Calvin Harris buys $15 million Beverly Hills home

Calvin Harris has bought a $15 million home.
The 30-year-old DJ has splashed out on a lavish 10-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion, which is set in 2.66 acres in the exclusive Beverly Hills area in California, reports Variety.com.
The property also comes with a three-car garage, staff quarters, two guest houses, one of which comes complete with a spa, and a swimming pool.
Calvin's new million-pound purchase follows revelations that the singer raked in an estimated $110 million over 2013 and 2014.
Despite the property's hefty price tag, the 'We Are Not Alone' hitmaker will have had no problems affording the property as he was recently named the highest paid DJ in the world after earning $66 million in 12 months.
The Scot scooped the title for the second consecutive year after topping Forbes' Electronic Cash Kings list with his huge earnings, $20 million more than he earned to reach the summit last year.
Putting his success partly down to luck, the modest music mixer told Forbes: "The rise of dance music has been astronomical in the last three years. I happened to be in the right place at the right time."

Speaking to Rickie, Melvin and Charlie on the Kiss FM Breakfast Show, he explained: "Everything I've got on is free but I did pay for my underwear and they were too expensive. It's true. It was 32 Euros, man. I came on this trip and I forgot my underwear.
"Seriously, we were in Paris and I'm like, 'Oh shoot! I don't have any underwear'. Please send in free underwear for Denzel Washington."
The 'American Gangster' star also revealed that although he was in the French capital at the same time as Beyonce and husband Jay Z's joint 'On The Run' tour concert, he couldn't get in to see the show because he hadn't bought a ticket.
Before doing an uncanny impression of Jay's trademark chuckle, he said: "I was there when they were there but I didn't go see it. I couldn't get in, I didn't have tickets."

Kiefer Sutherland misses Jack Bauer

Kiefer Sutherland is "missing" Jack Bauer.
The 47-year-old actor - who reprised his role as the counter-terrorism agent for 12-part special '24: Live Another Day' earlier this year - had previously claimed he wouldn't be returning to the action series, but misses his alter ego so much, he is desperate to "tell more stories".
He said: "I'm missing Jack already. I can never say never.
"My biggest fear about Jack was, 'Can we produce the standard the fans have been sued to?' I still feel there are more stories to tell."
And if '24' does return again, Kiefer would love to film in Scotland, where his grandfather was born.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "If the story was right I couldn't say no to making 24 in Scotland.
"I have strong Scottish roots so I can't deny that it would be special for me.
"I have Scottish ancestry on both my grandparents' sides so I do feel a connection to the country.
"It has a great medieval feel to it with the castles and all the old architecture. I think that could make for a really dark setting."
However, the 'Pompeii' star insists he wouldn't expect his character to don traditional Scottish attire.
He added: "I have worn a kilt before but even though Jack is all man, I really don't see him ever wearing one."

Stan Carter to get battle-axe wife

Stan Carter is to get a battle-axe wife in 'EastEnders'.
The Carter family's eldest member, played by actor Timothy West, is to get a rude awakening when his estranged wife Sylvie Carter (Linda Marlowe) arrives on Albert Square later this week.
Sylvie - who is mother to Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) and sister to Aunt Babe (Annette Badland) - is known to viewers to have abandoned her family but will be forced to return to ask for help.
A source from the BBC One soap told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Although she's manipulative and used to getting her own way, Sylvie is forced to seek help from the family she abandoned years ago.
"However, the Walford welcome will be anything but warm."
Marlowe is best known for her television and film roles in 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy', 'The House of Mirth' and 'Love Hurts'.
She said of joining the London-based soap: "I'm totally thrilled to be joining the cast of 'EastEnders' and playing such a wonderful character."
Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins added: "Watching Linda Marlowe, Annette Badland, Ann Mitchell (Cora Cross) and Timothy West going for it on screen is going to be electric."
Sylvie's arrival in Walford is also likely to spark revelations that Shirley is in fact Mick Carter's (Danny Dyer) mother and not his sister, as he currently believes.

