Antonio Banderas to move away from Hollywood films

Antonio Banderas is keen to do more acting work in his native Spain.
The 54-year-old, who has starred in popular Hollywood films like 'The Mask of Zorro' and 'Puss in Boots', says he's keen to assist the film industry in Spain, where, he claims, there are more diverse roles available to him.
Speaking in San Sebastian after a screening of sci-fi film 'Automata', which he starred in and produced, he explained: "Hollywood has ceased to exist as such, and now it is just a brand."
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Banderas added: "I might have that brand on me my whole life, but I want to do more films from my own country. I recognise the talent here and I really believe in my people.
"It's true that in Hollywood, I've always had certain limitations because of my accent or ethnicity. I go straight into certain roles. I've been working in Hollywood for 23 years with a certain handicap."
'Automata' also features Dylan McDermott and Birgitte Hjort Sorensen, as well as Melanie Griffith, 57, who announced her intention to divorce Banderas in June after nearly 20 years of marriage.
'Automata' will be released on October 10 in the US, but a UK release date is still to be confirmed.

Coronation Street’s Kylie Platt becomes hooked on speed

'Coronation Street's Kylie Platt is to hit rock bottom after she becomes hooked on speed.
The loud-mouthed hairdresser - played by Paula Lane - recently became embroiled in a drugs scandal when she started stealing her son Max's attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) medication as she struggled to come to terms with his recent diagnosis.
In a bid to find out if her son inherited the condition, the brunette beauty will pay a visit to Max's biological father, drug dealer, Callum.
However, things start to spiral out of control for Kylie, who used to dabble in drugs when she was younger, when bad boy Callum offers her Amphetamine.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Paula said:"It is really great 'Coronation Street' is touching on this subject. I hope I can do it justice.
"When I first found out, I was like, 'Crikey, how can I play this out?' But Kylie has a lot of depth to her and she is always carrying a fear that she isn't good enough. She thinks everyone on the street judges her.
"She is a very vulnerable person and her life is going to start to unravel big time. This is going to be the darkest place she has ever found herself in."
Kylie resorts to desperate measures in order to hide her addiction from her husband David (Jack P. Shepherd), but the happy family is to be rocked by a huge crisis in the run up to Christmas, which will pave the way for the departure of Paula, who is going on maternity leave to have her first child.

Kerry Katona wasn’t bothered about first marriages

Kerry Katona "wasn't a**ed" about her previous weddings.
The Atomic Kitten singer - who has kids Molly, 13, Lilly Sue, 11, Heidi, seven, and Max, six, from previous relationships and five-month-old Dylan-George with new spouse George Kay - tied the knot for the third time earlier this month and admits walking down the aisle to join her how-husband was the first time she had felt nervous and thinks it is because she feels more for him than she did about former spouses Brian McFadden and Mark Croft.
She told Britain's OK! magazine: "I don't think I took my eyes off George walking down the aisle.
"I just stared at him and then I saw he was about to start crying and I thought, 'Here we go!'
"When I've been married before, I've never been nervous, I don't think I was really a**ed, but with George I was thinking, 'What if he's not there?' I love him so much I just don't want to burst."
At the wedding, Kerry's eldest daughter Molly, 13, sang at the ceremony while 11-year-old Lilly Sue - both her daughters with Brian - gave a speech in which she revealed George, 34, had asked them for permission to marry their 34-year-old mother.
She told guests at Tortworth Court Four Pillars hotel in Gloucestershire, South West England: "We found out in Pizza Hut. He asked Molly and I for our permission when Mum took Max and Heidi to use the toilet - classy.
"We thought he was joking until he pulled out this huge rock which he was very bad at hiding."

Kanye West visits college

Kanye West made a surprise appearance at a Los Angeles college on Friday (19.09.14).
The 'Yeezus' singer spent around two hours speaking to 40 students from the digital communications department at LA Trade Technical College, as well as spending time with troubled youth participating in a summer bridge programme, and he used the sessions to talk about his experiences and personal struggles in music, fashion and graphic arts, and to stress the importance of getting an education.
One student, Andre Pitts III, explained how the 37-year-old rapper - who has 15-month-old daughter North with wife Kim Kardashian West - "didn't try" to teach the students anything, but just wanted to share his experiences.
He told Vice.com: "It went on for about an hour and a half and Kanye discussed a lot of things but mainly about his inspirations. He mentioned Ice Cube being one of his biggest inspirations, but also one of his biggest let downs. He also discussed Steve jobs, 2Pac and his grandfather.
"I've listened to Kanye since I was younger but I can't rate him as a teacher because he didn't come to teach a fashion class, he just spoke about his inspirations. He didn't try to be a teacher, he simply spoke about how life really is."
The visit was at least Kanye's fourth time speaking to Los Angeles students, and it forms part of his 240-hour community service sentence which was handed out when he struck a plea deal over allegedly attacking a photographer last summer.

