Lynda Bellingham’s husband Michael Pattermore says her impending death from cancer will "create the biggest hole my life".
The 66-year-old TV star has announced her intention to stop chemotherapy treatment for her terminal bowel cancer next month, which means she only has several weeks to live.
Michael – married the former ‘Loose Women’ co-host in May 2008 – has no idea how he’s going to cope with the loss of his wife.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I am the most positive-thinking guy in the world. Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter how positive I am on this one, the Good Lord is going to take her. End of. It’s scary and it’s going to create the biggest hole in my life.
"I just don’t know what the next few weeks will bring or how I am going to cope. The only things that’s giving me comfort is that Lynda is very much at peace with everything – we’ve managed to sort everything out.
"I just pray to God she gets to see Christmas Day again. It’s what she wants."
Lynda – who played the Oxo mum on the TV adverts – says she hopes her husband finds a new partner and moves back to Somerset, where he’s originally from.
