'Begin Again' actor later concluded: "You are a hero!"
Meanwhile, Mark recently expressed an interest in appearing in a Hulk solo movie, and he thinks it would be particularly fascinating to explore the conflict between his character Bruce Banner and his superhero alter ego.
He said recently: "It could get very boring to watch the guy who's moping around who doesn't want to do the very thing that we're all dying to see him do.
"And so I think that's the tough part of cracking that nut. I think that's what's made it problematical in the past. But I do feel like we've gained some ground on this new version of him, which has - he's sort of turning to face himself, and I think the relationship between Banner and The Hulk as a conscious conflict, it could be really interesting."

Katie Price ‘still loves’ Kieran Hayler

Katie Price still loves Kieran Hayler.
The former glamour model was left devastated when she discovered her husband had cheated on her with two of her close friends, and though her first instinct was to end their marriage, she is not rushing into a decision.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Katie - who is pregnant with her fifth child, her second with Kieran - explained: "I could throttle him but that doesn't mean I don't love him.
"When this happened I was straight onto my lawyer to get a divorce but I have taken a step back to give myself time to think. In a nutshell, I decided not to rip everything up without thinking everything through.
"I wanted to get through this period and have time to reflect. My life has been full of knee-jerk reactions and they've not always been the best things I've done."
The 36-year-old beauty - who also has children Harvey, 12, Junior, nine, and Princess, seven, from previous relationships, and 11-month-old Jett with Kieran - insists her relationship with Kieran is far from back to normal.
She added: "I haven't forgiven or forgotten, we are not sleeping in the same room or pretending all is fine. I'm going to help him get through his initial therapy, give birth and then we'll decide what's right for us."
Katie also confirmed that her former stripper husband has been undergoing rehabilitation to treat his addiction to sex, which involved a four-day stint in rehab followed by an intensive 12-week therapy programme where participants must abstain from sex for its duration, and will wait until his treatment ends before making a decision about their future together.
She said: "Kieran has been diagnosed with a compulsive sex addiction. It's like being a drug addict.
"The only reason I haven't kicked Kieran out is because I'm trying to understand why he's done this and the huge amount of effort he has put into his therapy."

Love soldier Jada Pinkett Smith

Jada Pinkett Smith is a "soldier for love".
The 'Gotham' actress admits she and husband Will Smith - with who she has children Jaden, 16, and 13-year-old Willow - have had tough times in their 18-year marriage, but know they just have to work harder during those periods.
She said: "You have to have kind of a warrior mentality. You have to be a solider for love. You have to be able to withstand tough times and just because the tough times come doesn't mean it's time to stop... it means it's time to dig in."
The 42-year-old actress believes the key to a successful marriage is to have a strong friendship with your partner.
She told 'Extra': "Your partner has to be your best, best, friend. And he's my best friend."
And while the couple have been subjected to numerous rumours about their marriage, the 'Ali' actress insists they are as strong as ever and are already making plans for their 20th wedding anniversary.
She said: "We're going to be celebrating 20 years in two years, so we're starting to plan now for a big 20th year."
Meanwhile, Jada is relishing her role as Fish Mooney in new series 'Gotham', which premieres in September.
She said: "She's pretty ruthless and violent. She has quite a temper."

One Direction to release new film

One Direction are to release what is expected to be the "biggest concert movie ever".
The 'Little Things' hitmakers - who released a film about their lives on the road, 'This is Us', last August - will bring out 'Where We Are: The Concert Film' in over 50 countries on October 11 and 12, promising a huge global audience for the screenings.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "This could become the biggest concert movie ever -- there's going to be more than 10,000 screenings internationally.
"So many 1D fans didn't get the chance to buy tickets to the band's show because the stadium tour sold out - but this means no one will have to miss out."
The concert was filmed in Milan's San Siro Stadium on June 28 and 29 as part of the Italian leg of their current world tour, and will also include behind-the-scenes footage captured by the group's friend Ben Winston and a previously unseen interview with band members Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan.
The film is executive produced by Simon Cowell and has been made by Fulwell 73, the same company behind 'This Is Us'.
The group's last film drew in over £40 million at the UK and US box office.

The Libertines promise ‘special’ release

The Libertines wants to do something "more special" than a new album.
The reunited 'I Get Along' group have been writing new material together, but they want to do something different to a regular release.
Drummer Gary Powell told XFM: "I think that would [be] the plan to maybe do a new album. But hopefully we're gonna maybe try something that might be a little bit different. Everybody does an album, everyone does an EP...
"We wanna do something that might be a little more special than just release another album. Everything we do has to be about the connectivity between us and our friends and family, being the fans. And we want to do something special for them."
Meanwhile, co-frontman Pete Doherty - who is joined in the band by Gary, Carl Barat and John Hassall - promised fans will get their first listen of new tracks when the group perform three shows at London's Alexandra Palace in September.
He said: "We're gonna be doing some new songs at Ally Pally. We were just working on one right now, before you came in. I can tell you that one of them has got this in it [makes a noise on a vintage typewriter]."
Gary previously admitted he and his bandmates would only record new material if their current run of European shows, including a performance in London's Hyde Park earlier this month, went well.
He said: "We're pretty much using this whole period of time as a lightness test for how we can move forward. It would be very easy to say 'yeah we'll do some new material', but, for instance, if we went and played Hyde Park and it wasn't well received and everybody hated it then it would be very difficult for the band to actually move forward."