Simon Cowell congratulates Terri Seymour on pregnancy

Simon Cowell has congratulated his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour on her pregnancy.
The 39-year-old TV presenter announced yesterday (22.09.14) she is expecting her first child with model boyfriend Clark Mallon, 28, and the music mogul - who dated the brunette for around six years - took to his Twitter account to reveal he and partner Lauren Silverman are delighted for the couple.
He wrote: "Congratulations @TerriSeymour and Clark. Me and Lauren are very excited for you both. If it's a boy you can call him simon. (sic)"
While he is keen for Terri, who is four months pregnant, to have a boy, he also wouldn't mind if the 'Extra' red carpet host had a baby girl so he can set her up with his and Lauren's seven-month-old son Eric.
Terri said: "Immediately after congratulating me the first thing he said was he had to be the godfather.
"Then he said it was perfect timing with his son Eric being so young and he hoped I would have a baby girl so he could set her up with Eric and they could date. 'How perfect would that be,' he said. Typical Simon."
Terri also admitted she swore Simon to secrecy about her baby news because she was desperate to tell Lauren herself.
She added to HELLO! magazine: "Lauren was in New York and Simon was in LA and I wanted to be the one to tell her.
"Amazingly, he managed to keep it a secret - he's usually terrible at keeping them so I wasn't sure he'd be able to do it.
"Lauren has been great. She has been amazing with baby tips, too."
Terri previously praised Simon for being a naturally great father, despite admitting he didn't even know how to hold a baby before he had Eric.
She said: "He's great actually. I mean he hasn't changed his lifestyle because Simon wouldn't. But he's very good. He'd never even held a baby before, so he was like, 'How do you hold a baby?'
"You have to remind him every now and then about the head... But he's really good and he loves it.
"Everybody was like, 'Oh my God, this is going to be so strange' but it's all been very natural."

Laura Carmichael: Downton Abbey costumes more risque next series

Laura Carmichael says her 'Downton Abbey' costumes are much more risqué this series.
The 28-year-old beauty, who stars as Lady Edith Crawley in the popular drama, has revealed viewers will be seeing a bit more of her figure in the fifth series as the costumes have been updated.
Quizzed on what the best thing about playing her character is, she said: "She has amazing storylines, like the adoption one that continues this series. Her outfits are more glamorous and risqué now. You can see calf!"
The 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' actress also spoke about her relationship with her on-screen sister Lady Mary Crawley, played by Michelle Dockery, and hinted that certain revelations could see them put their differences aside.
When asked how relations are between Edith and Mary in the new series, Laura explained to Now magazine: "Still a little catty. Mary obviously doesn't know Edith has gone through this whole pregnancy, so she thinks the reason she's sad is because Michael Gregson [Charles Edwards], her lover, went missing. She's like, 'My husband's dead. Get over it.'"

Judy Murray can’t stop laughing at Strictly Come Dancing training

Judy Murray can't stop laughing during her 'Strictly Come Dancing' training.
The tennis coach - who is mother to tennis stars Andy and Jamie Murray - has revealed she's having a great time
rehearsing for the BBC One celebrity dance contest but confessed she's finding it hard to take her professional dance partner seriously.
Referring to Anton du Beke as "amazing", she told HELLO!: "He's absolutely fantastic. He's so patient and he makes me giggle all the time. I can't look at him when we're dancing or I'll just start laughing."
Judy also admitted she may not be as good on the dancefloor as her fellow contestants - who include former
professional rugby player Thom Evans, singer Pixie Lott and presenter Caroline Flack - because she's struggling to remember her routines.
Quizzed on how her training was going, she said: "It's a challenge.
"I knew it was going to be hard, but it's tougher than I thought. I found it really hard to remember the sequences of
steps. Just when I think I'm almost getting the routine, then I have to think about my heel, toes and posture."
Anton added that his partner was struggling to remember "which foot is the left one", laughing: "I'm having such a great time. Judy is hilarious."

