The showbiz matriarch - who separated from Bruce, 64, 11 months ago - has now officially started proceedings to end their 23 year marriage according to documents filed in Los Angeles which have been obtained by Radar Online.
Kris, 58, is said to have cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for their split and has asked for joint physical and legal custody of the couple's two daughters, Kendall, 18 and Kylie, 17.
The papers state that the brunette beauty - who also has daughters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe, as well as a son, Rob, with her ex-husband Robert Kardashian - is requesting to keep all of her own jewellery as well as her assets following the official date of their separation which is noted to be June 1 2013.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star said at the time of their split: "We are living separately and we are much happier this way.
"But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends, and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority.
"We ended a marriage, but that's not the end of our friendship. I will always love him, but we are no longer a couple in that way."
Following the split, Bruce - who moved from their home in Calabasas, California to Malibu - is reported to have drastically transformed his image by growing out his hair and is even thought to have had his Adam's apple reduced.

Naomi Watts wishes she had more kids

Naomi Watts wishes she had more kids.
The 'Diana' star - who has Sasha, 7, and Kai, 5 with her actor husband Liev Schreiber - has confessed she regrets not having her children earlier in life.
She told More magazine: "I should have had more kids, started younger."
Although the blonde beauty, would have loved to add to her brood, she insists, she and Liev, 46, have become the perfect parenting team to raise their two sons.
She explained: "Liev has a lot more courage than me. He's always saying, 'Let the kids do it. Take the training wheels off!' My bit of fear balances him, and he balances my fear."
Meanwhile, the actress - who will celebrate her 46th birthday later this week - recently revealed she has begun to feel self-conscious about her looks as she grows older.
Naomi has even considered going under the knife for cosmetic surgery since the family moved to Los Angeles from New York City last year.
She said: "I'm really just feeling my way. This being an industry town, that self-consciousness just pervades."
She added: "There are days when I feel victorious that I have, you know, gotten this far [without plastic surgery]. But there are a million days when I look in the mirror and think, 'I'm going to do it.' "

Barbara Walters’ live appearance axed from The View

Barbara Walters' final live appearance was axed from 'The View'.
The US-born broadcast journalist - who created and co-hosted the show from 1997 to 2014 - had her live segment on the season 18 premiere of the ABC series cancelled by channel bosses.
Sources told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column that the 84-year-old presenter was keen to appear live on the programme until the idea was quashed by producers who decided she would appear in a taped segment instead.
However, Barbara - who exited the show in May this year and handed over to new hosts Rosie Perez, Rosie O'Donnell and Nicolle Wallace in the pre-prepared scenes in which she sat on a throne wearing a crown and invited her successors to kiss her hand - insists she had no desire to appear live on the show.
She said: "How silly! I deliberately taped a piece at the top, gave it my blessing, and now they're off to the races."
A source added: "She was very happy with the cute piece on the top of the show, where the new hosts kissed her ring.
"(She is) very savvy about TV and knows that if she was a live guest, all the headlines would be about that and not the new hosts."
Barbara is also believed to have turned down a guest role opposite Matt Lauer on rival channel NBC's 'Today' as part of 'Homecoming Week' as ABC bosses advised her against it.
A source said: "They (NBC) asked Barbara, and she in turn asked ABC. There was a brief conversation, and ultimately she decided not to do it, because she wants to be loyal to ABC and not appear on the competition."

Nicolas Cage slept in Dracula’s castle

Nicolas Cage spent the night in Dracula's castle.
According to the 50-year-old actor's 'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance' co-star, Idris Elba, Nicolas opted to stay in the fictional vampire's home to "channel his energy" while the pair filmed the movie in Romania, Transylvania.
During his recent 'Ask Me Anything' Q&A on Reddit, he said: "Nic Cage came back one day on set and he looked a little bit tired, a little bit kind of like he'd been up all night. So I was like, 'Hey Nic, man, how you doing, man?' and he said 'I'm alright,' and I said, 'You seem a little spooked out,' and he said, 'Yeah man, I went up to Dracula's castle ... the ruins up in the mountains, and I stayed the night.'
"I said 'What?! Why?' and he said, 'I just had to channel the energy, and it was pretty spooky up there.'
"We were shooting in Romania, Transylvania, and he just went up there to spend the night, as you do. And then he walked away. True story."
Nicolas recently confessed he tried to follow in the footsteps of Dracula's creator Bram Stoker by purchasing the most haunted house in America to inspire him to write a chilling novel.
The 'Gone in Sixty Seconds' star snapped up a mansion in New Orleans previously owned by Madame LaLaurie, who's known for the torture and murder of slaves, in the hope of gaining inspiration to pen the book.
Speaking in the Daily Mail newspaper's Event magazine, he said: "I once lived in the most haunted house in America. The LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans used to belong to Madame LaLaurie, a well-known 19th century socialite and serial killer.
"I bought it in 2007, figuring it would be a good place in which to write the great American horror novel. I didn't get too far with the novel."

