Colin Firth’s midlife crisis

Colin Firth has been going through his midlife crisis for more than two decades.
The 'Before I Go To Sleep' actor has admitted to enjoying a prolonged midlife crisis.
Talking to GQ magazine he joked: "My midlife crisis has been going on about 25 years.
"I haven't accepted that it's anything other than midlife, it will probably go on for another 25 years.
The 53-year-old star has just finished filming scenes for his action-packed role in the film, 'Freebird', which required hours of high intensity work outs with personal trainers.
When asked how it felt to prepare for the role, Colin shared: "There was this strange paradox. How can I feel more active and fitter than I've ever been when I'm supposed to be embracing my deterioration?"
The actor also emphasized that he never worries about where his next role will come from, although he did admit that he cares about the quality of the films he works on.
He told the magazine: "I don't think I've ever hit a point where I thought, 'Where's the next job coming from?' I've hit the point frequently where I thought, 'Where's the next good job coming from?' I think dissatisfaction is ever present."

Eddie Redmayne confused by Brief History of Time

Eddie Redmayne struggled to understand Professor Stephen Hawking's 'A Brief History of Time'.
The 32-year-old actor plays the physicist in his new film, 'The Theory of Everything', which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday (07.09.14), and has admitted that he failed to understand much of Stephen's famous book.
Talking to New York Daily News, Eddie joked: "It opens and I thought, 'I get this!' I get 20 pages in and I think, 'Hey, I'm about to understand how the universe works!'
"Then I get to about page 23, and he lost me. But I read the whole thing. Whether I understood it is another thing entirely!"
The handsome red head also revealed that he had studied the effects of motor neurone disease (also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), of which Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with in 1963 and has left him almost completely paralyzed.
He explained: "Whatever pain I was in [as an actor], I got to get up and walk at day's end. [Doing research] I met many people suffering from ALS who can't just do that."
Eddie then added that he was helped by an osteopath who assisted him through the tough physical process.
He said: "We had an amazing osteopath on set who saw that my spine was changing during the production. Because it would get quite physically demanding."

Cher postpones tour due to ‘acute viral infection’

Cher has postponed her tour after being struck down with an "acute viral infection" over the weekend.
The 68-year-old singer has been forced to delay the second leg of her 'Dressed to Kill' tour after she was ordered by doctors to be on bed rest for several days.
Cher - whose real name is Cherilyn Sarkisian - was supposed to be opening the tour in Albany, New York, on September 11 and performing in Manchester, New Hampshire, on September 13, but she has rescheduled the gigs for October 6 and October 7, respectively.
Ticket holders who are unable to attend the rescheduled dates will be entitled to a full refund, while the rest of the tour is expected to remain the same.
The second leg of the tour will now kick off on September 15 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Damien Rice to release new album

Damien Rice is releasing a new album.
The 40-year-old singer's latest offering, 'My Favourite Faded Fantasy', marks his first album in eight years, following on from his shortlist prize-wining 'O' in 2002, which sold two and a half million copies worldwide and his second studio album '9', which was released in 2006.
'My Favourite Faded Fantasy' - which was co-produced by the 'Canonball' hitmaker and Def Jam records founder Rick Rubin - will be released on Monday 3 November and is currently available to pre-order.
Damien said: "Sometimes you have to step away from what you love in order to learn how to love it again.
"I came to Rick mostly based on what I didn't know about him, rather than what I did. For some reason I just had a feeling that I would feel comfortable being open and being me and being vulnerable with Rick."
Meanwhile, Rick, 51, had been a huge fan of the singer since the release of 'O' in 2002.
He said:"He was my favourite new artist at the time. A lot of our work together was to help him see what was so clear to everyone else in the room."
The album's first single 'I Don't Want To Change you' is available to play on Spotify from today (09.09.14).

John Newman gets mistaken for Sam Smith

John Newman is always getting mistaken for Sam Smith.
The 'Love Me Again' hitmaker - who often sports a similar slicked back hairstyle to the 'Stay With Me' singer - says people get him confused with the Sam, 22, on a day to day basis.
Speaking to Rickie, Melvin and Charlie on their Kiss FM breakfast show, he said: "I get confused for Sam Smith, like, day in, day out.
"It's bad though. There was a press mess up at one point as well which didn't help, I was doing some press the other day and it was for this photography thing. The guy said he was a huge fan, and I looked down at the floor and he had loads of references of how they wanted to shoot Sam Smith. I said 'you think I'm Sam Smith' and then he walked off."
Host Rickie admitted he also struggled to differentiate between the boys' similar looks when he was introduced to John at the Brit Awards earlier this year.
He said: "I saw you at the Brits red carpet, and the person that brought you to me said 'and here's Sam Smith', that was the first time I'd met you as well."
However, there was no mistaking the 24-year-old singer as he joined Calvin Harris on stage at the DJ's iTunes Festival show at London's The Roundhouse on Sunday night (07.09.14) for a rendition of their brand new track 'Blame'.
The crowd went wild as John stepped out in a white suit jacket and black and showed off his dance moves as Calvin took to the decks.

Prince Harry ‘can’t wait’ to watch Prince William ‘suffer’ with second child

Britain's Prince Harry has joked he "can't wait" to watch Prince William "suffer more" with another child.
The 31-year-old royal and his wife Duchess Catherine - who already have 14-month-old son Prince George - announced yesterday (08.09.14) they're expecting their second child together, and the flame-haired hunk is looking forward to watching them juggle two children.
He said of the pregnancy: "It's very exciting news. I can't wait to see my brother suffer more and with any luck if it's a girl he'll suffer even greater, I think. I'd love to see him try and cope with that."
However, the prince, 29, believes his little nephew will be pleased to learn that he will have a little sibling.
He said: "I think George will be over the moon, he'll be thrilled having another little, smaller, brother or sister. So we'll wait and see. The family continues to grow."
Meanwhile, Harry is hopeful that Duchess Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton before she married William in 2011 - will overcome her severe morning sickness and be able to enjoy the pregnancy soon.
He explained: "I hope my sister-in-law gets better, and gets better soon. And the two of them have the opportunity to go through the whole process again in a little bit of peace and quiet.
"Last time I saw her, she was feeling OK, feeling pretty poorly but I think that's to be suspected. Luckily I'm not a woman so I don't have to go through that."

Prince William ‘immensely thrilled’ by baby news

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are "immensely thrilled' they're expecting another baby.
The couple, who got married in 2011, are overjoyed that their 14-month-old son Prince George will soon have a little sibling, even though Catherine has been struck down with severe morning sickness again.
Speaking after his visit to Oxford University yesterday (08.09.14), Prince William told the BBC: "She's feeling OK, it's been a tricky few days, a week or so, but obviously we're immensely thrilled, it's great news.
"It's early days but I'm hoping things settle down and she feels a bit better soon."
The happy news was announced yesterday by Kensington Palace after the Duchess - who was known as Kate Middleton before she married William - was forced to pull out of the visit, where they were expected to open a Chinese studies building.
A post on the British Monarchy Facebook page read: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.
"The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news."
The statement added: "As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum."
The statement continued: "Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today.
"The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace."