Miranda Hart wants Sarah Hadland for Call the Midwife cameo

Miranda Hart wants her 'Miranda' co-star Sarah Hadland to guest star as a baby in 'Call the Midwife'.
The 41-year-old comedienne, who stars as Chummy Browne in the BBC period drama, has asked her close pal and 'Miranda' co-star to make a cameo appearance in the next series.
However, Sarah insists she'll only go ahead with it if Miranda appears in her comedy 'The Job Lot' as a jobseeker.
She explained: "She [Miranda] always said I should be a baby in 'Call the Midwife' - where they look into a pram and I am sitting there.
"And I said she should be a jobseeker - non-speaking, I made that clear. She can just be on the phone. It will happen, we will both cross over."
Sarah, 43, also revealed she's looking forward to reuniting with Miranda when she reprises her role as Miranda's best pal Steve in the upcoming Christmas special episodes.
She told The Sun newspaper: "We are filming two Christmas specials for Miranda in November. That's exciting because we haven't shot anything for about two years."
Meanwhile, 'The Job Lot' has switched from ITV1 to ITV2 for the upcoming second series, allowing for much raunchier scenes including one in which a lap dance takes place in the job centre.

Oliver Cheshire downplays Strictly Come Dancing curse

Pixie Lott's boyfriend isn't worried about the 'Strictly Come Dancing' "curse".
The 23-year-old singer is currently taking part in the BBC One celebrity dance contest - which has spawned numerous romances between people who were in relationships during their time on the show - but male model Oliver Cheshire insists he doesn't feel threatened by his girlfriend's partner, Trent Whiddon.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I've heard about the curse, but I'm alright. I'm not really worried."
Oliver also described his girlfriend's dance partner as "a really nice bloke".
The couple - who have been dating for four years - recently joined Trent and his dancer wife Gordana Grandosek on a double date.
They were all seen at Prince Harry's WellChild Awards in London on Monday (22.09.14).
Talk of a "Strictly curse" has increased in recent weeks after it emerged 'Countdown' beauty Rachel Riley - who split from her husband during last year's series - had begun dating her dance partner Pasha Kovalev.
Rumours of a romance between Ben Cohen and his 2013 partner Kristina Rihanoff was also rife last week after he announced he'd split from wife Abby.

Kanye West doesn’t care about awards

Kanye West "doesn't care" about his Grammy Awards.
The 'Yeezus' rapper - who has picked up 21 of the coveted trophies - told students at Los Angeles Trade Technical College during a guest talk on Friday (19.09.14) that he uses the prizes as "reference points" to "prove" his talents and also spoke of his frustration at not being taken seriously in the fashion industry.
Visual Communications student Andre Pitts told Complex: "He said that he doesn't care about his Grammys but he thinks of them as reference points.
"And that he can point back to them and say, 'I've proven that I can do this, so I should be able to do this.' So that's what he was trying to get out, that he feels that he is able to do these things but that he's being shot down by the fashion industry."
And during a question and answer session with the students, Kanye - who has 15-month-old daughter North with wife Kim Kardashian West - admitted he still thinks of himself as "the best artist" and prefers his own music to other people's.
Andre said: "Someone asked if he listens to his own music, or if he listens to other people's music. He said he likes to listen to his own music since he thinks he's the best artist, still."
The visit was at least Kanye's fourth time speaking to Los Angeles students, and it forms part of his 240-hour community service sentence which was handed out when he struck a plea deal over allegedly attacking a photographer last summer.

Robert Pattinson ‘falls hard’ for new love

The 'Twilight Saga' star became "instant friends" with the singer - whose real name is Tahliah Barnett - and romance quickly blossomed, with friends saying he is as serious about her as he was former girlfriend Kristen Stewart, who he dated for five years until last summer.
A source told HollywoodLife.com: "Rob is falling hard for Tahliah. He's just enamoured with her beauty, creativity and confidence. He hasn't felt this way about someone since Kristen.
"This is his girl and Rob is beyond proud to show her off. They became instant friends at first and it blossomed into a romance. He's really taken with her and not afraid to show it."
The 28-year-old actor has already introduced the 26-year-old musician to his friends in Los Angeles and is enjoying showing her the sights of the city.
The source added: "He's helping her get adjusted to LA life and has been really supportive of her - showing her around, introducing her to his friends. I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up on the set of her music video, which she is filming in town this week."
