Eddie Redmayne plans Christmas wedding

Eddie Redmayne wants a winter wedding with his fiancée Hannah Bagshawe.
The 'Les Miserables' actor is planning a festive ceremony with his antiques dealer girlfriend as they prepare to get married in December this year and he has even joked about pulling some strings with his movie friends to get some snow for the wedding.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, Eddie said: "Hannah's like, 'Well you work at Pinewood Studios - can't you just fix up some fake snow?' "
The singing actor also hinted that he might be treating his wedding guests to a solo performance of a Christian hymn, which inspired the theme of the nuptials.
When asked why they had chosen a December date for their big day, the 32-year-old actor replied: "Because Hannah and I and Hannah's dad and my mum are all fans of the hymn 'In The Bleak Midwinter' and wanted an excuse to sing that at a wedding."
Eddie - who started dating the brunette beauty in 2012 - proposed to Hannah over Memorial Day Weekend in June earlier this year.
At the time of their engagement, a source told Us magazine: "They have a very relaxed and supportive relationship ... they seemed to have always known they were going to spend the rest of their lives together."

Paris Hilton buys ‘world’s smallest Pomeranian’ dog

Paris Hilton has paid $13,000 for the "world's smallest Pomeranian" dog.
The animal-loving socialite splashed out the huge sum for the super-cute dog which she bought from specialist dog sellers Betty's Teacup Yorkies, who dubbed the pup 'Mr. Amazing'.
A post describing 'Mr. Amazing' on the company's website - which now has a "sold to Paris Hilton" message with it - reads: "One in a million micro, tiny little boy Mr. Amazing. He is 4.5 months old, only 10 ounces, he is amazing! Triple white ice coat with the flattest bear face ever! Super short compact cob by body with the shortest little legs ever. He has big round eyes. Ones like him are very hard to find..."
The dog - who is only 2.5 inches tall - will soon be flown from his breeders in Calgary, Canada, to Paris' home in Los Angeles and will be accompanied by his own personal nanny for the trip.
The 33-year-old blonde is very excited about meeting her new canine friend, posting on Twitter: "I love him! Cutest thing on Earth! Love my new baby!"
However, it seems Paris will not be letting the pooch keep his 'Mr. Amazing' moniker as she has asked her millions of Twitter followers to come up with a new name for the mutt.
She tweeted: "Any name suggestions for my new lil baby? (sic)"

Peter Gabriel honoured at Progessive Music Awards

Peter Gabriel was named Prog God at the Progressive Music Awards.
The 'In Your Eyes' rocker - who was also named the evening's guest of honour - accepted the Prog God award, which celebrates musicians who have bettered the industry, at the Shakespeare's Globe in London as part of the Orange Amplification Presents The 2014 Progessive Music Awards last night (11.09.14).
Speaking of the award - which has previously been presented to Rick Wakeman and Ian Anderson - Peter said: "Despite prog rock probably being the most derided musical genre of all time there were - as today - a lot of extraordinary musicians trying to break down the barriers to reject the rules of music."
Other big winners included the Columbian band Kraken, who won Band of the Year and Canterbury rockers, Syd Arthur who won the Breakthrough award.
Andy Latimer, the founding member of the progressive rock band Camel, won the coveted Lifetime Achievement award for his contribution to music.
Later, the editor of Prog magazine, Jerry Ewing added: "At a time when Kate Bush is playing live, a new Pink Floyd album and a King Crimson tour are also helping push progressive music into the public spotlight, a night like tonight really shows the diversity and far reaching appeal of this music."

Maroon 5 are stronger than ever

Adam Levine thinks Maroon 5 are stronger than ever.
The 35-year-old singer admitted the band have had trouble defining their sound in the past but have grown closer again as a group after realising their love of pop music.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Maroon 5 are a lot stronger than we have been in the past.
"We know what we are good at and that's pop music. There isn't one member of Maroon 5 that doesn't love pop music.
"We are comfortable with who we are and know what we are good at.
"When people say they hate pop music and cite bands of the Sixties and Seventies as their inspiration, well The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin were all pop stars as their music was popular. They just wore different clothes than we do today.
"So Maroon 5 embrace that and are successful and we don't think it's uncool, we just go for it."
However, the 'Harder to Breathe' hitmakers - who released their fifth studio album 'V' earlier this month - insist the record is a nod to the "darker side of pop" and a stark contrast to their "sweet sugary" fourth offering 'Overexposed'.
Adam said: "I would say V is on the darker side of pop.
"It's not as sugary as the last album, which was very deliberately sweet pop and fun.
"This one is not as carefree and has an edge that we'd lost on the way."
He added: "It is hard to survive as a band in the culture for that many years and not try different things."
The Grammy Award-winner - who appears as a coach on the US version of 'The Voice' with country singer Blake Shelton and new judges Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani - also admitted he worried about the effect his role on the reality TV singing competition would have on his credibility as an artist and described the decision to star on the show in 2011 as a "huge risk".
He explained: "I have been very fortunate to be able to do this show as well as my music.
"It was a huge risk when I first started and I didn't expect the show to give me credibility.
"In fact, my biggest concern was that it would take any I had away. But it was never premeditated."

