Jennie McAlpine never wants to leave Coronation Street

Jennie McAlpine never wants to leave 'Coronation Street'.
The 30-year-old actress has played the role of factory worker Fiz Stape for 13 years and has admitted she has no plans to leave the long-running ITV soap because she feels lucky to have a job she enjoys so much.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, she said: "I have spent my formative adult years on 'Coronation Street'. I've got some great mates at 'Corrie' and they are like my family. We are lucky, as we don't get sick of the sight of each other.
"Being in Corrie doesn't feel like hard work at all."
The flame-haired star, whose character is currently dating Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall), admits she'd like to become a 'Coronation Street' stalwart like Ken Barlow (William Roache) and Deirdre Barlow (Anne Kirkbride) or Jack (Bill Tarmey) and Vera Duckworth (Elizabeth Dawn).
She explained: "I am a massive fan of the show and you can see how it happens that people end up staying for so long.
"It's incredible. Let's hope 'Corrie' is here for another 50 years as I love being a part of it."
Fiz's relationship with Tyrone - which is currently under strain as Tyrone has been receiving messages from Maria Connor (Samia Ghadie) pretending to be his violent ex-fiancée Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) - has been likened to the on-screen marriage of Bill Tarmey and Elizabeth Dawn and she thinks that makes their characters more popular.
She added: "I do think they [Fiz and Tyrone] are really strong and I really do hope Fiz has found eternal happiness with Tyrone.
"I hope this story doesn't break them up forever. People love the fact that Fiz and Tyrone are together."

Matt LeBlanc: Everyone can relate to having an awful boss

Matt LeBlanc believes 'Episodes' is successful because the characters have to deal with issues everyone can relate to.
The 'Friends' actor - whose performance in the series won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in 2012 - plays a fictionalised version of himself in the BBC Two sitcom about the making of a TV show and like all good sitcoms it's the characters and their problems that make viewers want to tune in.
The 46-year-old star told the new issue of Radio Times magazine: "This isn't necessarily a show that's just about making a show. These characters are dealing with things like a horrible boss, infidelity, friendships gone bad, trust issues. Everybody can relate to having an awful boss or a cheating wife..."
His co-star Stephen Mangan cut in: "Or having a stalker."
Matt joked: "Right. Because everybody deals with having sex with their stalker ... It's very common. Like orange juice."
Matt enjoyed shooting the third series of 'Episodes' in London because he could focus fully on the show and not get distracted by anything else.
He said: "If you're at home and you're working on something, you still try to do as many of your normal chores as you can. When you're out of town working you can devote yourself 100 per cent to the project and to drinking ... I mean just to the project. No drinking. None."

Jeremy Clarkson ‘miserable’ over marriage woes

Jeremy Clarkson is "miserable" over the alleged breakdown of his marriage.
The 'Top Gear' presenter's wife Frances - who is credited with running his career - is said to have grown tired of his "juvenile" antics and alleged womanising and now wants to file for divorce to end their 21-year union.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "She is much more than just a wife. She looks after the money and even pays his income tax.
"Over the years they have had their ups and downs and it would be a lie to say that everything is rosy in the garden. Not least is the fact that Francie is fuming because she believes Jeremy is planning another Caribbean trip and is convinced one of his lady friends will be going along.
"She has turned a blind eye over the years, but every so often it all gets too much for her.
"Currently Jeremy is very much in the dog-house and Francie is not happy with him, she is happy doing her own thing at the moment.
"For his part Jeremy is miserable."
Frances is said to be "celebrating" her decision in Spain with friends, but friends of the 54-year-old presenter insist his marriage isn't over.
One pal said: "Yes they have been living apart. But they have been living apart for three years. Nothing has changed. They are not divorcing as far as I know."
If they do divorce, Frances - who has three children with the outspoken TV star - could be entitled to half her husband's £30 million fortune and Clarkson's first wife, Alex Hall, thinks she deserves every penny.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "She's done her penance. It is her hard work that has made him into the idol he is today.
"Jeremy is the frontman but behind the scenes she was the swan paddling frantically beneath the surface.
Frances has refused to comment on the reports she wants a divorce and asked if she could confirm or deny the story, she simply said: "No."