David Hasselhoff: Justin Bieber is a ‘cool guy’

David Hasselhoff thinks Justin Bieber is a "cool guy".
The 'Baywatch' star confessed he had "a lot of fun" with the 20-year-old singer on the set of his latest video and claims the unlikely duo had "a blast" working together.
According to People.com, he said: "We had a lot of fun, and he's a cool guy.
"You'll hear more about it, but we're just keeping it quiet because it's really a cool video, and we had a blast."
The 62-year-old actor also quickly deleted a post from his Twitter account following the shoot in which he shared that he, Justin and Australian pop star Cody Simpson had enjoyed a "great day" filming the video.
He said yesterday(21.09.14): "What a great day @CodySimpson @justinbieber Emile our director for new video ... signing t shirts for charity! RESPECT!"
David also posted an image of himself wearing his iconic Baywatch shorts and jacket, however it is not known if the photo is related to the mystery project.
Meanwhile, Cody, 17 - who is working on a duet album with Justin - recently jumped to the defence of his new pal following his altercation with Orlando Bloom in July.
The 'Boyfriend' hitmaker had to dodge a punch from the 'Lord of the Rings' star at a party in Ibiza after reportedly making a reference to the actor's ex-wife Miranda Kerr - who he was romantically linked with during their marriage - but Cody insists his misdeeds can be put down to his youth.
He said: "Obviously we're all young and he gets himself into some stuff sometimes.
"He's a person I'd go to for everything. He's like a big brother.
"He has the world in his hands as he does a lot of good as well. I've got all good things to say."

Ariana Grande’s life coach ‘couldn’t handle’ her behaviour

Ariana Grande's life coach quit because he "couldn't handle" her bad attitude.
According to the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column, the 21-year-old singer's former employee - who was in charge of keeping her focussed and healthy - quit his post months ago because of her diva-like behaviour.
The news follows on from reports the ex-Nickelodeon star has been difficult to work with on photo shoots and is fast becoming one of the most high maintenance figures in the industry.
An insider said: "He just couldn't take it anymore. Everything people are saying about her is true."
The 'Problem' hitmaker is said to have acted "like a child" during a recent shoot and has even been accused of being rude to her loyal fans.
A source said: "She'll only be photographed from the left side, in a certain light. She's rude to her fans. She was so obsessed with her hair that she had it dyed every three days, and the big ponytail is fake.
"She acts like a child and constantly needs people to coddle her."
Meanwhile, Ariana took to Twitter last week to address the rumours and insisted she wasn't taking any of the claims seriously.
She wrote: "Man some of these rumours that have been coming out about me lately actually have me laughing out loud.... really can't take em seriously."

Charlie Sheen wants Two and a Half Men return

Charlie Sheen wants to reprise his role on 'Two and a Half Men'.
The 49-year-old actor - who was fired from the show in 2011 after rowing with its producer Chuck Lorre and subsequently threatened him and Warner Bros with $100 million lawsuit - has confessed he would love to return to the hit comedy in a "classy" way.
He told E! News: "The chances would be 100 percent. If they want to do it.
"I just want to do it classy. I want to do it in a way that still services what the show is today, and also honours what it was when I was there. Who knows? I'm sure they are over there right now, pen to paper, trying to figure something out.
"If it's not done properly, then there is no reason to do it. But it's a pretty smart group over there and I'm sure they will figure something. Something that makes sense to everyone."
A representative for the star added: "A balloon was floated so to speak..And everyone kind of went hmm, that could be kind of interesting. And that is the state where it is at."
However, sources have since revealed there is no truth to the statements and insist Charlie - who played Charlie Harper on the show from its beginning in 2003 - has had no contact with the CBS show's producers with regards to reprising his role.
An insider said: "Charlie has not had any conversations with the Two and a Half Men producers regarding a return. There has been no back and forth."
Charlie's character was killed off the sitcom in 2011 and was replaced by Ashton Kutcher in the role of Walden Schmidt.

