Princess Beatrice takes part in BGC charity event

Britain's Princess Beatrice took part in the annual BGC Global Charity Day in London yesterday (11.09.14).
The 26-year-old royal - the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip - became a city trader for the day to raise money for the Elephant Family trust.
Taking to her Twitter account beforehand, she wrote: "Trading currency and electricty @BGCCharityDay for @elephantfamily today we remember it's founder Mark Shand (sic)."
The event, held at BGC's Canary Wharf offices, is held in memory of the 658 employees of BGC Partners, who died in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre in Manhattan, New York, 13 years ago.
Samuel L. Jackson, Damian Lewis, Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross, Jennifer Saunders and Yasmin Le Bon were also among the celebrities taking part in the event in the hope of raising funds for their chosen charities.
Last year, Prince William, 32, and Prince Harry, 29, took part in the fundraising event and had people in hysterics as they sealed large money deals.
Harry surprised workers with his stock broker talent as he finalised a £21billion FOREX trade, before joking that his brother wasn't doing his job properly.
Meanwhile, this year, Harry and William were busy attending the Invictus Games, a sporting event for injured servicemen and women, which is currently taking place in London until Sunday (14.09.14).

Duchess of Cornwall pays tribute to brother at memorial service

Britain's Duchess of Cornwall paid tribute to her brother at his memorial service yesterday (11.09.14).
The 67-year-old royal was joined by her husband Prince Charles and other family members as they gathered at St Paul's Church in Knightsbridge, London, to remember Mark Shand, who died in April after he fell and smashed his head on the pavement in New York.
Duchess Camilla lead the tributes for her younger brother by reading the poem 'Farewell My Friends' by Gitanjali Ghei, before his sister Annabel Elliot read an extract from his book, 'Travels On My Elephant'.
Two of Mr Shand's friends, Henry Wyndham and Don McCullin, gave personal tributes during the service, before his 19-year-old daughter Ayesha, finished off the eulogies by reading a poem she had written.
Speaking after the ceremony, comedian Stephen Fry described the service, which was attended by 750 mourners, as "wonderful" and "extremely funny."
He said of Mr Shand: "A traveller and a rogue and an establishment figure of course in some ways, by birth.
"He was a renegade and he cared not more or less for royalty or for dukes or dustmen, as you might say."
The mourners also included Yasmin Le Bon, Bianca Jagger, Princess Beatrice, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and Jemima Khan.
Mr Shand was known for his dedication to protecting the Asian elephant and since his passing, conservation charity Elephant Family has launched the Mark Shand Memorial Fund, which will raise money for the cause.

Donna Air is ‘thrilled’ for Duchess Catherine

Donna Air is "thrilled" that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting another baby.
The 34-year-old actress - who has been romantically linked to Catherine's brother James Middleton - is overjoyed for the couple, who got married in 2011, after they announced the happy news earlier this week.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, Donna gushed: "I think the whole nation is thrilled."
William and Catherine, who already have 14-month-old son Prince George together, made the announcement on Monday (08.09.14) after the brunette beauty was forced to pull out of her visit to Oxford University because she was suffering severe morning sickness.
Duchess Catherine also had to miss the opening ceremony and the first day of the Invictus Games on Wednesday (10.09.14) and Thursday (11.09.14) because she was still battling the pregnancy symptom.
She is currently being cared for by doctors at Kensington Palace in London but it is not yet known whether she'll be able to carry out her first official solo overseas tour to Malta on September 20.
A spokesperson for the palace said in a statement yesterday: "The Duchess's attendance on the forthcoming visit to Malta will be kept under review and a decision taken closer to the time."

Harry Derbidge axed from The Only Way Is Essex

Harry Derbidge has reportedly been axed from 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The 20-year-old star returned to the ITV2 reality series earlier this year after being axed in 2012, but with the cast set to travel Ibiza to shoot a one off special on the party island in the coming weeks, he's said to have been left off of the list of invites.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "It doesn't look like Harry will be joining us in Ibiza because we're unable to take all the cast along. And at the moment he doesn't have a key storyline or friendship group."
Harry - who is former co-star Amy Childs' cousin - split from boyfriend Bobby Norris in the last series of the show and was seen falling out with pal Gemma Collins
And now it appears a reunion on the White Isle is out of the question as Harry will be back at home in Essex while the rest of the cast celebrate the end of the summer in style.
However, as he is still under contract he could be set to return when the cast begin filming the upcoming series back in the UK but, as he's no longer dating Bobby, producers may decide they no longer have a place for him.