Ariel Winter guardianship case resolved

Ariel Winter's guardianship case has been resolved.
The 'Modern Family' actress - who plays Alex Dunphy in the series - will remain in the care of her older sister Shanelle Grey, who took on temporary custody of the 16-year-old star in 2012 after she claimed her mother, Chrisoula Workman, was physically and mentally abusing her.
At a hearing yesterday (05.05.14), Chrisoula agreed Ariel could continue living with her sister - if she watched a video montage of family photographs in court.
The young actress and other members of her family - including Chrisoula and Shanelle - sobbed as the video played, and then Superior Court Judge Daniel Murphy signed off on the custody agreement.
The judge advised it would be up to Ariel to decide if and when she would visit her mother, but he would keep jurisdiction over her care until she turns 18, and her father Glenn workman will remain in control of her finances.
After the hearing, Chrisoula - who vehemently denies abusing her daughter - and Shanelle issued a joint statement.
They said: "The family has moved beyond the conflict."
The statement also thanked well-wishers and said the family are working toward reconciliation.
Since moving in with her sister, Ariel has claimed she is much happier.
She said previously: "My life is definitely more normal - and that'll help me grow up like I'm supposed to."

However, Matt - who raises stepdaughter Alexia, 15, and daughters Isabella, seven, Gia, five, and three-year-old Stella with wife Luciana Barroso - insisted he doesn't know if his 53-year-old pal has any plans to start a family with his wife-to-be.
He said: "You gotta ask him that one. I don't know."
George's father Nick recently spoke of his happiness that his son is getting married again.

"We are thrilled at their decision and we hope for them the best."

Boy George: Moss romance is a ‘mystery’

Boy George's relationship with Jon Moss is a "mystery".
The 'Karma Chameleon' hitmaker thinks it is "weird" that there is no longer any "proof" he and his Culture Club bandmate - who has three children with ex-wife Barbara, who he split from in 2010 - were romantically involved until 1986, but insisted they are still close.
He said: "Our relationship is like a mystery. It's like, we know it happened, but there's not really proof anymore, it's kind of weird. We're really good friends now."
The 52-year-old star is proud of the fact he has remained friends with many of his ex-lovers, and admits he is now closer to some of his former flames than when they were in relationships.
Speaking to 'Access Hollywood Live', he said: "One of the great things is when you can grow up a bit and then of sort of be friends with the people you went out with. I have like three or four ex-lovers that I'm really good friends with and I'm probably better friends with them, now that we're not lovers, than we were when we were together."
Meanwhile, George admitted he thinks Justin Bieber is "gorgeous" and believes he and Miley Cyrus are so successful because of their androgynous appearances.
He explained: "[Justin Bieber] is gorgeous! ... I was in the store the other day and I was looking at Miley Cyrus and I was thinking, actually she has a kind of androgyny about her and similarly does Justin Bieber. And I think some of the biggest kind of stars have that kind of boy-girl thing."

Kimberley Walsh too excited to sleep

Kimberley Walsh is "too excited" to sleep.
The former Girls Aloud singer - who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Justin Scott - may be feeling more tired as her pregnancy progresses, but her favourite thing about settling down in bed at night is the fact it makes her baby move more.
She said: "I'm so happy as the baby's been moving more. When I'm lying in bed, it starts kicking and then I don't want to go to sleep as I'm too excited.
"So I lie awake chasing the baby around my stomach to make sure I feel all the movements."
The 32-year-old beauty is determined to stay as active as possible throughout her pregnancy so has splashed out on a treadmill to work out at home.
She wrote in her column for Britain's OK! magazine: "I got a treadmill delivered last week. There's not much I can safely do in the second stage of my pregnancy, but I can walk.
"I do prefer walking outside but I don't always want to go out on my own. I'm determined to do it for an hour each day so I think I'll just put my tunes on at home and hit the treadmill.
"I've always been active and this idea of not doing anything bothers me, so this is a good option for pregnant me."

Calvin Harris: I can still live a normal life

Calvin Harris insists he can still live a normal life despite being famous.
The superstar DJ, who has a weekly residence at Hakkasan club in Las Vegas, claims he only really gets noticed in the UK and America when he's with his pop star girlfriend Rita Ora.
Calvin explained: "I need to be in LA because I have a gig in Las Vegas every week.
"Now I have to cope with all this hot weather and sexy people.
"I'm lucky I can get to do music and do well and still do normal stuff unless I'm out with the missus - then I get a lot of attention."
But the star, who has been dating the 'R.I.P' hitmaker on/off since May last year, insists he doesn't have to deal with being in the spotlight too much because the couple don't see each other very often.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "We see each other like four days every two weeks, so it's like an issue when she's around. We'd probably get sick of each other if we had a whole month (together)."
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old DJ is celebrating his sixth UK number one with new track 'Summer', which sees him return to the microphone.
He explained: "I had two albums out before the last one, where I used to sing every song.
"(Now) if I have a song that I think suits my voice, I'll just do it myself. Most people don't even know it's me who sings."