James McAvoy is going bald

James McAvoy has joked about going bald for 'X-Men: Apocalypse'.
The handsome actor has previously appeared in 'X-Men: First Class' and 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' with a full head of hair, despite the fact that the comic book version of his character Professor Charles Xavier is completely bald.
But now, James has revealed that he will be older in the upcoming superhero flick, 'X-Men: Apocalypse' and even hinted that he will finally shave his head for the role.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, James shared: "I'll be older in this one. And I think I'm losing my hair finally. And, yeah, that's kind of all I know."
The film - which is also set to star Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Hugh Jackman - isn't scheduled for release until May 19, 2016, so it isn't surprising to hear that James doesn't know much about the movie as of yet.
He told the site: "I got an email from the [producer and writer] Simon Kinberg who informed me he was getting dead excited about stuff, but he didn't want to divulge anything for a couple of weeks, so I really don't know."
However, James did note that the film will have world-wide repercussions for the Marvel universe though, as he added: "It seems fairly global, if we're talking apocalypse."

Prince Harry’s outrider injured in high-speed crash

Britain's Prince Harry was left "shocked" after a police outrider escorting him to the Invictus Games was injured in a high-speed crash yesterday (11.09.14).
The 29-year-old royal looked on in disbelief as his bodyguards treated the police officer, who was thrown 30ft down the road, and the unconscious taxi driver - who had to be cut from his car by the fire service - after they collided on Prince Albert Road in London.
An eye witness told the Daily Mail newspaper: "I could see Prince Harry clearly in the back of the car with his head in his hands. He looked really distressed and was constantly looking back over his shoulder to see what was happening. It was clear that for security reasons he had to stay in the car."
The motorcyclist from the Special Escort Group and the driver of the Toyota Prius were rushed to hospital, but were later said to be in a "stable" condition.
Harry's convoy waited at the scene for the emergency services to arrive before continuing their journey to the competition at Lee Valley Park in north London.
A spokesman for Harry said last night: "The prince was obviously very concerned and wanted to make sure the men were OK. He is relieved to hear they are both in a stable condition."
The Metropolitan Police has begun an investigation into the accident, which occurred at around 9.40am.

George Clooney praises fiancee Amal Alamuddin

George Clooney has told Amal Alamuddin he cannot "wait to be her husband".
The 'Gravity' actor praised his fiancée in a touching speech as he collected an award at the Celebrity Fight Night in Florence, Italy.
As George took to the stage at the event on Sunday (07.09.14), he addressed his future wife and said: "I would just like to say to my bride-to-be Amal that I love you very much and I can't wait to be your husband."
According to E!, the human rights lawyer was very touched by the public display of affection from her handsome fiancé.
An eyewitness said: "She seemed so touched and overwhelmed and at that moment they looked right at each other and it was as if there was no one else in the room."
It was also at the Italian gala, which was held in support of the Andres Bocelli Foundation and The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center, that the 53-year-old star let slip that he would be getting married in Venice in a "couple of weeks", after it was reported that the couple would have their romantic ceremony in Lake Como.
He told the crowd: "I met my bride-to-be in Italy, and I will be married in Italy soon, in a couple of weeks. In Venice, of all places."
Amal was recently spotted at the Alexander McQueen headquarters, prompting speculation that she would be using the same wedding dress designer as the Duchess of Cambridge - who wore a dress designed by Sarah Burton, the creative director of the brand for her wedding to Prince William in April 2011.