Sunetra Sarker has split from husband

Sunetra Sarker has split from her husband.
The 'Casualty' actress - who is competing on the current series of BBC One celebrity dance contest 'Strictly Come Dancing' - is now dating business partner Scott Carey, 42, after leaving her husband of ten years Nick Corfield, 44, last year.
Sunetra, who stars as Dr. Zoe Hanna in the BBC medical drama, and Scott became partners in Keep Me Fresh - a £45 device that kills bacteria - in February.
A friend of the star told The Sun newspaper: "Nick was the love of Sunetra's life and she thought she would be with him forever but they drifted apart.
"She met Scott and he swept her off her feet.
"They started Keep Me Fresh together, which is a play on the way they feel about each other.
"They are besotted and Scott will be coming down to support her on 'Strictly'."
The 41-year-old star first met Nick while on holiday in Jersey in 1989 and after rekindling their love during a chance meeting on the island ten years later they got married in 2003 and a year later had son Noah.
Speaking previously about their relationship, Sunetra said: "You don't realise when you meet someone at 16 that it isn't always going to be as perfect as that.
"Going back and meeting him again made me realise how special he was."
However, she's now loved up with Scott and, after the Strictly launch show last weekend - which saw her paired with show veteran Brendan Cole - she took to Twitter to thank her new beau for his support.
She wrote: "After the madness of last night - a calm sunny day in London with Scott #happybirthdayboyfriend xxx (sic)."

James Corden won’t leave A League of Their Own

James Corden will continue to host 'A League of Their Own'.
The 36-year-old comedian - who was recently announced as the replacement for Craig Ferguson on 'The Late Late Show' in the United States - won't be leaving the popular Sky 1 sports quiz any time soon as he has already signed up for three more series.
A spokesman for the channel said: "James is already committed to the next three series of 'A League Of Their Own' and he's looking forward to his ongoing participation in the programme."
The 'Gavin and Stacey' star is believed to have signed a $5 million-a-year contract to replace the 52-year-old Scot on the late night talk show at the beginning of 2015 .
James - who has already started viewing properties across the pond with his wife Julia and their three-year-old son Max ahead of the move next year - said he was "honoured" to have been offered the role and can't wait to start filming.
He said: "I can't describe how thrilled and honoured I am to be taking over from the brilliant Craig Ferguson.
"To be asked to host such a prestigious show on America's number one network is hugely exciting.
"I can't wait to get started, and will do my very best to make a show America will enjoy."

Michelle Dockery wants Gyllenhaal in Downton

Michelle Dockery wants Maggie Gyllenhaal to star in 'Downton Abbey'.
The 32-year-old actress, who plays Lady Mary Crawley in the ITV period drama, admits she is a huge fan of the 'Honourable Woman' star so would love it if she made a cameo appearance in the popular programme.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I read somewhere that Maggie Gyllenhaal loves the show so I think that would be great if she fancied popping in and doing a cameo."
Michelle admits she loves it when huge stars such as Paul Giamatti and Shirley MacLaine appear in the show but insists it is important for there to be a good balance of acting talent.
Speaking at the launch of the upcoming fifth series, she added: "Our casting director is actually really amazing at getting people in who are not really well known. It's a sort of a balance really.
"We've had Paul Giamatti and we've had Shirley MacLaine but it's finding the right people.
"There are lots of people who have said they'd love to do it so it's really flattering to hear that."
Michelle's wish could come true if Maggie has anything to do with it as the 36-year-old star recently admitted she would love to appear in the show.
She said: "I've seen every episode of 'Downton Abbey'. It's like crack. We love English people doing old-fashioned things.
"I would be the American sister who is pregnant by - ooh, I don't know - the sexy guy who had a fling with Lady Rose."