Kelly Brook to spend 300k on honeymoon yacht?

Kelly Brook is to spend £300,000-a-week on a luxury yacht for her honeymoon.
The glamorous model is reportedly considering hiring the lavish vessel called The Titania in Mykonos, Greece, as she and David McIntosh would like some privacy when they celebrate tying the knot next year.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Kelly and David want to do something really special for their honeymoon.
"While they've been on Mykonos they've been enquiring about hiring The Titania. It's a big expense yacht but they'd get privacy and the luxury surroundings they're looking for. They want to make sure nobody gets a look in for once."
Meanwhile, the couple, who got engaged in March following just a month of dating, are still undecided as to where they will be holding their nuptials and have even considered eloping to Las Vegas to get hitched.
The 34-year-old beauty said previously: "We change our minds all the time [about where to get married. Some days we're like, 'Let's run to Vegas and do it.' "
However, after spending this past week holidaying on the Greek Island, it is thought the loved-up duo have widened their options on possible wedding venues.
An insider said recently: "Mykonos is one of the most romantic islands in the world. They could not have thought of anywhere better to get married."

Danny O’Donoghue refuses to buy car

Danny O'Donoghue has refused to buy a car.
The Script frontman, 33, doesn't want to splurge on a posh vehicle or lavish house because he's not interested in getting caught up in perks of fame.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "We don't live in big houses or mansions, I don't even own a car and we're not ones for red carpets. While other people are doing that we're where we belong, in the studio."
Meanwhile, the Irish hunk, who split from girlfriend of four years Irma Mali in 2012, has his sights set on settling down and starting a family in the future, but insists he's just enjoying being single at the moment.
He said previously: "There's nothing I'd love more than to start a family when the time is right...
"[At the moment] I'm single and plying the field! I'm dating, I'm just having fun."
However, Danny looks set to make one lucky lady very happy when he does finally settle down as he is a firm believer in being a gentleman.
He explained: "I write songs, I cook dinner and I like to treat a woman nicely. I'm old school - I believe doors should be opened for a woman."

Eddie Redmayne dislikes playing characters similar to himself

Eddie Redmayne finds it tough playing characters who are similar to his real-life self.
The 32-year-old actor, who has appeared in films such as 'Les Miserables' and 'My Week with Marilyn', is less comfortable playing people he can identify with.
Redmayne said: "It's often roles that are closer to home that I'm less successful at or that I find weirdly more difficult, because you don't have to leap off the precipice."
The London-born star - whose character smooches with Michelle Williams' Marilyn Monroe in 'My Week With Marilyn' - elaborated: "I don't know about the success of it, but [that film] I found really challenging, even though, on paper, it's basically of who I am: someone who went to Eton and works in the film industry.
"That film I found really hard because he's a cipher for the audience."
Redmayne's performance saw him receive a nomination for BAFTA's Rising Star Award.
Meanwhile, Redmayne revealed earlier this month he wants a winter wedding with his fiancée Hannah Bagshawe.
The actor and his antiques dealer girlfriend hope to get married in December this year.
He's even joked about pulling some strings with his movie friends to get some snow for the wedding.
Redmayne told the Daily Mail newspaper: "Hannah's like, 'Well you work at Pinewood Studios - can't you just fix up some fake snow?' "

Peter Andre wants kids to have wedding roles

Peter Andre wants all his children involved in his wedding to Emily Macdough.
The star got engaged to the medical student in January and although they set themselves a two-year time frame to tie the knot, the couple have been tentatively making plans.
Peter and Emily have nine-month-old daughter Amelia together and he has two kids, nine-year-old son Junior and seven-year-old daughter Princess Tiaamii, with his ex-wife Katie Price and he is adamant he wants them all to have roles on the big day when it happens.
Speaking in the new issue of OK! magazine, he said: "We got engaged in January and we did say two years and it's been about nine months now, so it's not that far away. I'm sure we'll celebrate in some way in Cyprus and we'll have all the kids doing something - it will be a really great day when it happens."
Peter, 41, also revealed he'd like to try for another baby with Emily once they are husband and wife.
He said: "Ideally we'd get married first even though we didn't the first time. That would be the plan - for Emily to finish university, get married and then of course have another baby."