Michael Jackson’s family treasures up for auction

Michael Jackson's family treasures are going up for auction.
A large number of items that belonged to the late King of pop - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 - and his family have been put up for sale by a company named Vintage Associates, who obtained the property from a major collector of Michael Jackson memorabilia, who has been declared bankrupt, the New York Daily News newspaper reports.
Included in the auction are Michael's sister Janet's old bras, master recordings of Jackson 5 music that has never been released, business and court files, toys owned by Michael and his siblings and even La Toya Jackson's old sex toys.
Peter Siegel of Gotta Have It! Collectibles - the auction house handling the sale - said: "Some of the items are ordinary items that could come out of any household - but when it has the provenance of being from the Jackson household, that's history."
In addition to the court documents from a 1987 restraining order Michael sought against a woman claiming to be the Billie Jean from his 1983 hit song of the same name, is a black tuxedo that was worn by his pet chimpanzee Bubbles.
The online auction comes to an end on September 19 on the auction house's website GottaHaveIt.com.
The bids for most items begin at $100 with the exception of the unheard Jackson 5 tapes which have a starting price of $1,000, despite the records not being sold with copyrights to publish the songs.
Siegel added: "This is a great way for the general public to own a piece of Jackson family history for as little as $100.

Cara Delevingne writing autobiography

Cara Delevingne is writing her autobiography.
The 22-year-old model is putting pen to paper on a book about her younger years and has even been taking a pen and notepad wherever she goes to ensure she can scribble down her childhood memories when one suddenly comes to her.
A source said: "Cara wants to document her life before she became famous.
"She's not interested in writing about her meteoric rise in the fashion world.
"Instead she hopes to go into detail about her younger years."
Cara's former flames Michelle Rodriguez and Harry Styles look set to miss out on a mention in her new tome as she is said to be keen to fill the book with some of her "weird thoughts and anecdotes" as well as her early memories.
A source added to the Daily Star newspaper: "She doesn't want to include any big revelations. It'll just be a collection of weird thoughts and anecdotes."
As well as writing her book, Cara recently added another string to her bow when she launched her music career in a "dive" pub in New York.
The star was joined by Zoe Kravitz - daughter of the legendary rocker singer Lenny Kravitz - as she performed her first ever solo gig in the small establishment.

Lady Gaga smokes hookah in the desert

Lady Gaga smoked hookah in the desert.
The 'Bad Romance' hitmaker - who is currently enjoying a getaway in Dubai - took time out of her busy schedule yesterday (11.09.14) to relax with a shisha pipe after riding camels, watching belly dancers and having her hands decorated in henna.
The 28-year-old star said she was "overwhelmed by the kindness" that she had been shown on the excursion and took to her Instagram account to share photos of the trip.
She captioned an image of her henna-decorated hands adorned with diamond jewellery: "We ate and enjoyed Hookah in the middle of the desert. The women gave us Henna, and we rode camels in the moonlight. The belly dancer was sensational. I'm overwhelmed by the kindness everyone has show us."
On another image of her feet covered in elegant floral patterns she wrote: "What a beautiful desert night."
Just a few hours later the 'Pokerface' hitmaker added a final shot of herself enjoying hookah and proudly displaying her newly-inked fingers.
She wrote: "No matter where I go this gypsy is a #monster4life. (sic)"
Prior to her night of indulgence, Gaga had lashed out at critics who had attacked her figure after she posted a photo of herself in a flesh-coloured swimsuit.
The singer hit back posting a further image of herself clad in the swimsuit with the caption: "#bodyrevolution Proud at any size, because the inside is what really counts. Plus, it's all how you pose! Just ask the supermodels! (sic)"
After receiving support from a fan on Twitter, she replied: "Id rather be fat than be shallow (sic)"
When another fan wrote: "I honestly can't imagine receiving comments about my weight everyday. How insulting and degrading. Also gaga is perfect so back off," the blonde beauty responded: "all day long every day, so what if I got a belly sometimes, sometimes I don't. There's people starving in the world. #whocares (sic)"

Jack P. Shepherd sets up casting agency

Jack P. Shepherd has set up a casting agency.
The 'Coronation Street' actor - who plays bad boy David Platt - already owns a performing arts school and has now launched a career as a talent agent.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It's a win-win situation for Jack because he's already a big name in telly, so theatre and TV producers will be very keen to deal with him.
"Owning the theatre school is clever. Parents pay him to teach their kids to act and, if they're any good, he can get them a shot at the big time and receive a fee."
The 26-year-old hunk has starred in the ITV soap since April 2000 and he's now keen to explore other career avenues in case his time on the popular show was to come to an end in the near future.
The source added: "He has been in 'Corrie' since he was a kid but he's wise enough to know nothing lasts for ever in showbiz.
"The theatre school and casting agency are designed with an eye on the future in case he ever gets the boot from 'Coronation Street.' "
Jack will launch the casting agency next month.
Meanwhile, his 13 Performing Arts School in Manchester, which takes on children aged from three to 17, puts on two shows a year and gives students the opportunity to take exams in drama as well.
