Liam Gallagher pays tribute to late Primal Scream guitarist


Liam Gallagher has led tributes to former Primal Scream guitarist Robert 'Throb' Young who has died.
A publicist for the band has confirmed news the musician has passed away but there is no further information about the cause of death or any other details at the time of writing.
Young formed the band with his secondary school friend, singer Bobby Gillespie, in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1984.
He was an integral part of the rock group throughout their rise to success which culminated with their iconic 1991 album 'Screamadelica' which was the winner of the inaugural Mercury Prize.
Young left the band in 2006 to deal with "problems in his personal life", according to Gillespie.
Former Oasis frontman Liam took to his Twitter page in the wake of the sad news, posting: "RIP Robert Young AKA 'Throb'. Live Forever LG x (sic)"
Liam's former bandmate Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs tweeted: "RIP Throb. A true Rock n Roller. X (sic)"
Fellow former Oasis member and Beady Eye guitarist Andy Bell posted on the social networking site: "Rest In Peace Robert Young of @ScreamOfficial. That big power chord in Loaded is ringing out on the other side now. (sic)"
Charlatans singer Tim Burgess tweeted: "So sad to hear of the death of Rob 'Throb' Young ... A real good un. (sic)"
'Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh posted a moving tribute to Young, which read: "RIP Robert Young. One of the best, the most beautiful, who WAS rock n roll. Big love bro, give them it big time over the other side. #Throb (sic)"

Duchess Catherine pulls out of Invictus Games appearance


Britain's Duchess of Cambridge was forced to pull out of the Invictus Games' opening ceremony last night (10.09.14) due to severe morning sickness.
The 32-year-old royal was supposed to be joining her husband Prince William and her brother-in-law Prince Harry at the event in London, but she dropped out just three days after announcing she was pregnant again.
The brunette beauty will also not be attending the athletics event at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre today (11.09.14) due to the illness.
A spokesperson for Kensington Palace said in a statement last night: "The Duchess of Cambridge will not attend the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games this evening or the athletics event tomorrow."
Catherine - formerly known as Kate Middleton - is due to carry out her first official solo overseas tour to Malta from 20 September for two days, but it is not yet known whether she'll be well enough to do the trip.
The spokesperson added: "The Duchess's attendance on the forthcoming visit to Malta will be kept under review and a decision taken closer to the time."
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - who already have 14-month-old son Prince George together - announced the news that they're expecting another child on Monday (08.09.14) when Catherine was forced to cancel her trip to Oxford University due to sickness.
This isn't the first time the duchess has been struck with morning sickness, known medically as hyperemesis gravidarum, as she suffered the same complication when she was pregnant with George.
However, last time she was hospitalised for the pregnancy symptom, whereas this time she's being cared for by doctors at Kensington Palace in London.
