Lacey Turner is "like a granny".
The 26-year-old actress admits she didn't spend a lot of time with her castmates while shooting 'Our Girl' because she favoured early nights in the tough conditions.
She said: "We had a few dinners, but I'm like a granny, I just go to bed early and I don't really drink, so I didn't bother visiting the wine lands in South Africa.
"I'd head back to the hotel after filming and it was like a mission; shower, eat, bed. I needed to be up at 4.30am for filming."
While she didn't socialise much with the rest of the cast, Lacey delighted them when she produced chocolate on set following a visit from her family.
She said: "I saved the day with chocolate. You can't get Galaxy in South Africa and in the end, I had family come out with 16 bags of Minstrels, which I shared with the cast.
"They melt in your pocket - you can squeeze them out the packet like a drink."
Ahead of filming the wartime drama, Lacey was sent to a boot camp and enjoyed the experience, though she found it tough.
She told Closer magazine: "Just training yourself to go into that heat was tough. It was tough because there were times when it was around 46 degrees and we were wearing boots, socks, trousers, a vest, helmet and body armour.
"We were running up and down mountains through rivers. I loved it, though I figured out I'd definitely rather work in the rain than the heat."

Polly Bergen has died aged 84.
The legendary actress - who was best known for her role in 'Cape Fear' - passed away today (20.09.14) surrounded by her friends and family at her home in Southbury, Connecticut, from natural causes.
Her publicist Judy Katz said in a statement: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of legendary actress and long-time friend and client, Polly Bergen. She died peacefully at her home in Southbury, Conn. this morning at 11.10am, surrounded by her family, long-time personal manager, Jan McCormack and close friends."
The brunette beauty's last big screen appearance was in the 2012 film 'Struck By Lightening', in which she played Chris Colfer's grandmother.
The 'Glee' star took to his Twitter account shortly after Polly's death was announced to express his sadness.
He wrote: "Farewell to my dear friend, Polly. I'm so blessed to have had you in my life. No one could make me smile or laugh like you. I will miss you with all my heart. 'Grandma' for a movie, but family for life."
Polly was also an established singer and released a number of albums throughout her successful career.
She also made her Broadway debut in 'John Murray Anderson's Almanac' in 1953.
In recent years, she played Felicity Huffman's mother on the ABC drama 'Desperate Housewives'.
Meanwhile, Polly, who had battled emphysema in the past as a result of 50 years of smoking, is survived by her children Peter Fields, Kathy Lander and Pamela Fields, as well as her three grandchildren.

Kim Kardashian West has become the latest celebrity to allegedly have naked photographs leaked online.
The 33-year-old reality TV star may have fallen victim to the recent hacking scandal after explicit images, believed to be of her, were reportedly uploaded on to photo-sharing website 4chan, Reddit and Twitter earlier today (20.09.14), just three weeks after pictures of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton were shared online.
However, it is not known whether the racy photographs of Kim are authentic or where they were allegedly stolen from, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
Meanwhile, it is believed a nude image of Liam Payne, 21, was also published on Twitter this morning and allegedly shows someone with a resemblance to the singer sitting on a bed wearing nothing but a black hat, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
The One Direction hunk is yet to comment on the alleged naked photograph of himself and the snap is still circulating on the social networking site.
Meanwhile, more than 100 celebrities were affected by the scandal last month after an identified hacker stole explicit images and videos from Apple's iCloud service.
Apple said it was "outraged" by the attack and encouraged users to update their accounts with a "strong" password and enable two-step verification.
Other stars believed to have been targeted in the hacking scandal, include Avril Lavigne, Vanessa Hudgens, Lake Bell, Rihanna and Kirsten Dunst.

Pete Wentz believes he's "great" at changing nappies.
The Fall Out Boy rocker has picked up a new skill since he welcomed his son Saint Lazslo into the world with his girlfriend Meagan Camper on August 20.
Speaking to PEOPLE.com, he said: "I'm a great diaper changer. There are a lot of things that go into it. Speed is a big part of it."
The 35-year-old hunk also has five-year-old son Bronx with his ex-wife Ashlee Simpson and insists he's prepared for what the future may hold as a father.
He explained: "I know the phases now, I know that they change and you are on the roller coaster and there are ups and downs and you're not falling off the ride."
Meanwhile, Pete admits little Bronx couldn't be less interested in his celebrity status and finds it funny when people are eager to have a picture with him.

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have "pretty much moved in together."
The couple - who have been dating since late June - have been "inseparable" over the past few months and have been spending a lot of time at the Coldplay frontman's £10 million home in Malibu, California.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "This is it for Chris. He adores her and they've become inseparable. She has pretty much moved in."

Frankie Bridge's Saturdays bandmates think she'll be a "stand-out" on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The brunette beauty showcased some of her fancy footwork on stage at The SSE Arena, Wembley, London during the group's Greatest Hits tour last night (19.09.14) and the rest of the band think she has what it takes to scoop the glitterball trophy.