Professor Green: Justin Bieber is a great role model

Professor Green thinks Justin Bieber is a "great role model".
The 'Monster' hitmaker - who released his latest studio album 'Growing Up In Public' today (22.09.14) - joked that the singer is "setting a great example to people", seemingly referring to the 20 year old's recent run-ins with the law.
Justin - who was arrested earlier this year for drag-racing and DUI - was referred to by Professor Green as doing "a great job", who also joked young people should "model themselves" on the 'Boyfriend' singer.
He told MTV News at MTV Crashes Derry-Londonderry: "I think Justin Bieber is doing a great job, setting a great example for people.
"I think, as far as child protégés go, kids should really look to him for how to behave and act and all children should model themselves on Justin Bieber and behave just as he does. I think he's a great role model for children."
Professor Green, 30 - real name Stephen Manderson - confessed that the album's name is also intended to be taken with a pinch of salt as he still considers himself to be "quite childish".
He explained: "I came up with the title probably about two or two and a half years ago. And it was quite tongue-in-cheek.
"Obviously in the last 18 months, I've been forced to live out a lot of my life in the public eye and there were quite a few things that happened, some good, some not so good.
"But the growing up part, I guess is still tongue-in-cheek because I wouldn't say that I've grown up that much. I'm still quite childish."

Colin Farrell to star in True Detective

Colin Farrell will star in 'True Detective'.
The 38-year-old actor - who has been linked to the US crime drama since July - has now confirmed he will be portraying one of the lead characters, Detective Martin Eric "Marty" Hart or Detective Rustin Spencer "Rust" Cohle, previously played by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
The Irish born star confessed he was "so excited" about the project and is thrilled that filming is taking place around Los Angeles so he can be close to his children, Henry, 4 and James,11.
He told Ireland's Sunday World: "I'm doing the second series. I'm so excited.
"I know it will be eight episodes and take around four or five months to shoot.
"I know very little about it, but we're shooting in the environs of Los Angeles which is great. It means I get to stay at home and see the kids."
Although further cast details for the second season - which is set to air in summer 2015 - are yet to be released, 'Wedding Crashers' star Vince Vaughan and 'Battleship' actor Taylor Kitsch are also rumoured to be involved in the next instalment of the HBO show.
In addition to new cast members, creator Nic Pizzolato previously revealed that the second season of the Emmy Award-winning drama will be about "hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system".

Ella Henderson isn’t worried about parents’ arrest

Ella Henderson isn't worried about her parents' arrest.
The 18-year-old singer - whose parents Sean, 48, a former car salesman and Michelle, 50, are currently on bail after being arrested on suspicion of money laundering in April last year - confessed it will take a lot more than their recent run-in with the law to break her "strong family".
She told The Mirror newspaper: "We're a very strong family, it takes a lot for me to break down or make me cry, someone would have to be terminally ill for that to happen.
"If I have a break down, it's probably because it's that time of the month. I'm very chilled. Nothing worries me as such.
"Out of everything that goes on in the world, some of the things you think are so huge are not. What is today's news is tomorrow's fish and chip paper, I look at it like that."
The 'Ghost' hitmaker - who also has brothers Patrick and Fraser, as well as a sister, Holly - added that since she shot to fame on 'The X Factor' in 2012 she has relied on her family to support her and keep her grounded.
She explained: "There is nothing that can prepare you for that side of this career, you have to have two sides to you, the performer and the girl who wants to have a private life ... it's about balancing the two.
"I have an amazing team and a supportive family around me, they keep me grounded and surround me with love and positivity, you block everything else out."
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty - who has been touring the United States - also revealed she was shocked by the "mental" reaction of her fans from across the pond when she performed her debut single at the 'Good Morning America' studios in New York.
She said: "It's just been kind of crazy since Ghost came out, the reaction was unexpected. I thought I was going out there to start from the bottom again but there was already a buzz.
"I was at Good Morning America out in the States, there were people in Times Square staring in [the studio]. It was like I was in a gold fish bowl. It was kind of mental.
"America is this huge place and heading out there as a UK artist is always going to be a big deal."