Jennifer Lawrence supported Chris Martin at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
The 24-year-old actress turned up at the music event, held at MGM Grand Garden Arena, on Friday (19.09.14) to watch her beau perform with his band Coldplay and was even spotted sneaking into his dressing room.
A post on Twitter from from official IHeartRadio account read: "SPOTTED #JenniferLawrence Backstage! Wonder who she's here to see? *Cough New b/f #ChrisMartin Cough* #iHeartRadio (sic)."
Just two days before, the 'Hunger Games' star "couldn't take her eyes" off the hunk, 37, as she sung along to the band's lyrics during their performance at the Ace Hotel Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
A source said at the time: "She danced the entire time.
"She knew every word to every song and there was a glisten in her eye as she watched Chris perform.
"She couldn't take her eyes off him."
The blonde beauty was even said to have shared a special moment with Chris - who split from Gwyneth Paltrow in March after 10 years of marriage - when he sang the group's recent hit 'Magic'.
The source added: "Jennifer stared adoringly at Chris, both hands in the hair, dancing and singing along."
Jennifer and Chris have been dating since late June and although they've been spending a lot of time together recently, the singer has also been seeing Gwyneth for the sake of their children, daughter Apple, 10, and eight-year-old son Moses.

Demi Lovato has injured her arm.
The 22-year-old singer worried fans last night (19.09.14) after she posted a picture of her wrist in a sling on Instagram, just hours before her 'Demi Lovato: World Tour' gig in San Antonio, Texas.
Alongside the snap, she wrote: "Welp. Looks like I won't be playing guitar, piano OR drums tonight. San Antonio... Why did you have to go and make me fall so hard for you?!! #demiworldtour (sic)."
This isn't the only injury the brunette beauty has sustained this summer as she also sprained her ankle in July after going for a quick run.
She tweeted, alongside a picture of her swollen ankle, at the time: "Umm soooo... I guess when I went running and twisted my ankle I actually did hurt myself... AGAIN. Hahaha (sic)."

Paloma Faith lied about her age to get a record deal.
The 'Picking Up the Pieces' hitmaker told bosses she was 23 when she was actually 27 at the time because she thought she was too old to get signed.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: "When I was asked what my age was in that first meeting, I blurted out 23, when I was actually 27.
"I didn't plan on doing it beforehand and it wasn't a calculated thing. It was only afterwards I realised why I said it ... I felt that everyone was going to focus on my age, not my music ... I think if I'd said I was 27, I wouldn't have got signed. One hundred per cent."
She added: "Of course now everyone is like, 'Oh we didn't mind' but I think if I'd come out and been honest in the first place, they'd have been like, 'Oh, she's a bit old and she's making all these mistakes.' "

She explained: "People talk about Madonna, saying she should stop wearing all that stuff, she's too old for that kind of thing now. But why? She's been doing it all along. She's entitled to wear that but at the same time, it was important for her to do that, back in the day."

Natalie Imbruglia wants to buy a house in Australia.
The 39-year-old singer, who was born in Sydney, has been living in London for 20 years but she's now considering moving back to her native home next year and buying a property with a vegetable patch.
Speaking to Australia's Daily Telegraph, she said: "It's time for a veggie garden! I've never had my own place here, so it's a new beginning."
However, the brunette beauty still manages to experience some home comforts when she's in the UK as she gets her mother to send her calorific treats, which are only available in Australia.

Meanwhile, Natalie - who shot to fame after starring in soap opera 'Neighbours' in the '90s - recently admitted that she's considering joining dating app Tinder, which lets users judge each other based on appearance, in the hope of finding love and believes it's a great way to get to know someone before you meet them in person.
She said: "That's how all my friends in London are meeting people. Why not? You can establish where someone is at before you meet them through texting and discussion."

Jessie Ware would "love to have a baby."
The 28-year-old singer can't wait to start a family with her husband Sam Burrows but admits her forthcoming new album 'Tough Love' and subsequent tour have put their baby plans on hold for the time being.
When asked if she would like to have children, she said: "We're just working out the best time to pop one [a baby] out!"
The couple, who first met when they both attended a co-educational independent school in Dulwich, tied the knot on the Greek Island of Skopelos, where they also got engaged, a few weeks ago and the brunette beauty still hasn't got the hang of calling Sam her husband.

"I absolutely think that if I wrote a full album about our relationship it would be so dull because we don't fight and are easy going!"

Keyshia Cole was arrested on suspicion of battery yesterday morning (19.09.14).
The 32-year-old singer was detained by police in Los Angeles after she allegedly attacked a woman at the house of her rumoured boyfriend Birdman around 5am.
A source told TMZ.com: "For some reason security let her go up to Birdman's penthouse and when she got in she saw another woman and went nuts. Keyshia attacked her ... leaving scratches all over her face."
The songwriter, who has four-year-old son Daniel Jr. with her ex-husband Daniel Gibson, was also arrested for an outstanding reckless driving warrant.
Keyshia was reportedly taken to the Valley Jail in Van Nuys in California and spent seven hours behind bars before being released later that day on $46,000 bail - $20,000 for the battery charge and $20,000 for the driving offence - according to the MailOnline.
Following her release, the brunette beauty took to her Instagram account to post a series of cryptic messages, which led her fans to believe she'd split from Birdman, whose real name Bryan Williams.
